It ticked all the boxes Paying to park, the room rates are high enough to cover this
at the arival to the hotel the hotel had a different rate then it was originaly stated in my booking after sorting it out with hotel manager the rate was corrected but was at great inconvenience.
The hotel was very clean, the choice of food was good The hotel could do with 2 more lifts, there were a lot of disabled guests staying and the lifts are only large enough for 1 chair, creating a long wait for the others travelling in that party.
Leaving Value for money
Location was brilliant. Staff were generally very friendly and helpful. Be prepared to queue for breakfast in the morning.
Proximity to transport facilities
Would have liked sky tv in the room.
we order a breakfast in room, and it wasnt nice at all, i had a upset stomach after eating it...
It was nice and homely.
The bar staff were really nice The matress was a disgrace you could feel the springs through also we were wakened with banging at 7.45 from workmen in another room
Been staying at your hotel for the past five years in november and we have always had a pleasent stay, nice and relaxing atmosphere friendly staff and good food..
everything the weather
the package i booked was fab value for money and we were upgraded to a suite at no extra charge
Fantastic Staff - brilliant location Only 1 radiator worked in the suite - cold at times. Only 1 window capable of opening - rest were screwed shut!!!
staff most helpful and we were fortunate to have an upgrade of room as a result of our membership . We were at Blackpool for a show, unfortunately Restaurant did not open until 1900hrs too late for us however this is not a complaint under normal circumstances we would not eat so early.
the hotel was very nice and the staff were very freindly and helpful, there prices were reasonable, but for families it could run out a bit expensive. as for my wife and i it was okay and we would definatlet go back
Check iN was efficient One of the two rooms I booked was in an abysmal position. Having to pay for two nights when I only wanted one was also annoying. Breakfast was way too expensive as was the bar prices
Location. Oasis. Breakfast queues.
nothing the food was late and cold
A lovely hotel, we had a really nice stay.
The hotel is very stuffy and mostly for eldery people. the lounge and the bar where very quiet and did not have a relaxed atmosphere
Comfortable clean rooms, very friendly management and staff. Excellent breakfast and very good evening meals. Would stay here again and recommend to others.
The room was clean and staff were friendly Our room was very small so much so tea making facilities were left in the wardrobe.
The staff were very helpfull and friendly. Our Children felt at home. They wanted to come back next time for longer period.
Really nice, pleasant little hotel very close to the pleasure beach but off the main drag, so relatively quiet for Blackpool! The owners made us incredibly welcome and the breakfast was fantastic, lots of choice. Would definitely recommend The Corona if you're looking for somewhere pleasant to stay in Blackpool. Only one complaint...slightly hard pillows!
The Corona was a very pleasant surprise just off the main promenade in Blackpool. Friendly team, very welcoming and a clean, fresh, warm environment for couples, singles or families alike. Big thumbs up! :-)
Hotel was very clean, the hotel is updating its rooms and they are excellent. Paul and Richard were great hosts and went out of their way to make you feel comfortable. None
staff pleasant hotel very good breakfast excellent the room was clean tidy and the facilities were excellent, helped with gettin rooms together for my family appreciated this touch, would recommend this hotel for other guests
The guys who run it were very helpful and friendly; they had great advice about places to eat.
Cleanliness and friendliness just to be picky - the size of the rooms
excellent and well run hotel, facilties are up to a very good standard.the staff well trained in their duties and of a pleasant dispossition
The staff where all very friendly, very hard working and alway's helpful. The rooms and bars etc all spotless. Only a minor point that not all rooms have shower facilities with some having a btah instead.
The location is superb, the hotel is nice and clean, and the staff extremely helpful. The views from the room and from the bar are stunning. bar and kitchen closing too early in the night. but staff are really flexible and could still serve you.
friendly staff, well presented food. location was fist rate as being on seafront was a priority. would rcommend this hotel to friends and family.
