Pros: The house was incredible, love the decor, the garden was great l would happily return to this house. The couple who owned and ran the bed and breakfast were very friendly giving us valuable information about the area and recommend places to visit. I would highly recommend this a place to stop. I fantastic place to go if you want secure parking for your car. I was able to leave my car unlocked and the hood down.
Cons: Nothing, one small detail is ( lt would have been great to have a quality restaurant with walking distance) The were three options that were acceptable but not quantity.

Pros: Perfect hosts, huge room and bathroom, high quality decoration, oak floor, phantastic and large bed, immaculate cleanliness, excellent breakfast with nearly ten different selfmade marmalade’s and more. What can we say: just great! Got good tips re restaurants. Our favorite was in Vernon: L'estampille by Erisay, 6 Place de Paris. From Saint-Marcel you can explore the southern part of Normandy. And you can cycle along the river to Monsieur Claude Monets Garden, La Roche-Guyron etc.
Cons: Nothing.

Pros: It is easily the best B & B we have stayed in! The host and hostess were so friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was amazing and the hostess made her own preserves and there was a choice of 9 or 10 every morning with fresh fruit, nuts, cheese and ham. The hostess also knew a great deal about the area and she was able to provide very useful information. We will certainly return again.

Cons: I'd just move the house a tad nearer the restaurant so I could have ditched the car and walked to dinner. However, this is a very small (and half joking!) point.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic hosts who made us very welcome, it felt like staying with friends. Attractive surroundings & garden, comfortable and very spacious room. Fantastic breakfasts, with a daily home-made speciality by Michelle. Loved the crepes! Nearby restaurant Le Cheval Blanc is also a great find with superb food at reasonable prices & a warm welcome.
Cons: Our room was very clean on arrival. However, we were expecting a daily tidy & clean of the room: e.g. make the bed, quick clean of bathroom basin & shower & clear away used tea cups & glasses. We are clean & tidy people, and kept our room in a tidy state. However, we were disappointed not have a basic daily clean, and would expect this for the 90 euros daily rate. Sorry to say this, but it was a downside in an otherwise great service.

Cons: I checked in late because of some mistakes which I didn’t want to and didn’t do it on purpose. I said sorry and explained but I could feel they were not happy and told me if I didn’t check in in 15 minutes they will close the door at PM 10:00. Pros: Hosts are excellent. They are very kind and willing to help.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The kindness of our hosts was exceptional. The suite of two rooms and bathroom were large, comfortable and wonderfully traditional. We have two children under 6, our whole family was made to feel very welcome. The children were free to play in the large garden, on the trampoline, in the small swimming pool and drive a go cart around the old tennis court. They recommended the restaurant opposite which served superb food. We enjoyed breakfast with our hosts, which was an amazing spread of croissants and many other fresh breads served with home made jams, hot milky chocolate in bowls, cereals, fresh juice and coffee. They gave us tips on where we might visit once we reached our destination in the Loire (we has a great time at the Zoo in Beauval). The space for parking was ideal behind high locked gates. We only stayed for one night but our children wanted to stay all week! We would definately return for a stop over if travelling further south in the future. Thank you for our wonderful stay!

Pros: Beautiful location by the river; impressive very well-maintained building. The bed was very big and comfortable, room had air-conditioning and river views. There was a kettle and tea/coffee, excellent shower, all spotlessly clean and modern. The bar/restaurant is excellent, very tasty food and was obviously attracting non-residents for dinner. Parking is free, safe and there is plenty of space. While having breakfast we watched a red squirrel in the trees on the other side of the river.
Cons: The town of Pacy-sur-Eure didn't seem very interesting. The AC seemed a bit slow to get going.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful location, safe parking, good size rooms which are attractively designed, comfortable beds. When shown to my room which had been over enthusiastically cleaned and smelled strongly of cleaning fluid I was immediately allocated an upgraded room before I’d even had the chance to voice a complaint. Overview Reviews
Located in Fontaine-Sous-Jouy, Les Chambres du Bonheur is in a regional park, within a 15-minute drive of Chateau du Buisson de May and Gaillon Golf Course. Free self parking is available onsite.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location is excellent, as well as being so quiet. We enjoyed our room and all the facilities available, with a large, powerful shower, very comfortable bed and coffee machine providing the morning cuppa. A Continental breakfast was brought to us each morning of our stay, in a basket. The host and hostess welcomed us with a glass of wine in a very cheerful and helpful manner - showing us around our room and always being there to assist us with any enquiries. The bonus of its location in that local towns/cities like Evreux and Giverny (with Monet's Garden etc) are easy to drive to and from and then Paris is close enough to get to by taking a restful train journey. Weather was so good it was a bonus and allowed us an opportunity to enjoy some time to ourselves in the location's outdoor pool.
Cons: Not so much a dislike but advice to other future visitors: take some DVDs with you, to use in the room's TV during the evenings in because programmes are limited to French only. Second piece of advice is to learn some 'local' french, in order to speak with the wonderful host and hostess. Finally, it's fair to say that WiFi is intermittent, because of the surroundings, i.e. in a valley area.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very good place for relax!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Private, the room is in a separate guesthouse. Very stylishly appointed, nice bathroom. The host was very nice, offered us drinks on arrival and invited us to swim in the pool. Breakfast was good too, with fresh bread, croissants, jams and fruit salad.
Cons: Wifi worked only outside

