The hotel was beautiful and clean. The staff we exceptionally friendly especially Antonio. Best hotel visit I have had in a while. Location was perfect as well.
The room was great. We stayed one night only to get back home and fly out of Rome. We were 10 minutes from Ancient Rome and the colosseum. We discovered we were three blocks away from the church of the holy steps. If you are Catholic you must visit the church and climb the steps Jesus did on your knees. The steps were from pontiff pilot palace in Israel and brought from Israel by St Helen. The staff was great and breakfast was excellent.
There hospitality They all have service with smile
The staff were very helpful and the parking very convenient also a great buffet breakfast The front room proved very noisey - had to move and was put in a very small room ,
Very good breakfast and very good location! Everything was perfect!
To be honest i have nothing good to say about the hotel. Its near the subway thats it really. The room was small and the bar was not opened when we got there on are first night. No internet in the room or the bar only in the hall. The shower was broken. I cant believe its a four start restuarant.
Fabulouse breakfast and wonderful friendly staff, happy atmosphere
Nice size hotel - not too large. Handy transport links to metro for airport/getting around the city Lovely breakfast buffet - large spacious dinning room Helpful staff The shower - flooded the bathroom everytime I used it - which left a damp smell in the bathroom.
the hotel was near the metro station .so its very easy to travell in rome using the metro, it near the shopping streets . the staff was good .. the breakfast was very poor
it was clean and somewhere to stay price
location is good.
Very clean and efficient staff The road noise - very poor window soundproofing on th street side. And ineffective airconditioning. Not overly serious problems or we would have metioned them to the hotel.
The hospitality was great ! The hotel staff especially Front desk crew and the Breakfast staff were extremely welcoming. Hope to visit again Just the fact that there was brief noise from the rennovation being done to the hotel...... tired to sleep around 3 pm but couldn't because of the noise from the workers.
The location of the hotel within walking distance to major attractions, modern, perfectly clean, with comfortable beds, great air-conditioning and helpful staff. The ongoing reconstruction did not affect us in any way. AFter it is completed, the hotel will be even more appealing.
The check in was quick, the receptionist was very informative on tips around the city. I love the comfort of the room and that WiFi was available.
The staff was very nice anf helpful.Rooms were very clean. Airport shutlte available. Is in walking distance from the colloseum. Breakfast was good. Location of the hotel is down a dark alley, can only recieve internet connections down in the lobby area. Jacuze wasn't working
Nice room and very good location! 200m from Manzoni Metro Stationand 10-15 minutes from the colosseum. Even though the staff was generally helpful, there was one guy very rude with annoying behaviour!
Alhough the hotel is located near some historcal points, the location is not very nice. It is in a street that is more like an alley and taxi's are hard to come by unless arranged by the hotel. Personally, I feel when your are on holiday there should be some kine of vibe or lively atmosphere around.
Location Not finished, construction work still going on
The hotel was fine it was just one thing who wasent so good the air cindition did ´t work
Lovely room great size bathroom with wirlpool bath. Helpful friendly staff and a great location.
The location. The design and the breakfast. Even when it was not included it was worth paying the extra. The room temperature was a little bit too high.
The ladies at the front desk we very nice and helpful The men who worked the front desk were very rude and no help at all. The air conditioning didn't work, which seems to be the case for all hotels in Italy. We paid alot for the room. Too noisey on street 24hrs.
Hotel very central for where we needed to be. Hotel on very busy and noisy street, has requested quiet room but did not receive one.
the hotle was good as cleaning and staff behaviour. the hotle was 4* and the facilities were not enough.
The room was spacious, window overlooking sky and garden, excellent breakfast, ample fresh delicious fruits. Next to the Manzoni station, or more precisely on the mansoni metro station. Good location, overall excellent.

Comfortable, quiet room looking into a back area and not over the busy street. Electronic key to get into the room was awkward to use and it always took several minutes to get in. Staff at reception could have been a little more explanatory with directions and suggestions for tourists.
the room was extremely clean with daily change of sheets and towels. the barman was friendly and helpful. the location was pretty good. All in all I'd recommend this hotel. The restaurant was only open to groups. After a long day siteseeing it would have been nice to eat in the hotel.
the reception and the public area need to be renovated, they are old. breakfast was ok, not the best for a 4 star hotel
It was close to the Metro Breakfast was terrible. Hot food was cold. Tea coffee from a machine, coffee tasted like tea and tea like coffee. Staff at reception were not friendly
Perfect for a stay in Rome. Subway is literally 50 steps from the hotel. Hotel is two stops from Termini, the center of the subway system. So after flying in, a quick train ride for 14 Euros and subway for 1.50 Euros and we were at the BW. Breakfast was terrific. Siimon, at the front desk, could not have been more helpful. Hotel is a five minute walk from Bascilica of St. John Lateran (where Luther was walking up stairs on his knees) and very close to the Colosseum. I'd agree, I'd not feel safe at night if I were a woman walking alone. Otherwise, I think it is fine.
the internet was woking perfectly a lot of noise!
