9.6 Excellent
Pros: Charming atmosphere. Excellent host! Very friendly. Homemade breakfast that served in stylish dining room on round table where you can meet other guests, talk with them, fell 19-20th century atmosphere. Not a big choice on breakfast to be honest, but very tasty. Beautiful garden, hotel itself, charming room design.
Cons: Omlette not included to breakfast, you need pay extra fee. Breakfast is good, but very small choice. Spiders found in the room. I know it could be kind of 'hotel style', but ...

Pros: Everything was so perfect. The breakfast had a good variety of items and fresh jams . The room was comfortable and spacious. The pool was warm and had comfortable chairs. We enjoyed having a campfire at night and paddle boarding and kayaking in the small pond. It was such a relaxing place and we wished we could have stayed longer!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic place - we are keeping this in mind for our next trip to France. One night was too short to really enjoy all that this place has to offer. The buildings have been restored with great passion and care and the owner makes sure that all the guests feel welcome. Unfortunately we were not on time for the table d'hôte, which no doubt would have been excellent, but our host made a reservation at the restaurant nearby and it was the best food we had had this vacation. Bed was super comfortable, every thing spotlessly clean, very much recommend this place!
Cons: Just a pity that we were too late for the table d'hôte, but we should have made our reservation a bit more in advance. Next time!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A beautiful property and a great host, who´s very knowleadgeable of the area and helped us plan our day trips. Very nicely decorated in a beautiful setting with a lake. It was a convenient location to visit the most popular chateaus and an ideal location to disconnect and recharge.

Pros: Amazing place. Super friendly owner. Beautiful surroundings, delicious breakfast. Very kids friendly.
Cons: Everything was great. We will come back.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location, good breakfast, very peaceful and quite location
10.0 Excellent
Pros: From the moment we stepped out of our car after travelling 5 hours from Bergerac and were greeted by Frederique and his daughter, we sensed our stay was going to be special. The property is stunning - peaceful, idyllic, full of history and subtly luxurious. Our room was pristine with lovely finishes like cosy bed throws, coffee and tea making facilities, bottles of water and Hugo Boss towels and flannels. We had considered having dinner in Ambroise even though a meal at the property had been previously offered during our correspondence with Frederique. Within five minutes of arriving and seeing our host’s genuine warmth and enthusiasm to make our stay as good as possible we decided to proceed with dinner at Le Moulin with our nearly three year old and we couldn’t have wished for a better meal - simple but delicious home-cooked food, a couple of carafes of local wine and a gorgeous outlook over the lake. Breakfast was gorgeous, complete with homemade jams and the biggest pain au chocolate we’ve ever seen! Thank you to Frederique for being a perfect, sincere and warm host. You made the end of our holiday simply the best.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly helpful owners, who were able to offer advise regarding local events, places of interest, restaurants etc. The breakfasts were excellent and Christina varied the choices available. The best cup of tea in France!! The bedroom was tastefully furnished and the bathroom was superb, everything was spotlessly clean.
Cons: The traffic was a little noisy early in the morning but other than that everything was perfect.
9.6 Excellent

Pros: Breakfast was excellent. Feeling very comfortable.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We travelled by bicycles along the Loire and stayed at this property for 3 nights. Our room was spacious, very clean and decorated nicely. We had the best nights sleep there as it was a quiet area and the bed was very comfortable. The modern bathroom with lots of drawers and large shower was a bonus! The property was close to town just down the road and over the bridge. Our hostess, Cristina was very friendly and kind and gave us every morning a wonderful breakfast to start the day of cycling and sightseeing!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The accommodation and the plentiful breakfast were superb. We were warmly welcomed by the host who advised us about the interesting part of the city we could visit that evening. There was secure parking next to the house and we were able to sit on the patio in privacy to enjoy the summer sun. Thoroughly recommend!
Cons: Can find nothing we didn’t like!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: We really enjoyed our stay! The guest room was spotless, spacious (the bathroom was huge!), and appeared to be brand new with a separate entrance. Cristina's house is located in a very quiet neighborhood, but is a short walk (~2km) to historic Tours. Breakfast included a lovely selection of breads, croissants, and pastries with fresh fruit and coffee/tea.
Cons: Honestly, we were thrilled with our stay and the only small inconvenience is that my partner is rather tall and the bed (most beds!) was a bit short given the foot board.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely host, walking distance to Tours centre. Comfortable and clean and very good continental breakfast with delicious home made madeleines. A beautiful home.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The attentive host- Cristina - made our visit such a pleasure

