Breakfast was not included
I was there with 3 young children. Very courteous and helpful staff. Pool was perfect for the kids. Breakfast was good, fast and reasonably priced. The hotel is clean and quiet hours were respected. We were there for a reception on the 15th floor which was also fantastic.
Our first room had blood on the walls. We then moved rooms only to be placed in a room that wasn't cleaned. When we were moved again our room was still dirty but by then we had missed our original plans we had made. We stayed in the third room. The only thing the hotel did was remove a parking charge (which feels like something that should be free for guests anyway). Upon checking out a staff person made a very inappropriate drug related joke to my partner that made us both uncomfortable. When trying to order food from the bar I enquired about the cooking oil as I have food allergies and the staff said she didn't know and refused to find out what was used. I felt very uncomfortable, unsafe and dirty the entire trip. Definitely will not be staying at the Hyatt again.
Staff were very nice. Location is excellent. Room was dusty and had finger prints in the bathroom. There was a long black hair in the bed.
Upon check-in, we were given a room that was still occupied. The following morning someone walked into our room while we were sleeping.
Very family friendly central location. Hot tub was not hot and it was 60 and raining.
Loved every moment. Staff was very welcoming. Definitely will consider staying there again. No complaints
The staff was amazing
Beautiful view!!!! hard to get regulated the hot water, thin walls, very loud and you can hear every conversations even the cell phone from all rooms no only your neighbors
Sophisticated decor, helpful staff, "beautiful people" hot spot. The noise from both the street and partiers went on until 3 a.m. Motorcycle engines revving, police called on issues in the street, shouting and yelling in the street, all echoed right up to our 7th floor room.
Decor and comfort were the best. Very trendy, great food at Grange, valet, bell boy and front desk were exceptional... with the exception of one night girl. The only staff member that " couldn't see" the LARGE ( 3 feet in length ) wine or blood or whatever stain was on my curtains in my original room. Aside from actually completing the transaction of switching my room she was not helpful. My new room keys that she gave me were only 1 out of 2 working. She didn't offer a bell cart, I had to ask. The next morning upon leaving at 5:30 and asking them to check the original room for left behind belongings- she told me " you can go check yourself I'll make you another key". AND she never alerted housekeeping for follow up with the issue. I felt like I had to do all the work for a 4 star boutique hotel in mid town. The only reason I was so displeased with that interaction was that everyone else was outstanding.
Overall friendly service. Responsive staff. Comfortable rooms.. Very unique atmosphere.. Staff forgot to address gold status(free breakfast) until I checked out. Paid for two breakfasts I didn't need to...I forgot to remind clerk at check in.. This seems to be a systematic Marriott issue.
Stayed overnight for a girls weekend. I was given a complimentary upgrade upon arrival and I was very pleased with my room as well as its amenities. Beautiful Chinese soaking tub and every toiletry you can think of. Linens were excellent quality and the bed was very comfortable. We were able to enjoy the restaurant as well for breakfast and the menu and drinks were to die for! I had a very hard time deciding what have. Fresh squeezed OJ mimosas and bloody Mary's were amazing. I can't wait to have a romantic overnight with the hubby very soon!
Made a reservation for 2 guest in a queen size room. Got there and checked in @7pm and was notified that I was upgraded to a king size room, big plus on their part! The room was cozy and comforting. It also includes a beautiful bar setup along with a wonderful street view. To be completely honest, the one thing I did not like was the shower. The rest of the room was was decorated and painted in its own style including the bathroom. But once you open the shower curtain all you see is plain, boring, tile. Both room and bathroom give off some bomb vibes, except the tile. Just kills the ambient. Other than my pity first world problem place was outstanding.
The staff was great, well trained, accommodating and helpful The room was awful! It only had 2 tiny Windows, about 1'x2'. The mattress was old and soft, we kept slidding into the middle and did not get a good nights rest.
The room was nice and clean. Nice appointments. Very comfortable. Large shower. The door on the bathroom was a slider and did not actually shut.
The restaurant downstairs was awesome
The location is nice, and the valet staff friendly and responsive. We went to a concert that night and arrived back at the hotel at 11 p..m. The restaraunt was closed, and there is no room service avaiilable after this time. The restaurants nearby become nightclubs at this hour, and there are lines to get in. We also could not access our car because valet closes. I also felt that there now needs to be a few fixes or upgrades done. Our room was clean but there was no bathroom lock it was broken...paint touch ups need to be done, and the TV remotes replaced with easier ones to use. This hotel is best for business travelors, event guests (wedding) where they don't need to leave the hotel.
