Pros: Beautiful accomodation in a lovely location. Great breakfast and lovely owners.
Pros: Hotel was stunning, in a lovely rural area. Room was very traditional with split level and lots of French charm. Would happily stay again and recommend

The hosts are very friendly and helpful. They also speak English and Italian. Excellent value for money! Large room, bathroom right.
Cons: To reach the hotel you must take a very small country road. Few street signs indicating the way! For dining you have to book earlier, you can't choose from a menu! place apart, achievable by private car only. Nearby there is nothing.

Pros: Close to the lake and marina, several restaurants in the nearby area, the magnificent sauna in the hotel, breakfast was good and the closeness to the bike path
Cons: We happened to arrive mid Sunday. We were told that everything is closed and maybe some carts would have food in a festival nearby. This is mid afternoon after a day’s ride in bicycles. So we took their very expensive brunch which was pretty much a breakfast with a bit of chicken and mashed potatoes to later find out that there are several restaurants in walking distance, all open and with better food. Disappointing!
Pros: Room and bathroom austere and lifeless. Very basic continental breakfast in room which cost 5 euro extra. No restaurant or bar menu on Sunday just set price brunch with lots people in dressing gowns from health centre
Cons: As above but didn’t like much
Pros: Nice comfort, quiet room, good bed and good restaurant. To be able to enjoy Spa and swimming pool was great.
Cons: Nothing in particular

Cons: No big spoons at breakfast.
Pros: Spacious rooms, very comfortable bed, close to city center.
Cons: No information upfront about ongoing renovation, reception area was a big mess. Extra charge for pool area, extra charge for parking. Restaurant closed on Mondays. Poor breakfast selection, should be open from 7:00 am, but even at 7:30 they are still busy with completing the buffet.
Cons: The woman that i met made me feel very welcome...she was a star.

Pros: Could do better ! Good facilities that needs an interior designer. Otherwise very good for sleeping.
Cons: No restaurant.
Pros: Location, staff
Cons: Breakfast and the spa do not accept kids below 12 years old which was a bad surprise for us so we had to look for another spa in the city
Pros: Staff very helpful
Cons: Facilities need updating
Pros: Big parking lot. Convenient location. We were traveling from the US. Pleasantly surprised. Pin ball machine in the lobby!
Pros: Amazing location next to a park and a spa. I strongly recommend to visit Aix-les-Bains as it is stunning!
Cons: Maybe the rooms need a bit of renovation.
Pros: Room was good
Cons: No Milk available for a coffee when arriving back at the hotel about 10.30 and staff just said they didn’t have milk. Not helpful. Compared to Ibis styles Beaune a few days ago that was much better. Very helpful staff and cartons of milk. A small issue but surely every Ibis Styles could at least have uht milk cartons or fresh milk available if there are no facilities in the room.

Pros: It was very clean and didn’t smell of cigarettes. The staff were almost cheerful, and very efficient.
Cons: It really is difficult not having a loo in the room!
Pros: It is conveniently close to the Motorway albeit that it is situated on a industrial estate. Fenced of Parking spaces.

Cons: Parking was a little difficult on the street. The staff allowed us to stay on their own parking spaces.

Cons: The room smelt of stale curry but after opening the window it was ok. Car park NOT well signposted or lit.
Pros: Friendly staff, good facilities, comfortable. I liked the leaflet in the bathroom reminding guests to turn off lights, heating etc.
Cons: Don't encourage single use plastic by leaving bottles of water in the room, when tap water can be used
See hotel page In the heart of Chambery, different generations of the Perrenes family have given The Originals Boutique, Hotel des Princes, Chambery its soul. Its 45 rooms with a unique style and asserted elegance are comfortable, cosy, modern and well designed. The team is fully devoted to their guests wellbeing. The spa also helps you to make the most of a relaxing stay full of discovery in this charming Savoie city.
Pros: Location great
Cons: Smell of 4th fl rooms suggests mould
Pros: Comfortable hotel, nicely decorated. This hotel looks so small from the outside but once you are inside you realise how big the hotel actually. Clean and very quiet room.
Pros: Great place very friendly staff and location is brilliant.
Pros: Great central location. Family suite available for 5 Good breakfast Friendly staff
Cons: Decor a little tired in the rooms, which felt hot but lovely big window made up for it!
Pros: Nice sized rooms , good breakfast and great location. Parking was easy in the nearby facility .
Pros: Hotel Des Princes is located right in the center of Chambery making it a great base to walk around. The building itself is historical and interesting to travel up and down and the rooms are certainly unique, cut out from the oddly shaped building. I was pleased with the breakfast experience which was continental but of a high quality (croissants, bread, yogurt, jam, coffee, all you can eat).
Cons: The fitness center was misleading, it is small, windowless and has 3 old machines... not a place I wanted to spend any amount of time. Moreover the website made it seem like there would be some free access to a sauna or steam room but when we arrived all those services required an additional fee. Finally, the hard boiled egg machine at breakfast should be back in the kitchen. It doens't provide me with pleasure to boil my own egg and when I pulled mine out of the machine and cracked it it was completely raw... I guess someone stole my egg and replaced it a minute before I went to get it.

