Very plesent staff, very friendly N/A
Friendly atmosphere; Excellent food
The location is excellent; situated at the head of the Ceiriog Valley. we arrived very early but were made most welcome and shiown to our room desopite this. In fact, we recieved a room upgrade which was most apprecaited. The breakfast was of suoerb quality.
The breakfast was very good, the staff were very helpful. West Arms has a very friendly atmosphere.
Friendly and warm staff especially at breakfast
Warm, comfortable, atmosphere. Nothing
The whole experience was fabulous from start to finish. Log fires, comfy armchairs, superb food and staff for whom nothing was too much trouble. I'd unreservedly stay there again anytime and recommend the Hotel warmly. A wonderful opportunity to escape the bustle and relax.
Food was good - but wait for dinner was far too long (over an hour). Location very pretty and remote The room rate was far too high - i would expect boutique type standards for £150 per room per night. No return planned!! Plastic dispensers for toiletries? Please!
Helpful staff and peaceful location None
Quiet friendly Hotel and staff with no mobile phone reception! The Chef is out of this world.
Lovely hotel good food nice staff and lovely open fire in bar.breakfast good and served early for us to leave for appointmentno Nothing not to like.
Very freindly staff Room in need of re-decoration, wallpaper peeling, spa bath in poor condition.
The Hotel was Dirty & the approach to the Hotel said so, the Hotel needs updating £150 is all that it takes to update the room and make them look presentable, the Hotel needs to get rid of all the stuffed animals and money needs spending on the decor
We were able to get a family room with separate bedrooms.
very clean godd food to remote
The room we had was spacious, the view was excellent. Lots of wardrobe space and plenty of hangers! Needed re-decorating and bathroom needed a definite upgrade.Nice to meet locals in the bar and the bar food was very good. The hotel generally looked 'tired' but as I understand, the current owners have only been in for a few months, so maybe this is understandable. Restaurant food not as nice as bar food, but was more expensive! All staff very pleasant, but some very young and inexperienced. Some 'in-house training' would be useful?
The food at this place is spectacular. When people find out about this hidden gem it will go nuts. Try the restaurant.
Very pleasant hotel in picturesque area . Good breakfast and bar food . Good size car park . Comfortable rooms and good guests lounge . Would recommend for walking or relaxation break Some of the decor slightly dated .
Peace & quiet! Food was excellent! The fact that pets are allowed in all rooms! (There were dog hairs in our carpet)
It was a lovely country hotel, not commercialised, lovely intimate bar area with open fire and lovely food.
We stayed a couple of nights, arrived as strangers left as friends as we were made so welcome. It is an 18th Century Coaching Inn so it is not luxurious but everything we nedded was there. It is the village Pub and the locals are so friendly. We laughed the whole time we were there and nothing was too much trouble for our Hosts. Will definitely be going back. No
