Almedalens Hotell - Visby - Bedroom
1
9.4 Excellent (224 reviews)
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Absolutely Stunning Views from the Rooms (both Almedalens View as well as the Sea View rooms). The hospitality is impeccable. The rooms are beautifully designed, the amenities are fabulous. The breakfast served is fresh & hearty. The location is right in the thick of things inside the walls. The gardens & the marina are absolutely gorgeous.
Cons: no negatives at all! Love it
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful location. Right on the ocean. My room didn’t face the ocean but opened onto a glorious town park - fountain and gardens . Room was exceptionally clean and comfortable. Great chairs for reading by the large windows. Coffee maker, wine glasses, corkscrew in the room. Spacious bathroom. Lovely breakfast room / looked into the garden. Easy to walk to all the sights of Visby but none of the noise of being in the center. Husband and wife owner / friendly and couldn’t be more welcoming. Best choice in Visby. Personal attention to details
Cons: The breakfast was fine but not as great as everything else about this place.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely hotel, beautiful bedrooms overlooking a lovely park and lake and also right next to the sea. Seems all newly fitted out to a very high standard and the breakfast and general rooms are to the same high standard. The manager was so helpful as well, made us feel very welcome and helped us plan our onward trip round the island and sorted out car hire - excellent service all round.
Cons: Nothing, we would have extended our stay but the place closed for the mid summer holiday which was a shame.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic location. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good with a large choice of products.
Cons: It is not something we particularly disliked but people should be aware that there are quite few stairs at the entrance of the hotel and to access the breakfast room.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is located in beautiful and calm place near the park and the sea next to old town. Good breakfast, clean room, interesting design, very nice view. All staff is friendly and helpful. Quiet and peaceful atmosphere in the hotel. The best place to stay in Visby for us. Than you! We like it and recommend.
Cons: Will be better, if we could use electric kettle in the room.
2.5 Mediocre
Cons: Not forewarned of noisy onsite building works for upcoming conference. Hotel should not have been open to guests. Had to leave breakfast room because of the drilling/sawing. The nearby parking was suspended, despite calling beforehand to check it would be OK. We chose this hotel precisely because of the parking which is a real problem in Visby. Ended up having to park near the ferry terminal and walk. When we raised these issues with staff they just seemed passively bewildered.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location just by the water, great for sunset watching! 2 min walk to Visby city centre. Very comfortable beds and great breakfast.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful, tasty place in nice environment. Bathroom was big, same with the room for three persons. Nice view to the park. Breakfast was great with many different things. It’s very easy to get to the old town from the hotel. The owner is very helpful and you get great tips from her.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything.Perfect location.Perfect Accomodation.Perfect facilities. There was a certain homeliness surrounding us.A home is where you feel cared. And in this hotel,we felt the same feeling.Eva,the owner and our hostess always helped us,she being such a wonderful lady!!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is right next to the sea and near to the historical city wall in Visby. The room and bathroom were clean. Very friendly staff.
Cons: It was a bit noisy at nights because my room was very close to the park nearby. I expected a little better breakfast for such a price.

Pros: Very warm, kind and open hosts which are very open to help with tips on the island. We felt welcome as from the very first second. Extremely quiet house on the countryside with a lovely vista. The room was spacious with a queen size bed rural decoration inside. Delicious breakfast with a healthy touch and home baked bread every morning!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The PERFECT bed and breakfast. More than you can expect. We loved to stay at the three pheasants. Jerry and Josefina are so welcoming hosts and made our stay really unique and unforgettable. The property is wonderful with apple trees a beautiful veranda and a lush garden. The rooms are spacious and beautifully furnished. The breakfast leaves nothing to be desired. Homemade bread, fresh fruits. We will definitely come back :)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautifully renovated old country house run by an amazing couple. Large and beautiful garden with cows and horses just next door. Quiet and gorgeous countryside surroundings. An hour with bike from Visby but only 12 min by car. Excellent food can be ordered for lunch and dinner, home cooked with home grown vegetables. Breakfast is also great and can be enjoyed in the garden or on a sunny terrace. The bed was huge and really comfortable and everything spotlessly clean. Such an amazing and relaxing place. We hope to come back soon!
