Very comfortable hotel. Friendly and helpful staff. Fabulous views. Well located in village. Convenient garage. Food good quality and honest.
The montain view No fresh orange or fruits juices for breakfast
Excellent hotel, with charming details set in a picturesque location. Would like to go there again. The staff in the retsaurant was hard to get hold of, probably because it was low season.
The common areas are nice. The room was not very nice at all.
inside picina(pool), hamam, aromatic shower, restaurant only continental breakfast, no english breakfast
Quality of food and service in the restaurant, hotel staff
Friendly staff, easy parking, clean and comfortable rooms. Food in the restaurant was OK, nothing to complain about but I had higher expectations based on the rest of the hotel.
the rooms are excellent, the view - just great, the spa - outstanding
Great location, charming hotel rooms and common areas. Top notch service. And most of all the restaurant - the chef is a genius! The prices for food and wine are very reasonable for the quality. No
Breakfast and the spa! The reed diffusers throughout the hotel. They smell terrible.
it is a nice and clean hotel. the spa should be open to all for longer and the private booking could be cheaper...it would be better to have more wooden chairs in the spa to relax
Hotel staff are very kind and charming, our room was a little room but was valuable considering the price. we could enjoy free public sauna and jet bathe and it's plus point of this hotel.
We liked the spa, even though the water in the hot tub was not hot. The breakfast was great. The room was small but nice. The location is great. The restaurant was closed. We were forced to east a a restaurant we didn't like.
The lady's of the reception were very friendly. The fire place, one of the evenings was nice. The man at the breakfast room was not so nice.
Excellent service of the staff and excellent locatioan of the hotel. Cogne & Gran Paradiso are beautiful. I will come back!!!
We enjoyed the use of the spa between 17:00-18:30 that was included in the rate. It was nicely decorated and very cosy. It would be nice to have cold water in the shower to cool off. The prices of the massages were very reasonable. I would have liked an option for a deep tissue massage. The salon had a very nice ambience and we enjoyed having breakfast there when there were few guests. The staff was very friendly. Everything was in easy walking distance. We didn't need to take the care. We had a wonderful stay.
Wonderful Staff, Great food
Spa, saunas. The restaurant is not so good for the price. It's very expensive!!
Just about everything; the hotel is excellent, the staff could not be more friendly and helpful, the views are stunning, the food is also very good. Nothing
A perfect place for a romantic week-end. The wellness centre is very nice and the small outdoor jacuzzi is great, with a stunning view on the Mont-Blanc. Superb buffet breakfast, with again this fabulous view on the Mont-Blanc. Already mentioned by other customers, and I confirm it happened to us as well: there is a lack of water in the shower in the evening.
Excellent view, experience, and service.
1)Large reception rooms with open fires and sofas. 2) Spa, outdoor hot tub and swimming pool indoors. 3) Free shuttle bus to Courmayeur. 1) No hot water in the evenings when everyone was getting ready for dinner. 2) Rooms were very small and the beds were smaller than normal and had a hard matress. 3) Menu did not cater for children or vegetarians. 4) Slightly chaotic service and no anticipation of need even when staying a week.
The food was excellent.the views were stunning and the ski slopes were a 12 minute drive.
quality of the restaurant, staf, location, facilities.... etc.
Comfort, wellness, restaurant
The location, room, spa and restaurant were all excellent. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was fantastic - lots of choice of local produce! Everything was very high quality and this hotel is definitely recommended for that touch of luxury.
Exelent service! Kind personal! The hotel is new and cosy!
exceellent staff and location
Everything. I strongly reccomend this hotel to everybody. The best mountain hotel in italy
Staff very helpful excellent service Poor Spa facility extra charge and having to book day before. this not stated on the website or booking .com
Super nice room (mixing wood, stones etc), well located in the small village of La Thuile, free parking at 50m, free shuttle to skilifts. Wellness is small but nice and enough. Restaurant staff (3 out of 4) completely unattentive to guests (barely a hello, no interest to see if need a coffee or whatever, no menu in English and limited ability to translate); food ok but nothing really particular as a 4* should be - full price (we paid 50%) would have been painful - we also had a guest in the next room who left his dog inside and barking the whole day - not the fault of the hotel (more the stupid owner of the dog) however no real intention of the hotel owner to do much about that dog that made very nervous a few guests
All personnel was very kind and the breakfast was outstanding. The manager was inreasonable on a request to move us to a more quiet room after a delivery truck woke us up after the first night at 7am. The hotel was far from full so it was possible for her to change our room. The bed in our room was very hard.
Causy atmosphere, lovely design, attention to detail, personalised service During the first days of our stay the breakfast buffet was poor. Then it was enriched by the day, as more and more tenants arrived at the hotel and it (the hotel) reached acceptable capacity. The TV channels could be enriched with more international channels.
The sound of the river could be heard if a window was opened a little, which was nice. The rooms were very clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. We were disappointed by the lack of balcony in our room. We had a view of a stone wall from a very low window. There was no bath, only shower, which was a little cold. The spa was very minimal and the furniture uncomfortable, and cost 12 euros for the use of the pool. The breakfasts were great, but we were met with stares and comments from other guests who seemed unused to people of other ethnicities (no fault of the hotel, of course). Once, we were locked out of our room.
Beautiful view from the room. Nice continental breakfast. Good front desk reception and service.