Pros: Peaceful and lovely location. Simple and welcoming. Hone-made amazing breakfast. Our second stay there....
Cons: Nothing
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The host and hostess are some of the kindest people we met in France - and that is saying a lot. We stayed in some upscale B& B's (which this is not) but it is the loving nature of these hosts with their appreciation of nature and their depth of character we will always remember. Jean-Claude and Nari love sharing their homegrown, home-made delights and gave us the gift of their time and conversation at breakfast. One of the most delicious things we ate on our whole trip was a tomato picked ripe and fresh from their vine. These are generous, wonderful people. Lovely homemade breakfasts, comfy bed, everything clean and convenient. I cannot imagine anyone having a less than good experience at the hands of these genuinely wonderful French hosts.
Cons: As we drove up, the first thing we saw on our right was a messy scene - farm implements, old boards, clutter. Once you come around the corner, the place is fine, but that first view was off-putting enough we almost backed out the driveway (I'm so glad we didn't!). That less-than-sterling first impression was immediately supplanted by a warm reception, their accommodation for our fumbling attempts at french, and their forgiveness for us inexcusably oversleeping breakfast the first morning which they kept warm (a special, delicious, homemade breakfast! :-( ).

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent loft type accommodation for 5 - comfy beds, air con and wifi. Ease of access from main roads as we were using this as a respite stop en route to the South of France. Beatrice was a lovely host and home made jams accompanied the breakfast.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Warm and comfortable with a separate kitchen. Very peaceful. The owner was very welcoming and helpful, she provided a lovely continental breakfast with some homemade produce. We will definitely return.
Cons: Nothing
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The nice location and the personal touch of the owners.
Cons: Nothing
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Everything, and in particular the kindness of the guest, the villa and its nice furnishments, the delicious breakfast served in the lovely living room
Cons: Nothing
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Loved the property especially the personally prepared continental breakfast, on our second morning the French Egg Toast was to die for. The room was very comfortable and the Wifi excellent, shower good with a great supply of hot water. We managed to communicate with Beatrice well with our school / college French. The location is great for visiting Tours and the Loire Valley. There is a great bistro restaurant about 2km away for dinner where we dined both evenings.
Cons: Whilst the room was comfortable the en-suite bathroom was down steep stairs so for a night time loo visit you had to be careful. Appreciate the weather had been hot but the garden looked as though it need a little TLC
7.9 Good
Pros: A nice house near Tours. THe place is good for Loire-valley adventures. The owners are nice. Has a small but cozy pool.
Cons: The house looks good on the photos, but your room will likely be in the back of the building, or on top of the garage -a bit disappointing. The WIFI in our room was unreliable, worked only in certain places in the house. The breakfast is typical French: bread, jam and orange juice. Good quality and fine, but not for the meat lovers.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Sadly no croissant just bread brioche etc. Nice jam. Weather not good enough to swim so disappointing.
Cons: Croissant for breakfast and better coffee.beautiful house and surroundings and the owner and her daughter were very helpful.
Hôtel Colbert Tours - Tours - Building
8
9.1 Excellent (212 reviews)
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Hôtel Colbert Tours, you'll be centrally located in Tours, just a 4-minute walk from Tours Cathedral and 8 minutes by foot from Vinci International Convention Centre. The front desk is staffed during limited hours.
7.1 Good
Pros: Good location in funky older part of town, room was clean, staff was friendly and informative.
Cons: The room was a bit run down with peeling wall paper, and was mostly dark gray, and not in a trendy way, which made it depressing and dark. Adding to that, the lighting was cold and not strong enough to brighten up the place or to read by. Left knowing I should have gone to the Best Western for similar price, way better quality and in a better area.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Location, plum in the middle of town in a pedestrian only street. Short term vehicular access for offloading no problem. All amenities and visitor attractions within easy walking distance. Rated 2-star but our room was more than adequate for a short stopover with interesting decor. No a/c but the room was cool enough even though hot outside. Breakfast pretty good for the price. The owner/manager very helpful. Parking in a nearby underground carpark (400m away) at a heavily subsidised price worked well.
Cons: Nothing really, however, on a practical note, probably not the most suitable for someone with a disability.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Lovely host Olivier, he was most hospitable and welcoming.
7.1 Good
Cons: Reception closes at 7pm. Because of its limited hours, you may not get help when you need it. Room was on upper level, but its extremely noisy. Its facing the street and tons of people hangout in the bars around the property. Very noisy until 230am! I like to keep window open for some air but it was impossible.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Hotel Colbert is a very nice hidden treasure as it is recently renovated. It had the perfect location, close to the popular bars and restaurants as well as shopping area. At a short distance of the Loire for a nice morning or evening walk. The owners were very friendly people and were flexible to keep our luggage until the afternoon in a separate storage room. Also the breakfast was good value for money. We'll come back!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is in an excellent location for those who wish to be in the centre of Tours. The street has many varied and good restaurants along it and in was a short walk from the busy cafés of Place Plumereau. Even though we were on a tourist street, our room overlooked the garden so it was quiet at night. Overnight parking was available at 8euros50 per day a short walk away.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It’s a gem! Good size room, clean, fresh decorations and in a perfect location for walking to everything - museums and shops and the old area of Tours. In a pedestrian street with a huge variety of restaurants and bars to choose from. Breakfast is good too and the owner is very helpful. We will stay again, it’s really good value and very secure.
Cons: Can’t think of anything

