Pros: The facility was elegant in a rustic way. The saun area was beautiful. The staff friendly and professional.
Because the place has 140 husky dogs it is an ideal place for dog lovers. We were there at summer time but at winter they offer husky safaris. That would be an amazing experience.
Cons: The facility is about 4km from the main highway at the end of a gravel road. A bit remote.

Pros: I was there for one night and it was off season so the hotel was quiet. Out my bedroom window was the riverbank lined with birch trees and the river with a dock and skid-doos available. Sauna newly renovated and good. The hotel was very comfortable and the staff helpful. Good beer in the bar where I ate dinner and a lot of menu options for dinner. Breakfast included in cost of stay. The airport is only 15 min drive and its new, small and easy to manage.
Cons: Bathroom needed some updating.
Hotel Ivalo is located on the shore of the River Ivalojoki, by the main road (E75) and to the aiport only 8 km. Peaceful location, but still short walking distance to the centre of Ivalo village. Beautiful view from restaurant to the river and wilderness. Hotel is surrounded by Northern Lapland´s wilderness and the National Park with its numerous rivers, lakes and fells.
Pros: The owners were extremely nice and helpful. Our cabin was very clean. It was nice they had cross country skiis to rent.
Cons: Having to pay to rent towels and bed sheets. In the winter, it is significant hike to get to town.