The pool on the top of the building was nice, although small. Great view from our room and the top of the building of the Colosseum. Bar area was nice with a good selection. Staff very all helpful and friendly. Our air conditioning leaked and they moved us immediately. Easy access to all the bus routes. Pool was busy and there is very little seating area. Hotel was quite expensive for what you got. Breakfast was average.
Mostly everything The key continually stopped working resulting in going to the hotel room then having to trudge back to reception to have it reactivated. This happened six times in five days.
The central location to visit all the historical sites The only downside was the insufficient staff for the rooftop bar/snack area. on our visit the area was busy with guests but only a single staff member to serve all.
Good location. Bar on the roof with a view on Colosseo. Terrible scent in the rooms (we were two families and have tried 3 rooms), lack of fresh air in the rooms due to the glass panels, that cover the windows. Furniture is quite old. Bath equipment is old and rather unpleasant to use. Rather hard beds.
It was good that the hotel provided the customers with two bottles of water per person on each day and also a fridge in the room. The shower cubicle was too small and the room could have been bigger considering the price we were charged per night.
location and friendly personel Lots of stains on the carpet, wall and sofa (where our daughter slept). Holes in the door. Fungus in the bathroom and a leaking tap which caused a lack of pressure so the swich to the shower didn't work. When insisting on a solution, after the receptionist sugestion to shower in the morning, I got acces to a 1p room to use the shower, but that one was so small my head hit the shower and I couldn't bend to wash my feet. It felt like a cheap motel in stead of a 4 star hotel.
Excellent staff, good food facilities and roof top pool lovely Hotel room was small and carpets were quite dirty. Shower very small, we are very slim people and just got in it!!
That you recommend a tour and was excellent Just the size of the bathroom, it was too small
Close to Colosseum and Roman Forum. Staff were friendly enough, but the hotel does not live up to Mercure's reputation at all. The breakfast is not worth the 15 Euros (burnt scrambled egg, for example, is not appertising) and you can hear everything from lifts going up and down to traffic noise from the room far too clearly. Then there's the matter of the air-conditioning being switched off in October, even if the days are still very warm. Not what it is cracked up to be.
staff was very helpfully, good service and most magnificent view at Colosseum ! shower is a little bit small !
Friendliness of the hotel staff, they are a real asset to the hotel. Water pressure in the shower in my room could have been higher, but on the plus side they replaced the shower head without me even needing to ask and that did improve things.
most wonderful staff so wonderful food so wonderful the location so wonderful highly rec this hotel not one thing
Helpfulness of staff . Location of hotel great . Room really clean and comfortable . Breakfast ok . terrace and facilities excellent.
locality - staff - area - already recommended to friends
Very nice 4* hotel with style and atmosphere; very friendly staff. Lovely terraces. Small details to make this hotel even better: - more international tv channels (eurosport, etc.) - it would be nice to have the free internet in the lobby for a quick use
The friendly and efficient staff and the location of the hotel very near the centre of Rome yet in a pleasant place. While they served a range of very good snacks during day and evening they had no restaurant. However there were plenty of places round about to eat.
All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful . The breakfasts were lovely and the staff in the dining area always smiling and polite . The hotel was in a good location , close to the attractions but nice and peaceful . We had booked a superior doube room and i felt for the price the room was slightly on the small side.
The room was very nicely decorated and comfortable. The staff in the breakfast room always had smiles on their faces and were so hospitable...a nice way to start the day. The front desk staff answered any questions we had and the map of Rome they gave us on the first day came in very handy. After taking a long walk on the first day and then returned to the room, seeing the slippers placed by the side of the bed was such a comforting sight. Customer service was exemplary. The location, too, was convenient to so many attractions, as we chose to do a lot of walking. Thank you for a lovely stay!
