At Hotel Runavík the rooms include a desk, a flat-screen TV and a private bathroom. A buffet breakfast is available each morning at the accommodation.
Pros: Good parking. Easy to find.
Cons: A bit grim and depressing - Lino on the bedroom floors, dirty windows looking out over garages.
Pros: 1) Good working desk. 2) Good lighting of working desk and room. 3) Many surfaces to place your staff. 4) Close to sea port.
Cons: 1) I didn't like the pillow, it's too soft and small. 2) A little bit noisy of my neighbour. 3) Only one hook for towels.
Pros: Clean room and convenient location
Pros: The location is great, the rooms are big and illuminated, and the breakfast is good too! I ate at the hotel’s restaurant and although a bit expensive, as everything in the Faroes, the food was excellent.
Pros: Breakfast was good.
Cons: No flexibility to change rooms. Room was not cleaned on Sunday.
Pros: I did´nt know what to expect because Runavik is not recommended by locals. But everything is fine for a short business travel. Location is perfect for my purpose and actually also for people on holiday or for other reasons having targets on more adresses as it is fairly central on the islands
Pros: Breakfast was good and of good value.
Cons: Room was cramped. Would have been better suited for one person. Not much going on in the town of Runavik and its environs. Only two restaurants available in the area.

Pros: Rent at last minute with my partner! It was better than expected, we got all cottage for ourself. Well equipped, soft bed, owner really nice.

Pros: Breakfast superb, staff helped me locate my lost luggage, excellent customer service from the staff, excellent food in the Restuarant
Pros: Nice room and fantastic breakfast
Pros: - Fantastic location - Fantastic breakfast - very professional and nice personnel - very cosy and good bed
Cons: - kind of outdated furniture and door - it was booming when the window is opened

