Very little! We booked for 2 nights; the room we were given wasn't big enough to swing a cat and only about 0.6m between the end of the beds and the wall. The outlook from the window was into a service duct and the whole thing was thoroughly claustrophobic. Awful!!! Luckily we were changed to a much better room for the second night after complaining bitterly. We would not recommend this hotel.. Ian & Jane
Basic good value money hotel.
Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Hotel had a very nice ambiance. It was a little bit expensive and the beds were extremely uncomfortable.
It is in a good location, the staff is really friendly and the rooms are clean and functional.
Good accomomodation, close to town centre, Secure parking for motorcycle all at a very reasonable price. No record of payment when settling bill.
the owner was very kind and helpful. He provided a lot of information and made me feel at home. I wished I´d been offered a room with a balcony as I would have preferred that even if it had cost more.
Hotel is very expensive. It is not real 3 stars. May be better to book this hotel for other days. I do not know
Went on motorcycles ideal base for picos range, fantastic parking, friendly people, lovely village Missed cooked breakfast
Pretty reasonable hotel, a little basic, but perfect for visiting the National Park. Plenty of restaurants nearby. OK if you like cider.
Poor room allocation system.Poor recording of checkout and payment.Unhelpful staff.
Location is very good - just across the river from the main centre of Cangas de Onis and just behind the big free car park so easy to find.
It was very central to the town and the picos de europa were easy to get to. good parking for motor bikes. Very dated, very noise, staff not particuly helpful.
The buildings and surrounding are beautiful and it is so quiet. The luxury is not overwhelming.
Hotel is located between mountains for very nice surroundings. The addition made to the hotel was noy of great quality - needs work. Restaurant MD lacked professionalism.
historic atmosphere and peaceful lots of history very relaxing easy to get too
A lovely and relaxing hotel with a pretty courtyard, friendly staff and very good in-room breakfast. A nice combination of history and modern amenities.
Large room very comfortable. Very peaceful location. Good walks nearby. Bar/cafeteria was very good for a light meal.
Beautiful building, friendly staff, good food. Great location from which to drive further into the mountains.
the staff were extremely helpfull and friendly N/A
The hotel has an excellent location in the Picos de Europa. Very nice room and facilities.
Lovely building and nice setting The room had obviously been previously occupied by a smoker and smelt very unpleasant. Please provide no smoking rooms
Scenery and location Rooms are overpriced
The staff were very attentive friendly and accommodating. The location of the hotel and the size of the rooms was first class in fact amazing. Would have been helpful to have a pedestrian access direct from Cangas de Onis by means of stone or brick built steps. A greater choice of meals especillay for younger children would be beneficial although the quality of the meals provided was very good. Provision of a small swimming pool especially for children would be an attractive feature as would a small gym. Still you can't have everything
Excellent room with excellent heating system, space and view. Free wireless Internet in the room. Good location. Very helpful and friendly staff. Small hotel, makes you feel at home. Very calm and peaceful. The receptionist is the same person who manages the cafeteria: I often had to go to the reception when I wanted something from the cafeteria (like breakfast) or go to the cafeteria when I wanted something from the reception (room keys). Not a big problem though, however they should install an intercom system.
The receptionist was very helpful, not only with regards to our stay at the hotel but also providing information about the local area. Restricted choice of food at meal times. Partly due to our limited knowledge of Spanish but not helped by there being no written menu available [in any language] in the restaurant at breakfast or for the evening meal. Clearly the hotel does not have many English speaking visitors but we would expect a hotel of this standard to do more to overcome this.
Very modern hotel with friendly and accomodating staff.
Excellent food in the restaurant, wonderful views of the mountains of the Cordillera
The hotel holds the best view in town at the Picos. The hotel was under-staffed. Staff was friendly enough but seemed to lack professionality. There was no hot water when we first arrived. Don't stay here when you like to sleep with open windows but have problems with dogs barking through the night.
Large room, great view. The staff spoke very little English but were friendly and helpful. 10-15 minutes walk to town center. Our room was close to the terrace with insight through the windows. Breakfast is not a buffet but is served at the table.
Beatiful location and views of Los Picos in the snow Large and well appointed rooms Hotel was empty and staff and services non existant! One person run all the hotel facilities and the reception
over priced !
The lady at the reception was very friendly and welcoming. The room was big, with a wonderful view, comfortable beds and very clean. Nice bathroom as well. The bed covers are a bit old. I made a reservation for a non smoking room, however we were given a smoking one. Truth is I did not ask to change because it was only for one night.
Excellent position - edge of town and easy access to mountains. Would have appreciated a non-smoking room - slight smell of cigarettes/ possibly from other rooms?
The Hotel is in pleasant souroundings by the river, and only a short walk from the town centre, it is a pleasant place to stay in, and the Hotel staff make you feel welcome, and are very efficient and helpful. I would certailly consider staying there again. No
Staff very helpful and pleasant, good service at all hours. Attractive situation, clean and comfortable Breakfast only average for the price.