Frontline staff were very good, the breakfast was stone cold one morning, and one dinner was almost inedible We had to get someone to get drinks as the bar was not always staffed,
the room was very warm that is one plus point i suppose. i am trying to think of more material to write but i am sorry i am struggling with it. to be honest as it was classed as a 4 star hotel it just didnt live up to the stars in my opinion. the lift kept breaking down the menu stated boxing day, it was clean but it was just old hat and worn out the whole place. all in all maybe it is just a good place for older people to stay as they do not seem to know anything else. the hotels computors was down they did not know we was coming and we was told there is only this rough room left. so it appears we was staying in the rough room, even the bed squeked like mad and the chairs where ripped thanks.
everthing staff ;room. and breakfast we think that may be try and do somethink about breakfast i my self queue for 10mins for bacon andegg to come then no toast so had to go back again then my breastfast was cold so may be thats is something that you may want to look at .
Poor service - insufficient staff
hotel was very good, staff were very friendly, our room was quite cold as someone kept leaving fire escape door open, but after a word at reseption we were given a fan heater to boost the temp of room, over all i would recomend the hotel to friends, thank you for an enjoyable stay nothing first class
Easy access to trams, sea view, generally quiet Breakfast was shambles at times, not enough staff, tables not cleared, long queue self service
Nothing unfortunately. Very disapointed expected much more. Noise. Room immediateley above function room in use Fri and Sat night till 1am. If advised this was the case would not have stayed at this hotel.
Clean and friendly,good food. Nothing.
The food, breakfast was lovely. The receptionists were very friendly. Nice relaxing evening entertainment The room
What a Beautiful Hotel, the staff were very friendly and professional. Good value for money.
facilities customer service was poor
The comfort and design of the room and hotel. The constant sound of emergency sirens due to the proximity with the a&e dept.
comfort and relaxing parking charges
The room was a good size and very comfortable. The hotel staff were all pleasant, welcoming and very helpful The bar was very expensive and only very small.
very friendly staff. very clean hotel parking arrangement isnt too good
I have never stayed at any hotel that has had such helpful and friendly staff
The rooms were extremely clean and a good size, staff were very friendly and polite. Excellent location on Lord Street ideal for shops and restaurants. Everything was fantastic! No complaints what so ever!
Excellent staff superb hotel . Rooms are immaculate and exceptionally clean . Will definetly book again and would recommend to anyone nothing
Modern luxurious rooms, very friendly and helpful staff especially the doormen. The bar on Saturday night was great fun and food excellent. I asked in advance for soya milk and they had it ready for me. The bar was quite loud on Saturday night and could be heard from our room on the 2nd floor.
Proximity to my family was my No 1 priority. VFM and comfort also helped.
Good value for money. I stayed for one night. It is quiet and peaceful. A bit far from Wigan. If I was staying for more than one night it won't be cost effective to use a taxi every time you leave the hotel. If you have a car it is never a problem!
Friendly duty manager Breakfast disappointing. Noisy until after midnight.
Decent sized room and comfortable bed Wifi facilities in room were too expensive
Comfortable beds, very friendly and helpful staff. Bathrooms could do with some updating.
Room was located by lifts which was a little noisy
The hotel room we stayed in was old and tired, the breakfast was a very poor offering.
relaxed atmosphere, quiet, easy access to local and regional ammenities paying extra for breakfast, the price of these rooms should have been inclusive
Clean, comfortable. Handy for town centre. Not easy to find and in a fairly unappealing location - poor lighting and condition of footpaths around hotel. Be careful if out walking!
Close to centre of town Sunday morning staff were sitting on food counters and picking at food. I could not believe it.
Vrry relaxed N/A
Thay have now upgraded the Hotel and is much better as I stey here 2/3 times a year.
Friendly staff Dont like fag burns in carpets and smelly soft furnishings.
Location of hotel for shopping and visiting family Good value for money Staff very helpful Price of bar drinks seems high and food was not value for money, No vegetables with meeal, sausage & mash was exactly that!!!! Why no veg
nothing unhelpful staff , dirty rooms , overpriced
nothing it was very run down nothing was nice breakfast was cold staff not helpful all foreign jaccuzi not working carpet was threadbear cobwebs in room ,
Price of room was a bargain Generally quite dated - could do with redecorating the rooms.