Pros: The room was spotlessly clean. And the breakfast was excellent - fruit juice, fresh fruit, eggs and cheese, croissants and very good bread.
Cons: The bed was a bit hard.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The location is lovely and very peaceful. The hosts are friendly but leave you to your own devices which we liked. The breakfast was delicious.
Cons: The balconies are VERY close to each other so you have to be very comfortable to sit with others and in our case have them seeing in to your room.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Lovely English speaking hosts. Beautiful very well maintained mini chateau like property. Excellent & very filling breakfast. Fantastic views from an elevated position and a balcony to enjoy them from. Nice quiet & secure location.
Cons: Nothing to dislike, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. For those who like to walk from a property to countryside or restaurants etc there are probably better locations but we still took our dog for a pleasant walk before we left.

Pros: Superb location for an outstanding property! Absolutely blown away by the property, the view, the décor, and the breakfast. Couldn't ask for more! Restaurant in nearby Gravingy was recommended for an evening meal, which was very good, albeit a bit on the expensive side.
Cons: The drive up to the property is VERY steep. If you have a clutch problem with your car you might not make it!

7.1 Good
Pros: Nice location and building, in a quiet village not too far from tourist attractions in the region (Giverny, Les Andelys,...). The garden is very nice.
Cons: A bit expensive given the amenities: - The breakfast is a bit light (no fruit, no homemade juices or jams). - The bathroom could be redone (faucet needs maintenance, shower is a simple shower stall) Also: dangerous stairs in the room for young children.
7.9 Good
Pros: Breakfast was good and adequate but it would have been nice to have some fresh fruit.
Cons: Hairdryer
9.6 Excellent
Pros: I loved our stay here. We were cycling from Le Havre to Paris and used this a base for one night en route. As it was during the Tour de France, I commented that it was great to have a TV in the room as it meant we could watch that day's stage, and the owner told us we could watch it on the big TV in her living room instead. Bonus! The garden is absolutely stunning, and the owner clearly spends a lot of time maintaining it. Our room was very spacious (I thought i'd booked a double but we ended up in a triple, which was fine), clean and light and airy, with a large bathroom and nice powerful shower. There is ample storage space, and everything you need. I didn't find a hairdryer in the room, but i'm sure would have been provided with one had I asked. Breakfast was lovely, shared with other guests, and the owner is on hand to help out if you need more supplies. She has two dogs (puppies when we were there and super cute, particularly 8-week old Pasha), and they were allowed to run around in the breakfast room, which I know isn't to everyone's liking. Great coffee, cereal, yoghurt, bread, pastries and jams. Menilles is absolutely tiny, and we had to cycle into nearby Pacy-sur-Eure for any sign of life, food and drink. It's about 10 - 15 minutes by bike, less by car, so bear this in mind. There are no shops in Menilles, so you can't just walk to pick up supplies or dinner. It is beautifully quiet, as a result, so enjoy!
Cons: My only gripe would be that two of the three beds were incredibly soft and therefore I had an awful night's sleep, but the third bed (which I failed to test, damn it!) was hard and super comfy.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Super clean comfortable room with lots of character. Bed was very comfy and room was nicely decorated. Tea and coffee making making facility in room was great. Breakfast was included in price and host offered to cook eggs and bacon for us as well as the good continental breakfast provided. Welcoming host and very quiet position in small village about 20 min drive to Monet's garden at Giverny. Will stay there again.
6.7 Good
Pros: Quaint old farmhouse-most attractive. Quiet village.
Cons: Premises really nice but owner lacks attention to detail: Owner not on-site most of the time and when present was unable to sort out the tv. Owner ‘mislaid’ the eggs so none available for breakfast on day one. Dog and cat roamed the grounds at night-no problem until dog whined to be let in-owner nowhere about. Owner claimed it ‘was not cold’ so refused to light the fire in living room.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The host was very welcoming and showed us everything we needed to know. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom good. The property has been recently renovated to a high standard. Breakfast was included and as well as a continental breakfast you could have egg and bacon. A short drive to lovely restaurants, especially The Creperie.

