Pros: Patrick and his wife were such lovely hosts. We felt really comfortable here and the room was in-keeping with the special, historical feel of the whole town. Highly recommend.
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great bed & breakfast in an adorable little fortified medieval village with a castle on top of the hill behind the town. What more do you want? It's just inside one of the city gates, and parking is easy. Very nice host.
Cons: I traveled in October, so the season was over so the tiny little village is very sleepy... and closes down early. Lot's of restaurants and shops in the summer, not so much in October. Not really a criticism, just something to be aware of. If you arrive back after 8 pm after a little adventure out and about, you might find a lot of shuttered doors.

Pros: Charming and attractive room in an unusual setting (the old post office). Warm welcome, attentive and helpful staff. Villefranche itself is small, beautiful, and there is much to do locally on foot.