Cons: Nothing. We loved it!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: An absolute gem of a b&b - beautiful setting, gorgeous rooms with a luxe feel and lots of unique and welcoming touches. Wonderfully hospitable and accommodating hosts. And fabulous food to boot (homegrown or locally sourced and delicious!)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely host couple J and J made us feel comfortable and relaxed! Beautiful house with cozy rooms, carefully and tastefully decorated with pieces collected from all over the world, making the house echo the interesting lives of it’s vagabond host couple. Prepare yourself for relaxing evenings on the balcony, a night in a comfortable bed, a delicious breakfast on the front porch and day trips all over the island. This countryside home is a jem!
Cons: The little village is charming but there are no cafés or restaurants, however Visby is just a short 10-15 min drive away and I think you can preorder dinner at three pheasants which we will definately try next time.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing location, room, breakfast - and hosts!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great and super friendly hosts, nice room in a georgeous house and yummy breakfast! Very familiar, thank you guys for welcoming us in your home.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This place is an oasis in heaven. Gotland itself is already one of the most beautiful places on earth, and then you have Three Pheasants, tastefully decorated, wonderful guesthouse that just exceeded all our expectations. This place had such a special, tranquil vibe that it's hard to describe. Jerry and Josefina are wonderful hosts, who have travelled the world. They enjoy the good things in life, such as great literature and homegrown vegetables. Big recommendation for dinner in, and then having cocktails on the balcony.
Cons: Everything was perfect.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A wonderful b&b! Very nice rooms and superfriendly hosts. Good food!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We both had an amazing time. Sadly we didn't stay longer but next time we will. Thank you so much for everything. Perfect stay

Pros: Nice, small hotel, very friendly and corteous staff - only to be recommended
8.8 Excellent
Pros: We was happy with our stay there in general. The room was good, but quite small. The breakfast buffet and afternoon coffee was very good. The location is close to all, so very good.
Cons: Difficult to park
9.3 Excellent
Pros: As Visby was unique, so was this boutique hotel well designed and staff very accommodating. No crowds in Sept, bring good shoes for cobblestone within the medieval walls and promenade along Baltic coast.
7.5 Good
Pros: Good breakfast , though no scrambled- Perfect location
Cons: Opening hours of the reception
8.8 Excellent
Pros: excellent breakfast, beautiful furniture, close to restaurants and shops
Cons: a lot of noice during the night coming from the roof (heating system?)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Bed was exelent, and the breakfast was great.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Great location Great design Fantastic breakfast
9.5 Excellent
Pros: We had great 3 night stay in this lovely boutique hotel. Everything about the hotel was of a high standard - staff, location, facilities and our room made the visit a delight. The breakfast was not over the top but perfect for our needs and the setting with indoor/outdoor option was great. We would highly recommend.
Cons: N/A
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Lovely hotel. Brilliant helpful and pleasant staff. Excellent location in the old town. Breakfasts very good.
Cons: Not much really. It would have been nice if the hotel had had a bar and restaurant - it’s looked like they used to have one but sublet to a bar/restaurant chain. That was a shame because everything else about the hotel was so good, the addition of a bar and restaurant would have been good. That said, there are excellent bars and restaurants nearby.
Hotell St Clemens - Visby - Outdoors view
4
9.3 Excellent (491 reviews)
Overview Reviews

Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, dry cleaning/laundry services, and multilingual staff. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: A very cosy hotell right in the middle of the old part of Visby town. The staff was very helpfull also with planning trips on the island. Good beds and a nice and clean bathroom. Plenty of spaces so sit outside in the garden. Since the hotell does not sell alcoholic drinks, you are allowed to bring your own and glasses are made available. Breakfast was plentiful and delicat. Coffee and tea is available all day. On the saturday we were offered tradisjonal safran pancake. Even ruins of an old church were part of the hotell.
