Pros: From the very start we felt at home. The property is excellent and very comfortable for families with children and the owners do everything to make your stay perfect. I would definitely recommend.
Pros: Wonderful location and facilities, nice staff, beautiful pool and close to many beautiful towns of Val di Noto - would definitely recommend!
Pros: Loved the sicilian property in the middle of nowhere (LITERALLY) of Sicillan farmland
Cons: The trip was too short.
Pros: Clean rooms, very friendly staff, delicious dinner (good value)
Pros: Nothing to complain about.. This place is beautiful especially the pool ... will definitely go again.
Pros: This is probably the nicest agriturismo we've ever stayed in. The place is tucked away in the countryside, surrounded only by nature. It is spread over a large footprint, with beautiful and spacious rooms, and a fantastic swimming pool. Ample parking facilities are also available on site. Food is excellent, and one risks putting on weight if you had to stay for a couple of days, since the portions are very generous!

Pros: Easy to find. New. Facility. Quiet. Owner very responsive.
Cons: Didn't mind walk several hundred meters to nice included breakfast. But if we had bad weather would have been different
Pros: Convient parking nearby and spacious room.
Cons: There was no lift facility, but staff helped out with the luggages.
Pros: Clean modern apartment with good facilities.
Pros: Breakfast was Ok, the location was perfect.
Cons: No complaints
Pros: Very good place for exploring the town
Cons: Bed and especially pillows could do better

There are 8 rooms, tastefully decorated with the owners’ personal antiques including furniture, terracotta pottery, and tools. The floors are made of Sicilian terracotta tiles and the roofs are framed with traditional wood beams. Each room is fully equipped with TV, mini bar, telephone, heating and a modern bathroom. Outside a big terrace is fully furnished so that guests may relax outside in privacy. Services at disposal of the guests: •Every morning a healthy and rich breakfast with natural ingredients and food of the best quality is served in the breakfast room or in the garden. •swimming pool •bar •big parking space •gardens •a common room where reading material (guide books, pamphlets information, leaflets and local maps) is available •traditional local products available to sample and purchase. Farm produce: extra virgin olive oil, olives, walnuts, jams, handmade soap •our boat with skipper at Ognina Marina •laundry & iron service
Pros: Daniela and her husband were very friendly. They gave us a lot of recommendations for visits around Palazzolo Acreide. Their tips and hints were really useful especially for restaurants and beaches. They create a great atmosphere for their hosts. The breakfast was superb with home-made cakes and a great variety of cheeses and pastries. The garden was beautiful.
Cons: The room was a bit dark but it was comfortable and clean.
With a stay at Casale Bibbinello in Palazzolo Acreide, you'll be within a 10-minute drive of Akrai Archaeological Park and Akrai Greek Theatre. Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, luggage storage, and laundry facilities. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Everything was excellent
Cons: WiFi signal was poor, but I didn't mind
Pros: The location is good, overlooking a beautiful valley and not far from a charming small town with (at least) one good restaurant, where we ate both evenings. The breakfasts were very good, prepared and served by lovely Ilenia, who is the only real presence in the place, the owner being mostly absent.
Cons: Although he house has real charm, its structure and its facilities are not being kept up to a standard needed to host paying guests. The upper terrace, from which the view over the valley is supposedly magnificent, was not accessible because of works. The garden is overgrown, the small swimming pool neglected. Some fixtures in the bathroom were broken, the availability of hot water was unreliable. It felt like being in a place about to be refurbished, but without evidence that this was really in progress.
Pros: Casale Bibbinello is a magical place to stay. Beautiful rooms and a good breakfast. Very warm welcome and lovely people hosting us. Casale Bibbinello is a fantastic starting point to discover the south east of Sicily!
Cons: This place needs some grooming. There were many bugs in our room, weeds overgrowth, and hardly anyone was ever around. Breakfast felt rushed. It could be a nice place if they took better care of it.
Pros: The entrance to the estate is marvelous, as is the outside view of the building.
Cons: Unfortunately the swimming pool was not clean and available for a swim and the beds were quite hard.