Pros: Perfect if you are en route somewhere as it is just off the highway but nice and quiet area. The beds and linens are super comfortable and there is a restaurant and breakfast if you don't want to wander too far. There was ample parking, especially for our very large van.
Cons: The toilet took a few flushes for the toilet paper to go down.
Pros: Easy to find, on the way. Clean and functional, staff are great.
Cons: A little bit dated.
Pros: Very reasonably priced. Staff very helpful.
Cons: Very limited selection on the evening buffet
Pros: Excellent for our needs. Simple, clean, comfortable and well located. The room was perfect for three and lovely and quiet. Very welcoming staff. Tasty breakfast.
Pros: This Hotel has all you need at a low cost, the beds are very comfortable, room spotlessly clean it's got all you want even to a plug in heater if needed in the cooler autumn days and it's a very quiet spot. This was our 3rd stay and we will certainly go again. Perfect for anyone playing golf as it's almost in the course! Only 12 euros for a taxi into the centre of town. Can't ask for more.
Cons: Having had a nasty fall in a shower/bath a security hand rail might be a good idea, not just here but in all hotels (my fall was not in this hotel).
Pros: Clean rooms and location, friendly staff
Cons: Bed was not comfy.... the mattress was bend.

The Airport of Lyon St. Exupery is one hour, Geneve Cointrin-Suisse is 45 minutes and Le Bourget de Lac is 20 minutes, open in winter only.
Pros: The room (junior suite) was OK. The pool area was nice.
Cons: We were given the wrong room upon arrival. We only realised once in the room that this didn't match what we booked (this was a standard room when we booked a suite), we had to go back to reception to ask if that was right, and the staff said they "made a mistake" and "mixed up names". No apology or gesture from the staff to make up for it. One bathroom light in the suite was broken, and the suitcase bench about to collapse. There was only decaf coffee available in the room. We had dinner at the hotel restaurant and service was not good, they never brought us our bread. The food was also overpriced. The pool area is nice but the sauna is only turned on upon request, which we didn't know beforehand.
Pros: Very good location but quite difficult to find with a car GPS... Actually the hotel is located in an other street name (Raymond Castel) and the number 173 avenue du Petit-Port does not exist... The balneo facility is fine but the jacuzzi is quite small and difficult to reach in case of a lot of people attending a the same time... Breakfast is very good and very complete with a wonderful view on the Bourget lake.
Cons: There should be towels specific for the swimming pool. No hotel maintenance during the WE, no light on the bathroom mirror...
Pros: Nice location
Cons: Ugly hotel. Ugly room. Not clean. Expensive for what they offer.
Pros: Bed was soft in the bedroom. Location was good, near the lake. The restaurant was on top with a splendid view. Breakfast ok. Parking available.
Cons: The couch in the living room was hard, not good for sleeping on it. The door of the bathroom was damaged.
With a stay at Premiere Classe Chambery in Chambery, you'll be within a 10-minute drive of Lake Bourget and Chamnord Shopping Center. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, multilingual staff, and laundry facilities. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Internet access.
Cons: Small bathroom.
Pros: Good price
Cons: For one night ok
Pros: I enjoyed th staff at the reception as I arrived as I had forgotten my booking code. All was OK with them.
Cons: The ground was wet and dirty close to the bed The maid entered my room with her pass as i was just coming out of the shower… I could not lock the door and she could enter anyway in an occupied bedroom (It was about 9 or 9.5)
Cons: Needs updating. Very out of the way. Overpriced for what it is
Pros: Cheap and the staff were very pleasant and helpful.
Cons: Rooms were very dark, dingy and dusty which made my daughter sneeze constantly. The rooms smelt of stale smoke and damp.
Cons: Paid for breakfast at Check-In then refused it in the morning !
With a stay at Fasthôtel Chambery in La Motte-Servolex, you'll be within a 10-minute drive of Lake Bourget and Chamnord Shopping Center. Featured amenities include complimentary wired Internet access, a business center, and complimentary newspapers in the lobby. Planning an event in La Motte-Servolex? This hotel has facilities measuring 269 square feet (25 square meters), including a meeting room. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Simple, clean, no fuss, good shower, washing facilities compact but very well designed so did not feel cramped and everything worked well. Bed comfortable and allowed enough room to get in and out reasonably easily.
