Couldn't ask for better location as a first time visitor. You can reach all the tourist spots on foot (that's what I did even though bus stops are only round the corner). Very good breakfast. Room size - so small that I couldn't find any space to put my 'closed' suitcase.
location is wonderful, right in the city center very noisy on Sunday night with disco pub downstairs till midnight, room is very small and narrow, too expensive with such poor facility
Hotel is centrally locaed; its public spaces are modern and our standard room, which appeared to have been recently renovated, had a nice old world charm with high ceilins and beautiful finishes.
Friendly, helpful staff. Clean & bright. Reasonably priced considering it is in the centre of Rome. We intend to return to the city & intend to stay at the Cosmopolita again.; The room was slightly small. The shower cubicle was very small.
the Place no view from the window
I would recommend this hotel for its cleanliness, fantastic location and very friendly staff.
Very well located, confortable and good value for price. Room quite small, but acceptable for short accomodation.
Excellent location and breakfast. The room.was pretty small but.nice
Location was excellent - also had very good lunch, breakfast and coffee facilities
location of the hotel is excellent for all main attractions and restaurants The hotel staff were unfriendly and a touch unhelpful, especially reception. Breakfast was a little disappointing too
- The location. - The services. Nothing
Service was superb. Classic elegance and at the same time, very convenient. Access from the main Piazza and to the marina.
The hotel was what I expected, and suited all my requirements The terrace restaurant and bar on the roof of the hotel is a huge disappointmnet. As a woman travelling alone I was made to feel distinctly unwelcome. Moreover, the food was not what one would expect at the price.
location, view, comfort, services speed of in room house keyboard internet very slow
Location Small room.
Location, Roof Terrace Room was poor, not refurbished, Bidet did not work (water pressure low), dark, looking to the inner side. We booked a room directly at Hotel Minerva in December 2009 and got a much better, larger room for the same price. Obviously booking.com is getting the low-cost left-overs.
The location was why we chose this hotel. We were a twenty minute hoof to St. Peter's one way, and five minutes to the Coliseum the other way. It was a great home base from which to explore the eternal city. We were also surprised when they upgraded our room at check in. Room size was outstanding for an older hotel. We've stayed in many dozens of old hotels throughout Europe, so we are not surprised when some parts of the experience are a little ragged. It had been unusually warm. I figured the building's environmental systems had been switched over to heat for the winter, so our room was uncomfortably warm. After a shower, the tub took a long time to drain fully. The minibar was restocked before our second night. Even though we took nothing from it, we were charged for items used by previous guests. Lastly, we did not get turn-down service on our last night. But these kinds of missed details are typical for Europe, and did not bother us.
The roof restaraunt and bar were great. The room was small and the bed matress was very hard and uncomfortable. The rooms were too modern--when you go to Europe you want to stay where the rooms are old fashion and full of past times.
Excellent location - so close to thre Pantheon and walking distance from main sights.
location Altough it has been mainteined good, the building is very old.
location, staff they cleaned our room just when we put "please make up our room" note; no russian TV channesl
Location was great. Room size for Europe was very good. Had room with terrace which was nice. Will stay again in future and recommend highly to others.
1. location 2. room breakfast is to correspond to the price (quality and choice are very poor)
Excellent location for tourists. Front desk staff lacked smile, and not very helpful apart from the very basics.
Location was excellent and the staff were friendly and very helpful. Room was excellent - very clean and comfortable.
Closeness to city centre; still quiet and cosy Reception personnel a bit cold; other personnel very friendly
extremely close to all points of interest in Rome city including all classical sites. Reasonably quiet, if that is at all possible in Rome. The restaurant was not appealing to us: the prices were quite high, the service was slow and it was right next to a major traffic artery as well as the to the foot pass leading to Fontana Trevi.
Excellent room, bathroom and hotel Poor service, arrogant and unhelpful staff made interactions with reception unpleasant. "Attempts" were made to service the room after 2pm each day exactly when we returned to our room after spending the morning and early afternoon sightseeing. This poor timing of the proposed servicing of the room was obviously intentional so as to avoid servicing the room. No soaps where replaced during the 4 night stay. Initially laundry was not done even after making a special trip to reception to obtain forms and understanding of their proposed laundry procedure. Laundry was only completed after an argument with reception. The hotel stay was not good because although the hotel is great but management is very poor
Central location, clean rooms, well working aircon Staff at reception was too formal, no way to get a smile...Breakfast is out of wack for a 4* hotel, internet should be free and not at euros 20/hr...
they upgraded us to a suite too close to trevi fountain so there were too many people up and down the street; chose because breakfast was said to be so good-- we have had better.
