This hotel has excellent facilities and is situated in very attractive grounds. As I was in a wheel-chair I was glad to have ramps and a lift available for entering and leaving the building.
A nice hotel in a nice town. I wish I had had more time to enjoy the area. I didn't use the spa this time, but I will if I ever get back to that area. The lack of air conditioning is a problem. Because of the heat, I had to open windows, which then meant that I had to listen to everything going on outside. That, and the heat, cost me a few hours of sleep. Despite that, I think it is a nice hotel, just not in the Summer.
Very clean and good quality accommodation. Nice pool, etc.
Quiet and convenient to town centre
It was central location for the Wein Fest! The carpet in the room had some stains on the floor...but overall the room was very clean.
no air conditioning in the room. Very small pillow. I've found pretty unpolite the request to see the fridge to check it...after I've already payed the bill...
The location of the hotel is great. Encourages walking!
breakfasts were very good; enjoyed the complimentary thermal baths they wanted to charge us the price of 8 euros per hour for Wi-Fi!
Very nice atmosphere. Great breakfast. I enjoyed a nice massage too
The swimming pool complex, and the massage at the Spa. Breakfast was quite good, but dinner did not have a similar quality.
Nice reception gives useful information, bathroom very good. Swimmingpool excellent (50m!). breakfast very OK. Currently there were construction works nearby (closing the windows did shut the noise out), this is a temporay problem.
Nothing The salinary is awful, the hotel is old one and the smell is bad.
The front steps literally open up right into the Winefest. Our room was surprisingly quiet with the festival going on. The door to the room seemed a bit flimsy/unsecure.
Very pleasant staff, all spoke English well. Had a mixup with the booking and the hotel comped us 2 free drinks at the bar for the inconvenience. Parking was a hastle during the Wurstmarket because the hotel is right in the center of the festival. Hotel access via car was blocked because of the festival. Would recommend other hotels outside of the main festival area.
The indoor connection to the swimming pools next door, free of charge for guests and the late opening hours of this pool. The location of the room, there are many rooms with an obstructed view of the roof of the hotel or additions of the hotel or where you've a terrible view on a parking lot and waste land. While on the other side (not for booking.com clients}, there are rooms overlooking a historical town, mountains, the park and the outdoor pool.
Nice staff No free wireless internet
This hotel is perfect for the Wine festival Werstmark. They also have a huge pool.
Closeness to the pool; the in-hotel massage- the dinners were absolutely outstanding.
We are Canadians living in Europe (for 2 years now). We have done a lot of travelling and this hotel is the best by far that we have stayed at. Well done to the staff and thank you!! Not a thing.
The room was great especially the A/C which is not generally available in hotels in the area
restaurant staff and bathroom dated fixtures and fittings, poor breakfast and no help with luggage when leaving.
exellent atmosphere, charming, really nice cut room, outstanding kitchen, home feeling
The room was large and comfortable, and the staff were extremely helpful. For the money, the bathing facilities could use a facelift. They were adequate, but not comparable to other hotels in this price range.
Hotel was comfortable, well appointed. Food was excellent
Good breakfast Lack of easy access to gardens
Friendly and the room/bathroom was clean. Only the hot meal at the restaurant in the evening was the usual thing, with exception of the buffet and breakfast wich was great. see above
close to town centre The habitual noise at night. From wedding parties in the hotel and immediate nieghbours of the hotel and their parties
Pleasent quiet location, friendly staff who directed us to excellent local Weinstube rebstockel pulsating with life just up the road when the inhouse restaurent looked underfilled!! Eat the specialities of the house and drink their white wine spritzer. It will not disapoint. Hate duvets and no separate top sheet on beds.
The overall appearance was very nice. The check-in time was 1200, the room was not ready until 1245. There was a terrible odor in the hallway. The picture on the net did not accurately reflect the room. Parking was very tight and hard to manuever and the signs indicating parking areas were insufficient.
Good breakfast but could be kept topped up better. Very good pool but a little on the cold side for non-Germans! Whilst the hotel was perfectly clean and tidy and the gardens very attractive, it lacked charm and atmosphere. It was not 'cosy'.
the staff were great and in a good location for evening walks.
Good location and very clean with good working bathroom.
Central location for a fair price. Parking in the basement for a very reasonable price. Pleasant staff.