Pros: The hotel is conveniently located in Torshavn: 5mins walk to the old town, easy to drive out of town. The room was basic but comfortable, the walls are really thin and I got woken up in the middle of the night by inconsiderate guests twice. The breakfast is nothing to call home for but gets you started for a day of exploring!
Pros: Pros: Good location (walking distance from downtown, close to a bus stop (free city bus) and the harbor). Clean room, good shower and good (pretty firm) beds. Clean dining hall (access to coffee and tea, which is not in the rooms) and decent breakfast. Very good wifi.
Cons: Cons: very thin walls so you can hear from other rooms and hallway. Traffic noise from early morning until evening. I think the winter price is fair price, I would not be willing to pay much more than that. Hate the fact that it seems to be okey for guests to smoke outside by the entrance.
Pros: Had a great stay at Hotel Streym. The room was clean and nice and I got it for a bargain deal (booking on black Friday) which was just absolutely unbeatable considering the prices at the Faroes. I have also rented a car from Streym, which was again a great deal, way better than any other rental company, I can highly recommend doing that. The breakfast is very decent and the staff is absolutely great. I hope I can come back soon!
Pros: I had mistakenly booked my room on a wrong date. When I got there and we realized the mistake they did not have a singleroom ready as I had ordered but gave me a doubble room with no extra charge. The mistake was mine but they were very helpful and my stay was nice.
Pros: Room size was ok for a single person. Breakfast was good, staff was really friendly and kind, I arrive earlier than the check in time and they managed to get my room ready earlier, there's also coffee for the guests at the reception.
Cons: My room was really dark and the window opened to a rock making it even darker; during the long rainy days in the Faroe Island, a bit more lighting in the room would be great. Torshavn is a small place but getting to the hotel in the rain can be a problem if you don't have a car.
Pros: Good heating in the room, comfortable bed. Nice breakfast (you can choose whatever you want), nice location (3 mins walk to the bus station, 10 minutes to the city center). Helpful staff.
Cons: Room is kinda old and small. Walls are very thin so you can hear your neighbor snoring.
Pros: Great shower with plenty of hot water. Good coffee throughout the day.
Pros: Breakfast was good. Continental but was nice enough
Cons: Fire exit was out of order on our corridor due to building work outside the exit door. We were not told about this.
With a stay at 62N Hotel*** - City Center, you'll be centrally located in Torshavn, just a 4-minute walk from Torshavn Cathedral and 7 minutes by foot from Logthing. Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services and laundry facilities. Guests may use a roundtrip airport shuttle for a surcharge, and free self parking is available onsite.
Cons: After 21:00, the whole 3rd floor of the hotel stank with the food cooking steam from the ground floor restaurant. There was no hairdyrer in the room, but this would be ok for 3* hotel. But the absence of a ventilator in the joint WC/shower room, come on, people, this is a must! We booked this hotel just because it was pouring rain outside and there were no other options around (I mean the whole islands). We paid 180 €. I think this is a robbery and I would not recommend anyone to stay in this hotel unless the rate is below 80 €. Simply dreadful for the money we paid.
Pros: Our room and the view were very good. We could see Torshavn's harbour in the night. Amazing. The position is also at 10 mimutes for the harbour and main bus station.
Cons: The included breakfast actually is not including espresso, cappuccino... etc For them you need to pay extra money without any discount. Never happened before and really disappointed about it. Why to pay the breakfast money if you have to pay the same just for 2 coffees?
Pros: All stuff was sooooo nice and helpful.
Cons: The rooms was to small
Pros: The hotel is basic, but well maintained, clean and new. Location was right near the harbor (about 3 short blocks). In-hotel services are minimal - your bed, a TV, a small desk and chair - the bathroom has a "wet" shower ( where the bathroom and shower are not separate, common in Scandinavia). Price for the region was quite fair.
Cons: Biggest problem - AVOID ROOM 17. Its window faces directly on the entrance to the hotel's annex, and people congregate there. You have no privacy unless you keep the curtain closed and that is a significant annoyance. If they try to give it to you, I would suggest politely requesting another room. Aside from that, small additions would make the place a lot better - a box of tissues in the room or a luggage rack for your suitcase would make a real difference with very little effort. Similarly, breakfast was very good quality, but it would be great to have mayonnaise or mustard as well as butter as a spread (and I know this is expensive in the Faroes, but cucumber or tomato would make it perfect).
Pros: Perfect. New furniture, comfortable bed, very good breakfast. Access to the guest kitchen which is perfectly equipped. Reasonable price(still a bit expensive, but it is expected in the Faroe), cheaper than other hotels of that level there.
Cons: We happened to stay there when coronavirus started to outbreak. Instead of 3 night we had no choice but stay only 2. Our booking was originally none refundable, so we aren't complaining , but because of the world wide circumstances that didn't depend on us we were hoping to get refund for the night we didn't stay.
Cons: Strong odour of sigarette smoke in the room
With a stay at Havgrím Seaside Hotel 1948 in Torshavn, you'll be a 5-minute walk from Fort Skansin and 11 minutes by foot from Torshavn Cathedral. Featured amenities include complimentary wired Internet access, multilingual staff, and luggage storage. A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge (available 24 hours), and free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Nice breakfast. Nice view. Clean room and bathroom.
Cons: The room was facing one of the main roads leading into Thorshavn. Surprisingly many cars pass by in a fast manner. This is problematic because you cant open the window due to the loud noises, and you want to open the window since the room is 25 degrees celcius warm.
Pros: Everything was perfekt!!! Hope we can come again and enjoy this beautiful hotel with the great sight!
Pros: Nice seaside location but still central to Tórshavn Nice design Good breakfast
Cons: Staff was not very friendly Tiny tiny room! For price you’re paying the value is pretty terrible, feels more like a b&b than a hotel worth hundreds of EUR a night. I’d stay somewhere else next time.
Pros: Location by the sea and to town is great. Quit and comfortable.
Pros: Breakfast was awesome! Staff was very friendly! View was exceptional. Location perfect, just 5 minutes from center, yet easy to get out of town.
Featuring free WiFi, Giljanes Hostel is situated in Sandavágur. The accommodation features a shared kitchen and a shared lounge for guests.
Pros: Is an economy option and I had luck being alone in room.
Pros: It’s always a pleasure being there!
Pros: Amazing hostel in an amazing location, very close to the bus stop. Staff member Lucy is very friendly and she tries to help with everything. If you want to cook your own food there’s all the equipment provided for you (+all the spices, oils, condiments etc.) Definitely would stay here again.
Pros: the staff is so nice!! and the livingroom is very cozy, directly out of the window is a incredible view and the both villages the hostel is between are beautiful.
Cons: the size of the rooms are very small, but for this price it is kind of luxus. :-) i`ve been in wintertime there, then it is very cheep!
Pros: The hostel itself is very clean and bright and the washing facilities are good. However we stayed in a bus outside the hostel which was not so good. The view is amazing.
Cons: The bus we stayed in was pretty grim and if I had looked before booking I would not have booked. There is a lot of rubbish in drawers, a broken TV behind one of the seats, a coffee maker with no coffee pot and really it felt like staying in someone's shed. I would not recommend the bus at all and really feel it lets the hostel down. The price at 250k/per person per night was far too expensive. We had stayed in so many lovely places at a much lower cost and much more comfort in the Faroe Island that this was a huge disappointment.
Pros: Lovely staff! Lovely cat! And most importantly lovely toilets ❤️
Cons: No kitchen roll
Pros: The place itself, the beds, the kitchen and the location
Cons: Fridges were messy /filled with old stuff
Pros: Good location, quite easy to find and close to the supermarket, bank anything u may need. From most of the rooms, u can see a magnificent view! The staff was very friendly and easy-going and this hostel has a 'free bonus' - a huge, fluffy red hostel-cat:)) The hostel is a small, but the coziest one I have ever been to! Besides. its kitchen is good-furnished. I mean different kinds of plates, glass, pans and other kitchen utensils.