10.0 Excellent
Pros: We liked the decor, cleanliness, hospitality. Would highly recommend.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Convenient location, with a car and wonderful friendly hosts. Assisted us with wine glasses and plates for our impromptu open air antipasto and fromage dinner!
Cons: Nothing really but any chance of some mugs and tea in the room?
8.5 Excellent
Pros: The hospitality of the owners was outstanding. The room was very clean, nice size and bed was extra firm which we love. Nice breakfast (French style) . The location is convenient for day trips in the Liore valley and is close to Tours (city) if you want to drive into the city for dinner.
Cons: The shower had a very shallow basin and no glass door, so after showering the bathroom floor is very wet.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: "L'assiette fraicheur" offered in the evening. The excellent personal attention accorded to us as guests
Cons: One very minor complaint. For a property of this high quality, we believe that plastic coffee/tea cups located in the bedroom should be replaced by normal porcelain.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Friendly welcome and although there was no restaurant, the hotel were happy to prepare a nice cold plate with a bottle of wine for us!
Cons: Narrow access road and no restaurant.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A delicious dinner served in living room, with low nice music. The couple made everything perfect. Relaxing stay!.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Location and garden. The owners are absolutely charming and go the extra step to please their guests
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was not what was expected for the price paid.
Cons: breakfast
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Great location for the A10, lovely people - and a sweet dog! Having noticed from the car that we were English we were very kindly served with a pot of tea while we were sitting in the garden. A nice touch.
Cons: They have clearly spent a lot of money on decoration (lovely curtains!) so why was there a small plastic/paper cup in the room for coffee not a real cup? A suggestion rather than a complaint.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Classical French comfort and quality of service with excellent cooking.
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very welcoming. Traditional French hotel in a wonderful building. Given a free upgrade!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: A warm welcome and excellent dinner with reasonably priced wine - what more do you want? Bonus - the restaurant is open on Monday evening The room was comfortable and atmospheric- the auberge's 5 rooms are in a separate turn of the 20th century house that has been nicely restored. Worth paying for the breakfast in the restaurant.
Cons: Everything was fine - no complaints!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: comfortable; caring; excellent breakfast
Cons: When we arrived - approx. 4.00pm - all of the buildings were shut up, and there were no signs indicating where reception was, or what the situation was. This was rather disappointing and confusing after a long journey. Once madame had arrived - at 5.00pm - everything was fine.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Attentive staff. Fantastic food prepared with care from quality local produce. Located not far from motorway.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly people
Cons: Is far from the motorway
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The building is a typical French House and we had a lovely twin room which we had asked for. It was very comfortable. Only sad that their Restaurant was shut the day we were there (check opening times as it looks wonderful)
Cons: Breakfast is in another building - again as weather was nice it did not matter so much.