The hotel staff were very welcoming, room was lovley and warm, breakfast great the next day. The only item that I would pick up on is that the hotel could do with modernising to bring the interior a little upto date.
Moved when asked rooms were just acceptable in cleanliness terms, lots of dust and hairs in corners and on top of cupboards original room very stuffy with poor ventilation
The hotel is excellent value for money with wonderful staff. It is an old hotel and as such it has its creaking points but all these add to the charm. Slightly disappointed at the quality of the mattresses but the hotel cannot be beat for value for money.
very run down hotel
Very little actually ! The breakfast bar is the only thing that I can say was the best thing during my stay at the Prince of Wales Hotel. I did not like: The "double room" there was just enough room to move around the bed. The staff seemed unable to speak to guests. We had to ask to be served tea with breakfast instead of being asked if we wanted tea.
We loved the fact you had kept the character of the Hotel Found the rooms rather cold
Bed was small, there was plenty of space in the room for a bigger bed
The location The hotel is badly in need of complete renovation - very poor decor especially corridors. Room was very "tired". Upholstered furniture everywhere was not fit to even send to a charity shop.
The grounds outside the hotel are neglected; hanging baskets are withered; flagstones dirty and weeds sprouting up everywhere. This does nothing to enhance the building and is a let down to the staff and guests
Nothing The rull of room was dark, full of cobwebs where it hadn't been cleaned properly, the carpet was dirty, the bathroom was dirty, with bits on the floor. The towels were damp in the bathroom on our arrival. All in all you need to put a hotel inspector into the property
location (proximity to an activity), quiet room, friendly staff difficulty locking room door, instant coffee at breakfast
I liked the friendliness of the staff and I also felt a "happy atmosphere" around the place even when they appeared extremely busy during meal times. Overall I found the hotel very good value for money.
Clean, friendly staff and quiet Area, cleaning staff were inpatient well before our checkout time
Excellent service with everything! Nothing!
Leaving it! Walls were paper thin and you could hear everything in th next room. My door didnt fit the casing properly and when someone went into the next room I thought they were coming into mine at three in the morning. My daughters room faced onto the main road and she was kept awake all night by ambulance and police alarms and trafffic noise and drunks in the rooms next and above her. The rooms were supposed to be non smoking but the couple in the next room were smoking and others who smoked went outside and banged three sets of doors to get there. The place was hell.....and the next day we complained to the manager who said there was a night manager on,,No evidence of anyone around as all was closed!
Staff very friendly I thought the room was a little small/cosy and no bath.
The comfort and cleanlines and most importantly the safety of the environment. Difficult to ask questions and get any answers. I also found it extremly noisey due to its position by a busy road.
Only 2 days old everything new staff very helpful
From check in through to check out on the sunday the staff throughout the hotel were very freindly and helpfull and I have booked a further weekend break 08/08/2008 keep up the good work
Excellent value - very clean - good location No bad points
The hotel was well located for my purposes, staff were unobtrusive, room was clean with a good bathroom. Tip: ensure you get a room away from the main road. The cooked breakfast buffet set me up nicely for the day. Do not drink the coffee at breakfast, it's only distantly related to the real thing.
Hotel was everything that I would expect from Ramada. Excellent I currently stay in a former Ramada Encore hotel in Walsall with the same excellent facilities and self service breakfast at no extra cost. The only bad point would be the extra charge for breakfast.
ease of access from major roads network. Cleanliness
staff very good. nothing was a chore for them
Very helpful and friendly staff, very clean, smart-looking rooms. No refrigerator or air conditioning.
Good rooms, clean and tidy. Courteous staff. Could do with more heating in this bad weather! Cold during the night.
The room was very warm and comfortable and the buffet breakfast was more than enough too last until lunch time The television had no sky or freeview channels
the proximity to the sea front, pier, shops and numerous restaurants. The bed was a fold down one and although comfy the springs squeaked when ever you moved!