Pros: Casale Bibinello is truly an exceptional and unique place. This 19th century Neo-Venetian style red-coloured Casale of the baron Vincenzo Messina, lies beautifully situated at the end of a long straight dirt road and overlooks from the back the Anapo River valley. The room we stayed in was simply furnished with a door giving access to terrace and small swimming pool. Breakfast was served on the first floor on a balcony overlooking the valley - we could see miles around over a gorgeous landscape, enjoying our coffee in an utterly quiet surrounding! And breakfast was excellent. Should it be said that personnel was very kind, helpful and respectful? We travelled a lot but rarely stayed in a place which combines so nicely, the Sicilian culture, landscape and hospitality!
With a stay at Feudo Bauly in Noto, you'll be within a 10-minute drive of Akrai Archaeological Park and Antonino Uccello House-Museum. Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, a 24-hour front desk, and luggage storage. Planning an event in Noto? This hotel has facilities measuring 1615 square feet (150 square meters), including conference space. A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge (available 24 hours), and free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Beautiful place with very friendly staff and a wonderful pool overlooking the Sicilian countryside.
Pros: Great location, pleasant surroundings and architecture
Cons: Breakfast - Water dispensed in ultra small PLASTIC cups. You have to ask for every sip of water. Surprising in 4* place on a hot summer day. Not enough cereal bowls and they wash it in front of you. Personnel - unattending. Pity the great atmosphere was spoiled by such small things.
Pros: It was a very rustic hotel, quiet and very rural. It was in very pretty grounds. Very basic rooms.
Cons: We had to wait ages to get a drink at the pool bar, and when we arrived there was no-one to greet us, or a sign to point us in the right direction.
Pros: We had a vegetarian lunch, dinner and breakfast. All were excellent. Although the weather was poor during our stay, we found Feudo Bauly to be a very high standard, welcoming and romantic, and we enjoyed our walk in the ancient woods attached to the hotel.
Cons: Instructions for using the heater remote control perhaps
Pros: Perfect place, nice rooms, food and great staff
Pros: Friendly staff nice rustic food
Pros: We loved the rural setting and the ancient farm buildings, beautifully converted. Our room was huge and comfy - a barn of a room with a big bed and lovely linen. Staff were polite and helpful at all times. The food in the restaurant as delicious, beautifully and affordable. Nearby are the wonderful Pantellica gorge and the town of Pallazolo. Noto is also not far. We had a lovely stay.
With a stay at this apartment in Palazzolo Acreide, you'll be within a 15-minute walk of Akrai Archaeological Park and San Sebastiano Basilica. Featured amenities include a 24-hour front desk and an elevator.
Pros: I loved everything. I was there to work on the local traditional festival and Massimo (the owner) was lovely and extremely helpful giving me information regarding the festival and the history of the village. He came to pick me up at the bus station and was speedy with our communication. The structure is a refurbished villa, beautiful and clean. The mini apartment is very spacious, perfect for two people with brand new furniture and stunning wall decor by a local photographer. I forgot..It's also perfectly located at the centre of the village, but in a courtyard, so protected from the street. WIFI was working well! I would definitely recommend it to anyone.
Cons: None! Everything was great!
Pros: Excellent location. Lovely clean rooms. Friendly and helpful staff
Pros: Nice spacious appartment, location, easiness of checking in and out. Minimal contact with staff but very friendly.
Cons: Four night stay but towels were not changed at all. Rubbish bins not emptied at all. Ironing board but no iron.
When you stay at Agriturismo Borgo degli Ulivi in Palazzolo Acreide, you'll be 8 minutes by car from Anapo Valley. Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, a 24-hour front desk, and luggage storage. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: the best accommodation during the trip. charming, quiet place. you can relax from the cities
Pros: Host called us in the affternoon if we want to have dinner, when we arrive in evening. The very good dinner was served, for very normal price.
Cons: Road to the location was limited on one direction. There is no bridge from direction of Canicattini Bagni. So you can not drive directly as Google and Garmin suggest. Host called us and explain how to come to the location.
