Excelent breakfast pleasant helpful staff sea view The mosquito in the bedroom
We really liked the location of the Hotel and the staff were very helpful and attentive. There buffet breakfast was the same each morning. It would be nice if they include eggs (boiled or otherwise and an assortment of breakfast meats.
We liked the central location and the generous breakfast buffet, - but maybe add a couple of sugerfree items (youghurt, juice, cheese). We did not like the fact that the matrass was 2 pieces instead of one big, and also too soft.
Good breakfast. Central location
staff very good. excellent in giving you information about the area where to go and best place to eat ect. also the manager on the first night made us feel like [vips] with a bottel of wine on the house good start to the holiday . very good base in the town right beside the local bus station ,train station , shops and a short walk to the port what more could you want from a great holiday and this great hotel and staff no
The professional hotel staff with the right service attitude really stand out. Very nice and professional. We only have to mention our room number once in the breakfast room, the following three days the staff knew who we were. The champagne greeting was a nice surprise! To sum up - genuine hotel service! We are coming back!
A very clean hotel. We were welcomed with a bottle of prosecco as soon as we entered our room.Very nice gesture.Very central location.
the reception staff was very helpfull.Breakfest was excellent. room was clean. so, what you want more??? no.we were happy.
Good location, helpful staff, cleanliness, good buffet breakfast, spacious rooms. Can't complain about anything. It is the hotel that I would recommend to all for a stay in Trapani
Comfortable well equipped Hotel with a good varied self-service buffet breakfast selection.
The Hotel was very clean close to bars and shops, and the staff was first class.very helpful/very friendly. Apart from above. Going down to the local Bar for Breakfast.
Excellent location, very central to restaraunts, bars, shops. The studio was very clean and spacious & the roof top terrace was fanastic. Receptionist was very helpful. Can't fault Residence La Gancia, will definately return
The staff were extremely helpful and were fantastic helping me with my disabled husband.
Staff were very friendly and helpfull. Hotel is nice and new, roof terrace is very pleasant. Self catering facilities in room/apartment are excellent. If you have the windows open it can be a little noisy at night because of traffic nearby.
Warm welcome hotel is excellent in everyway, well located for shopping eating out a pleasant suprise
It was very close to the places of interest and had beautiful gardens. Service in the resturant was very slow - as a matter of fact, we left and had room service. The food was good.
The Staff were extremely welcoming, friendly and helpful. Rooms fresh and tastefully decorated. We enjoyed the ambience of the hotel's quiet location amongst the saltpans and windmills, with no passing traffic; it being alongside one of Sicily's nature reserves and next door to the very well run museum of salt. Plenty of free private parking. We will be back..... often! The bumpy road with potholes for the last few hundred metres! We visited in low season (an advantage for price & winter sunshine). However we had to go out every evening for meals as during the low season, the hotel restaurant only serves buffet breakfast. Quite understandable but a pain!
Very peaceful and very kind staff. Excellent breakfast Hotel restaurant not functioning whilst there
Unique location in the salt ponds. Well done restoration The restaurant was closed for a wedding reception
I stayed in five hotels during my recent trip to Sicily and Relais Antiche Saline had the friendliest staff and the best breakfast. The hotel is beautiful in a serene setting. I wish they served lunch and dinner but the restaurant just down the road at the Salt Museum was a nice option.
This was my second stay at this hotel and I love the unique location adjacent to the salt marsh and nature preserve near Trapani. The hotel is modern with a beautiful swimming pool and nicely appointed rooms and a friendly and helpful staff. Near the hotel is a terrific restaurant specializing in local cuisine located adjacent to the salt museum. I enjoyed my stay and hope to return again. I had dinner at the hotel restaurant and I thought the prices were high and food not particularly good.
The Relais has a wonderful relaxed atmosphere. It is very comfortable without being ostentacious. Great for a stress free break.
Check-in Staff at the front desk was very helpful in providing information in English and French on the area. Excellent service from the front desk, the cleaning staff, and the night staff when we asked for a late meal. The restaurant and the breakfast are not up to the standards of the hotel. The hotel deserves a better restaurant and the breakfast was poor, even lower than in standard hotels.
Naturskøn beliggenhed og kan bruges som overnatningsmulighed nær Trapini Lufthavn
The location of the hotel is unique. It is right in the middle of the salt flats and given the right room, (which we were given one on the first floor) provided stunning view of the salf flats both during the morning and at sun set. A great place for photographers. High cost of the dinners at the hotel restaurant
Relaxing environment, cleanliness of hotel. Staff were generally very friendly. Good breakfast. Not a great selection in the restaurant, esp if you don't eat fish. Pool was not filled.