Cons: The place was a bit hard to find even though the hotell had given us driving directions. Parking space was very narrow. Besides this there is nothing we did not like and we recommend this hotell for a stay in the beautiful little town Visby.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely breakfast, absolutely amazing staff, they give you free fika on Saturday afternoons, room was beautiful and very spacious.
Cons: The room was quite warm and there was no way to regulate the heat. Luckily windows did open.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Very kind staff. Easy check-in as well after their opening hours. Coffee and tea available the whole day as well as many books and magazines. Nice breakfast and Saturday-fika! Excellent located. I would recommend to book a standard room as they are quite spacious. Seems that the economy rooms are much smaller.
Cons: Very clairaudient and a bit stuffy. It would have been nice with some body lotion and conditioner.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: I loved the location, next to the ruined church and the botanical garden . I loved the garden for sitting in if an evening. The staff were incredibly friendly too. Oh, and I like the free coffee.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff was soooo helpful! Breakfast was over the top delicious and location was central and walking to city wall and tower was perfect.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Helpful, friendly staff. Äsa was a pleasure to deal with, providing information and guidance to make our stay very rewarding. The detailed and thoughtful amenities and the outdoor garden settings made relaxing at the end of the day entirely pleasant. Breakfast was excellent, both in range and quality of food. The location was also great, right next to the park and close to the cathedral and the Town square with well-stacked supermarket.
Cons: AC in room would have made the unusually hot weather during our visit more comfortable.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: A wonderful hotel for families. The location is close to everything in medieval Visby, but also quiet and secluded. Our room was spacious for the 4 of us (2 adults, 2 young children), very comfortable & spotlessly clean. Breakfast was great- plentiful and delicious; staff courteous and very helpful. The children were thrilled with their "very own" ruin in the garden- able to play and wander around the ruined building of St Clemens. We were spoilt with the weather which added to the enjoyment of our wonderful Easter break. (Complete with Easter witches parade through the old town of Visby.)
Cons: There was nothing that we didn't like. Just as a side note, if you take a car, be prepared to leave your key, so they can manage the parking space logistics. We had no problems with doing that and it all worked fine, even with our 4 bikes on the car. The staff make it smooth and painfree for guests, but just wanted to mention this so you know what to expect. (The staff emailed us beforehand to also tell us about this, which was very good communication. As well as giving us very clear instructions on how to get to the hotel.)
9.3 Excellent
Pros: All the wonderfully warm caring helpful staff. History of the hotel and hotel itself. Lovely garden/courtyard. Access to one of the ruins directly from the hotel. Location. Breakfast & coffee/tea service throughout the day! I took my parents visiting from Tokyo to Visby and stayed here and they absolutely loved it!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great shower. Modern amenities with old Swedish flavour. Excellent breakfast. Helpful and friendly staff.
7.0 Good
Pros: Historic and authentic place, cozy atmosphere, great location, nice and friendly staff, wonderful, typically Swedish breakfast buffet.
Cons: Our room was extremely small, a bit cold and damp. The double bed was only 140 cm - if this was indicated at the time of my booking I missed it. I would not have booked it if I had known...

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The little touches to the decorarion of the house are very appreciated. It felt very cozy and bright. I wish we could have stayed much longer!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location is remarkably beautiful and relaxing. The hotel itself is extremely polished, with lots of exquisite decoration and a clean white and black theme. In a nice twist, some of the decoration items were available for purchase from their shop! Our room was squeaky clean and the beds were comfortable. The staff was exceedingly helpful and polite. All in all, one of the best stays I've ever had.
Cons: Absolutely nothing. Full points.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: It was very comfortable, clean, and lovely surroundings.
Cons: We thought breakfast could easily be improved with a few "upgrades" to what was available and in choice, for what we'd paid, especially as this is often what people look forward to taking time over and enjoying the most at a b&b.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful place! The staff were wonderful and when they found out I'm vegan the staff brought in extra food for breakfast to accommodate me.
Cons: The Wifi wasn't very strong in our room, if we wanted stronger connection we had to move elsewhere in the property.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Cleanliness was outstanding. Excellent breakfast. Coffee and tea available at all times. Such caring and helpful staff. Location was perfect.