Pros: Spacious apartment, clean and has basic amenties. Lovely surroundings, with turf terrace in front of apartment to allow kids to play and loads of mature olive trees. Food was delicious and very generous. It was also very well priced. The owners were very accomodating, lent toys to our kids to play with, suggested child friendly places to visit and are a lovely couple. There is also a big pool which is very well maintained.
Cons: The only negative was a wedding on one of the nights which was Extremely Loud and kept going till almost 3AM. Room offered no sound proofing whatsoever.
Pros: Borgo degli Ulivi is surrounded in acres of olive trees. Once you get there, you will immediately sense the tranquility of this beautiful place in southern Sicily. Bright green turf can be seen all over the lands and right in the middle of it, you will find a 20-metre gorgeous pool! The rooms have all the facilities you need - a kitchenette, fridge, pots and pans, TV and AC! You can also buy amazing olive oil and some of Sicily's greatest wines! Giuseppe is a great host and will help you in any way possible! He also provided cots for our kids - which was perfect for our stay! It is a very child-friendly place too!
Cons: - The place is secluded - the nearest village is 20mins away - which is a good thing if you need to relax by the pool and hear nothing but birds chirping :) - The road from the south is under construction so you need to arrive from the north - thankfully, Giuseppe advised us beforehand about this so we had no trouble arriving there!
Pros: Great location in a quiet rural area with well kept grounds and a large pool area.
Cons: Rooms are in rustic style in character with the area although both the kitchenette and bathroom could really do with an upgrade. It was noted that wifi is available in the reception area, so no complaint on this. It would be useful to have wifi in the rooms too for the comfort of guests. Dinner was quite ok given the price. Recommended if guests could be shown the dinner menu in the morning before deciding if to opt for dinner, or at least the serving staff could explain what food is being served when the food is placed at the table. There are some delightful local osterie in nearby local villages.
Pros: The best place to get away from the usual hectic life. Nice & comfortable place, clean, good breakfast and one can relax by the pool.
Cons: Breakfast was available from 8:30 and so we started touring at 9, while we usually leave at 8 but we adjusted to their time. Otherwise breakfast was served in a nice outdoor area and was excellent.
Pros: It is set in beautiful grounds which are very well kept. The swimming pool is lovely. The owner and staff were all very courteous and helpful. Breakfast and dinner were very good and we were well catered for as coeliacs throughout. It is very family friendly and 6 and 3 yr old had a whale of a time exploring while we felt safe to let them roam around. Would gladly return.
Cons: Nothing much not to like but if we had to nitpick... the apartment could do with some renovation eg some mosquito nets were torn...showerhead sprays water all over the place..shower door a bit jammed. It had an a.c. but it was way too small to cool the apartment effectively...luckily it's not too hot with windows open at night. There's only a stovetop, no oven so maybe a microwave would have been helpful. The nearest village is around 20mins drive away...which can be good coz it is very peaceful but with 3 little children it was a bit of a nuisance...but that's just something to be aware of.
Pros: Very nice and quiet
Cons: I asked for wheelchair access they told me ok settled but not wheelchair access dinner poor
Pros: Beautiful and quiet property, picturesque surroundings and lovely dogs. The studio was well equipped with everything you need for your stay. Everything was very clean and well maintained. The dinner was nice, typical Sicilian cuisine. I would definitely stay there again.
Featuring free WiFi throughout the property, La Rosa offers pet-friendly accommodation in Palazzolo Acreide. Enjoy a cup of coffee while looking out at the mountain or city. Siracusa and Ragusa are both 42 km from La Rosa. Both Catania and Comiso airports can be reached by car in 1 hour.
Pros: Comfortable, excellent location, very well provisioned, very helpful and friendly proprietor
Pros: The apartment is well furnished, and in a good location in easy walking distance to the center. Marco, the host, was quite responsive and pleasant to interact with.
Cons: It might be a problem with visiting here so early in the season, but it was quite cold in the room for much of our stay. There is a small portable space heater, but it really isn’t powerful enough to heat the apartment. We spent much of our time in the apartment huddled under the blankets.
