Observant, helpful and friendly staff. Overwhelming architecture. Hotel offers all these small complimentary services (tea and snacks in the spa, deicer for motorists, ...) which make the stay special. - American service level in the cozy heart of Lower Austria, 45 Minutes from Vienna.
The location, the design, breakfast, everything...... The swimming pool is very present.
Extremely comfortable rooms. Food was delicious and wonderfully presented. We really liked your decor, which was very chic but yet sort of 'neo-rustic' and really suited the converted-mill type of project and the village location. A perfect marriage of the old and the new. While the menu was good, it could do with being extended a bit. Maybe some game dishes for the autumn? Also, we felt at times that while the waiting staff were excellent, it was difficult for them to handle both indoor restaurant & terrace, so maybe an extra one or two staff for summer, to work solely on outdoor service?
I'd a great stay and am totally impressed by their great hospitality! They picked me up and sent me to the trian station, borrowed me a bike and even we had a farewell drink just before i left! The breakfast (and actually the food) was really good. I could even feel they wanna provide the best for their guests. The room's spacious and very clean. The bed's comfortable. very relaxing to stay there with a river just next to it. I definitely would recommend this hotel.
Extremely helpful and friendly family; wonderful experience in Austrian family. Strongly recommend.
The hotel is situated in a beautiful landscape and has wonderful peisages in the nearby. The hotel is situated too far from Wien, in the middle of nowhere and has very limited services provided.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay - Leo and his partner provided super quality of service, great and large breakfast. The rooms were clean, beds and pillows comfortable, private. Leo is very friendly and knowledgable about Ausrtia, speaks excellent English.
Very nice family run hotel in the countryside, in the middle of Austria's wine region. The landscape is very beautiful, and there are a lot of bicycle path in the surrounding hills. The stuff is very nice and helpful, the breakfast is very delicious, and you can taste a home-made jam of the house. The price is moderate compared to other hotels in the region. St. Pölten is only 30km.
Leo was very knowledgeable and helpful about local attractions. He spoke very good English which was also helpful to us..The hotel's Homemade Apricot Jam was the best I ever ate. This hotel is excellent value for the price.
During our stay at the Gasthof-Pension Leopold Janu we really enjoyed the cordiality and camaraderie of Leopold, his wife and the rest of the staff. This Gasthof is really well kept and is located in a charming surrounding. The cuisine is exquisite not to forget the copious breakfast served at your table. This is a fantastic place for daily visits of neighboring towns along the Danube. We always enjoyed discussing our daily excursions with Leopold and a glass of local Grüner Veltliner wine upon our return. We strongly recommend this place to anyone and we will return to visit Leopold when the next occasion arises.
We were really impressed with this guest house. The rooms are very cozy, clean and comfortable. Our double room had 2 bathrooms. The location is great to explore the Wachau area. Easy to find and free parking was available. There was plenty of info and brochures about things to do in the area. The place is family run and you can tell that the owners really love what they do - the service, the interior, the food were perfect. The breakfast was great - they offer home made apricot jam, we even bought some to take home. We were very glad with this guest house and will definitely recommend it to friends.
Leo and his staff were welcoming and very helpful, hospitable and had a great sense of humor! I loved this little area north of Krems near the Wachau wine area. A nice alternative to the pricey Wachau areas (Durstein, Spitz etc). Great breakfast (featuring their own apricot jam) and also we ate dinner at the Pension and had a very nice well prepared meal. The local wine was offered (very refreshing) and a simple but good variety of choices for dinner. Great salad, turkey with a lovely sauce and rice, and my husband had a wurst with dumping and sauercraut with beer. Crepes were recommended by the table across from us so we tried them and were rewarded by freshly made skillet crepes with apricot jam- delicious!
We arrived too late for meal but owner kept chef on as long as he could but we were just too late but sent us over the rode for cold platter and very cheap and very good local wine great evening. The owner could not have been nicer recommend to anybody especially value for money and aoricot jam!!! Nothing
Helpful, kind staff, quiet location Very small claustrophobic room needing renovation. Too expensive for the quality
Excellent service in the restaurant; overall, very friendly staff Room did not have a desk/table and chair for work-related matters; bathroom/shower area did not have a curtain to contain water (water eventually got everywhere).