Cons: The bathroom tissue was harsh. The directions for the elevator could be posted so the wrong (red) button doesn't get pulled and the whole thing put out of order until someone comes to fix it.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful little Hotel, next to the city center and the Harbour.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Bed was very cozy; breakfast was great and a lot of choices; location is perfect
Cons: Maybe more vegetarian/vegan options for breakfast
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful service.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Great location, a short walk from ferry terminal, and just a block from the visitors center. (Don’t miss the museum - it’s quite impressive.) Breakfast is tasty and nutritious. Town (Visby) is small, charming and easily walkable. Hosts are especially helpful, and even took me on a tour of some of the island.
Cons: Nothing I didn’t like, but one unusual situation to prepare for is that if you arrive after 3pm, which most ferries do, you’ll let yourself in and not see your hosts until breakfast the next day! Not a problem, but unusual, eh?
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Excellent and opulent breakfast. Very nice staff.
Cons: I wished I could open the windows fully, I don't like ventilators. Bed was a bit too soft for me.
10.0 Excellent

8.3 Excellent
Pros: All good and functional with a nice room. Close to all the town action but far enough away to be quiet.
Cons: Parking could be a problem here and more information about the island attractions would be appreciated at checkin
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Quiet, clean, comfortable with helpful attentive staff.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location, well appointed room and staff is exceptionally helpful- outstanding
Cons: Nothing
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great comfy bed, luxurious room, great variety and quality for breakfast, extra thick curtains so that no light gets in even during Swedish midsummer, friendly staff (although sometimes the reception is unmanned and you have to look for them, but that was not a big problem), strategic and beautiful location.
Cons: Soundproofing. Was staying on the third floor, the door that leads to the corridor shuts with a great noise which made me jump from my sleep quite a few times. Internal soundproofing could be better in general (no issue with external noise however), which is quite hard to change, but at least they could start with changing the loud doors.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Location is excellent, close to everything. Comfortable beds. Lovely staff. Nice breakfast. High standard in the bathroom.
Cons: Nothing, but the "small" double was indeed VERY small (room 301), but cosy nonetheless
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The place is not so far from the great attractions and the harbour.
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We changed our arrangements at the last minute and the hotel staff managed to accomodate us. We were allocated a beautiful apartment not far from the Hotel. I cannot thank the staff enough for their hospitality and the ease of managing our booking.
Cons: We didn't spend enough time in Visby!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: very nice room, close to centre of visby, parking slots on request, good breakfast
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect with carpark behind the hotel. Yoy need to book though.
Vardshuset Lindgarden - Visby - Building

Guest rooms at Värdshuset Lindgården have a private entrance and views of the town or garden. Outdoor serving in the garden is possible in nice weather. During summer, live music events are arranged. Lindgården is located on Strandgatan Street, which offers several cafés, bars and restaurants. Kallbadhuset Beach is a 2-minute walk away.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very clean, very friendly, lovely location and rooms - very welcoming and we really enjoyed our stay!
Cons: Should have a dedicated hotel staff - even if only for a specific time of the day, so we did not have to keep asking waiting staff for help. Parking access would be an asset
9.3 Excellent
Pros: I love this place, so cozy and comfortable!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Restaurant takes cash! (rarity in Sweden) Really nice oldy world style, cosy room. Recommended
Cons: No Parking at hotel but easy to find a place close by outside the city walls
7.0 Good
Pros: Comfortable, convenient (central) "homely" accommodation. Very quiet (at this time of year, later half of September).
Cons: Although quite OK, we didn't realize that the breakfasts were at a nearby hotel (60m away) and there was no reception in the accommodation. The accommodation was attached to a restaurant and the restaurant staff gave us the key. It was fine for the quiet time of year but maybe less than satisfactory when during busy "summertime".
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Room was great
Cons: The staff ignored us when we arrived despite seeing us there while serving another arrival. When wanting to order a drink in the bar later in the evening - we were sent to 3 different people and locations before being served
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Quality and lovely food. The free breakfast was fantastic
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Excellent big room, beautiful interior design, big and comfortable bed, exclusive toiletry and very quiet and clean room.
