Pros: Everything is perfect. Kind, friendly, thoughtful hosts, who go out of their way to help their guests. A well designed room, with well thought out space and so it would make long stays very comfortable. A delicious, breakfast, where everything is home-made. This is an exceptional chambre d'hote.

Pros: Our hosts were very friendly and welcoming. Nothing was too much for them. It had been raining hard and when we arrived we looked like drowned rats! They allowed us to wash and dry our clothes. The house is set in beautiful surroundings. Our room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was wonderful, it was all organic and homemade. Even the eggs came from their own hens. We all ate breakfast together before saying our goodbyes. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: This place is a truly magical place in the countryside east of Toulouse. This is our third time staying here, and I hope to be able to someday write 30th time.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We really appreciated the fabulous dinner on the terrace watching the sun set over a stunning view, which we also overlooked from our very tastefully furnished, extremely comfortable and spotless room ("La Lauragais"). Incredibly diverse, delicious buffet at breakfast. Our hosts, Philippe and Andonis couldn't have been more charming or attentive. VERY highly recommended special place, full of character, in a unique location, for a luxurious stay in a lovely area of countryside - with Toulouse only a short distance away.
Cons: Faultless
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is a small privately run hotel and as such has charm and character. Like most similar hotels it may not be perceived as "perfect" by some, for example, the plug in the basin didn't hold water long enough to have a shave, the shower was not thermostatically controlled, etc. but you get to meet and talk with the owners, the people who run the hotel as their business. Here they are very friendly and made us feel so welcome. We ate at the restaurant each of the 3 nights of our stay and the food was excellent. Andonis, one of the owners, is the chef. The wine too was excellent and reasonably priced and Phillipe, the other owner, was very knowledgeable and helped us choose something that suited both us and the meal. Before we visited we contacted the hotel as we had a few preferences when it comes to diet and the meal is a set meal each night. They were quick to reply on each occasion and the menu each night took account of our tastes. We booked this trip away hoping to have a relaxing break with good food, an attractive setting and the option to take some short walks either from the hotel or nearby. We achieved all this and, like many of their previous guests, would love to make a return trip at sometime in the not to distant future.
Cons: There was nothing we disliked.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great hosts! Beautiful century old stone inn filled with books, music, a couple of well behaved dogs and sweeping views of the countryside from every window. Delicious dinners made from fresh, locally sourced ingredients. No, it is not easy to get to, but it was worth it!

Pros: Excellent, beautiful, peaceful location overlooking fields and hills. Large room with a enormous bathroom with a stunning view. Friendly, helpful and informative owners. The dinners were some of the best we have ever had i France and we have visited France quite often. The pool area and the garden wonderful, relaxing and peaceful.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Every aspect of our stay was wonderful. The hosts are kind and brilliant. Our room made us fantasize about living there forever. The delicious meals certainly helped the fantasy. The surrounding countryside, villages, and towns are full of gentle surprises. We are already planning our next visit.
Cons: Some guests might not appreciate the musical hour after dinner. We could hear it in the distance in our room, and it sounded like people (one with an exceptional voice) were having a very good time.

Pros: Donna and Chris were incredibly welcoming and their property is really beautiful - I would certainly recommend staying here and hope to be back again before too long!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Found this wonderful place by chance, looking for a 'pit stop'. The owners, Donna & Chris could not have been more welcoming and helpful and so knowledgeable about the area. We booked dinner which was prepared by Donna and oh my, absolutely delicious and such a bargain. The place itself is a converted mill and the conversions have been carried out very tastefully, in an extremely stylish and elegant fashion. The bedroom we stayed in was extremely comfortable, we both slept very well and there were little extras such as tea & coffee, toiletries, sweeties, night light - all very thoughtful little touches. We could only stay one night as had plans, but we are already discussing going back and staying for a few nights so that we can make use of the lovely pool and stunning gardens that have the most beautiful scenic views over the surrounding valley. We loved it!
Cons: Nothing!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice dogs on the premises and pet friendly; hosts very accommodating
Cons: Room a little small and no where to work with laptop which would have been helpful but the communal living area was very spacious and the gardens beautiful.

Cons: There was nothing that was really negative. It is just an average place for an overnight stay.

3.8 Mediocre
Pros: we liked the pool area, though seating and a shower would have been good.
Cons: check in was appalling. made to feel very unwelcome by a grim faced, unsmiling woman who greeted us by asking us what did we want. We said, " to check in" and were subjected to a display of bad manners, comprising of gallic shrugs, sighs of exasperation and eyes rolling to the heavens...incredible. The pokey dirty room under the eaves of the second floor almost made us leave, but we were too tired.

Cons: Terrible. Don’t recommend.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Close to Ravel and the lake
Cons: I thought the rooms had air conditioning but they didn't so it was a little warm.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Evening meal good. Fantastic location.
Cons: The staff could not have been less friendly. We felt as if we were an inconvenience. They showed no customer service or care. They argued about the number of rooms booked (3, and they said we had only booked 2) and the basis of our booking (half board). They then tried to overcharge us by 200 euro at check out. We felt uncomfortable being in the hotel.
4.5 Okay
Pros: There was nothing for breakfast that resembled food and the toaster was broken, so I had an expensive coffee and was charged for just being there at the breakfast room.
Cons: The reception staff made me feel as I was an imposition to their day
5.5 Okay
Cons: Road noise. Only twin room available on 2nd floor no lift. Had to make do with double bed room on ground floor - didn't sleep well due to road noise. On booking we were told no restaurant. When we got there the restaurant was operational.
7.3 Good
Pros: Lovely location with very friendly relaxed staff. Food very good and varied at a reasonable charge. Rooms comfortable and clean.
Cons: It was not a problem to us but there is no lift and there are 3 floors, could be difficult for some elderly people.
3.6 Mediocre
Pros: the area is very nice, romantic lake, poor commercial facilities, restaurants, etc
Cons:
6.0 Good
Pros: Location is ideal for exploring the scenic, historic, and beautiful countryside and medieval villages between Toulouse and Carcassonne. The forest-park and lake of St. Ferreol just across the street were just lovely. Continental breakfast buffet (included) was varied and delicious. Very friendly staff. Good hotel restaurant with regional specialties (although we did not eat there).
Cons: A room for 4 people (2 adults and 2 children) with one queen bed and a bunk bed was cramped. Bathroom was small, and had no shower curtains. Compared to country Gites and Auberges we've seen in France the price was a bit high. Finding St. Ferreol and the nearby town of Revel at night via a spider's web of small country roads can be a challenge.

Cons: The tenants were not informed about our arrival, but they adapted very well to the situation, and the room was ready very quick.

Pros: The accommodation is located 30min away from Castres and it's like an old farm. The owner is very friendly and courteous and speaks French / English / German more or less fluently. The atmosphere is very nice and the environment is very silent. I can fully recommend "Le Ribet". Thanks for the nice stay!
Cons: At least in our room, the bathroom is part of the room itself. It is separated by curtain. You should be very familiar with the person you are sharing the room. Otherwise it might be a little bit weird :-)