Pros: A beautiful country cottage amongst the trees. Breakfast was brought on a tray every morning by our hostess. Croissants, fresh baguettes, jams and marmalade with coffee and tea. Perfect. Weather was a bit unreliable so we spent more time in the cottage than in the picturesque garden. Good sized bedrooms and bathrooms.
Cons: Very minor. We have a large car. Getting through the entrance gate was a little awkward until we discovered that the best way was to pass the first, actual, entrance and turn round in the one 100 yards further up the hill. Then it was much easier.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was comfort at it's best.
Cons: Nothing whatsoever.

Cons: All good for us
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly owners and homely accommodation. Would stay again.
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I love rural locations so the little village of Houlbec-Cocherel was perfect for me. Travelling as a solo motorcyclist I always appreciate the offer of getting the bike off the road - this happens most of the time in France and Aux Vieilles Pierres was no exception. The accommodation was perfect for me - two rooms plus en-suite bathroom, plenty of room to spread out. Good breakfast. If you fancy treating yourself in the evening pop down to Restaurant Le Millésime less than 10 minutes down the road.
Cons: Nothing - all good.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Nice quiet place with garden & animals
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The attention to detail in the accomodation was superb. All beautifully decorated. Lovely atmosphere and a delightful stay.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The lady who ran the place could not have been more helpful. The accommodation was a bit quirky and a tad small but full of nice touches and the bathroom was superb. Ideal for a night or two when visiting Monet's garden. Breakfast was great.
Cons: Nothing really.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Everything was as expected. Nice owners, excellent breakfast in the family-run pub, wonderful garden with pets. Very quiet place in a beautiful village.
Cons: Nothing.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The room was delightful and the owner very helpful and considerate throughout our stay. The price was reasonable given its location.
Cons: We didn’t know there was no restaurant in town so after a long very hot day of driving found we needed to drive about 7kms to a town with a restaurant. Normally not an issue for us but that particular day it was.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Nice garden , Great breakfast, good coffee, friendly staff, animals around, delicious baguette
2.9 Mediocre
Pros: Shower was good as was the breakfast baguette
Cons: Clutter and stuff everywhere so very difficult to find space for one’s own stuff. Flanalette sheets printed with stags’ heads. Mattress past its sell-by date so you rolled into the middle and bounced when turning over. Animals roaming free in the garden so no good if you’re allergic or averse to animals. Room not cleaned after 1st night. Lack of clothes hanging space. Owner was asked for details of local restaurants open on Sunday evening - the one she emailed does not open on Sundays or Mondays! Unable to get in on arrival - no bell, no knocker, rang but could only leave a message. Had to bang on door before owner let us in - showed us to garden room and told us breakfast was after 8.30 - end of any useful information. Owner was morose and certainly not helpful or charming. Wifi code was endless and only worked if you stood by the door. Is it a bedroom if there is no window? Glass door could not be locked from the inside so anyone could walk in through the unlocked garden gates and into the room - didn’t feel safe at night. Breakfast for 2 included 1 yoghurt, 1 apple, 1 mini croissant, 1 mini pain au chocolat - why ones when there are 2 of you? The description on www.booking.com is misleading - we didn’t realise it was the village bar which didn’t open either Sunday or Monday evening during our stay nor were we offered the evening meal option. Fortunately it didn’t rain otherwise we would have got wet just going to breakfast in the bar.

Pros: Me and my wife stayed two nights in Maison in Normandie in early July. The location of this place is just perfect for example if one wishes to visit Giverny. Once we arrived, Isabel was welcoming us, showed our room and introduced the details. Everything is clean and fresh. The rooms (including the breakfast room) have been decorated with good taste. Over the welcoming drinks we were delighted to learn among the other things that there is a nice restaurant at the bank of river Seine, less than 5 minutes’ walk from Maison in Normandie. We had two very enjoyable dinners there and it seemed to be very popular place among the locals - always a good sign in France and everywhere else. Breakfast was very good and healthy, all fresh and homemade. We also had a change of enjoying some Portuguese specialties which we highly appreciated. In the final day, we enjoyed the possibility of late check out that Isabel herself suggested for us. What a perfect and relaxing way of ending our holiday in France. Isabel is a fantastic, energetic, helpful and genuinely friendly lady. We really enjoyed our stay and very strongly recommend this place for the future quests.
