Pros: Comfy ground floor room Lovely breakfast Communal table - may not suit everyone if you don't want to engage in conversation
Cons: Toilet was not in the room - had to walk through kitchen which was fine late evening , but a little uncomfortable to do so in the morning when the hosts were in the kitchen
Pros: Delightful host, lovely room and breakfast. Great location
Pros: Friendly hosts, clean and rooms are really beautifull
Pros: Breakfast spot on. Location very central, handy for restaurants, cafes, tourism. Very friendly owners, helpful. Enormous bath.
Pros: Very friendly hosts. Great modernised old village house. Location next to the cathedral. Very quiet at night. Great breakfast! Very secluded (to store a bike)
Cons: Nice modern shower in the room. Too bad there was no (space ?)for a toilet.
Pros: Very friendly, great recommendations for restaurants, walking distance to bars and restaurants. Hosts were really friendly and couldn’t do enough to make us feel welcome.
Cons: No en-suite toilet.
Pros: The room, the breakfast, the owners. The sheer surprise of a delightful place in a lovely town. We have been past Vendome many times and never realised that is an absolute gem, especially on a sunny evening.
Cons: Absolutely nothing. Wish I had booked 2 nights
Pros: Super friendly owner. Room super nice, like home.
Located in Vendome, Le Grand Saint-Marc is in a rural location, within a 5-minute drive of Trinity Abbey and Chapelle Saint-Jacques. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Nice room, great location, a warm welcome
Pros: Le Grand Saint-Marc is a splendid historic property that has been faithfully restored. It has a fascinating history and superb gardens that are a joy to wander in. The breakfast is handmade, bountiful and delicious. The host was charming, professional, attentive to our needs and made us feel very welcome. My husband and l loved Le Grand Saint-Marc. We would never stay anywhere else now that we've discovered this superb place. We highly recommend it.
Cons: Everything was perfect.
Cons: Nothing to dislike
Pros: Tranquil sanctuary for a weary and frazzled solo motorcyclist en route for S. France from Dieppe. Genuine hospitality from François who has worked a miracle with Le Grand Saint-Marc for the enjoyment of anyone lucky enough to stay there. I like quieter places on the edge of town so this was perfect for me. The loft room with exposed beams was a real treat!
Cons: Can't think of anything I would have changed.
Pros: The property was beautiful, quiet and well maintained.
Cons: Nothing at all
Pros: It was a beautiful setting in a walled park, wish we could have stayed longer.
Cons: Nothing it was lovely
Pros: Very welcoming host, everything we needed in the apartment, interesting grounds to walk round.
Pros: Private location and had a washing machine, which we needed. Interesting and quirky. Very close to enormous supermarket and therefore very good for self catering. Breakfast was fresh croissants and bread with preserves, yogurt, orange juice, cereal and filter coffee, served in small old outbuilding outbuilding. Nice gardens and large private estate in which to wander. Good stopover if cycling - shed adjoins house to store bikes.
Cons: Unfortunately we were there in a heatwave and no aircon, so difficult to sleep. Road noise from our buildings location when outside but quiet in.
Pros: Le Grand Saint Marc exceeded our expectations on many levels. We had a wonderful welcome which included wine tasting with the host, along with a tour of the grounds and history of the B&B. He is very proud of Le Grand Saint Marc - and rightly so. The accommodation has been done very sympathetically to it's origins but with plenty of modern, elegant touches. Everywhere was very clean, the bed was comfortable and the shower was good. We were able to sit outside both sides of the apartment depending on where the sun was - to chat with other guests or have privacy. The secure bike storage was useful, as were the great tips from the host about where to cycle to. We walked into Vendome (about 25 minutes) but having a big Leclerc only 5 minutes walk away was really handy. Being surrounded by the lovely grounds and walled areas made you feel as though you were miles away from anywhere. Very relaxing stay.
Pros: The friendly atmosphere, and our hosts attentiveness to our needs. The beautiful and relaxing environment, quiet and enclosed.