Pros: Great hospitality from Camel, the guy in charge of everything
7.5 Good
Pros: Individuality. Very different to anywhere else I’ve stayed. Bedroom and en-suite very comfortable. Warm welcome
Cons: The location was the only disappointment- 1.5 miles from the centre of Tours
9.6 Excellent
Pros: We didn't take the breakfast in the hotel, as we planned a Brunch in a restaurant. But as we know, the café, the tea ant some snacks are for free! Furthermore, the hotel is very beautiful, there are not many rooms, and it's quite quiet. We had a very good experience there!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Absolutely unique and very inviting. So many nice touches!
Cons: We actually liked everything, including the location, but I imagine some people would find it ‘remote’. But it’s not! It’s a very walkable location to all the ‘sights ‘
9.2 Excellent
Pros: very nice and clean rooms, friendly + helpful personnel
Cons: some distance to the center, would be great if there would be fe bikes available
6.7 Good
Pros: The rooms were comfortable and clean. Breakfast was nice with local bread and Croissants were very nice. This place wasn't a typical hotel and was different.
Cons: Location was very poor, colleague and I were staying for a work trip and had to travel a long distance to the bus stop every morning. The hotel itself is in a rough part of town and the exterior definitely does not match the interior. When we arrived there was no one to greet up and no call after confirming our time of arrival. Breakfast although nice led us to be late to work on numerous occasions throughout our stay.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: An amazing oasis in the middle of a residential area! The furnishings and decoration are chock-full of character and the whole place was peaceful and comfortable. Our host Kamil was charming and ready to help at all times.
Cons: Be prepared for a bit of a walk into town, but there is a tram available nearby.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Had the best over night stay here, absolutely amazing interior, with the most wonderful hosts who were so attentive and made a delicious breakfast! The white room was stunning and was very clean. Definitely will be returning again :)
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful decor, comfortable bed, friendly and helpful staff, absolutely loved this place and will be back
Cons: Nothing
Hotel Les Hautes Roches - Rochecorbon - Bedroom
12
9.0 Excellent (291 reviews)
Overview Reviews
The Hotel les Hautes Roches offers a pleasant stay in Rochecorbon for those traveling for business or leisure. Many local tourist attractions including the Chapelle Saint-Georges and La Rabouilleuse-École de Loire can easily be reached with a short drive. In their spare time, guests can explore the hotel's surroundings. When it comes to Rochecorbon hotels, the Hotel les Hautes Roches is highly regarded for its excellent facilities.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel’s location is fantastic. Comfortable and well decorated rooms. Our stay there exceeded our expectations.
5.4 Okay
Pros: Restaurant was open late and the terrace was a lovely place to have a drink.
Cons: Room was warm and humid and smelled a bit like mildew. They don’t have air conditioning in any but 1 or 2 of the rooms, and that was unexpected as booking.com said they did. The hotel told us that they’d let booking.com know about the AC situation multiple times, however the information remained incorrect on booking.com’s site. After a 5 hour drive to get to the property, my husband and I were extremely disappointed to be shown to a room that was muggy and smelled of mildew. The rooms are billed as luxury, but even aside from the fact that there is no AC, there leaves much to be desired. The bedding is old school - some kind of satin blend comforter. The lighting is also very poor in the room. Finally, the bathroom is what similar to what I’ve seen in Hilton Garden Inn types of places - vinyl lined walls tub, basic fixtures, etc. On top of all of this, the garbage can in the bathroom was on the sink, which just grossed me out. I shouldn’t have to move it after spending $300 for the night. I do want to note that almost all of the staff (except for the brusque man who showed us to our room), was extremely polite and helpful. Bottom line, if we had paid $100, then fine, it’s what I’d have expected, but for $300+, it was an utterly disappointing experience that we were simply stuck with since we arrived after 11pm.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very warm welcome, nice rooms, special design!
9.0 Excellent
Pros: the hotel room in the rock was a pleasant experience. The restaurant food was creative, and the service was impeccable.
Cons: may be to have a coffee machine in the room.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Spacious room, clean. Outstanding restaurant, friendly and helpful staff
Cons: In a quiet place. Had to drive everywhere
6.7 Good
Pros: the room was unique because it was carved into a cliff. Room was very spacious and well laid out.
Cons: the hotel is unique being carved into a cliff, but is need of a renovation
5.8 Okay
Pros: The coffee and pool area
Cons: Over priced breakfast that we were not aware of. Old fashioned rooms that were tatty and the fire place was dirty. Staff generally were not friendly and grumpy.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The building was spectacular! The troglodyte rooms are an amazing experience, and the patio overlooking the Loire river is the perfect place for an evening drink. We spent a few evenings out there as well as checking out their wonderful restaurant. The location was great - close to Tours and a lot of the most famous chateaus (with a car at least) but enough outside of the city to feel like a country setting
Cons: The room decor (like the bedding) and amenities (specifically the toiletries) were a little outdated for a four star hotel. They could use a small upgrade.
Overview Reviews
When you stay at L'Aubinière Hôtel-Restaurant & Spa (2234370) in Saint-Ouen-les-Vignes, you'll be within a 10-minute drive of La Reserve de Beaumarchais and Château d'Amboise. Free self parking is available onsite.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Room was very comfortable, well decorated and laid out. Slight mold evident on tiles behind bath a little surprising considering the standard of the rest of the hotel. Restaurant offered very good menu and wine list impressive.
Cons: Pool and spa not open into evening nor before 10 am
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The staff is welcoming, the room is nice.
Cons: The outside space is limited compared with other country hotels I stayed.
6.7 Good
Pros: The hotel was really nicely decorated. Quite modern with a lovely view from the pool area.
Cons: The pool could have been slightly cleaner. Also the staff were very unhelpful. When I thought I'd left my kindle in the room after we left, I phoned up once and they asked me to phone back in an hour after they'd checked the room. When I phoned after an hour back the woman on the phone suggested we drive back to the hotel to check the room ourselves as she didn't have time. I think that's extremely poor service for an otherwise very nice hotel.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very good food and good spa
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The staff were friendly and welcoming and the hotel was lovely. The food in the restaurant was wonderful. The spa was small but nice and the pool and terrace were great to use in the evening sun after a day's travelling
Cons: The automatic room entrance light kept going on and off at the beginning of the night - until we discovered the hotel cat had crept in the window earlier and was trying to get out of the door...! Nothing apart from having to leave the next morning.
10.0 Excellent