Pros: it was on our way
Cons: absolutely not for a longer stay
Pros: It was affordable and functional. I wasn't entirely sure what to expect upon arrival, but you get everything you need. You can check in from a machine on the outside near the cafe, and your room has a small corner (pod-like) bathroom featuring a shower and toilet.
Cons: I wasn't entirely sure how to check out, expecting some place to leave the card. Ended up handing it to a random member of staff (they didn't speak English, but understood 'Checkout'). During the entire night just outside the room, there was a van making some constant beeping noise - this isn't really the hotel's fault, but a bit inconsiderate by whoever left it there.
Pros: Not much ... very disappointing !
Cons: The Restaurant ... A hot dish was served ... chicken escalope ... the entire centre of the chicken was completely raw. For this to happen once could be excused as an accident. But later that evening, the same thing happened to another guest. Dangerous !! And when a complaint was made that evening, and again the next morning at check-out, none of the staff seemed too concerned. . Reception ... Very limited times open. . NEVER AGAIN AT THIS PLACE !!!!
Cons: the rooms are extremely small, and the shower cabins are tinny. the final price was more expensive than listed because of added fees.
7.7 Good (2,526 reviews)
Nestled in the heart of a 10-hectare park between a lake and mountains, the Mercure Aix-les-Bains Domaine de Marlioz provides a relaxing stay. With 60 rooms, our hotel in Aix-les-Bains offers a beautiful area with an outdoor swimming pool. You can also relax on the terrace and taste the local flavors of our bar and restaurant. With 720 m² of meeting space and large free parking, our hotel is also a perfect place to host your seminars.
Pros: The room I got was rather large.
Cons: The hotel badly needs improvements. The food at the restaurant is mediocre. Rather far from the town; if going by car in town, know that there is little public parking available.
Pros: The size of the bed,and the tv
Cons: The hotel is not a 4stars , maybe it was 20 years ago a 4 stars hotel, I have a half board (breakfast and dinner),the breakfast it’s ok,but dinner it was very bad, the last night they bring me the meat with human hair,I told them to bring me another, they just changed the plate and removed the hair, luckily for me ,before they took the plate,I put paper, and that’s how I knew what have they done. Half board does not include drinks to dinner, you have to pay them separately, every day I find in the room bugs ,smelly bugs when you kill them... The personal doesn’t speak English or other language, just French. The food it s not great, the water in the pool it cold,to get to the pool you have to pass to a corridor that it s very cold to that corridor, specially when you are Coming back to the room, the elevator it s very old ,an it s make noise and doesn’t work very good when you pres the button s, at the breakfast some of the food it’s not fresh,I think they are for days past... Anyway a very bad experience ,specially for New Year’s Eve!!! I WOULD NOT RETURN TO THIS (2 STARS HOTEL IN MY LIFE)!!!! And I don’t advise anyone to stay here more than one night!!!!
Pros: Nice large room . Comfortable bed. Hotel is situated in a big park. Good breakfast.
Cons: The demi- pension we booked over Christmas did not include the Christmas meal and we were not informed until that evening. The demi- pension mennu had a very limited choice with no plat du jour.
Pros: The staff were very nice and they views from my room to the garden were absoluely stunning. Breakfast was good too.
Cons: The room dinn´t seem to be very well ventilated when I entered the room for the first time.
Pros: Staff were very good (except for one of barman who was miserable). Good location and quiet. Large room with comfortable bed and a balcony. Refrigerator was a real bonus - very useful! Plentiful, free parking.
Cons: Outside appearance was awful. The hotel needed painting and a general refurbishment outside. The bathroom & toilet were very tired and the bathroom was on the small side with shower over bath. Shower head itself was poor with low pressure. Bathroom & toilet needed knocking together to create more space, and at the same time, updating with modern fittings.
Cons: The service in the restaurant and the choice on the menu
Cons: Small bed rooms

