River Tosca Information

About River Tosca

The River Nile is a legendary cruise destination, popular even in Cleopatra’s day. Today, for passengers wanting enough luxury to satisfy an Egyptian queen, nothing beats a voyage on Uniworld Boutique River Cruises' River Tosca. Launched in 2009, this 236-ft riverboat offers an intimate experience to worldly travelers with an interest in ancient history. The 11-night Splendors of Egypt and the Nile is the River Tosca’s sole itinerary. Beginning and ending in Cairo, the journey includes at least one shore excursion each day, all led by professional Egyptologists. Rising early to avoid the heat of the midday sun will be worth it when wonders of the world await: the Valley of the Kings in Luxor, the Temple of Hatshepsut and the Temple of Karnak, plus the only surviving Wonder of the Ancient World, the Pyramids of Giza. River Tosca is one of the most luxurious vessels on the Nile. With 60 staff to 82 guests, visitors are sure to be well looked after. There are 39 staterooms and two suites with floor-to-ceiling windows. All come equipped with individual climate control, flat-screen TV with satellite channels, iPod docking station, hairdryer, and safe. Even the smallest measures a vast 335 square feet. The decor is Egyptian themed, and private bathrooms have a shower and tub. At night, passengers can enjoy traditional performances by whirling dervishes, belly dancers, and local singers. Other amenities include a full-service bar, library, restaurant, fitness room, spa with a number of massage options, and an expansive sun deck with swimming pool.