Cons: Reception and how it works in a hotel that has no reception.

The area is popular for cycling, and bike hire is available at Liste Gård. Visby is 36 km from the accommodation. The nearest airport is Visby Airport, 38 km from Liste Gård.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful barn conversion in the middle of the countryside, sympathetically converted (with rooms built within the barn's interior). Relaxed and relaxing. Huge hot tub! Very friendly hosts.
Cons: Nothing.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Super friendly staff and charming atmosphere!
Cons: Bathrooms could have been cleaner
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Great location. Anything that doesn't work is made right by the very helpful staff
Cons: A sign on the road indicating the guesthouse would have helped
8.8 Excellent
Pros: It is a very characteristic hostel, it's renovated from an old barn for animals. There is a heated indoor swimming pool. The kitchen is very spacious and well equipped. It's possible to buy snacks, tea, coffee, etc. They provide some bikes (no extra cost) that you can take for a ride in the countryside around the hostel, the landscapes are very nice. In the area just in front of the rooms and the kitchen there are some tables, chairs and sofas where you can have breakfast or just chill. The staff is very friendly!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Good value, great hosts and a beautiful setting! It’s in a remote part of Gotland, however, everything is remote once you leave Visby. A 20 to 30 minute drive or get you to restaurants, cafés, grocery store. The property has a wonderfully equipped kitchen to cook in. And you can buy breakfast on site if you want! Enjoyed my stay!!!
Hotell Repet - Visby - Building
11
8.7 Excellent (280 reviews)
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Hotell Repet in Visby, you'll be a 3-minute walk from Gotlands Art Museum and 9 minutes by foot from DBW's Botanical Garden.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Great location. Plenty of room for a six night stay.
Cons: No contact with staff!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: This is a 'self-service' "hotel"....almost like an AirBnB I guess. You check yourself in with a door code, and a code for the lock box - there is no front desk, just a cleaning person making up the rooms...but you could use a code for the luggage storage room if you arrived early and store your luggage. The room was very comfortable and pretty well kept, I loved the air conditioning and the full kitchen - great for making a quick bite. The location is in the old town of Visby - very close to the gate leading to a few shops
Cons: We ended up being fortunate that the cleaner happened to be making up rooms because our code didn't open our key box. She was able to access for us which saved us having to e-mail/ call the hotel line....which would have been a pain not having a phone data plan. It was a bit odd too having to take out the garbage and wash up and put away your dishes...but I understand it keeps the costs down
7.5 Good
Pros: The room lovely interior. Nice design. Comfy bed and pillows. Nice music system. Easy self check in and out.
Cons: Lovely coffee machine but no capsules to put in it. :( coffee grinder but no beans. Would have been a great touch. Shower door leaks onto the floor.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Really loved my stay; the ease of self check-in, the high standard yet simplicity of the room. Many nice details and at the same time it didn't feel "overdone". I needed a small bit of help and the staff answered immediately with kindness. Have already booked my next stay; this place is my new base when I go to Visby!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very fast and easy check-in and check-out. Very nice Studio, well equipped, decorated and clean. Very centrally located and not too far from parking facilities (if you need to park your car).
Cons: Reception and breakfast options not available (even if we knew this info, we think it could be a good option to add)
2.5 Mediocre
Pros: Perfectly clean. Very comfy bed. Very well equipped kitchen with espresso machine and everything you need for self catering. Excellent location.
Cons: A kind of weird hotel. No staff anywhere so no one to ask for information. When calling the number in bookings.com site an answering machine promises to call you back within 48h... In order to check in you need to get code and get key from a locker. If you don't have a working smart phone that is online you won't manage... In the room there are signs asking you to do your own dishes and empty bins. Our bin still had garbage of previous guests...
7.5 Good
Pros: Lovely apartment in the heart of Visby. It contained everything we needed for a great stay. Close to restaurants and shopping.
Cons: We stayed in apartment no 4. Great with the private balcony, but a lot of noise from the street at night. We stayed during Easter and found it hard to sleep. We missed somewhere to unpack. One closet, already full of pillows is not enough. We missed information about where to find the carbage and how to do a bit of cleaning while staying. We never met staff.