The Best Western Alexander Park offers 100 quiet and air-conditioned rooms and is ideal for a business trip with meeting rooms for conferences and seminars. With its outdoor swimming pool the Best Western Alexander Park is also perfect for a break with your family.
Pros: Friendly and clean
Pros: A great stop over on the way to Alps, have visited before. The menu express breakfast was excellent and good value too.
Cons: Dinner is now a limited menu, largely pasta, burgers and pizzas set out on a laminated menu. It used to be a super French restaurant. The food was good, but no where near as varied and French it had been.
Pros: With Best Western you always know what you are getting.
Cons: Nothing. We didn't have breakfast as it was quite expensive.
Pros: The mattress was comfortable and the window could be opened. For the rest, tired and old room, stained carpet.
Cons: The restaurant, where the quality of the food was appalling. Staff did not apologize or suggest to offer another dish after we complained that the steak was hard as a rock and inedible. The carbonnade was made with pieces of meat that seemed more appropriate for pet food. Breakfast was ok.
Enjoy your stay at the Quality Hotel Le Cervolan Chambery Voglans, located near Lac du Bourget, Frances largest natural lake, Chateau des Ducs de Savoie and Port and thermal baths d Aix-les-Bains. All guest rooms offer TVs, coffee makers, desks, hair dryers and refrigerators. Business travelers will appreciate the business center, conference room, computer and access to copy and fax services.
Pros: Good location , excellent room , very friendly reception staff , excellent food
Pros: Good breakfast
Cons: My son and I had a chicken ceasar salad. The chicken was breaded and dry and putting a red pickled onion in ruined it. Both of these things ruined what should have been an easy and pleasant traditional French dish
Pros: Perfect for Chambery airport
Cons: Nothing bad to report
Pros: Great service by staff and very friendly. Good food during lunch hour. Good parking space.
Cons: 1st room was smelly. 2nd changed room was good. However, opening window made my room smelly again. I won't come back for this reason. Corridor was smelling like cigarettes smoke. Bathtub divider was not fixed, so water was on floor after shower. Found breakfast costly for value.

Cons: Room not ventilated prior to arrival.
Pros: Easy to find, spacious, easy to parc, friendly staff
Cons: A bit passed mode, isolation between room could be better
Pros: Nice hotel, beautiful location. The spa is very nice as well, though quite busy, at least when we were there. If you stay for just the night like we did and you want a massage or treatment, make sure to make reservations before your arrival.
Cons: We could hear the singer in the restaurant up in our rooms, but other than that everything was fine.
Pros: Excellent overnight stop .... lovely pool facilities.
Cons: Bar & restaurant à bit disorganised, but food good !
Pros: View from the window, location to trails and other cities
Cons: Needs an update and refurbishment
Pros: A brilliant place to stay, close to Aix Les Bains centre and within a 30 minute drive of Annecy. Clean. Lovely and quiet, and relaxing. Great service from reception staff. Nice rooms with balconies, some eoth views. Spa facilities are excellent.
Pros: Lovely views. Had to take transport to get to Aix , but not a problem. There was a free bus service nearby. Swimming pool etc very good. Food excellent, but a little difficult to understand what the choices were. Staff were very helpful and friendly.
Cons: A bit dated. That’s all. It was however clean and tidy .

