Gaia and family and extrordinary. The building was clean and well kept. Close to tower etc. Great friendly dog! Only bummer was the loud road noise due to location, and then no breakfast provided, but we loved the place and people. Just take your ear plugs and some coffee to prepare yourself in the nice clean kitchen!!!
The landlady was extremely friendly and helpful, and the room clean and very stylish. I would highly recommend this for anyone staying for a few days in Pisa looking for a small, family-run place to stay.
The location to the city center. Hotel is very clean. There is no charm to the facility. Towels are terrible and amenities are scarce. Location to the train station is not walking distance and there are few sidewalks between the train station and the hotel. Limited hours for check-in are very restrictive. No phone in room.
We had a large comfortable room with a fridge. The B&B is in a safe area just outide the walls and a short stroll to the centre. There is an excellent, good value restaurant / pizzeria just around the corner and a supermarket nearby. The owners were very helpful. No complaints whatsoever.
friendly staff, distance to the city
The staff at this hotel were the most helpful I have ever experienced. They love their city of Lucca and want to share it with their guests. The breakfast was good. The room was comfortable, clean and quiet. The location was excellent- 5 minute walk to the gates and main street of Lucca. I would highly recommend this hotel.
Good location, outside the city walls but only 10 minutes walk away. Really comfortable and clean rooms. Very helpful owners.
The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and it was tastefully decorated. Had a difficult time looking for the location of the hotel as we arrived late at night. We had no cell phone so we had a problem to contact the staff regarding the keys to get inside.
Good sized room comfortable room, great breakfast in a really nicely laid out room. One of the best and most helpful welcomes we have ever had in Italy. This is a hotel where they really do try (successfully) to make your stay comfortable! The location is a good 10 mins walk from the "start" of the city centre (not a problem if fit) and the rather poor sound proofing between rooms - neither of which may bother most people.
Staff were extremely helpful.
The proprietors, Daniele and Gabriele, are professional, generous, and eager to do anything and everything to make a guest feel comfortable and at home. From providing routing and dining advice, to making me feel comfortable operating the professional espresso machine in the breakfast room, the "you're in good hands" expression would apply. The room was totally comfortable and livable, the bathroom clean - and there was free parking, which for Lucca is a real boon. The location is convenient to the city, if just outside the south wall -- this worked well for us. The immediate neighborhood of the B&B was not luxurious but it was quite safe and easy to negotiate.
The room was large (the bathroom also) and clean. The breakfast was simple, but all right. The owner was professional and very helpful.
Very friendly and warm welcome, owner is extremely helpful in every way.
The manager, Luca, is very hospitable and extremely helpful. It is worth visiting for him alone. You really feel welcome.
The B&B is newly renovated with new tiled floors throughout, rooms are spacious and the lcoation is perfect for exploring Lucca They could improve the WiFi network.
Owner friendly and charming. Excellent breakfast.
Room and bathroom were very modern and clean. Breakfast was excellent for English and local guests. Luca, the owner, was very friendly and helpful. One of the best and cheapest hotels/B&B's I've stayed in. I would definitely recommend this B&B and would stay here again!!
It was very clean and I found the staff multilingual, very friendly and helpful. The heating did not work, so they gave me another room, which was fine.
The design of the hotel was a medieval age design and was so nice. The room was clean. The staff was not good at english but they were kind and helpful. The location is in the middle of the train station and Pisa tower. You can walk anywhere in Pisa. The bathroom was very small but it was clean.
Lovely comfortable large rooms with antique furniture. Great location - in the centre of everything and right on one of the busiest shopping streets. As the hotel is located on a main shopping street - the noise of an evening / night can keep you awake at night if you have a room which looks directly onto the street.
breakfast at their porch. far away from the city center. there is only few buses available. once 2 hours! the hotel locates at the heavy traffic intercention and it is very noisy. even closing the window, you can hear the noice during the night.
Large room with air con, well fitted bathroom, friendly owner.
localisation nearby Lucca a main street noisy just behind windows, breakfast too late
Friendliness of staff Location on the main road, couldn't really have bedroom window open and hear yourself talk.
A charming hotel and attentive and helpful host. Very atmospheric and quiet given it's proximity to the road. It was quite expensive cf to other similar hotels and it was hard to find.
small and friendly, good area
Very friendly staff! It was very nice that we could use bikes (for free!) to go to the city center. Breakfast was ok. Clean, nice room. If you don't like the free bikes, it might be a bit unpleasant that the hotel is quite far from the city center. There are buses, but the bike tour is so much more fun!
Il Ponte is a very simple but clean and comfortable hotel.
Located at a fantastic beautifull river, nice nature and not so far from the city. The owner and his parents are the most kind people I have seen, we could use the bike and they even took us to the station, the day we left.
