Large, spacious rooms. Beautiful grounds, pool. Excellent breakfast.
Overall its history and today's atmosphere of this castle.
The castle was in a wonderful woodland setting. Two tennis courts, nice small swimming pool/sauna and bike hire available. Rafting easily arranged by the hotel. Horse riding either in the paddock or through the woods. Fantastic food and service in the restaurant (main courses approx £8 - 14) Good breakfast selection. Ideal family location for active children. Didn't use spa facilities but seemed reasonably priced. Overall cost of facilities was very good e.g. 2 and a half hour rafting for 3 people was £65, 1 hour horse riding £25p.p. Free car parking on site. Lovely courtyard. Most staff spoke a little english and menus translated. Approx 12 km with easy access to Boleslawiec with pretty town square. The interior of the hotel (especially our room) was not furnished to a standard that you may find elsewhere or expect when entering the castle. No safe, iron, bath, adequate hairdryer, mini bar in the room. Limited design and decorative touches. Hotel advised that bathrobes for use in pool area only provided for guests in superior rooms/suites. However, the room was clean. Not much visable tourist info about activities beyond the hotel.
room for 3 adults was spacious; warm pool; nice breakfast; pretty setting; car was safe; at checkout, wouldn't accept my Visa check card!
Beautiful castle, lots of sport to do. Nice for young and older kids. Good food. You walk straight into the woods, or horseback riding (and carriage). Good food.
Excelent and quite location. Superb breakfast.
Zamek Kliczkow is a castle built in the 13th century which was remodeled around 2000. Sprawling complex with a spa and indoor pool. We were there in winter, so things were really slow and repair work was going on. The restaurant is excellent and inexpensive compared to Western European restaurants, lots of game meats and local foods. Our room was huge and had a nice bathroom. The grounds were beautiful, with tennis courts, playground, and horse stables. The staff was professional, but most people don't make a lot of eye contact or express warmth to strangers, Both reception and restaurant staff spoke English. Close to the Polish pottery town of Boleslaweic.
A beautiful castle with a lot of cosiness - and cheap. The reception offered us at arrival to upgrade to half board for extra 1,50 € per person per night. We saved a lot of money.