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very comfortable rooms, great AC, easy parking, good WiFi. Excellent restaurant. Nice teracce facing the garden. Quiet!!!! Very nice staff.
Cons: Would have loved some more seasonal fruit for breakfast ie strawberries, raspberries etc.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The staff were perfectly attentively we wanted for nothing!! The Spa facilities were fabulous, we were lucky enough to have them to ourselves one afternoon. The bedroom was fantastic very big and roomy and the mini bar was included. We had dinner in the restaurant the first night, it was one of the best meals we've ever had and we had a perfect table overlooking the gorgeous garden.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent welcome, very nice and quiet room. The spa and the restaurant were top class with a special mention for the chef and the team who deserve stars if they don’t already have. The jacuzzi is in front of the windows facing the green garden and that enhance the relaxation while inside. The reception staff makes you feel very welcome and special and would do anything to arrange any requirement or need. This hotel is a little gem in the Loire valley and really worthy to stay in.
Cons: The hairdryer is a bit weak, but it’s a minuscule detail when everything else is far beyond expectations

Pros: The location is bang on in the middle of everything. Perhaps a bit too central, if you require some peace and quite. Having said that our room was very quite and peacefulat night. Exceptionally clean, comfy bed and the staff was superb, friendly, warm, helpful and went out of their way to accommodate us. Our room was very small but for 1 night that was ok. All in all great location, very clean, excellent staff... Would stay again and would recomend. Thanks for your hospitality.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location, cozy room. Price
Cons: Check in at 2:30pm without earlier entrance.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We loved the proprietors. They were very welcoming, very helpful, had great restaurant suggestions which were all within a few minutes walk. The location is in the old part of town and we loved the view from our window. Breakfast was sublime. There was so much choice and everything was delicious. Our room was spotless and the bed so comfortble.
Cons: The rooms are cozy but this is to be expected in such an old building (which has been beautifully restored).
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The hosts and location were excellent. The breakfast available (additional cost) was convenient, delicious and reasonably priced. The rooms were fine—small, but not unacceptably so.
Cons: The only negative was that the interior walls were thin and we could hear people coming and going, and noise from the rooms.