Lots of issues with room - lights not working, TV issues upon arrival and "pat" answer from engineer (remote needs new battery which we knew wasn't the issue but a problem with cable company). First night dinner in "temp" restaurant horrible. Didn't charge for one meal but just no attention to detail, wrong order. Experience better when Joie property.
Excellent staff. Wonderful old and superbly renovated building. Three blocks from the Capitol. Room was small.
What an amazing historical hotel with a great downtown location. I would recommend this hotel and we'll be back.
The location Rooms to small for $147.+20 for vallet that was slow to return car. We stayed on 3rd deck, not a good choice.reception phone was loud waking us up. Last year we paid $220.00 for 4th deck, it was better, but way over priced. Next time i will try embassy suites.
I chose the Delta King because of its unique charm. I loved that it was in Old Sacramento which has cute stores, cobblestone streets, and old west buildings. As I crossed the cobblestone street and wooden platform railroad tracks to get to the boat I felt like I was going back in time. I was so excited because I love things that are off the beaten path. I loved all the charming details from the lamps to the faucet knobs, everything was antique. The room was smaller than the pictures let on but cozy. The city view stateroom pictured had a desk, which I was excited about getting work done at. My room did not. The room was very dust and I am very allergic to dust. I checked in late so I tried to make it work. I ran my finger across the phone and the bed frame and they both had a thick layer of dust. The triple lamp over the bed did as well. I didn't sleep well because of the dust. I very nicely asked if someone could dust and change the sheets due to my allergies and the man at the desk seem to take it personally. When I came back later that day, they had made the bed, but not changed the sheets, even though I had left the "change the sheets" sign on the bed. The breakfast voucher is for a very specific breakfast off of their menu. If you want something else the voucher does not apply. Though they were very nice about my egg allergy and gave me yogurt as a substitute. Since the walkways are very narrow, people walk very close to the walls and thus it is very loud. Especially on the weekend when other people are drunkenly walking around the train station. Overall I love the idea, there are just some rough edged that really bring back life in the 1940s.
We liked everything Including the complementary breakfast.
This is my second overnight stay on the Delta King. Love the atmosphere, good food, friendly staff, the price is right, and I've always slept well on the water. Fifteen years ago my family celebrated our son's eighteenth birthday with an evening at a Delta King Murder Mystery dinner.
Historic facility. Very friendly staff. Rooms were a little tight and cramped.
It was a working River Boat +70 yrs ago and has been converted to a first class hotel. Locations and ambiance are wonderful. Woke up in the morning to geese swimming outside our bedroom window, not downtown city/traffic noises! Bathroom needed some TLC work.
I stay in sacramento a lot and had always wanted to try this. The hotel was clean and the staff were friendly. I had dinner at the Bar and their complimentary breakfast, both were good. I also slept well. I would stay here again if I were to bring my son on a business trip, as I know he would enjoy the boat. Other than that, I would prefer a normal hotel in the future. The facility is a little dated. Not just the classic decor of the boat but the decor in the room etc. the room that I was in was very small as was to be expected. The boat is a little noisy - you can hear people walking out side of your room and the walls are thin. I could hear the people in the room next to me.
The photo on hotel.com was not the room I received at all. The room was extremely small and a full sized bed, not a queen. Overall it was quaint, adorable, and perfect for me. If it had been a night with my husband, I'm not sure we would fit.
Check in was efficient and the location is right in the middle of old town Sacramento. Very conveniently located to shops, dining, the new Golden 1 Center. The music at the bar was nice and seemed like a nice place to have dinner. We stayed one night to meet up with family and friends for a Kings basketball game. As expected for a river boat, the rooms are small, and I would recommend a river view room. The sound from adjacent rooms, overhead and hallway is significant which does impact your sense of privacy. The radio didn't work and only had a CD player, no mp3 or phone connectivity. Overall, our one night stay was pleasant.