Pros: Location, good design, bedroom comfort, charm of owner and wife.
Pros: The owner greeted us and was friendly and informative. The apartment is nicely decorated. We enjoyed the town with its churches and charm and view of Mount Etna from the small bedroom window.
Cons: This is the first apartment that did not offer a set of towels for each person-and I have travelled very much throughout Europe since the 70s!
Pros: The owner was very welcoming and helpful even before our arrival to Palazzolo. The property itself was very clean and had all the necessary facilities. It is part of a group of properties and restaurants which recommend each other and thus offer discounts. The view from the location was also very nice. It was at a walking distance from Piazza San Paolo, where the main event for the weekend was taking place. A small grocery shop was also very close so there was no problem for bread, groceries etc. The locals were also very helpful, polite and welcoming for the whole stay. Nearby restaurants are also very good and gave us an amazing taste of local traditional food, including the breakfast croissants provided by the property. We definitely highly recommend.
Cons: The public transport to Palazzolo was not very good but with help from the property owner we still managed to find a way round it.
With a stay at Agriturismo Giannavì in Palazzolo Acreide, you'll be within a 10-minute drive of Akrai Archaeological Park and San Paolo Basilica. A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge (available 24 hours), and free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Amazing food and super nice and friendly people.
Pros: Nice location and agriturismo
Cons: We were asked whether we would like to book dinner at the premises on our arrival, an offer which we accepted especially since this agriturismo is quite distant from any other restaurant. At dinner we discovered that the same facility was also hosting a wedding reception. As the only guests at the hotel we were constantly ignored by the restaurant staff. It took us ages to order and get served. When we finally did get served the meat was overcooked and the plates not according to the description on the menu. The food was overpriced. To boot we had to endure angry stares from the bride who must have thought that we were gatecrashing her party.
Pros: We picked Agriturismo Giannavi as a place to stay overnight on a busy round Sicily car trip because it was en route , and because it seemed to be a relaxing kind of place. It also had its own restaurant, saving us the trouble of searching for somewhere to eat in the limited time we had. When we got lost, ,looking for it (GPS user problem) , Amadeo actually left home to find us near a supermarket and piloted us in to his place. What a wonderful fellow. He was cheerful, too. The residence is out of town and a great place to relax. It can accommodate large numbers on a very large terrace with great views over the valley, and is very rustic. The room we had was excellent. Very comfortable, very quiet, very clean.
Cons: We could have had a better GPS! We didn't use wifi there, so cannot comment ion that.
Pros: lovely location, but hard to access. nice tour of cheese and sausage making. Amodeo good fellow, caring about our health but very poor on maintenance.
Cons: Hard to find coming from south. Roof leaked. Shower dirty. Toilet cistern not functioning. Toilet seat broken. Door jammed - safety issue.
Pros: Everything: quiet and idyllic settings, big rooms, hospitable staff, good food and ample parking.
Cons: Nothing comes to mind...our stay was regrettably too short - just one night to notice the wrong things about it!
A stay at I Dammusi places you in the heart of Palazzolo Acreide, within a 15-minute walk of Akrai Archaeological Park and Antonino Uccello House-Museum. A roundtrip airport shuttle is available for a surcharge.
Pros: The hosts, Marco & Giovanna were so gracious and helpful. I was on a search for family and ancestors and they were able to introduce me to several people to help. The room was wonderful- so well put together from Giovanna’s sense of design. Very comfortable. Highly recommend for location as well, just off the Piazza Del Popolo , easy walking to all the restaurants and sites in this beautiful baroque city
With a stay at Dimora delle Balze in Noto, you'll be within a 15-minute drive of Akrai Archaeological Park and Cavagrande del Cassibile Nature Reserve. Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services and luggage storage. A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge (available 24 hours), and free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: This is my first comment althogh I have been travelled a lot with booking.com app. I think this hotel needs a proper and fair review. Little bit background of myself, I’m a interior designer and of course I found this beautiful location through the designer who design the space and also read through it on the Italian Version AD magazine 2017 September Issue. First of all, you have to understand it is a nice boutique hotel and it is not a standard boutique hotel. It is more like family run and very down to earth Sicilian people run hotel. It was designed for the owner’s birthday and soon all her friends are asking about the possibility to open the space as a hotel. Thus the space is beautifully designed. Secondly, they have 12 rooms and each room is slightly different. If you are looking for the 5 star hotel very detailed service and this is not the space for you. But if you enjoy nature, space, design, and very Sicilian Noto culture, go there, you won’t get disappointed. Thirdly, it is perfect for family and I could totally imagine my parents, my families live in here for a week and just do the tour around. All and all it is a wonderful space.