Pros: The room was clean and had everything you'd expect. Nice breakfast with plenty choice. Good location in town, easier to get to than expected. The hotel receptionist directed us to the Rue Colbert (one block nearer the river) and said to turn right where we'd find plenty restaurants – true, but many were closed and the rest were almost all of Asian or other ethnic cuisines. It's better to turn LEFT on Rue Colbert and walk three or four blocks to the old town square where there were plenty cafes and restaurants and a lively atmosphere.
Cons: The room was small and the bed rather harder than we liked. Otherwise everything was fine

Pros: We arrived on our bicycles (we were cycling the Loire cycle route from Blois to Saumur)in a thunderstorm and both we and the bikes were made immediately welcome. There is no restaurant but the young man who greeted us offered to take us to a nearby restaurant and pick us up since it was pouring with rain and not cycling weather. In the end, we had cycled so far and eaten a sufficiently large lunch that we declined his very kind offer and opted for an early night. Our room was beautifully decorated and furnished with sufficient signs of use to make you feel as though you were visiting friends rather than staying in commercial accommodation. The bathroom was huge, with a well-sized bath and instant hot water; the view was amazing. The breakfast was ample, delicious and very fresh. It is served in the Orangery, which is delightful. We explored the estate in the morning and at no stage were we made to feel that we had to hurry to leave. Our only disappointment was that it wasn’t really swimming weather in the morning so we didn’t try the pool. But we’re intending to return as soon as we can. We also enjoyed the company of one of the cats who supervised our morning walk.
Cons: There is nothing to dislike but it’s worth bearing in mind that you will need to travel a mile or two for an evening meal. Obviously this is not an issue if you are travelling by car but other cyclists may want to eat prior to arriving - especially if the weather is dodgy.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Absolutely stunning house Amazing setting and views Lovely owner who gave us a warm welcome
Cons: NOTHING
6.7 Good
Pros: Beautiful place in lovely area of France.
Cons: When we arrived the hostess greeted us with oh you were lucky to get a room tonight as we have a wedding tomorrow! In other words we are too busy to be bothered with you! We didn't see anyone after initial meeting and did our own thing.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: All the rest. The room, the swimming pool, minimal bureaucracy, cleanliness, the setting
Cons: Breakfast was minimal.
4.6 Okay
Pros: Swimming pool a good size. Bathroom and bedroom clean.
Cons: Breakfast very poor and lacking imagination: rationed out on a tray, no choice, ultra-ordinary orange juice, one under-ripe piece of fruit per person, some bread, packet butter, jam, mini pastries (which we didn't want but were served anyway). Staff seemed disinterested in us, at both arrival and departure they asked who we were and no one ever asked if things were ok. We stayed during heatwave but no bottled water provided in room or anywhere else. Aircon in room was turned off centrally at night when it was really needed! Noise from an electric drill being used by swimming pool in mid-afternoon when we had hoped to relax there. Grounds did not live up to online photos, rather shabby. Some of the furniture and furnishings in room also had seen better days. Location on quite a busy road not conducive to walking to nearby villages.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Best swimming pool I have ever had the pleasure to swim in. The room was excellent. Breakfast very nice.
Cons: WiFi connection seemed slow... but didn't need it for much so wasn't a concern for us.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved the relaxed environment, countryside of the Loire, beautiful old chateau that's been renovated and modernized but kept old world charm. We liked that it had a heated pool and lounge area. Breakfast was great and the owners were very sweet. Susanne made breakfast early for us on our day of departure. Locywas perfect for touring the châteaux and wineries of the Loire Valley.
Cons: There had been a wedding on Saturday and some of the party stayed over so when we arrived Sunday afternoon we couldn't use the pool area or terrace. It lasted way into the night.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff - very friendly and helpful
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The staff! We arrived at close to 11pm and one of the first things the staff asked was whether we had eaten. We hadn't! So he showed us the room service menu and recommended a few restaurants around the hotel that were still open. We thought that was really attentive. When we needed a driver to show us around, the reception staff also quickly arranged a good driver for us. The hotel was very nice: centrally located, close to the Tours train station, tourism office, lots of restaurants, post office, etc.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This little gem of a hotel is tucked away on a quiet street in Tours. It has first class facilities & is located near amenities and the main shopping areas in the city centre. Wish we could have stayed 1 more nite to enjoy the facilities eg spa & heated pool [which opens till 11pm (a rarity indeed)] & explored Tours and its attractions. We’ll definitely return to Tours & stay here again. Will also recommend this 1st rate oasis in the Loire Valley to all our friends & relatives!!
Cons: Wish they had a fridge & small kitchenette in the executive suites for simple meals to be prepared on lazy days.
7.9 Good
Pros: Very DOG friendly hotel - we could even bring our dog into the restaurant which was great! The dinner we had in the restaurant was lovely
Cons: Part of the Hotel is very run down and looks a little 'dusty'