The hotel was in an excellent location. The memory foam beds were extremely comfortable. We especially enjoyed the private patio. The bathroom was not clean. There were dirty fingerprints on the wall and even a bloody one. Breakfast food was very good but the waitresses were very impatient with guests when the coffee machine was out of order.
The staff were always helpful and so very nice to the children. no
The staff were extremely helpful and welcoming, our room (409) was well decorated and spotless and had a charming balcony overlooking the rooftops of Rome. The hotel is very conveniently located for all places of interest which are within walking distance ranging from 10 to 20 mins. There is a restaurant within 5 mins walking distance which is extremely good value and has excellent menu and service. Our double bed was actually two beds pushed together. The breakfast was very basic continental.
Very central placed
Very good location
The hotel is very central. 300m to Phanteon, 250m to P.Navona. We had a Quadruple room, which was about 30m2! Very nice staff! Sorry, but this is not a 4 star hotel. The beds was so hard that the last night (out of 4) I almost could not sleep at all. The cleanliness could have been better. Dust in the closets, ++ and the shower was not very clean ether. The toilet was noisy and leaking (they tried to fix it), the safety box was not in order (they tried to fix it twice). In our room the windows was not possible to close properly, and there was no view (2/3 floor). Some traffic noise. Breakfast was very simple, but good. The man in the reception (at night) did not speak english (the others was very helpful at all time).
Staff pleasant and helpful. The hotel is quite central in main attractions although the road is very busy
Staff were very friendly and effective in helping avoid tourist traps. Most were very friendly.
Centrally located across street from Trambus double decker sightseeing bus stop and steps away from Piazza Navona. They had many choices of food at generous Continental Breakfast. Quiet hotel, nice double shower. The Cable nor the TV worked, everything else was nice.
The location was great. The staff was very nice and helpfull. The room was big and comftable. Breakfast was nice. We got the WiFi connection for free. The blankets were dirty. There is no heat until November.
Staff was extremely helpful in our one fast day in Rome. The location is walking distance to most of the attractions we wanted to see. Breakfast was quite nice. Food staff was excellent also. Nothing.
location is perfect
The location was incredible! It is literally at the Piazza Venezia. The bus stop is right outside the door (easy access from the Termini station). The Trevi fountain; and Colloseum are real close. Staff did not seem to know the new computer system very well, so the checkin and checkout took some time.
Location location location, also featured every amenity we required, such as a bathroom and shower. Room safe didn't work
the only good thing the hotel has to offer is it's location this was without a doubt the worst hotel I've ever been to. the rooms were extremely small and dark, with hardly any air coming in. half the time there was no hot water to take a shower. the worst part was the toilet - the water was'nt running well down the toilet. twice they told us they had fixed it when the actualy did nothing, and only when it got impossible to stay there, and after we demanded to talk to the manager - they finally switched the room to one that was a little better. on top of all that, they "forgot" to mention that there would be constructions going on at the hotel, so it was also messy and noisy. I would never, ever, recommend this hotel.
location was the only best thing!! extreme ultra small room with cramped bathroom. no breakfast.
good location too small rooms
it has very central location
A well located hotel with attractively decoratated common areas and a nice lift The rooms were so small. Bathrooms even smaller. To describe our room as a 'Superior Double' was to misrepresent the room on 2 counts. It was neither superior, nor double. Then there is the matter of the 24 hour smell of baking donoughts from the bakery below, the lack of hot water, the heating system that didnt work............
Loved the location to all things in rome! Bus stop right at the front door for St. Peters and a 24 hour bakery with coffee bar downstairs. several nice restaurants in general area and a short walk to panthenon and trevi. the colleseum and forum are a short walk away. The noise from the street is noticable, but we used the tv which was only in italian as white noise and did not have a problem sleeping as we were exhaused when we came in. The bathroom as noted by other travelers is small, the toilet is close to the 1/2 bathtub so would not be good for large people, but there was plenty of hot water and we had no problems and found it adequate for our needs
Very close to all of the historical sites The lack of air conditioning in the room. It worked great in the lobby.