Cons: It is better you drive by yourself since it is 20 minutes drive to Noto, 30 minutes drive to Siracusa.
Pros: Stylish hotel and extremely friendly staff and the epitome of a boutique hotel.
Cons: No negatives at all
Pros: Good view, nice design
Cons: Unkind and unprofessional staff, bad breakfast (long-life milk and the worst scrambled eggs I’ve ever eaten), very cold pool water.
Pros: Very stylish
Cons: The menu was a little limited after a few days
Pros: Beautifully peaceful, amazing service, ideal location for a couple.
Pros: It’s an ensemble of perfection
Pros: It is incredibly beautiful
Cons: We were excited to stay at Dimora delle Balze – looking at the photos, who wouldn’t be? On arrival, the first sign of concern came early – a welcome party of I think 5 staff met us at the car park, but didn’t offer help with our luggage – including the large suitcase of one heavily pregnant. Multiple smaller issues gave us the impression staff lacked direction and management, and it felt as though as guests we were more an inconvenience than welcome. It was high summer, and the air conditioning in both our rooms didn’t work. We made the staff aware. The owner, Elena, offered us supper as a gesture of goodwill, and recommended we ordered the catch of the day (langoustines). 3 of us ordered them, and ten minutes later we were told they only had enough for 2 portions, so one of us changed his order. Other small issues arose in the meal – the wine we ordered wasn’t available, we were served eventually warm white wine in dirty glasses, and then our main course came – the two portions of langoustines were barely enough for one person, and were small specimens. Even this didn’t grate too much – until the owner, who was hosting her own meal at the adjacent table, received herself and for all her guests huge plates groaning with huge langoustines. She came over to ask how our meal was, and we explained we were offended they had underfed us to feed herself, and would leave after the first night. She was, to her credit, upset we were unhappy. She said it was up to us if we wanted to leave, but if we chose to stay we would have her personal guarantee the air conditioning fixed for the remaining 2 nights of our stay. In the morning we accepted her guarantee and decided to stay, explicitly stating we would stay only subject to her guarantee. The second night we were told the air con was fixed – it wasn’t, and after a little discussion our hosts accepted it wasn’t working, but promised it would be fixed the next.

Siracusa is 42 km from Akrai Agorà, while Ragusa is 37 km from the property. The nearest airport is Comiso Airport, 47 km from the accommodation.
Pros: it is sort of ok - A bit overpriced when compared to other accommodations in Sicily.
Cons: It was cold, the heating system is inappropriate
Pros: Excellent property right at the center of the town. Very clean! Lovely location, too. Owners were very kind making sure that everything was perfect.
Cons: Coffee and milk in kitchen

The rooms have a private bathroom with a shower and bidet, with free toiletries provided. Il Vulcano B&B features free WiFi throughout the property. Pros: Excellent location of the house, beautiful city, very hospitable owner, beautiful and comfortable home
Cons: everything was great!
Pros: Location, views, Marco (fantastic host), breakfast (from the best cafe) Palazzolo Arcidaie is THE hidden gem of Sicily and if you pick the right week the town is buzzing. Don’t forget that the great beaches of Lido di Noto, Avolo and Eloro are only 45 minutes away. PS it’s called Vulcano because you can see Etna fro the kitchen
Cons: Nothing but the shower could be too hot for small children and parking for larger vehicles is challenging (but free) - we have a Discovery and managed