Excellent value for money.
Great location and staff Expensive breakfast
Good nice staff; good food and good location There were no negative points.
Good place to stay for a stop off when exploring the roads of the picos by motorcycle.
Staff were friendly, hotel was clean, quiet, central 6 euro per day parking in car park, air conditioning very poor, no restaurant, poor breakfast in bar, public area very limited, tiny bathroom. Not a 4 star hotel
Nice location, but a little noisy (interior rooms OK). Spatious rooms.
Staff was great Pillow. Showerhead was broken. Minor issues
It was a good experience! The room was large and confortable. The breakfast it's very reasonable.
Great location for anyone hiking in Picos de Europa, either as a first night or last night stay or for that matter for loner if you wanted to do day hikes.
Localization, breakfeast and silence
The hotel was clean If you dont want breakfast dont expect a cup of coffee from the Cafe, even with the coffee machine on you wont get one!! Staff indifferent and does NOT deserve 4 stars.
Great location, the perfect spot to start your adventure in the mountains of "Picos da Europa". Staff very nice and attendant, perfect location even to walk around the little city of Cangas. Don't miss the Cidra Bars nearby. Room too small and they have no free parking around the Hotel. The breakfast outside the hotel was awful and poor.
had a good feeling
The staff was friendly and very helpful. The use of the internet in the loby was free. Breakfast buffet was generous.
The location, wonderfull place, nice comon spaces and large rooms. Quite noisy in the early morning.
Good room in which to have our dog Half board dinner. Very limited menu and poor. Full diner menu looked fine
Good location, clean in general, not bad service. Walls are too thing, be sure you don't have noisy people next door. Food not great.
Good modern hotel, clean and well located a few km from Cangas de Onis. I spent 10 days in Spain and the food in this hotel was the worst I experienced.
comfort, welcome excellent locasl restaurants < 400 m walk nobody else there and on the last night when there was, it sounded as if the sound proofing might be lacking and irksome also high local traffic noise
Its location between the Picos de Europa mountains and the Asturian beaches. The friendliness of the staff. The dividing wall with other bedrooms was insufficiently sound insulated so that even normal conversations could be clearly heard.
It was a good expecience. The rooms are cozy and confortables. Quiet place. Improve the breakfast. Dining room should be separated from the reception.
very romantic:very nice eny one from my frends that will take a vacation in north spain i will recomand casa de campo non
Location, location, location. Superb.
Exactly as portrayed on their website - friendly staff, spotlessly clean rooms, wonderful location for exploring the area
In the centre of town - everywhere walkable Wooden bedroom floors made for horrendous and constant creaking noises. Gets you in the end just have to get out.
Hotel was nice, the room was clean and the location was good. Nice little hotel. Finding parking place was a disaster. Hotel had parking places for extra cost, but at the time you couldn't use them. Finding the hotel was at first bit problematic as the address was not very useful.
Easy access. Close to an interesting roman bridge.
Perfect location, room was comfortable, staff helpful. Everything was just perfect.
Friendly attentive service by all staff. Excellent location for those wishing to explore the Picos de Europa and surrounding area. No frills just good value and personal service.
Hotel is very close to town... only a few minutes walk and you're there. Smoking was permitted during breakfast.
Friendly and helpful staff. Even though no English was spoken by most of staff (other than Elsa) we all managed to communicate. We would use this hotel again if we are in the area.
Location was excellent It was rather noisy and parking in their facility was awkward.
It was well located on the edge of the town but not too far to walk in to find restaurants. Also had its own parking.
staff helpful We would of liked to have seen the breakfoast rolls covered in the morning, not sure how long they had been left out
good location with easy access to restaurants and tourist sights, free parking at hotel rather limited and dull breakfast consisting of a heavy 'doughy' croissant, plain bread roll, glass of juice and coffee plu portions of butter and jam
Beautiful surroundings, lots of wildlife, owls, woodpeckers etc. Very peaceful, very comfortable room, with lovely furntiture. Very friendly host.
Well located to visit Cangas de Onis and surroundings. Free parking. Breakfast is served too late (after 09:30)
The small town atmosphere!
We've been lucky to get Maria Manuela - excelent breakfast, nice building, quite location. Hotels available differ a lot in quality and location, we had room with view to the wall - very dark.
Helpfull and king staff. Poor breakfast.
Had a walk and dinner in a close by town and enjoyed the Spa for 1 hour and half. It was an excellent choice above our expectations. I think i will do all my futue bookings through Booking.com all over the world. Staff needs to be able to speak English considering the type of guests coming.
Very Clean No bar or restaurant for evening meals
The fresh looking room. No english spooken, the room was far too hot and cold not be set on a fair temperature (march !)
Friendly staff. Clean and well organised hotel. No restaurant or bar.
