We were a group of 7 cyclist and the hotel was by the green cycle way from St Malo and we were going to La Baulle It was just in the right place and there were rooms for 3-5 people We enjoyed the evening meal.
Good dinner. Welcoming staff. A bit of a drag to go from Lancelot to Roi Arthur for booking in or out, for meals and all facilities.
We received good service from the staff and the hotel provided a very good location for an overnight stay during our journey to South West France.
Husband & wife team are very friendly, inviting and excellent hotel hosts. There are not a lot of hotels in Redon compared with Rennes but this one is certainly an excellent choice to stay at and better than the more expensive one we stayed in Rennes. The entrance to the carpark is wider than the Quic-en-Groigne in St Malo but should still be approached on the opposite side of the street to ensure perfect alignment during entry if you are driving anything above a Peugeot 207. Once at the back, it is quite spacious though. Redon is a very charming little town and this hotel is extremely close to the historic part of it. Room cosy enough, bed comfortable and enough space in our 1st floor room to fit 2 large road-trip suitcases (50kg :) ) Only the fact that you have to let the water run for a minute or two before the hot water kicks in. But once it does, it can get all nice and steamy which is perfect for a winter trip :)
very convenient.good parking facility
Fantastic access to restaurants and city sights. Young couple running the place were very helpful and spoke good English. Outside appearance could put you off, typical of the old french places 20 years ago. Once inside lovely.
Owners very helpful and pleasant; the lady speaks excellent English. Excellent location for seeing Redon which is very pretty. Great value for money.
Friendly helpful staff, assited 30 plus of us, most of whom could not speak French.
Central in the town, near the station (we arrived by train). Very welcoming, garage space for our bikes, five of us in our party. Very good value for money No
Friendly staff spoke good English and were very welcoming and helpful. Hotel was convenient for city and there were a good selection of local resturaunts. Off street parking was good.
The rooms are very new, squeeky clean, and beautifully decorated. The staff are very a friendly family - nice little isolated town. No restaurant! It meant a 20 k drive for supper after arriving at 1930 h . The area is quite remote - but that is one of it's charms!
The staff were very friendly amd helpful. Lovely village atmosphere with excellent restaurant close by recommended by the hotel staff. The room and hotel were beautifully decorated. We were surprised by the amount of traffic through the night for a village setting
it was convenient to Redon and the music festival the decor could be improved ie. carpet on the walls!!
Despite its somewhat off-putting location at the edge of a shopping center parking lot next to a stagnant canal, this hotel is basic but clean, safe, and comfortable. Free, safe parking at the door, wireless internet connection worked well. Several good restaurants within walking distance in this beautiful, flower-filled little town. No lift, which might be a problem if you have much luggage.
We had a comfortable night but arrived late and left quite early.The staff were very helpful;
Very pleasant staff at reception. Room left something to be desired.
Friendly efficient staff No lift
Staff very helpful and hard working. Nothing too much trouble. A lift would help.
yes... we needed to go back to our room mid morning to pick up some paperwork we had left in the room..when we got there the cleaners had cleaned our room and propped the door open with a coil of cable and left it....there were no cleaners to be found on our floor .so our possessions were left unattended with an open door
An interesting experience! Very historical, set in the middle of a fascinating and mediaeval town. Possibly more of a Creperie with rooms, even though the rooms were meant to be at the luxury end of the market. The staff were sweet and very friendly. Rather quaint in a rather rustic way. We seemed to be the only guests. We were not put into the room we had booked, but were moved to a better room, which again was not one we had booked. The room we had booked was apparently occupied although we never saw any other guests! I think a change of staff was in progress. The bed was made, but nothing else done (i.e. changing towels etc) and it was not the quietest of places, being right on the street, where traffic is allowed except between 2 pm and 7 pm - on cobbled streets. I felt the price only reflected the position of the hotel, rather than it's facilities. Unlike England, no facilities in the room (eg coffee/tea making or even a TV). Disappointed on the whole, but would imagine Americans would love it!
Loved the huge room, the wonderful view onto the main square of the town, and delicious crepes at breakfast.
For a small hotel conveniently situated near to the railway station, the asian-influenced decor of the rooms that we were allocated was quite unexpected and memorable (in a nice way!)
Family room was great with double deck bed for kids and alots of pîctures and paintings of Warber Bros cartoon heroes inside the large and spacious bedroom