The rooms were very nice, small on the basic end and beautiful in the deluxe. The staff were all incredible and the breakfast and happy hour/light dinner were incredibly convenient. Two of the rooms have a "courtyard view" which meant it was super dark, all day long. The rooms are small and no gym, but very typical of European hotels in the tourist district.
Had a good stay at Relais Trevi 95. Staff was very helpful and knowledgeable. 5 mins away from the Trevi Fountain. Breakfast included with your stay and delivered to your room with time requested which was AMAZING! The toilet looked really cool but uncomfortable to sit on other than that everything else was great!
the good approach of the staff our room was too much nosy
Excellent location in historic square. Very comfortable rooms with fabulous views of the Pantheon.
This hotel is well situated on the P. Rotonda, in front of the ancient Pantheon in center of Rome. It is an old hotel and has annexes nearby with apartments. Our stay at the annex apartment was good, but the level of comfort was not that as in the actual hotel... and the furnishings are dated and stale. Our apartment was three star at the very best. The apartment annexes are old and stale and need a fresh up on furnishings... they are not at the same standard as the four star hotel itself, and I have stayed far nicer three star hotels in Rome.
location, view noise due to loaction
The Staff were very accomodating, spoke excellent English and were very very pleasant!!. It was what it says on the box - a 4* hotel - not a 3* posing as a 4*!!! The air conditioning units for the whole hotel were right on top of our room, and caused the walls and doors to vibrate! The hotel stafff were really good about this and agreed to turn it off between 23:00 and 08:00 in the morning so as not to disturb our sleep! I'm sure we never would have had another hotel offer to do this! Great Breakfast (although I would suggest not watering down the orange juice). Fantastic location - central to everything! All in all a well run hotel, and a very pleasurable stay! No - it was just right!
Excellent location and friendly--helpful staff. Hotel was everything we were looking for on vacation and even better.
The situation across from the Pantheon was the reason for our choice of Hotel Sole al Pantheon. The Piazza della Rotonda is a beautiful view from the second floor where we stayed. Too few tables in the otherwise beautiful breakfast room.
got upgraded - room very nice beds very hard but after a day of sighseeing i could have slept on the floor and not noticed.
The location. The hotel in next to the best square in Rome. There are many different musicians that frequent the area and you can meet people from all over world. The party goes on into the early morning. No
When we eventually got the room we had requested and paid for in advance we were quite pleased with it. Breakfast was extremly poor, breakfasting room was tiny and the hotel had no recognisable lounge area.On our first night our reserved and paid suite was given to another party. The rooms to the front are noisey with frequent and numerous musicians during the day.Bottles are collected noisily from all the cafes in the square at 0800.A truck washes the streets at 0200 am. If you have an internal room and it rains then you are kept awake all night by the sound of rain falling on the canvas of the external breakfasting room. The internal cooridoors are hot. Some front desk staff barely have the courtesy to greet you as a guest.
Excellent location and great staff, right on the piazza across from the Pantheon. Room size was good and bathroom was as well. Staff was very attentive. View was awesome. Bed was very firm. Breakfast was poor.
The front desk staff was exceptional. The interior design was beautiful, the location was absolutely perfect - right next to the metro and colosseum. There were many (well priced) local shops and restaurants, but there weren't too many other tourists. They had great wireless internet connection as well. The only thing we were not very impressed about was that there was construction happening on the roof above our room - which was fine during regular hours, but one moring we wanted to sleep in and it had started at 7:30 (hammering right above our heads). All else was great, however.
We were upgraded from the annex to the main building so can't comment on the annex. A very simple but good quality breakfast served each morning. The decor and furnishings very tasteful, comfortable bed. The location is terrific, and the local restaurants seemed like they were there for the locals not just tourists. The hotel is small and compact as was the room. The room lacked natural light, and the shower was a bit on the small side, but manageable.
The location of the hotel was great, just a few hundered metres away from the collosium. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
The english speaking staff were very helpful. Room very pleasent and the hotel is in atmospheric part of the city no.
Hotel staff, dislocation room
Location was perfect! It was clean and staff was friendly although sometimes service was slow because staff appeared to be limited. Although the hotel was quite adequate and I would stay there again for location alone, it was not exactly up to the standard I would expect for the price that was paid.