The owner was very polite and the staff very helpful. The room was well equipped and offered everything for a nights stay. The restaurant was reasonably priced with an early bird special 2 courses for £14.95. The hotel had it's own car park which is free and it's on the promenarde and very close to the theater. The room was a little small and was good for 1 nights stay but to stay longer may have been a problem, no storage space!
Good location Service was poor
It was friendly, the restaurant in particular was very good My room was a bit cramped but livable
The hotel served excellent food, with meals including breakfast being individually prepared. The free live music on Saturday night was a welcome addition.
Excellent service from the staff at the hotel, great to have car parking and a lovely warm atmosphere throughout the hotel The bathroom was a bit small
everything was really lovely
The location, the quality of the food. Overpriced and the fact that no offer was made to compensate for a flooded bathroom when the shower in the room above overflowed. It was irritating to have such a huge bed dominating the room at the expense of wardrobe or drawers. Altogether the room and bathroom were ridiculously cramped and better use could have been made of the space. There was hardly room to move around the room and this prevented our being able to fully relax when we were in it.
room small but comfortable and clean restaurant value for money
Friendliness of the staff The single room was very tiny with little space to walk around the bed or put my belongings.
We found the staff very friendly and helpful. The receptionist especially. She gave us directions tofind our way in the city and offered to ring for a taxi for us to take us to Huyton station. It arrived almost immediately. Would be nice if there were 2 easy chairs in bedrooms instead of just 1.
Staff were friendly and efficient Poor internal sound insulation meant that I was woken by the early riser in the next room. I might as well have stayed in a Travelodge and saved some money.
comfort and cleanliness of the rooms and friendly staff
the staff the food the location the tv in the reception poor picture quality
The convenience of booking online, easily accessible location, comfortable room, friendly staff, cleanliness, good food
The hotel was ideally situated for the event we were attending. Staff were extremely helpful. Breakfast was excellent We stayed at Premier inn on Friday 9th April at a cost of £29 but on Saturday 10th April the price jumped to £109. This was rather expensive condisering the amount of time we spent in the room as we were attending Grand National Event.
location, food, service
The cleanliness of the room and the general warmth and comfort of the hotel The cooked breakfast was very disappointing. It was very oily and tasted like it had all been cooked in the same pan!! It sounded far nicer on the menu than it actually was.
Room Service was disappointing - slow service, food was not as listed and expensive for the quality.
Diner was not acceptable at the price very poor.
Very comfortable hotel to stay at.
When we arrived the room given to us had no heating working, the front desk were very helpful and moved us to another room. However this also had no heating but again we were pleased the way it was handled by staff, an electric heater was installed. These things happen but it was the way it was put right that impressed us.
Very helpful staff, who were more than eager to please
Very good hotel with welcoming staff. A long walk to the room. The room was quite cold but a heater was provided on request.
Strong smell of drains in the public area, repairs were on going.
Julie (sorry if I got your name wrong!) was excellent, the best service provided! the spring matress!
Staff friendly, excellent parking off road, good public rooms, hearty English breakfast, walking distance to town centre and attractions. Lack of ventilation in the room. I.E. two very small transom windows, found it rather warm overnight. Otherwise the room was adequate for an overnight stay.
All the staff were very friendly & helpful. Good car parking & easy walk to tower & shops the cooked part of the breakfast - the worst we have had
Lovely owners, and an overall nice, clean hotel, but as I told the owners as we checked out, I could feel the springs in my mattrass and had a very bad night's sleep. If we stayed there again, I'd want to find out first if the bed in our room was going to be comfortable
(Our)Julie was great, breakfast was excellent, Parking was great
This hotel was very central and pretty cheap, the owners were lovely, very friendly and accommodating. They let me keep the car in their car park for the day even after I had checked out.
The staff were very friendly and made us very welsom, and it was in a really good location near to the Tower and all the shops. The price was very good too!
I only stayed one night as due to the season was moved to the Lawson on the second day. However what I saw was very good
Friendly staff no
the staff were very friendly and helpful. The bar was open 24 hrs with very reasonable prices. .Some of our rooms were a bit shabby.