Cons: breakfast is a cold breakfast, self-service. On the other hand, it is plentiful and there is food available all day.
Pros: Helpful owners. Good location near the airport with potential for pickup. No difficulty parking. Nice to have mini fridge and other facilities, and local information. Lovely views.
Cons: Initially difficult to find the road. Breakfast set out but lack of understanding of dietary needs, though good choice for those without significant restrictions.
Pros: Everything good about this place Pauline our host was very attentive and helpful
Pros: Amazing! Absolutely loved our stay in this pristine house.
Pros: Very nice shared facilities (kitchen, living room, bathroom) Very friendly owners Good parking Beautifully located
Cons: The room was rather small
Pros: The room had big windows and a wonderful direct view to the sea and the village. Also, the place is very cozy and quiet. The owners, Pauline and George are very nice as well. I would definitely come back here!
Featuring free WiFi throughout the property, Budget Guesthouse Borgustova offers accommodation in Vestmanna. Enjoy a cup of coffee while looking out at the sea or mountain. Every room has access to a shared bathroom. You can engage in various activities, such as cycling, fishing and hiking.
Pros: It was really nice and welcoming
Cons: The shower head was broken
Pros: Rustic charm of a local Faroese home, great value, all amenities, friendly and helpful proprietor.
Cons: Stairs to upper level extremely shallow in depth, can be treacherous to climb and descend for anyone with any disability.
Pros: Our room had a wonderful view over the fjord. The kitchen was well-equipped.
Cons: The house was very old, the towels and sheets were worn-out and some of them had leftover stains.
Pros: Nice location, nice wifi. Kitchen with possibility to cook and store food. Flexible with arrival time and easy to pickup key.
Cons: Parking on the street. It would have been nice if the trash from the previous guests were gone or at least some information about how to dispose of it. TV did nor have an antenna.
Pros: quiet place, there is a wash machine for the guest(no detergent, dry machine is not allowed to use) I think this is the cheapest single room in Faroe islands.
Cons: I never saw the owner, they just gave me a message after check in if you need help don't hestage...so I was wondering that all of the tap water was a bit brown then I sent a message if I can drink it or not but there was no reply.
Pros: The beds were lovely and comfortable. The apartment was very roomy. It was good to have a vestibule for wet coats and muddy boots. We were driven to the apartment on checkin.
Cons: The street light blazed in the bedroom window. Heavy curtains would be good. The only saucepan with a lid had a buckled bottom. It is a 20 minute walk from the Tourist Information office to the accommodation.
Pros: Thought it was very simple just what was needed and clean
Cons: The guy pea on the floor twice didn’t clean it up in the toilet
Pros: Nice experience with local authentic Faroe house. Room is with heater, you have all appliances.
Cons: A bit old bathroom and kitchen.

Pros: Nice location, comfortable bed and good breakfast!
Pros: I stayed at a single room with shared bathroom. Very nice and helpful hosts! Lovely breakfast, I was able to use the kitchen, got offeres helpful advice about weather, locations, events. Perfect location to discover the Faroer Islands, either by car or, as I did, by public transportation. Highly recommendable!
Pros: The home was clean and cozy, view spectacular.
Cons: I booked that room with large bed and bath tub. Somehow it was another room, the one that was cheaper in web page. So I kind of got downgraded for upgrade price.
Pros: Kind and nice lady who makes great breakfast and mske you feel very welcomed.
Pros: The cleanest place I ever visited on my multiple trips. Very friendly owners, helpfull and handy. 101% recomendation :)

With a stay at Krakureidrid in Vestmanna, you'll be 19.2 mi (30.9 km) from Sandavagur Church and 25.9 mi (41.6 km) from Torsvollur. Featured amenities include express check-in, laundry facilities, and coffee/tea in a common area.
Cons: I did not like much of this place. The owner was nice but just gave quickly the key and left (which was never the case in other places). We slept in a room closed to the kitchen and could hear all the noises. We felt like if we had the head in the oven and the feet in another room. It is uncredible how you can fit 6 rooms in such a small place. Besides, an italian couple arrived a few minutes later after us and although they tried to call the owner, it always answered: "No one under this number" or no answer at all. They had to wait in the kitchen for more than 1 hour and another couple told us the same thing arrived to other people the day before. In the small kitchen, no way to know what was intended for breakfast, so we preferred to leave in the morning without having breakfast. This is the ONLY PLACE where we were disappointed. It looks like the owner just wants to make as much money as he can, no matter if it suits the guests or not. Sorry for these comments but I would never recommend it. Maybe a little less expensive than other places, but no interest (plus the city has no charm, except for boat sightseeing).
Pros: Great hosts some friendly guests!
Cons: - Room was next to main road - Sound proofing was horrible (doors and windows) as we could hear every little noise - Some guests were very loud and made it impossible for us to sleep past 6:30am
Cons: There is no reception and you have to phone to get the keys.
Pros: Very good quality for its value
Pros: The price
Cons: Only a cash place with business contacts. Algeco concept with thin walls and maximum room in a small place. Self service breakfast with no intimity
Pros: A cute B&B on the harbour at Vestmanna. The room was big, and bed was comfortable. Good kitchen facilities. Breakfast is self serve - but plenty to eat (eggs, bread, cheese, milk, cereal). We also had to cancel our first night last minute as we got stuck on Mykines with no ferry or helicopter service available, and there was no problem with us doing this. Bathrooms are clean and there are good laundry facilities as well.
Cons: no complaints!