Location, staff readiness to help,
The rooms were very well appointed and staff were very attentive
Hotel was clean, comfortable and well situated for easy access to the city centre. In particular, the courtyard area was very pleasant to sit in and relax with a glass of wine at the end of a long day's sightseeing! Breakfast was good and staff generally pleasant and helpful. Andreas in particular was extremely helpful and patient when we had a slight financial crisis after being pick-pocketed on the metro on our last evening. What was an unpleasant and stressful situation would, without his help and understanding, have been a lot more difficult to deal with. Thankyou Andreas! We were disappointed to find there were no tea/coffee making facilities in the room. Also it would have been nice to be able to relax in a hot bath at the end of the day rather than just the shower! Two minor faults perhaps but, if remedied, two major improvements to the holiday experience!
good staff and Location bad sound-proofing
The staff were excellent and friendly, the location is within 100 meters of the tram service which is efficient to the Termini station, the breakfast was lovely and the outside seating by the reception was beautiful.
We enjoyed our stay at the Hotel. However it was advertished that the hotel would have A/C but did not allow us to use it.
The hotel had a special character, which made it different from the average typical hotel. I liked the paintings on the wall. The ceiling in our room was wet and after taking a shower, somehow all the bathroom was soaked with water.
Location near bus and Metro. Helpful staff. Everything was great!
breakfast was good, its close to the coloseum and Manzoni merto station Little to no hot water in the evenings,Not alowed to use the Air conditioner,Parking was dearer than quoted on the website.
It is a nice, quiet, safe neighbourhood. The metro station Manzoni is near the hotel. There are also buses for city center. The hotel is beautiful, romantic and very stylish. The staff is nice and very helpful.Everything is perfect for a nice holiday! On my next visit in Rome I'll be back to Emona Aquaeductus Hotel!
Good variety for breakfast - fresh produce. Staff friendly and helpful. Handy for local transport facilities. Traffic noise, especially early in the morning, was problematic.Extra pillows would have been welcome.
Friendly, helpful stuff. Not far from metro Manzoni and Coloseum. Walls in the room were not very clean. It was a little bit noisy (could hear water and TV from another room; cars in the morning). Couple of times there were no hot water.
Clean with good facilities and a good bus service into the centre It was a bit further out than we would have liked
I thought their breakfast was fantastic, with a great variety. The view from the lounge was great, which helped me get around the area since I walked most of the places I visited. The location is perfect, with culture, art, food and shopping all within walking distance. I asked for smoking but didn't get it.Didn't have resturant open all day.Internet isn't same as North American,so I didn't know how to use it and language barrier seemed to far apart to get help that I needed.
Location, friendly staff Very small room
Location was nice very close to the bus and Metro stops. Staff gave detailed directions / tips for around the area. Only the tiny elevator took for ever to find it empty. Could walk five flights of steps fast than the elavator.
Staff and hotel location
Excellently situated in central part of town a few hundred meters to the nearest Metro station Room not quite up to usual Best Western standard. Carpets appeared to be worne down and wall paper had come unstuck in places. Unpleasant odour from the toilet.
Nice view from the restaurant, room and facilities were good. At first we didn't get the room we reserved (double bed at front of hotel instead of the desired twin beds at the back of the hotel), but this was corrected after the first night.
Clean Rooms. Very friendly staff. Good breakfast, Good internet connection I was happy with everything!
Very friendly, helpful staff. Good prices and not far from center
Location. It's quite easy to find, even if you don't want to use a taxi (but you have to walk about 5-7 min. from the metro station). My room was comfortable, although for the people that are bigger and taller than me it may seem a bit too small. The breakfast was good, even for the vegetarian, and there was even the library! The staff was very professional, friendly and helpful. I didn't quite understand how was the lift working during the breakfast time - it seemed that the destination "hall" had been disabled, and I was restricted to use stairs to come down when checking out. I don't mind using stairs, I just didn't understand how the lift worked...
I can't say enough about how wonderful this little gem of a hotel is tucked near the Coliseum! The reviews were great but it exceeded my expectations. I am in the vacation rental business as well and stay at The Four Seasons often so I have high standards when I travel. The staff was extremely courteous and well informed. Offering free wifi was a very nice bonus. My suitcase broke in transit and the staff offered to repair it for me without charge. The decor was fresh, clean and pretty. There was a lot of beautiful stone work throughout the hotel which helped in giving it an old world feel. The complimentary breakfast was yummy and in a pretty setting. I will be back on my next trip to Rome, thank you!!
This is a very nice B&B. It is 5 min walk from San Giovanni subway metro Station and 15 min walk from the coliseum. The pictures are very accurate. Excellent value, its very clean and modern with very nice helpful hosts. The free WiFi works great. Coffee shop a block away, places to eat close by too!
Friendly staff, clean, and conveniently located.
