Pros: Nice wellness area in the middle of the woods.
Cons: One of the guest houses is not connected to the spa area. So you have to walk through potential cold / rainy weather.
Pros: The Spa area was very nice. I liked a lot the family space, very good idea to keep it separate, make the families feel more free and other enjoy more quitness
Cons: that the sauna open at 11
Pros: massage with Mr Laszlo was very good. Some of the staff were very friendly, especially the younger people. The location was very beautifull.
Cons: Older members of the staff at breakfast were very unaccommodating, on the verge of rude. I must say the staff at dinner was very nice, unfortunately the food was terrible. The Gaspacho had absolutely no resemblance to the real thing, the terrine had the consistency of a spunge and the main course Tarbot with fenikel could have been nice only it was thrown on a pile of sweet couscous with raisins and dried apricots and to make the disaster complete all of this was surrounded with a strange white sauce. Never ever tasted a dish so badly composed. The spa was luxurious enough only there was a very cold atmosphere and parts of it were poorly maintained. The hotel was full of stiff upper lip germans and there was nothing natural either charming about it.
Pros: Location in the middle of nowhere, nice building, clean and well treated. Spa and swimming area relaxing and very clean. Room are for this type of hotel ok but nothing special. Dinner included was well made and good quality.
Cons: The staff was in general nice out of the reception staff, I met 4 people on the reception during my stay and 2 of them wasn’t nice, German cold way... here they have to be more friendly or they have to change job.
Pros: Superb hotel with excellent wellness facilities, outstanding food, very clean comfortable rooms and friendly well trained staff. Great for walks, culture and spending time with family and friends.
Pros: Great "mansion" of a hotel out in the deep woods middle of Germany. Excellent dinner and breakfast included. Modernized room. Spa massage.
Cons: Staff wasn't speaking much English. Very remote (on purpose). A bit pricey, half board though.

Pros: Breakfast was a standout with every table reserved for each guest and it was lovely too. Very central and easy to find. We had a large room and huge bathroom too! All was very comfortable.
Cons: Parking was a little confusing. There was a huge carpark behind the hotel where we parked but when we checked with reception they told us that belonged to the hotel next door. They didn't seem to mind that we parked there so we didn't bother moving the car.
Pros: The location was very good, next to a ice-cream place. The swimming pool is amazing and the rooms as well. Breakfast was also amazing.
Cons: Some areas require renovation.
Pros: Clean and tidy, great menu, good beer choice at the bar, friendly staff, lovely location with parking in a lovely picturesque “Grim’s Fairy Tales” town! And the swimming pool was a total bonus. I used it twice over an overnight stop, certainly went along way towards preparing me for the following day!
Pros: Very clean, spacious rooms, top location!
Cons: Breakfast served only till 10 am...
Pros: The view... The extras.. the pool. So modern in a historic setting. And not expensive
Cons: Nothing. It was so much more than we ever imagined
Pros: Hotel full of character, with well-appointed and generous sized rooms, right in the middle of a fascinating olde-worlde town. Good food and generally helpful and friendly staff
Cons: Hotel car parking is congested. Odd that we were asked to pay the town tax in cash on checkout. One grumpy member of staff at breakfast on one day. Town seems to be empty most of the time - not sure whether this is normal or caused by the temporary closure of the main road heading north out the town.
Pros: Excellent location with a fantastic heated pool. Great food, both breakfast as well as dinner.
Pros: A couple of our friends who had room 2 didn't have the best of time as it was right by the road where the cars and buses go through a very narrow gap so was rather noisy for them

Pros: The location is good in a picturesque village, a few minutes walk to the centre with some additional restaurants and shops. The price was reasonable and the rooms clean and spacious (if somewhat dated).
Cons: On booking.com you can request twin rooms. Unfortunately due to lack of German language skills and non-existent English language skills from the staff there was a misunderstanding about our needs. Two double rooms were provided and the staff were extremely rude when we tried to explain that we had booked twin rooms. Not a huge problem, but the way it was handled by the hotel staff was so bad it left a very bad feeling. The breakfast is basic and limited with no hot options. As is typical in these places in Germany food is served from 18:00 to 20:00 but there are some better options in the village.
With a stay at Gasthaus Kupfer in Suedharz, you'll be within a 5-minute walk of Museum Kleines Bürgerhaus and Ancient Coin Museum. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Location and very friendly and caring staff
Cons: You would expect better quality in the restaurant. The quality is at best mediocre.
Pros: The location is great. very central and close to the town center. Staff was very helpful and nice. Very clean rooms.
Cons: If the rooms design would be more cozy with traditional elements, it could be amazing!
Pros: Nice small hotel in old city. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Breakfast and evening dinner was good. Motorbike you get in the garage. Personal was friendly.
Pros: Great breakfast, and friendly staff
Cons: Pillows are not comfortable, they are kind of cheap,
Pros: Although we arrived earlier than expected the receptionist was very friendly and courteous and showed us to our room. The secluded beer garden behind the hotel offered us a shady place to enjoy an afternnon beer away from the glaring sunshine (unusual for this time of year).
Cons: Not really a complaint just a statement. The nearest car park (without time restrictions) was a 5 minute walk from the hotel, so it is advisable for guests to drop off their luggage before parking their cars.

Pros: The character of the rooms, the little town it was in was lovely, locals very helpful, especially the cafe down the road
Cons: Poor communication on how you can check in, no one on reception, needed to go another hotel to then have a member of staff drive down to check us all in, very rude too when we arrived