The character of the building was such that you felt privilaged to be able to wander from room to room taking in the atmosphere of life in an Italian country house in the middle of a vinyard. The wine tasting was designed to make you feel special. The views, staff, food and wine were as near perfect as they could be. There was never even a hint of something being improved upon. The whole experience could be bottled and sold as the 'perfect' relaxing break. However, whilst some staff went that extra mile and were passionate some 'smaller' people probably resented going from late to early shift, and were less that at their best. The food and wine was excellent but probably didn't need to be so expensive. The choice of food was limited if you stayed more than a few days. With a little effort this could be paradise.
Hotel facilities were great and the staff was very friendly A little difficult to find.
We enjoyed the high standard of the accommodation and the extras provided, such as the free water provided daily We found the restaurant prices high compared with other comparable hotels in Sicily. We found the reception staff quite distant and not very friendly.
most of the staff were very friendly ..very professional which was great yet they opened up and laughed with us when we asked them questions...made us feel pampered but at home at the same time which is a rare quality! The setting of hotel, view etc, pool, courtyard at night where we dined was just exquisite, relaxing, elegant..bliss. Had small baby, was no problem. not ideal for young kids, quiet Food was nice but could be tiny bit better as in more authentic, as in fresh pasta was rare. An English/Irish Paper would have been nice in lobby. Still I would go back tomorrow! Remote, on a hill. Ideal for relaxation..loved it
excellent facilities, staff, maintenance - great value - will stay more than one night the next time in western Sicily. Bit difficult to find.
very luxuery, near the airport (Trapani, 10 min)
The Western part of Sicily is beautiful. So the location of the hotel is anyway right. But located on a hill, this well reconstructed old winefarm and winery is à perfect place to stay for a week or more. The hospitality makes that you on every end of the day feel like driving home. And you can visit a lot of beautiful places on a distance between 40 and 100 km!
Everything was fantastic and surpassed expectations. The hotel had a great atmosphere and the staff were very efficient and friendly. The food was excellent and the setting was perfect, beautiful. The lady at the reception was a little bit snooty - this let down the hotel a bit - especially as the person who greets you at the begining.
The room was very comfortable. The location is perfect for taking the flight from Trapani Birgi airport, around 10 minutes drive. It is however quite far both from Trapani and Marsala, probably impossible to get there without having own car.
in the city centre room was a disgrace carpet dirty window shattered broken would not close
Breakfast was great, but keep the tea coming
The central location and good value The hotel is not a character hotel but a modern functional hotel which was our choice
The central location
Proximity to train station. Close to buses to Erice funivia. 15 minute walk to port and to Trapani historic center. Lack of internet (other than in rooms, where laptop is needed)
Nice big room with big bathroom Wi Fi for extra charge only. 18 Eur for one day or smth.Internet must be free.
Very god value for money, very courteus staff.Hotel conveniently located
Convenience of location, lovely breakfast and friendly staff. No
The beds were very comfortable and staff were very helpful and courteous Neither the Bar nor restaurant were open on the day of our visit.
friendly staff, near airport, right across road from train station, 10 minute walk to port - would stay here again
Room ok, not worth 4 stars, too expensive. Location in an industrial area, at night deserted place. Taxi
The staff were very nice, friendly & helpfull which makes so much difference, we were even a bit late for breakfast on our last day and we were still able to have something. The room was very clean & the bed was wonderfull, would definatly reccomend it!
no, maybe a littel more english speek.
Not so far from the center. Walking distance. Easy to park your car. Good breakfast. Staff a little cold. Noisy from the streets around.
Rooms are new, clean and large. Parking available inside the hotel.
Friendly and closeness to the town
We chose Tiziano because of its location near Boat Service Trapani where we were overseeing the relaunch of our yacht. It is a fair walk from the town centre but car parking is easy and free. With a car its only a few minutes to the centre.
The hotel is just 3 months old so very new and modern. The rooms are very spacious. There is no easy access to beach from this hotel and there is no swimming pool.
very confortable room, the hotel is very close to the harbour.
Very nice buffet breakfast in its contemporary cafe. Not the nicest of neighbourhoods but a lovely hotel
Lovely hotel. Probably need a Sat Nav to find it easily but it wouldn't be 100% necessary Nothing
quiet hotel with a good family like atmosphere Bathroom facilities - room 8
The staff were friendly and did their best to help us The noise from the street was so bad it was not possible to sit in the room without keeping the windows closed
The room was clean Staff were a little off. We had a bottle of wine and they would not supply wine glasses only plastic cups.
Great location, very nice specious room and friendly helpful staff.