The Hotel was excellent and the staff extremely helpful and friendly. It is very nicely decorated and the complimentary dinner we received was extremely good. The children also had a halloween party bag waiting for them in their room which was a nice touch. Car parking can be a bit of a problem, our car was blocked in by another guest and as they do not take registration numbers as part of check -in we could not locate the owner. We were taking the children to see the illuminations which was the purpose of the trip, however the helpful receptionists managed to eventually find the errant parker.
Great for the children Unfortunately our room was close to the air extractors so it was very noisey during the night. Small point but a choice of bread would have been appreaciated rather than white sliced bread.
Well appointed refurbished botique style roms, good decor, breakfast was very good Service was somewhat surley, evening meal limited choice but OK for value. Some unecessary economies e.g on ethin towel and inferior toilet paper
room was well decorated felt very cosy. good color combination there was no AC.on the room!! com'on man, three star hotels got to have AC>!!
Great food, helpfull friendly staff. Excellent seaside location. No view from room.
the entertainment and the bedroom was nice and quiet the 4 poster bed was a nice touch also this pleased my wife.
The food was good, enjoyed the atmosphere, enjoyed the sauna etc. My quests also staying at the hotel as my treat commented on the lack of biscuits on the tea tray and also maybe tissues and various complementary bathing items i.e. shower cap, shoe cleaning kit etc. But,unlike them I didn't feel this was such a big deal.
long walks on the sand
The staff were friendly and the room was clean. I was very pleased that the hotel although busy was quiet - no dreaded tag/hen parties. All in all, a pleasant stay and very convenient for access to the airport/Blackpool.
Room, recently refurbished, was too hot - it needed air conditioning, we had to turn off the plasma TV because of the heat it was generating!
Lack of parking, room was tired and small in need of refurbishment, cost was high for what you got. I have stayed in hotels all over the country and the world both for pleasure and work and can honestly say this was one of the dearest and poorest I have stayed in.
The heated pool, sauna & jacuzzi were fab. Breakfast was average, but the service in the dining room was excellent. Bedroom was ok, but the bathroom was pokey, so small in fact that you had to sit sideways on the loo because your legs would not fit in between the loo & wall! We checked in at 1.50pm (10 mins before the time on our booking confirmation) & were made to hang around in the reception area for 10 mins like naughty school children. Found the experience very unprofessional. Another thing that bothered me was the fact there was no sink in the bathroom, had to use the basin in the bedroom after using the toilet - I hope they give that handle a good clean after every visitor!
Excellent food and entertainment To many children runing about at night
The food was well presented, lots of choice and served by attentive waiters. The room we booked was a little small, so upgraded to a bigger room with a side view of the sea, which was wonderful.
Food - Quality, quantity & choice. The service was also excellent, food was at your table within minutes of ordering. Parking was a bit hit & miss. Being a week-ender all spaces taken up when I arrived, had to park on street, but this seems to apply to all hotels on the Blackpool seafront.
staff were ok hotel ok parking not ok. parking.
Room cleanliness & comfort & the fact it was so quiet & peaceful at the back of the hotel.
the hotel is of a very good standard,my wife and i have stayed there on many occasions and have yet to find any faults, heres to the next visit.
The staff were superb, from initial greeting at the door to booking out they couldn't do enough for us. The entertainment in the evening was the best I've seen at a British hotel. Excellent! Car parking is at a premium and you can't book it. Be prepared to drop off your gear and park away from the hotel.
We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay at the Fairmile. The owners were were friendly and welcoming. Our room was very well located, clean and extremely comfortable. Excellent value for money.
Friendly family hotel, excellent breakfast, great location, lovely and clean and warm. Would return again.
very friendly and helpful owners providing a good breakfast in the morning
The location was very good and the staff friendly. The breakfsat was cooked to order and that was really great. The shower was not good. It kept going hot and cold all by itself and the bathroom was very very small.
Very welcoming and friendly proprietors. Comfortable room/bed. Excellent breakfast. Great value for money. Many hotels of supposedly "higher class" could learn from standards at The Fairmile.