Cons: In my opinion 60 euros was quite a lot of money but I would still stay again.
Pros: Super friendly host, large room, spotless, provided a fan on our 2nd warm night
Cons: TV only in shared area. Sat Nav got confused, hotel not in Vendome, 3 minutes away (can't remember small village name).
Pros: Excellent welcome, initially from host and later her husband. Large bedroom tastefully furnished in a simple style. Property was easy to find and well located being only a few minutes drive from Vendôme with it's choice of bars and restaurants in a very attractive town centre. A quiet and very relaxing stay with lots of information given about points of interest in the vicinity for visitors who wish to explore the lesser known and beautiful Loir Valley.
Pros: Fresh omlets, wonderful hosts, just a superb stay! Highly recommend!!!!
Cons: It was great! Nothing was wrong.
Pros: Great welcome from our host who explained everything in English, gave us a welcoming drink of local wine, recommended several restaurants and rang to book for us when I had difficulty. Very convenient for the town and onward travel. Seemed very quiet despite not being far from main road. They make their own jam and other produce. Vendome is lovely small town with excellent restaurants and easy parking. The abbey church was beautifully lit up.
Cons: Er. ... Not much. Strange bedside lights. Actually I liked the decor which was very individual.
Pros: a wonderful location in the middle of the countryside. the house is completely renovated and situated in a large garden. there is a pirave guest parking. the room was spacious, bed was very comfortable, bathroom very spacious and complete. decoration was done with great eye for detail. the host was very welcoming, and when i had trouble finding the place, he was friendly enough to drive to where i stranded (half a mile away) and pick me up!! the breakfast was outstanding and compsed with a great eye for detail. with home made jams in three flavours and fresh croissants, bread, fruit, yoghurts and even sugar with vanilla sticks...
Cons: due to my navigation system i had a little trouble finding the house, but the host was immediately available to pick me up
Pros: The proprietor was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good quality and plentiful. The position was very convenient for our travels, just off the main road however it was extremely quiet in our room. I recommend this property.
Cons: The bed was a bit hard for me personally. Despite this, I slept well.
Pros: - Beautiful house and the hosts were kind and welcoming - Great recommendations for restaurants in the area - Delicious breakfast of homemade jams and warm bread - Jean-Claude can speak good English which was helpful - We could keep our bikes safely in the garage.
Pros: We had a ground floor room The rooms werer large and spacious and well presented. The en-suite faciities were excellent although my wife would have appreaciated another towel for her hair. The bed was very comfortable. The communal area with Kitchen was well appointed and breakfast was taken in this room. This room also contained a sofa and TV. The location was in a small hamlet outside Vendome which was very quiet. The owner arranged a table at a local restaurant (which was also excellent).
Cons: It wasn't possible to lock the external doors in the bedroom, this was achieved by fully closing the external shutters which made the room dark. The door to the communal area was lockable.
Pros: Fantastic modern decor. Superb shower. Large room Very friendly host. Excellent breakfast

Pros: A beautifully decorated hotel. Bed was excellent, town is lovely. Highly recommended
Pros: The comfort of the bed and the facilities I. The room
Cons: There was no ventilation in the room other than opening the window which was on to the Main Street, so noisy. There was a fan, but in this heat they really need to look into some kind of quiet cooling system.
Pros: Excellent breakfast and location
Cons: Was promised a city view and could only see the house next door. No air conditioning and it was very hot and humid. There was a lot of loud music coming from other neighbouring rooms. I think there was Building works ongoing.
Cons: Good location to centre
Pros: Nice room. Well located, and we were offered a garage to put the car in, which was very convenient. Helpful staff.
Cons: The shower didn't have a curtain or door, so it was difficult to shower without wetting the floor
Pros: Very stylish hotel: aiming high and largely achieving the level. Opulent.
Cons: Parking is rather fraught, requiring mindful attention to parking restrictions and timings. The hotel has no restaurant, though there are plenty of restaurants within 5 to 10 minutes walk.
Pros: Great Breakfast, rooms are comfortable and nice, the location is perfect and hospitality is absolutely fantastic. The WiFi is working perfectly and you even get complimentary water!
Cons: Being a frequent guest, I don't like the pre-authorization request on my credit card.

Pros: Excellent breakfast with good coffee machines, good ingredients and choice. The owners/ managers were very helpful and the evening meal in the bistro was exceptionally good ( try the magnificent almond tart!) and extremely good value.
Cons: The location is quite a long walk from the town centre and old town - nothing to be done, but take your walking shoes if you are sight seeing.

Cons: Very small room for three people
Pros: It was just 1k away from the centre of town with free parking in front of the hotel. The bed was absolutely the best I've ever slept in and the owner/staff were excellent.
Cons: Nothing to add
Pros: A good breakfast and our room overlooked the garden (see photo). A bit of a walk into the town but well worth it. Plenty of restaurants and a good vibe (it was Bastille Day!). We would like to return to Vendome and explore the town further.
Cons: The restaurant attached to the hotel looked good but is closed on Sundays. It meant that we had to walk into town (see above) though there was a local Italian place that looked promising.
Pros: The breakfast was only OK and the coffee was very poor.
Cons: No help with cases although we had to climb stairs to reach our room. No fans supplied to cool our extremely hot room - it was almost impossible to sleep. No fruit in the room although advertised.