Everything....the room for it's size, air conditioning, cooking facilities, location and friendly service
Really nice room Not very helpful staff, very basic breakfast
The location of the hotel being within a quaint narrow street was the best aspect of the hotel. A welcome by a rather tired and fed up looking man. Several lights were not working in my room including bathroom. Toilet cystern was broken, not filing up and making a loud hissing noise so I had to use the toilet brush to stop it from trying to fill -at 2.30am. Disaster at breakfast. Staff may have been new as they did not seem to know what to do or what was happening. The breakfast table was very slow to be laid. Only 3 cereal bowls provided. No milk. When I asked for a cereal bowl I had to leave before it arrived. There was terential rain which was coming down the walls and spraying onto the food table. I had to move the floor lights, electricals and food as the staff were in the kitchen. No tea/coffee making facilities. Had to wait.
Everything was well in this residence. Most of all its staff was verry helpfull and well speak in english, Room was good for that sort of money. Good location for all kind of transport, shops, city centre, restorants..... Brekfast was verry poor and every day was same brekfast
This is a friendly family-run place, clean, central and well laid out, with nice decor. Ideal for a short stopover in Trapani.
The food is fantastic and the rooms are well furnished and clean. Staff is excellent. Would surely recommend.
Everything was perfect. Nothing.
Air conditioning quiet Lack of personal space late book in ata
whatever we asked for was given and staff was gentle. in fact we booked another night to stay.
Very kind reception by serviceminded people with a high ambition to take care of us. Dinner in the hotels own restaurant was very well prepared and followed by a very good local wine. The winelist included a good selection of Italian mainland wines.
I realy enjoyed! Excellent hotel and value for money, friendly staff, nice breakfast If You arrive by car, it is better to call hotel before to clarify address and driving directions. Address mentioned in web page does not match with real address as street has given new name. Staff will provide You perfect information.
The staff were so helpful and friendly
Good bed, comfortable clean room. Slightly disappointed by the quality of the dinner served in the restaurant. We wanted to stay here on our last night of our trip just like we did on the first night; we were assured that booking up front would not be necessary to get a room, but unfortunately when we called them to make the reservation it was made clear (in a less friendly way) that there was no room available, which was a disappointment.
On the edge of Trapani, this hotel is perfectly placed to arrive at in the evening after a day's sightseeing or business, and for a quick dash to the airport in the early morning. It has been cleverly converted from a 19th century stables into a modern, single storey, airy and friendly B & B with a good restaurant attached. Free wi-fi in the room is very welcome. Excellent value overall. Tea and coffee at breakfast were in flasks, and were lukewarm.
It was a nice modern hotel with comfortable beds and nice clean bathroom.Staff were friendly and helpful. We were disappointed with the food served in the restaurant.I gave a list of foods I am highly allergic to written in Italian nuts being one of these and my meal came out with pistacchio nuts sprinkled on it so I could not eat it.Food was expensive and highly average.
Location. Excellent cuisine and wait staff, especially Carmela and Alexandra. Comfortable and spacious room. Carlo very helpful with luiggage and parking.
Charming staff, excellent location and unurried comfort.
Nice location Person who took our check in seemed listless and did not bother to show us anything about how to handle various aspects of the room (i.e. controls for heat, cooling, etc.0
A very cosy welcoming place perfectly located in the middle of this beautiful medieval small town
A bit pricey, but very nice rooms, clean, very good location. Breakfast - only cold dishes - "ÿou get what you see".
Attractive and comfortable room, with good bathroom facilities. The room heating was inadequate (it was a very cold night).
The hotel was in a good location to see erice. The staff was not helpful and the sheets on the bed were damp.
Sitting by the fire place when the fog rolls in. We were there in March - way off season.
Low season. They hard hard to smile in the hotel.
Spectacular location.Staff made every effort to meet guest requirements.Erice well worth inclusion on self organised tour. Good food presented in an attracive manner. Good homely hotel. Weather. Cost of taxis to location.
The food they served up at night was so so good. The pool was lovely and relaxing. The rooms were great as they offered up exactly what we were looking for and more. The location to Trapani and the airport was ideal. If you are looking for an agritourismo with great value you can't go much wrong with this place.
Very relaxing, excellent food, friendly helpfull staff. Own car essential
This place was really a pleasant surprise. The staff was wonderful and made us feel at home. It is a great family vacation spot. The optional evening meal was exceptional. We would definitely go there again if we are in Sicily.
Nice country setting near the city. Pool, own room with kitchen The farm animals (roosters) were noisy.
It was a wonderful relaxing stay. Grounds and setting are absolutely beautiful. The pool is fantastic. Loved the eating arrangements in the evening of putting all the guests together on one long table - very traditional and certainly made for interesting conversations. The whole experience of staying here was brilliant and will certainly do it again. Dont expect 5* luxury - if anything, that would detract from the charm of the place. The room was spotlessly clean, and loved the buffet breakfast (especially eaten outside in the courtyard).