NJice, clean hotel perfectly located near the old part of town. We visited during their wine festival and stepped out the front door into the activities.
Accomodations were an excellent valueand the staff was very helpful in locating a good restaurant nearby. The location was near the marketplace, which was a bonus. Breakfast was quite good. Excellent shower! It would have been nice to have a fan since it was rather warm. The nearby outdoor theater and street traffic made it difficult to sleep until about 0300 when the traffic died down. For these reasons, I would not recommend this hotel to my friends during warm months.
Very comfortable hotel, at the top end of 3 star. Good location, just outside the old town.
The breakfast (buffet) well presented and good. Restaurant Service very friendly.
The position and teh warmth in an unexpectedly cold snap. Reception staff at first very off hand
Reception staff were unhelpful with advice on car parking.
Nothing particular. The hotel was convenient and served its purpose of providing us with a bed for the two nights we stayed. Warm and comfortable. Good breakfast! I'm not sure we were given the superior room that we booked , but difficult to know without seing a standard room to compare, and frankly our room was perfectly acceptable and hardly expensive. Both my wife and I thought that it would have been nice to have tea/coffee making facilities in the room.
Everything! Excellent hotel, perfect location, clean, large rooms with great prices. N/A
The pool and sauna were nice. On the second day we didn't receive the eggs we asked for but made due with other items. The server was giving eggs to everyone else and forgot about us.
Front staff was really good. They are friendly. And accommodation was very good , the room has floor heating system, that is very good for relaxing. none.
Because this hotel offered everythink what I expected - location nto so far from highway, but in very quiet and nice place, underground garage, excellent stuff, good food anr las but not least wellness facility like indoor pool and sauna. Sauna was cedlared to be for use from 6.30 a.m, but morning at 7.30 was not prepared ( heated).
Nice view of gardens
location and helpful staff no
We were there during the Wurstmarkt. We faced the park so it was very quiet. They don't have roladens, so expect morning sun to wake you. The room was large by European standards. We had amazing breakfast service - the maître d' somehow managed to make sure all guests always had everything they needed.
Great location, very nice place to stay. Great breakfast. Nice sauna. no
Very friendly and helpful staff
The good breakfast, good bed, nice cocktail bar and free wi-fi. The rooms look out date
The hotel is located right next to the very small city centre and a beautiful park. The view from our room was stunning and it was very quiet at night. We had a facial and that was just outstanding service and atmosphere! I can highly recommend the wellness section (beauty farm) on the 3rd floor of the hotel. Breakfast is nice and the terrace outside is beautiful. The shower curtain in the bathroom needed a change, it was very smelly and it was unpleasant to be in the bathroom. The rooms and the hotel need some renovation, but it's still a very nice hotel. The curtains in the bedroom were not dark at all, due to the incoming sun we'd wake up very early in the morning. The pool needs some cleaning, too. All in all, the wellness section in the basement is very nice though.
Friendly welcome, pleasant walk to centre with an excellent buffet breakfast Would have expected air conditioning rather than a ceiling fan for this class of hotel.
good situation (city and park) lobby poorly designated
Great location with a very nice setting. Staff was helpful and professional. I felt the hotel was a little run down for a Steigenberger. The bottom mattress liner on my mattress was torn from the end of the frame and hanging down. There was wall paper peeling off in the bathroom. The room was clean and well made up but lacked a touch of care.
Nice hotel with a charming location in the vineyards yet still close to the town center. Great staff and wonderful breakfast, all in all it is now my number 1 hotel in Deidesheim.
A very comfortable atmosphere and excellent staff
breakfast buffee and garden room, garden outlook, bicycles,
Brilliant, a superb surprise, hotel was tucked away and tricky to find without sat-nav but great surroundings set in village location with choice of good restaurants. Staff friendly and helpful. We stayed one night as we were in transit but would have liked to have stayed longer.
The hotel is located in a typically charming little German village. We stayed only one night on our way to other places but had a chance to walk around the village and taste some of the local wine. The owner was very friendly, very accommodating and pleasant. Nobody's fault, but they were digging up the street in front of the hotel. This made for a little difficulty in finding the place. In my rusty German, I was able to speak to some local residents who directed me to the place in a roundabout way.
Charming staff was very willing to assist in helping us find our way around. New bathrooms were comfortable. The town was in the midst of wine season and a 20 min walk from the forest trails. The train station was a 10 min walk and the food in the town was very tasty. This was a great immersion in German. Grape vines and flower boxes were everywhere.
