Pros: Homely. Great people. Very warm welcome and superbly comfortable with own veranda. Worth the bumpy road
Cons: It was all fabulous.
Pros: Very attentive hosts. Good food. Well located to Rorkes drift.
Cons: The beds.
Pros: It’s location and friendly atmosphere
Cons: Served purpose of visit so no dislikes
Pros: The remoteness but also very handy for battlefields tours and Rourkes Drift Thank you Christy, Philip and William
Cons: Be prepared to eat at the sister venue 1km away
Pros: We liked the helpfulness of owner in organising trips and trying to put right the things that were wrong
Cons: We disliked being greeted by a dog that jumped up with muddy paws making clothes dirty and pullingcthread out of my jumper. Lack of Hester in one room and extra blankets in another. Dodgy electrics and wobbly basins. Also having to drive a km for dinner and would have had to do that for breakfast if hadn’t complained.
Pros: Friendliness of our host and his wife sense of being very deep in the countryside .Home cooked food which was very tasty at modest cost
Cons: The access was horrendous, very steep and unsuitable for a regular compact saloon car, impossible to access on foot. It would have been nice to have a TV and Wi-Fi in our room and more hanging space
Pros: Friendly staff
Cons: Nothing we didn’t stay long enough.
Pros: The staff at both hotels were great. Nothing was too much trouble
Cons: Early stages for this hotel. Would be better to advise no on site restaurants you have to travel to sister hotel down the road
Pros: Very generous and welcoming hosts who made us feel very welcome.
Cons: The location was beautiful but far from a town/shops/petrol station.
Pros: We were made so welcome with nothing too much trouble. We also paid for evening meals which were both reasonable and delicious. We ate a fabulous breakfast on the terrace with wonderful views of the mountains and the swimming pool. We truly did not want to leave.
Cons: We did struggle to find the property as off a dirt track road, and maybe future directions could mention the General Store. If the store is on your left, then the property is 1km down the road on the right. If the store is on your right, you have gone past it .and need to turn round