5.5 Okay
Cons: Stuffy room, narrow bed, dust bunnies in the corners and a coffee machine but no pods for it. Did not feel worth the price.
7.5 Good
Pros: despite the location within the old city and close to the bars it was peaceful and quiet, although luckily we were given a room at the rear, away from the main (pedestrianised) street. In the summer it would be worth requesting this. But only a short walk to the big parking near the shopping mall. The kitchenette was reasonably equipped. The wifi was fast and easy to connect to.
Cons: We had to work out where and how to park and this information would have been helpful to have in advance. It was only luck that we avoided a parking fine before we got to grips with the arrangements. Not that it mattered to us, it's also worth noting that there is a short steep flight of steps into the lobby and 2 rooms are located on the first floor, again stairs only. The kitchen appliances (toaster, kettle) could only be plugged in using the sockets over the sink drainer which was inconvenient. The fridge does not have a freezer compartment and there was no hair dryer.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Nicely Designer flat in old town building, very well situated dir Sightseeing, Busses, Shopping, Rating Out.
Cons: The so-called livingroom had a bed sofa drawn out with bedding to make a double bed although the flat was booked for one person only. So the livingroom could not bei used. There was not a living soul in sight to help with questions - or the superfluous bedding.

Pros: Beautiful garden with comfortable seating areas. Annika was very helpful with information. Nice walk along the sea-front into Visby 2-3kms. Very peaceful area Beautiful hot water in the showers- bathrooms very clean Annika offered me another room more appropriate to my needs when I got there and she gave me a refund on what I had paid for the larger room which I appreciated.
Cons: As I was reliant on public transport, the bus time table was not always convenient, with two hours or more between buses. As the last bus from Visby was at 9,05pm I either had to catch a taxi or walk back to my accommodation. If one has a car however, this would not be an issue. There was no sink near the food preparation/ dining area. so if I wanted to wash my hands, or get water to boil in the jug, I had to walk to the ablution block which was apart from the sleeping area. It was very expensive, and I probably paid three times what I would normally pay for similar accommodation. However, when I arrived I found that I was in the middle of the annual Medieval Week, so understandably rates would rise. Annika washed all dirty dishes and returned them to a special box designated to my room.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful view on the Baltic Sea from the room.
Cons: The unavailability of a washing machine.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The host is so nice! We arrived very late in the evening around 1 am, since the ship to Gotland was very late. She waited for us until we arrived and guided us to the room. She has a big open-area garden. It's easy to park the car. We even saw a deer in her garden.
Cons: The toliet and bathroom is outside the room. Not convenient during rainy days.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Right next to the sea and beautiful view. Quiet and peaceful. 30 minute walk to the city center. You can use the mini kitchen and even make complimentary tea and coffee any time.
Cons: Not very many buses go past.

9.3 Excellent
Pros: The location was a short walk from the old town of Visby, which was convenient. It was also quite close to the harbour. The breakfast was standard Swedish fare, but the waffle-maker was a big plus. They had a very good selection of breakfast beverages too.
Cons: Our room wasn't completely ready by the time we arrived, but it was not that much of a problem. The breakfast area gets very crowded in the morning, so it's a good idea to go for breakfast early.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very comfy room, great breakfast & friendly staff. The hotel is well located & quiet at night.
Cons: The weather was hot so aircon would have been nice but it was fine to open the windows & use the fan.

