Pros: I can not fault this property. Room was spotless, bathroom spotless. Lovely roasting shower this morning. Jim and Liz were perfect hosts and made me feel very much at home. Beautifully cooked breakfast this morning which set me up for the day. Jim gave me good advise about places to visit before I headed to catch my flight, without this advise I would probably have been sat about airport all day. Airports only 20 minutes away also which is very handy.
Cons: Not a thing. You cannot improve on perfect.

Pros: Breakfast was excellent. The hosts, Jim and Liz were very, very friendly and lovely people. We loved the extra little features, like a bottle of ready-made blackcurrant cordial in the room, with a couple of good quality chocolates. We also thought the addition of hot chocolate as an alternative to tea and coffee in the room was fabulous. All in all an excellent find

Parkhead House - South Queensferry - Building

10.0 Excellent
Pros: This was the second time we have stayed here. James and Angela are excellent hosts nothing is too much trouble. It is set in a beautiful location and James’ breakfasts are to die for.
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Parkhead House is a real gem. It is a lovely old house situated down a country lane that makes you feel as though you are a world away from Edinburgh, even though you are quite close to both the city and the airport. The estate that the house sits on is both rural with sheep and deer, as well as bordering the Firth of Forth just to the west of the rail and road bridges. It is also very close to historic South Queensferry which has some great places to eat. If you want something different to a city hotel - but not far away from everything, then this is the perfect choice ... and on top of that, your host, who lives next door, is a great guy who is always available to help.
Cons: Remember that this is a small gorgeous farmhouse style residence with all the quirkiness that this brings, so don't expect designer style stone bathrooms and all the trappings of inner city hotels; instead expect the opposite, which is the very reason for going there.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast and location were excellent.
Cons: There could have been some soap in the bathroom, not just a tiny little bottle of wash cream.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great place conveniently located 20 min from the airport - we chose to stay here for our last night instead of having to go back to the city which was so much more relaxing after 2 weeks of driving around Scotland. James is such a nice host and we had everything we could possibly need for a comfortable stay. We loved the deer park behind the house and how we could see them from our bathroom window. Breakfast was also ready for us early, which we really appreciated!
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Scottish Hospitality at its finest!James the host was most welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable. The location was beautiful,so tranquil, with fabulous walks on which to take our dog. Parkhead House was extremely pet friendly. The view from our room was picture perfect with deer, pheasants and other wildlife close by.Our room was extremely comfortable, the beds were like sleeping on clouds, everywhere was spotlessly clean and there were well thought out little touches such as usb ports, hot water bottles, bath robes, minature Whiskey,to name but a few.In the dining room there were stocks of snack items and drinks of which you could help yourself to if needed. All was asked was a donation to charity, which was a lovely touch. The main kitchen could also be used by guests if needed. It really felt like home from home. The breakfast selection was wide and varied with all diets catered for.The Full Scottish Breakfast comes highly recommended.Although rural in its location,Parkhead House is well situated for exploring the area and all it has to offer and travelling to central Edinburgh was easy.We could not recommend Parkhead House highly enough. We both came home from our short break feeling totally refreshed.
Cons: Nothing negative at all!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything. The proprietor was very professional with a level of service exceeding that of many high quality hotels we have stayed in. If you want a high quality B&B near Edinburough we could not recommend this more highly. Probably one of the best and most professional run B&B's we have stayed in in Europe
Cons: Absolutely nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Hosts are great, location is quiet but close to many attractions. Perfect if you are an Outlander fan.

8.8 Excellent
Pros: overall the hotel was lovely, location great for direct route to many places, we walked to the train station, not to long but 95% of it all up hill, i thought i was fit but i found it challenging, a lot of stairs to go up... The view from our room was fantastic, the atmosphere in the restaurant the first couple of nights was great, it is also the bar and on the 3rd night i was glad i was not eating in the restaurant, as there were a lot of people waiting in the bar to attend a function and it was very noisy, not rowdy i might add just really loud.... the view was still stunning from the restaurant but the atmosphere was of a pub..
Cons: With the view from the restaurant it would be nice if it was just a restaurant and a separate bar else where, it doesn't have to be a massive area, but with what we paid in the restaurant i would not have been happy with the noise on the Saturday night, if you pay restaurant prices you want the atmosphere to go with it.

Pros: The funky lights..The lovely tv. Quirky little place we loved it. All self contained. Lovely landlord. So glad we booked!
Cons: Bed could be a little bigger. Fell out a couple of times. All part of the fun :)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I was here for a work trip from the US, and stayed at the Clara Lodge for 10 weeks. I can't say enough positive things about the place and the host, Mike. He's attentive and thoughtful, and the place is immaculate. Mike really goes out of his way to make your stay feel like a home away from home. He's available when you need him, but will not hover over you. He holds himself to a high standard, and it's reflected in the care and effort he puts into making his property an excellent place to stay in Dunfermline. And, speaking of Dunfermline, I can't recommend a visit to this town enough. Great people, tons of history (Birthplace of Andrew Carnegie, Resting place of King Robert the Bruce), and plenty to do, Dunfermline is a great base from which to explore Fife, Edinburgh, and really all of Scotland. If you're ever looking for a getaway, this is a truly special place!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The owner helped get our cases down to the property. The welcome on arrival and the helpfulness of the staff.
Cons: The lane and steps down to the property were quite steep, slippery in places and unlit at night. A handrail would have been appreciated.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The 1930s style décor and furnishings. Excellently sized room. Locality of town centre. Accommodating, helpful host. Attended Dunfermlin for a weekend conference where the Clara Lodge Guesthouse was within walking distance to my venue. Although weather veey wet, guesthouse was cosy and welcoming.
Cons: Nothing.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Lovely clean house, access to kitchen equipment, coffee, tea and milk supplied. We were upgraded to a better room as that room wasn’t in use. We had a big screen tv with great reception and WiFi was also a strong signal. The bathroom was immaculate and plenty of toiletries available. Best fast shower ever and plenty of hot water. Owner Mick showed us around before he returned home as the owners do not live on site, this is a shared house so you will probably see others in the property, all were friendly though.
Cons: The only negative I can think of was the location wasn’t great, a bit rough and ready. We did have a walk to the supermarket which was only 10 min walk though and there were a few pubs and shops. On street parking only but there was plenty of spaces.

Pros: I would sincerely recommend staying at the orocco pier hotel, the service was excellent, the staff were so friendly, after spending a whole day of stress travelling it was heavenly to finally relax, the room was welcoming and comfortable, and of course the most important detail of a good nights sleep? The bed... was comfortable and perfect for a good night sleep, I have stayed in many hotels over the years and I must say the orocco has become a firm favourite, from the room, the view, the staff right down to the quality of the quality of food I cannot think of one single flaw, most definitely will be returning as often as I can, thank you to the orocco pier hotel and staff for such a wonderful and welcoming stay,

Cons: The room cards didn't work one time we came back from a walk. The staff were fantastic but when my husband asked about the cards it was clear the woman at the bar was having to deal with more than her fair share. It was sorted relatively quickly despite this though.

Pros: The room was very clean with all the facilities that we required. The food (Breakfast and Dinner) was very good and very reasonably priced. The location of the hotel was excellent, right in the Town Centre.
Cons: Bit noisy outside in the early hours of Sunday morning. Party revellers! No issues with this on the next night of our stay (Sunday into Monday). No other issues.