Loved everything about this hotel wish we had stayed longer. Receptionist very helpful and restaurant reasonable price and good food for dinner. Very cheap rate and breakfast was included Absolutley nothing
The staff was very friendly and helpful! There was a plastic cover on the mattress that made it very uncomfortable during the night: it keeps the area under the body very warm. Also, during the day, the road in front of the hotel stays quite busy and noisy...
Great location, beautiful hotel The restaurant was closed (which we were given no warning about) and there are no restaurants in close proximity
The setting was lovely and the hotel was very nice. The food in the restaurant was OK but expensive for the qulity.
Similar to staying with friends. Hotel staff very obliging and helpful, nothing too much trouble. Beautiful peaceful situation buried in the countryside. Perfect for those wanting to get away from it all with some luxury thrown in. We were rather surprised by the amount of outside lighting left on all through the night. Difficult to stop the light coming in at night, a bit light city lighting. Not very echo- and disturbing when trying to sleep. Other than that - a perfect stay. Also it accepts dogs. However in your brief on the hotel it does not specify the cost for dogs, rather it indicates that one might or might not pay. In the event I was charged 25 euros a day, which I thought excessive and queried it. The owner agreed to halve the charge.
location, friendly staff, quality food, clean air, sound of cow bells, availabilty of walks directly from hotel the difficult drive from the main road but that is not the hotel´s fault!
We stayed one night (30 July) on our way across to Galicia, but would have booked additional nights after our experience. The property has been fitted to an excellent standard and the set menu was good value for money. a pity the restaurant appeared to be under utilised by the guests. Breakfast was plentiful. Our bedroom was on the top floor with a sloping and beamed ceiling, so care was needed to avoid banging our heads. Wonderful views can be had from the skylights with the sound of cowbells ringing from the hill farm on the other side of the golf course. No air conditioning, but the skylights were adequate to cool the room. The hotel is in a secluded area so you would need to travel some way if you wanted to eat out. You need to watch out for the signs to find the hotel although the gps proved useful.
Excellent value for money, evening meal was 1st class, stunning location and the freindly staff completed our stay. Bedrooms with vaulted ceiling, although looked fantastic the height restriction was a back breaker!
Amazing location in the middle of the Asturian hills, beautiful building with all modern confort. Would highly recommend this hotel for relaxing a few days away from the city. Breakfast could be improved to match the rest of the services offered.
It is a verry peacefull hotel, rooms are nicly decorated, diner was good, breakfast is a buffet. Great view from the terrace on the mountains and golfcorse. The best hotel we stayed in during our trip. No view from your room and no airconditioning. During the night you don't need a/c but during the day it would be nice.
The staff were very friendly and helpful and the location was very, very quiet with stunning views of the Picos de Europa. It's very difficult to find - they need more signs from the nearest main road.
not much Room clean but .Poor construction led to a lot of noise from other guests with no sound insulation.. Bar/cafeteria was like a badly decorated village hall. Dining room brightly lit with bare walls -dreadful.Very unwelcoming public rooms. Unsmiling staff.Mismatched chairs at tables .Food was very poor . This is more like a hostel . Very noisy due to poor thin walls and construction ,. Guests were noisy all night and every sound was heard .. Very overpriced and poor value
Friendly reception staff; good breakfast; fine room -- very new hotel with all expected amenities None really, but because of our late arrival (15 minutes before midnight), the parking lot closest to the reception area was full and we had to unload our luggage and then park the car further away; in the morning, a horse had left its turds behind the vehicle, so it was a bit tricky avoiding getting the tires dirtied! However, the hotel did their best to provide alternate parking, I think; they should not be charging customers 3 Euros to park in their main lot, as the rates are already high enough
The hotel is really nice, surrounded by greenery. The staff is friendly. Excellent breakfast buffet. In a favorable position to reach both beaches and mountains. Ample parking.
The staff were always very friendly and the location of the hotel although slightly out of the town was still within reasonable walking distance. Safety standards in Spain are obviously different to those in England as the external fire escape was not securely fastened to the outside of the building and the fire doors opened out and subsequently blocked an escape route.
Beautiful location and views ideal for touring the Picos de Europa. Spotlessly clean bedroom and comfortable and interesting public rooms. Whilst not a problem for us be prepared to use your Spanish dictionary as no one spoke English.
The staff were helpful. We dined in the restaurant in the evening and there was no white house wine and they put unordered bread on the table and then charged us for it. The pool was too small and there was no where to change in the pool area.
Friendly staff, lovely grounds, lounge and balcony areas - so lots of places to just relax, read a book or chat.
The location was attractive. The hotel was basic but good and rooms were clean. Food, including the rather dull breakfasts, was not outstanding.
Wonderful location on the hill, great view of the mountains, nice garden with places to stay, good confort. Selection at breakfast could be larger and include traditional products.