6.0 Good
Pros: It is in a very good position near the railway station and the congress center.
Cons: Some of the hotel staff was not very helpful and was not speaking well the English language. Also, a lot of noise of people walking the stairs and inside the rooms could be heard due to the old wooden floors.

Pros: Location, decor, atmosphere, friendly hosts
Cons: No dinner was available
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location was superb. Large rooms, well furnished and very comfortable
Cons: Nothing. It was superb. Will stay again for certain.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The owner was very nice & helpful and full of tips on nice restaurants. She was flexible & allowed a late check out.
Cons: Our room was beautiful but the shower (head only not attached to the wall) fell below our expectations. We had booked the hotel on the understanding that they provided bikes but that wasn’t the case and so the location without a bike was too remote.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was served in a grand, sunlit salon with high ceilings, tall windows, and classical music playing in the background. The food included a generous selection of fresh fruits, breads, pastries and local cheeses. A perfect way to start the day.
Cons: There is no air conditioning so the rooms may become uncomfortable for some guests on hot summer days. Fortunately, it is comfortable for most of the tourist season. The house looks a little run down and it merits a deep restoration, but that being said it has a kind of romantic charm. The grounds are lovely and the pool is a plus in the summer.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Extremely welcoming and friendly host that goes above and beyond to provide the best experience. Upon our arrival, given the availability she upgraded us to a more spacious room with view on the garden. When we asked if she had alternative milk she even made a trip to the grocery store nearby to get us some soy milk for breakfast. The chateau is part of collection chain of individually owned chateaux and restaurants. Definitely recommend it!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The Owner was very welcoming and hospitable. She was very helpful booking taxis and recommending where to eat.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was very good with wide choices of food available. The owner was extremely freindly and helpful.
Cons: The extreme heat during the days we spent in France meant that the room was hot at nightime. However this is a minor criticism as there were many windows to allow air in.

6.7 Good
Pros: Beautiful grounds. Easy parking for our van.
Cons: Online and on the map given to us at reception it shows the chateau in all it's glory with no indication that the standard accommodation was not in the chateau but another building which to be honest was not to a standard of a 4 star hotel. We felt duped. C'est une blague! Ashame but that's the way it came across.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Large room, very quiet restaurant,
Cons: Coffee machine was not working properly The bathroom was very large but the shower was very small, too small. The door of the shower was also leaking water out
3.3 Mediocre
Pros: quite Nothing, just another cheap mass hotel
Cons: we arrived late , check in normal and ordered food to our room , food was reasonable, but than when we opened the bed my wife found that the sheets where spotted with " fresh" human spots , so the beds had not been changed. Phoning the front desk the girl wanted an exact description of these spots?anyway she come to change and explained, that she was allone , one person for 65 rooms, front desk and all the other work. In the morning we went down to have break first what we found there was an low budget set up with cold pan cakes and only unexpensive additives. Taking our caffee two waiters started to remove all set up tables arround us ,what an athmosphare in the Morning. This hotel is just a cheap set up working at this time with the minimum of staff.

Pros: Mid town location but with safe private parking. Easy to find from Motorway. Good location for a stop over when traveling the length of France.Excellent restaurant serving a nice (not inexpensive!) dinner. Didn't stay for breakfast.
Cons: Not a complaint but an observation. Spa building not connected directly to rooms. We saw it on a day that was pouring with rain so would not encourage use of Spa but would be no problem when warm and sunny.