Cons: Need for more parking space

Cons: Sauna was not working.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Size of rooms
Cons: No complaints
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Visby old town beautiful my top best three places I never saw
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice breakfast, very comfortable beds, clean room, nice staff, the possibility to get a tiny meal from the reception or a beer/wine/drink at a decent (for Sweden) price, good parking
Cons: Room a bit "anonymous", could use an upgrade of the somewhat tired decor here and there
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Great, friendly staff good location just outside the wall
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very comfy bed and great selection and quality of breakfast! Best location- outside the noise of town centre but right next to the old walls and only 5 min walk to town.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: This is an excellently-located hotel. I personally do not like staying inside the Visby city wall — it is too cramped and it is a terrible job getting a taxi in there. But this hotel is JUST outside the wall. In fact it is right next to the wall, without all the space restrictions of being inside it. It is simple to walk everywhere in town and there is a beautiful secluded waterfall just a few steps away. The rooms were very comfortable and the reception staff were really attentive. I even appreciate the way the cleaners noticed how I liked to keep the room (I stayed 3 nights) and changed little things to the way I had been putting them (eg. they left the kettle where I had moved it because I had a sore back and didn't want to bend). The breakfast is really, really good, with scrambled eggs, bacon, and freshly-baked bread, plus salad options and strong coffee. I particularly liked the chia pudding, and the Thai mango salad.
Cons: Personally, I prefer to have a double bed rather than two singles pushed together. I think it's all singles in this hotel. I was still comfortable though. The stairs to the front door also surprise me, but reception helped me with my bag — THANK YOU! Finally, I stayed in high season and there are limited rooms on the island, so this was one of the more expensive hotels I stayed at on my international trip. I will still come back to this hotel, though. It's quiet, friendly and comfortable.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely interior design, everything clean, good breakfast and very nice SPA
9.3 Excellent
Pros: This historic building looks amazing. Located at very central of the old town, convenience walk to ferry port and most Place of the town. Breakfast is very good, the staff are friendly and nice.
Cons: Bathroom very small
6.3 Good
Pros: The breakfast was OK, nothing special, not super duper. The location is very good, at most center part.
Cons: The room is smaller then on the pictures at the website, at least twice smaller. The hotel were cheating on the picture on the booking com - that's for sure. One of the reception girls were not very pleasant and at that moment when we just arrived reception were "understaffed" (lack of stuff and too many people in queue waiting). The other reception girl next day were quite nice, and helpful. The beds are too soft, and so the sleep is fine but my back asks for more harder mattress at the hotel bed. But the price/facilities value I consider is overpriced, but that's Sweden - everything is overpriced here in compare with other Europe. The swimming pool at SPA of the hotel you need to pay extra if you want to visit, at 4 star hotel! (terrible) In general Gotland is fine and the city look very nice, but it is very cold! We were freezing at the end of the June! When at my country (where I am from) it was +33, there at Gotland it were +14 in the morning and +16/17 in the day with freezing sea wind (all the days were like that, no exceptions)! Not the best place to visit at the summer if you want to get summer warmth, I was wearing autumn clothes to feel good, when at the same time Swedish were walking half naked, that was freaking me out (it is absolutely ridiculous to see how they build there resorts with swimming pools - this is complete waste at such a weather, I would never swim at 16 degree of the air, I am not a Baltic Sea seal or a seagull). And the most ridiculous is when I saw an aqua-park! It is open air and air was +15/16, it was like a fridge! Swedish were happily splashing in the water, when I was in long sleeve jacket with covered head, warm pants, socks and closed shoes. The cold wind was bone piercing, but Swedish consider its a fine weather, so they were swimming, no problem for them. I was shocked. Probably those people just had an reincarnation as a walrus in previous life's ;)
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Amazing breakfast-lots of tasty choices. maybe because of a bus tour group, it was also open early Sunday morning which was good; otherwise we'd have missed it due to early ferry. Minifridge in room, staff provided a kettle on request. great hot water supply in shower, can open window for fresh air, quiet room
Cons: ironing board was mini size, toilet paper, tissues were rough. sloping eaves in room easy to bump your head on if tall.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: the place is very nice old space with vaults and very nice furnishing and decoration the breakfast was really astonishing... some kind of perfect! the location allows to wander around the inner Visby town.
Cons: the bathroom sounds a little old and not as good looking as the rest the staff did not look for very much helping or satisfying us. They close the swimming pool quite early and really do not want to give you five mn extra to test it... then we could not swim, because it was closed all the time...
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The location!
Cons: Our room was facing toward the street and we could hear the sound of the recycling truck gathering glass bottles really early in the morning.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The bar and hotel setting was very nice.