Right in the middle of the unheralded wine of palantine. friendly town people, many wine shops, several excellent restaurants. would be nice to have internet access, as well as english information.
Close to beautiful city centre I stayed on the 1st floor and could hear automatic door opening in the basement.
Bed was comfortable and a good hotel. Free wifi in the hotel which reaches most rooms. Construction that some people mentioned earlier is complete so it was nice and quiet. First room I had I couldn't get WiFi even thou the router was outside my room, the staff switched and every thing was ok. Big annoyance for business people who rely on the internet is that you constantly have to re-log into the internet ;( Breakfast to expensive and small televisions in some rooms.
room was wonderfull, view beautifull and the staff very helpfull. The breakfast room has the besy view of all.
Staff very helpful and friendly the hotel was fine, but your definition of near the railway station is different to mine
The cleanliness of the hotel! The location was always wonderful, very peaceful and quiet.
Staff was very friendly and helpful. Comfortable room which was very relaxing as you listened to the water flowing by in the stream. Food was excellent none
The hotel is small & quiet, backing up to walking/jogging paths and forest. There is a very nice courtyard area at the hotel, wonderful restaurant (English menu provided) within the hotel, and very large rooms (for a European hotel). A romantic setting and great getaway. Conveniently located for day trips around the area. Great hiking nearby at Neustadt/Lambrecth forest area. No bad points - only thing is we would have preferred a queen/king bed, rather than two twin beds together, but that is common at European hotels. We had difficulty finding the hotel, but once we got there, had no trouble finding our way back once we had some marked points to remember.
The room was clean, large and comfortable. Parking was free and onsite, which is very convenient. Free internet in the rooms. The hotel had a wedding reception there on the night of our stay. We did not have access to the restaurant or bar. Also, the music played loudly until 4am which shook our bed and made it very difficult to sleep. We would have found another hotel to stay at if we had been advised of the wedding taking over the entire hotel.
The alterations to create a modern hotel had been tastefully done. The staff members were very welcoming, which created a friendly atmosphere. Music (modern pop with lyrics) was too loud. I prefer the quiet conversation of other diners with no music. However, the choice of Mozart at breakfast was both superb and at the correct volume!
We liked that it was a charming group of buildings that could have been part of a working vineyard at one time. The cobblestone courtyard with its trees and plantings set it off beautifully. We were placed in one of the out buildings from the main hotel and it gave us a feeling of being separated So, we didn't have the friendly smiles and the casual spoken words from the staff which I missed. Also, it was necessary for us to bring in our own luggage with no assistance. The receptionist offered but I knew that her job was behind a desk and not carrying luggage so I declined her offer.
location and people no wifi in the rooms
Nice setting, good service, very clean, friendly staff Meals were too fancy and therefore too pricey. Breakfast was very good, but depended a bit as to who was on duty.
Staff very nice, wonderful breakfast
Staff! a bit hard to find - more accurately hard to find the street, once found easy to find
Staff was incredible! Recommended their restaurant- which was also amazing. Even though most of them didn't speak English, they were very kind and helpful. Only a 4 minute drive into town! They called us a Taxi because the service only spoke German...and the restaurant booked as a tour at the Mesel Vineyards....fantastic trip!
A quiet room, easy parking, friendly staff and an excellent breakfast.
Very quite location away from down town. I had no idea there were other gueats at the hotel.
Our first trip to Bad Duerkheim and this hotel was convenient and reasonably priced. We were referred to a nice restaraunt for dinner. The breakfast at the hotel was very good. The room had a nice, quiet balcony. We liked everything.
I can imagine it would be a nice place to stay in summer. We arrived at 7pm after a long drive, with many delays, to find the hotel locked and unstaffed. We picked up the keys at a local restaurant, and had no problem getting in, but the hotel felt empty and unwelcoming. In the morning we wanted to leave at 7.
Nice small hotel on edge of town surrounded by woods. Good homely restaurant.
Location and quaintness. Hotel staff were excellent n/a
Good value for money
Good and quiet location, just at the outside of the village. A good restaurant and a very good breakfast-buffet.
The hotel staff was very friendly. You could sit outside to eat dinner. Located right next to a castle that you could hike to. The watress recommended a great park, Kurpfalz-Park, it was great for young children.