The hotel is in a great location with a great view of the nearby mountains. It is a great value for the price. Front desk staff and the owner were very helpful. The waiters in the dining room were not always helpful. This was corrected after one conversation with the hotel staff.
Friendly and efficient
very very good hotel. the staff were very nice and kindly, it was lovely to stay there, i will defently come back next time.
The hotelier was very helpful and gave us advice on our day out to the cable car. The views from our room were spectacular and the hotel was very clean. No
The man at the front desk was great, helped me with everything I needed and was willing to go the extra mile to make sure I was happy.
The service was quite good, hotel staff is very helpful. The room is quite big and clean. It is good value for money.
The owner/manager was very friendly and informative about the area.
Really enjoyed dinner and think that the idea of setting one table for its guest is very clever.Loved the wine and the atmosphere of the place and would like to come back one day.
Very clean and charming. Hotel staff were friendly and helpfull. No
The comfort, clean and view from the room, simpathy from staff.Very good value
Very friendly and helpful staff. Great location to explore the mountains
The views over the mountains were fabulous. The rooms were small and fairly basic but clean and with TVs and ensuites, the breakfast was good as was the evening meal. Overall good value for a family The drinks were fairly expensive with the evening meal.
Amazing location and high quality and ambience of hotel and staff Driving up the mountain to the hotel in fog!
all good nothing bad
Beautiful location, stunning view, problems with heating system at the beginning. Hotel room was not prepared for the guests at the day I arrived
A very coasy hotel having panoramic views of mountains, very friendly and helpful staff. Would recommend to rent a car however public transport stops in front of the hotel.Would certainly visit again this place during winter!
scenery, uniqueness of community, walking
It was a great location for visiting Val d'Aosta. The value for the cost was outstanding. The food was very good at the restaraunt. The staff were very helpful. It is a great place off the beaten path.
Nothing The hotel comes out of another age ! old fashioned, poor beds, dirty carpets, needs urgent and deep renovation. Poor quality of the food and the breakfast. The only + point is the friendly staff ! Certainly no more worth than 1 star !! please check yourself. It was a real disappointment. Luckily it was only for 1 night - yerk
Very friendly, excellent location with outstanding views
The location and the view Everything was OK.
If you want to explore Valle d´Aosta, the location of the hotel is very good. It is easy to find and there is a parking place in front of the hotel. The receptionist was very helpful regarding to places of interest in the area and gave good succestions where to go. Clean room, nice garden. Rooms are a bit outdated. Shower corner was tiny. Breakfast very basic.
The room was quite big and the breakfast buffet too
Proximity to the Gran Paradiso valley and Aosta The room was exremely hot with no air conditioning and it was impossible to have the window open because of the adjacent very busy main road. The corridors were extremely shabby and the decor of the rooms was very untasteful in bright mustard and green. There were no windows in the dining room and the whole experience was unpleasant. It was as though we were staying in a motorway service station. It is difficult to understand why this hotel has been given a 3 star status.
the staff were very helpful, the food was at a very reasonable cost
Excellent friendly staff, clean comfortable accomodation, good food both evening meal and breakfast. Prices reasonable for what we received. Garaged parking available. None
Very nice hotel, helpful staff. There is not too much to do in Aosta, but the hotel provided a good alternative.
Friendly and helpful staff. Excellent evening meal with of local produce / wine. Attention to detail, quality and cleanliness of accommodation.
The family atmosphere of the hotel. The kindness of the staff who were willing to go out of their way to help us. A big TV in each room. The hotel does not have any airconditioning in the rooms. The rooms can be very warm in summer. The hotel is on a busy road and so if you open the windows the rooms will become very noisy
Friendly helpful staff, good location, well maintained. Excllent value for money and great food. None
fantastic location right next to slopes and lifts and gondolas, could ski to door if wanted. The monte bianco appts that we stayed in were the best location overlooking the runs no
Nice flat with plenty of space and good equipment The hotel is too big, we would book a smaller family hotel next time.
Very nice location/surroundings/nature. Very convenient set-up - everything in one place for skiing and apres-ski. Great also for families. Personnel very friendly but not as fluent in English as expected for such a hotel.
The location was excellent. Right at the lifts. With a very nice coffee corner within reach. The hotel is by far not 4 stars, I would say 2 stars max.
Really fantastic location for skiers!!!! Everything just downstairs! The Residence and Hotel were very close to the chairlifts and cable car. The supermarket and some shops were just downstairs. Excellent slope for beginners and playground just downstairs! And everything looks much better than block of flats that you can see in France, although a little bit old inside. It is definitely wonderful place for family with children, esp. if children want to ski. The noise in the early morning due to the grooming equipment being used on the trails could be annoying - of course not for skiers;). During our stay there was no restaurant open but there were some in the town 10 min. walk. Swimming pool and fitness center were a little bit small and old. ** or *** would be enough.
Spacious for a ski resort self catering accommodation. Location - very close to slopes, shops, bars. Noise from guests leaving bar at night.
Getting to the hotel was an adventure by snow cat, amazing position, wonderful skiing straight from the door, nice staff, very unspoilt area and no people, food was good. Their English was poor, Stephano was nice but seemed to think we would know where to meet the snow cat, how to take our skis back to the shop and meet them at the given area etc. We did not feel it was right to be charged for our coffee after dinner and for the snooker, it was an expensive holiday and it left a bad taste in the mouth even though we had a lovely time.