Cons: Difficult to sleep, rooms to warm and AC was very poor.
6.3 Good
Pros: Breakfast was great. Location is also outstanding. But basically, that`s all that was on the plus side
Cons: Extremely child-unfriendly place, worst experience with the hotel booked through booking.com so far :( A lot of things went wrong, in the first place, we ordered a room for three of us (our child is 7 and needs a separate bed). All details about kid were stated and booking.com showed us a room with twin or double bed for us and a separate bed for a kid, which we booked. But when we arrived, we were placed in a tiny room with one double bed. Management staff claimed that 1) booking.com does not give info about kids to the hotel, then that 2) we didn`t state our child`s age, 3) we had to book an additional bed for him and didn`t do it through booking, 4) it`s normal policy for hotel to let kids up to 12 years to sleep with their parents in one bed and that a lot of their customers bring kids beds and beddings with them, 5) they have no available rooms of bigger size, 6) we have to pay for additional bed (we didn`t have to pay in the end). Before we arrived we had a communication with the hotel about bicycle rental and it included info about our kid, so hotel definitely knew that 3 of us were coming. Also, their sauna and swimming pool accept kids up to the age of 13 only in the morning (and you still have to pay to use the facilities). We are travelling a lot and always book through booking.com, and bringing our kid with us was never an issue....

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was better than expected, and it was a nice surprise that we got veranda at the room - I think it was one of very few verandas in this building. Beautiful view to the ocean. Most of the rooms in this hotel would not have such view and varanda, but still - we will be back!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The room, the spa, the games room
Cons: Breakfast could have stayed open longer
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Just a pleasing experience altogether. Great location, pleasant good size room and bathroom. Excellent breakfast.
6.3 Good
Pros: Right in the center of the old city center, easy to find restaurants. Our room is spacious, it is nice having a balcony facing the yard.
Cons: The quality of breakfast is not as good as other BW hotels in Sweden. The hotel seems short of staff, our first breakfast was hardly to find a clean table can sit, most of tables were full of used dishes and cutlery. About the room, one day we found that the towels were not provided and the following day our room door was unlocked when we came back in the afternoon, never had such kind of experience in a four star hotel!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Gym and Pool Area
Cons: No AC in rooms
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Ideal location, excellent breakfast, friendly helpful staff.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Very clean. Well appointed. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Nice dining room. Good food. Easy parking. Safe and comfortable
Cons: Rm # 484. Bathroom sliding door is terrible. No place to put the coffee maker in the room except on the floor. Did not know we could request a boxed breakfast when we had to leave on Sunday at 7:00 SM to make the ferry. So, we had NO breakfast. During the week breakfast begins at 6:30. So there is time.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: comfortable room and bed. I enjoyed the nice breakfast.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Very helpful and pleasant staff. The hotel has retained the character and charm of the original buildings without compromising comfort. Due to this, a rather winding route to find the room, which was excellent.
Cons: One of the two lifts required was giving trouble but was fixed quickly.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: very nice breakfast excellent location in a quiet part of Visby
Cons: understaffed in reception and restaurant

Cons: Excellent
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The hostel was clean and had many thoughtful touches, like up-to-date bus timetables, maps, shoe horns, hooks where you'd want a hook, a basket full of ear-plugs if you find the city noises loud at night.
Cons: This is a heritage building and the walls are thin, though the owners have done everything they can to keep the place quiet (heavy noise-cancelling doors, carpeted floors, etc.). There is also just one shower for four rooms to share.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Too expensive for what I got.
Cons: I couldn't enter the hostel when I arrived at 3.30pm. It was locked, and I hadn't been sent the code to enter. I was waiting, freezing and worrying about what to do. I had an appointment that I was just about to miss. The office didn't answer my phone calls. When the manager finally answered my text, and said that he "thought" I was coming in the evening, and that he was going to send me the code later. Unacceptable, since I paid for the room from 3pm. I expect a refund.
5.8 Okay
Cons: They didn't send me the code to the door.. And I had to wait for 1hr with my child outside the hotel in the middle of the night!