The fact that the staff were always available, very polite with a pleasant disposition, and helpful.
Great location, beds were comfy, rooms were nice.
Staff were very accomadating and made our stay a relaxing one. Hotel gives the impression of having more luxury on website than actual during visit. Room alot smaller than expected and dining facilities poor.
The room was very good, good breakfast and it is near metro station. na
excellent location elevator was old and scary
Excellent Location. Within 15 minutes walk of all the main sites, Colloseum, Trevi fountain etc. Vatican City only ten minutes by bus which can be picked up very close to the hotel, hotel also sells bus tickets. Also very close to some reasonably priced restaurants, which reception helpfully pointed us towards heading North up Nazionale round the back streets. Room very clean and very tastefully decorated. Air conditioning worked well, room was quiet. Staff very polite. Nice little snack bar directly opposite which will do you pannini and a soft drink for two for 11 euros (about £7 at the time of writing) Tried to sell us the more expensive Limo (50 euros) to take us back to Ciampino Airport, when taxi cabs are fixed fee of 30 Euro both ways for this journey. Shower cubicle was very small, they had a large massage type shower unit, but for some reason had fitted it with only a half size shower tray. I am only 5' 9'' but struggled turning round and washing in the shower without hitting my knees and elbows!!!
the location and breakfast are fine. they r bunch of liars!! the reception told me i will stay in a single room i booked for the first night then they are gonna change me to a double room on the second night as a gift. it turns out they put me in a room that i can hear everything happened on the street!! its not possible to fall asleep in that room!! And after i talked two of their managers im pretty sure they do the same thing over and over again. All i wanna say is that room shouldnt be used as a hotel room anymore and the stuff there should stop lying!!!!!!
Location which puts you 5 minutes away from all major tourist attraction. Very clean rooms, decent breakfast, front desk staff very helpful. Definitly good value for money. Poor pastry at the breakfast. A bit noisy at night, but it comes with the location.
great location. walking distance to all important tourist sites. nice decorations, friendly staff, could pay for internet access on their computer in the lobby pillows were hard as rocks
The location was excellent. The Breakfast was very good. The hotel staff spoke perfect English and helped us in every way. Honestly the pillows hurt my head. Not much to complain about. The room was clean, the safe worked, the breakfast was wonderful, it was family friendly.
Very central location Showers in the rooms were very poor standard.
Perfect location. Stayed 5 nights, had a problem with our room on the first night, spoke to the desk about it in the morning and they upgraded us at no extra cost for the other 4 nights, which was great. Breakfast good. Loved Rome. Hotel could do with a face lift, it is looking rather tatty in places and is a little pricey. The hotel restaurant, which is not run by the hotel serves awful food and is expensive too, so go further afield if you can. dont go to the restaurant that the hotel recommends called Crisciotti in via del buschetto, the food is ok but they rip tourists off by offering you discounts then sticking extras on your bill and overcharging you for other things. This happened to us and another couple while we were there. There are plenty of other nicer places to eat.
Closeness to historic sites Lack of coffee making facilities in the room
A nicely located hotel mixing modern amenities and an old-world atmosphere (including the cage lift). Some nice resraurants in the area as well.
Great rooftop views of Rome
The location was really convenient for me – centrally located and a convenient walk to most of the attractions (even the Vatican or Colosseum are only about a 20 minute walk away) The included breakfast was decent and couldn't have been served in a better location than the rooftop garden with a good view of the city in most directions. The WiFi is an extra charge unless you book directly on their website and it was so slow and unreliable that it's not worth paying for. They had the classic signs of a hotel skimping on a professional installation: many different network names and while many of them reported excellent signal strength, the access points would usually reject connection attempts; after retrying enough times to connect the best speed I saw was about as fast as a 2G cellular connection and you'd be logged out a couple of times an hour. Until they hire a professional to fix their network, skip the frustration and go out and enjoy the city instead. Any cafe, bar, restaurant, etc. advertising free WiFi will give you something tasty for your money along with better service.
Location, location, location. Good stuff. Spectacular breakfast bar on the roof with a view of all Rome. Clean, nice. Interntet was not working. It was connecting, but not working. Spent fortune on international data before realized.