Very nice place. Athentic. Staff makes you feel very welcome. Dinner at long table with all te geustes, with excellent food! Rooms are spacious, good airco. Love the donkeys and the poolside bar. Don't frget to bring mosquito repellent.
Everything They really must improve sign posting from the autostrada. It is almost impossible to find. They should also make it clear that the hotel is best reached from the autostrada.
Nice location and good service, property is clean and done up well It was noisy in the room due to noisy plumbing and the dogs on the property barking
Rustic setting but with all the necessary creature comforts. The joint dinners are a nice feature, and I recommend them.
Lovely pool, nice food, friendly staff. We had a very relaxing stay, no hassles. This is a rustic hotel with a very warm familial atmosphere. Owners and staff were very helpful. There was no shop to buy food and the small poolside bar did not stock that much. Realistically, the nearest shop is not within walking distance. However if one came prepared it would be perfect!!
the food disgracefullfor a 4* hotel waiting for barstaff up to 30 mins as they noone behind bar
staff was wonderful. it was most helpful that the staff spoke a few languages as it was full of international guests a little bit more information - restaurant times, pool services, beach services would have been nice on a card or paper rather than having to ask
Beautiful scienery and restaurants were superb. Hotel is in a great location. A bit quiet, although the staff are friendly.
Great beach, very clean hotel. Need a car to get around, but if you have one there is lots ot see and do in the area. Very little english spoken by the hotel staff made some things difficult. Very little information about things to so, we wanted to hire a boat for a day but could not find any information either at the hotel or in the town.
Cleanliness of hotel. Location to beach. Lack of restaurants nearby. A car is essential for your stay here
staff very nice Breakfast minimum and hard/hard bed...and we like firm beds
Fabulous location, very friendly staff No evening meal available in mid Sept. and we chose it because people raved about the food
The evening meal is a feast! It is so good and an amazing value for the money spent! Highly recommended! WIFI internet didn't work in the room, but it worked around the reception desk.
Great situation in old convent. Spacious rooms, feather duvets, good heating.Breakfast was good.
The building was lovely, an old monastery very simply decorated but a very tranquil place to stay.
the quietness the room was too narrow, the bed too hard
It is a really impressive monastery building perfectly renovated. The room was very spacious and comfortable. The view from our room was excellent. The atmospere of the place is really special. Everything was perfect.
Staff friendly.Efficient check in/out.Location superb.Buffet breakfast fine.Quiet and secure environment. No problem with parking in winter but may be a different issue in summer. Best food in Erice was in PentoLaccia. Try Cannoli in main street cake shop. Visit i Bucanieri in Marsala, by far best restaurant in area ....try bucanieri 11 (Pesce Misto) and Angus steak..............fantastic................ Florio winery a few doors away has excellent wines... try Passo delle Mule...........a red wine excellent with fish!. Garabaldi in old town also vg unlike Venus restaurant which was awful even though more expensive. Enjoy Erice............................ WIFI only works beside reception not in rooms....poor advertising....not a large cost to fix , surprising after all previous comments!!!. Time also to modernize bathroom and plumbing ,,,,,,,more modern shower and extractor fan required which was weak and not efficient and very noisy as was toilet flush.
Unique experience. Very quiet and peaceful, original unmolestered historic monetry, good for couples wanting access to the wonderful hill top village of Erice, or a fun place to take the kids (to tell them ghost stories about headless Monks !! All in all memorable, thank you bookings.com and Il Carmine/ No
Staff members were very gfriendly and the location of the hotel is very good.
Everything. A lovely hotel. Unique design, great food, super staff, immaculate rooms. No
Very stylish, well designed hotel A bit hard to get to
we enjoyed the original setting and contemporary fittings. The bicycle rides were the highlight, also the small boat that the hotel organized for circumnavigating the island was fantastic. The food was good, a bit more sophisticated than in town, but the local traditional is so good, why change it? while very original, the sleek lines and quarry walls don't make a very cozy atmosphere, but it is still the best on offer on the island. If you don't speak italian, communicating with the hotel is difficult. I didn't appreciate the 5 euro/day charge for the bicycles, its not much but it was a surprise.
The uniqueness of the experience; the location, the staff and the value for money Tiny little flies all over the place including in the bedroom.
Modern and different. Friendly staff and open to suggestions. The hydrotherapy pools are a nice touch! Unavailability of food and drink throughout the day, and only a full-on 5-course dinner menu with no choice (but this may be due to the season just starting right now) and pre-booking. The hotel needs its own little car/bus for transporting people to the town and back, rather than having to pay Euro 12 each way.