Several shopping centers and the bus station are nearby. Lake Bourget and Lake Aiguebelette are 6.2 miles (1 0 km) away, while the nearest ski resorts are 45 mins away. The hotel features a 24-hour reception, 61 air-conditioned rooms for 1, 2 or 3 people and free WIFI. An enclosed car park is also available.
Pros: It's a budget-oriented hotel. Clean and comfortable.
Pros: As one would expect from Ibis …. - reliable. Nothing bad to say about this one.
Pros: Breakfast was simple but good value for money. The room is small but well designed and perfect for an overnight stay. The reception staff were lovely. Having parking for our hire car was fantastic. The bed was comfortable and room was very quiet.
Cons: The tiny size of the bathroom, while well designed may be challenging for some with limited mobility and the shower doors did not contain the water and as a result, the bathroom floor was consistently wet.
Pros: Good price, non-complicated. Good breakfast for the price. Good parking place. Friendly staff.
Cons: The room was very hot. The thermostat was set to +35 degrees. It didn’t help that we switched the heating totally off. The room was very small and had limited space for belongings.
Pros: It suits very well the purpose
Pros: The breakfast was really good
Cons: Small bathroom
With a stay at Le Carré d'Aix in Aix-les-Bains (Aix-les-Bains City Center), you'll be within a 5-minute drive of Lake Bourget and Grand Cercle Casino. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, luggage storage, and laundry facilities.
Pros: Location, staff. Was able to park the bike inside the hotel
Cons: Although toilet in at the bedroom, the shower is two floors up
Pros: This hotel is in the traditional town centre area close to the station, shops and restaurants.
Cons: Other hotels are more convenient for the lake which is a major reason for a stay in Aix les Bains.
Pros: Its a really quiet room, near to everything you need in the city. Staff is nice too.
Cons: It is missing a suport on the shower cabine so that you can put your shower gel and other stuff, it woulf make things easier. Nothing else to point.
Pros: Location good, in between station and bars and restaurants. Check in took 30 seconds. Room a bit dated but clean, tidy, comfortable and quiet.
Cons: Room a bit dated, but fine. Hotel is under refurbishment, so no complaints
Pros: A nice hotel. Old style. But the owner's kindness is unique :)
Pros: Location was great - less than 10 mins walk from the train station. Lots of restaurants nearby. Owner was very friendly. He has recently acquired the hotel and hopes to renovate next year. Price was reasonable.
Cons: The property is old and the pipes in the walls are very noisy at night. Anytime anyone runs the flush you can hear the water in the pipes. Bed was uncomfortable. Overall had very bad sleep all three nights. I was in a single room with a toilet, bath was separate on 3rd floor. But bath was only cleaned once during my 3 night stay.
Pros: Location was perfect. Staff were excellent.
Cons: No Air Con
With a stay at B&B Hôtel CHAMBERY La Cassine in Chambery, you'll be within a 10-minute drive of Lake Bourget and Elephants Fountain. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Man who helped us change from smokey room was friendly and helpful once we'd managed to locate him.
Cons: Very near busy road. Bright lights in carpark ALL NIGHT -Like daytime... computer check in. A person only if a problem.
Pros: Very reasonably priced and also where it was placed for our onward journey
Cons: Location is not very attractive and may put people off. Needs a little tidy up.excellent value for money
Pros: Location Parking Cleanliness Comfortable bed, pillow and bed linens Easy payment, cancellation policy
Cons: Shower needs a shelf for shampoo etc Would like to have had one large and one small towel Concierge recommended a restaurant for dinner but did not inform me of 10% off voucher available
Pros: Great hotel for the price! Alway nice staff, always clean, always helpful and trying to help guests whichever way they can. This time I asked if it was possible to have a room on the ground floor as I was traveling with our two year old son and the hotel doesn't have a lift. I got the room I asked for and the cot bed was already in place when we arrived. It's not in the town centre, but if you use the bridge by the train station car park, it cuts the walk a bit shorter. Probably about 15min from the hotel into the city, very easy walk even with a pushchair! Great value as no additional cost for parking like in most other hotels in Chambéry. It's obviously not a 5 star hotel, but I'll definitely give it a five star rating and will be back every time I stay in Chambéry.
Pros: It was convenient to the city centre, but still had free parking. Right next to highway, so easy to get back on the road.
Cons: The bed was hard, and there were ants in the room.
Pros: Stayed one night on the way to skiing resort . Literally next to motorway
Cons: Our room"s window was from motorway so noise for traffic at night
In the city center facing the train station, the 4-star Mercure Chambéry Centre hotel welcomes you for a relaxing family stay or a business trip. Ideally located in close proximity to the historic center, all of the city's convention centers and just a fe w minutes from the largest natural lakes in France. You will appreciate its modern design, warmly colored rooms and intimate bar atmosphere.
Pros: The breakfast room has a view over the pedestrian area in front of the station so you can watch people coming and going which is entertaining.
Cons: The underground parking is very tight. If you have a wide vehicle you may want to consider parking on the street. I had an Audi A4 and it was extremely tight
Cons: The room has weird smoker smell and wasn't particularly clean. The breakfast was very average
Pros: Ideal location . Comfortable for a business trip and staff were helpful and friendly.
Cons: All was ok
Pros: Good reception desk Comfortable bed Good shower
Cons: Poor cheap breakfast for the money