Very unique stay on a restored paddle boat. The restaurant and bar were very nice and food was good. The rooms were small but comfortable. It is a boat so everything is small and tight. The ambiance was quaint and wonderful. The outside deck was very nice by the bar overlooking the river. Old Sacramento is right there with many little shops, bars and restaurants. You can walk to the Capital Mall also. There wasn't much to not like. Just be careful if you are tall like my husband. The ceilings and doors in the cabins are short. He hit his head a few times before he learned to duck! Also if you are a light sleeper being ear plugs as the train tracks are close by and the trains go through several times a night.
Apple and Chris at the front desk were wonderful. Very professional and yet warm at the same time. Top notch staff across the board!
Breakfast voucher was a nice touch.
The staff went out of their way - every one of them, day or night shift - to accommodate our requests. So very friendly and always smiling and ready to greet us at the desk, in the breakfast room, in the hallways. The free internet, unexpectedly excellent breakfast selection, microwave and refrigerator were a huge bonus. These amenities were not provided in the last couple of luxury hotels I stayed in. The bedding is luxurious. The location could not be better. The outside room doors need attention; they look shabby and worn. But they belie the comfort and appearance of the inside of the room.
Very nice customer service
The hotel it self was great. Friendly staff. I ask for a quiet room and they put me on the 3rd floor in the corner away from the street and things seemed perfect. We ended up with neighbors that not only had a young child but also many guests. They were smokers and would lounge on the deck into the late night/early morning and their voices could be heard clearly/loudly in our room. VERY disturbing. Be weary about booking here on holidays.
Very close to the new Kings arena and downtown nightlife. The room was clean and the breakfast was good.
Friendly service, shuttle, location, clean room
Perfect location, walking distance from old town people were smoking weed outside of their room, and banging their walls and disturbing us. Didn't feel safe. The rooms had a lot of dust and bathroom had mold
Despite arriving late due to delayed flights, we were received quickly, got our choice of rooms, and got to them quickly. The room was clean, a reasonable size, and remarkably quiet given the proximity to the train station and the freeway. ...at 7am one of the gardeners started a leafblower. what? The included breakfast is pretty good for what you get... it would be nice if there were some fresh fruit options for those who don't eat bread.
Overall the hotel is very clean the location is great, staff is always on the ball and friendly we stayed a extra day.. Just the bathroom fan didnt work properly.
I loved everything else but my phone won't let me rate you any better. Our heater was busted and we had to switch rooms.
Friendly staff. Clean and good wifi.
convenient walking distance to both Old Town and Downtown Sac. courteous/professional staff free shuttle to and from airport clean room comfy beds clean, well-managed breakfast room delicious, broad selection of breakfast foods easy on the pocket book minor structural problems, ex: peeling front door paint
Lots of amenities full breakfast included in price. It is a clean, older facility, located in an ideal location for Old Town Sacramento. One can walk to everything. Good value for the traveler.
Large suite. Clean. In down-town. Breakfast ok. Friendly staff. Good location (next to the river). Charging for parking was unexpected. Steep WiFi charges also unexpected when it is free in almost all hotels and coffee shops. very disappointed in this nickel and dime strategy. Especially, when they charge nearly 50% over nearest comparable hotel, this is very user unfriendly. Air-condition/heating unit made noise throughout the night. That vent could have been kept away from the bed room.
The central location and the great complimentary breakfast. The fact that they charge for their internet (for each computer connection) and I choose hotels based on internet accessibility for business.
Lots of families great continental breakfast with lots of fresh healthy choices very impressed. Pool was a lot smaller than it looks in the pictures.Super close to old Sacramento which is right across the street with train rides horse & buggy etc $30 for Parking on top of $230 a night should be free if not cheaper.... Size of pool & parking charges were steep
Easily reached. Great pillows. Fee for wifi. Air condition kept noisily turning off and on all night
The location was great! You could easily walk to Old Sacramento! Wish it would have had free breakfast! Valet parking was frequently full, but parking garage was very close.
The proximity to shopping Mall. The food and drinks in the lounge were excellent. The staff as always were in a great frame of mind and went out of their way to assist you.
Only thing about this place is the location The lady working in the front desk. She was a mood killer and just being rude. She needs to have some manners and show customer service.
Location was ideal for the Sacramento Music Festival, staff was great, facilities were great. We had a room on the 10th floor on the side of the hotel closest to the nearby freeway. Traffic noise was an issue for us at night.
Location was very good. Proximity to Old Sacramento can't be beat. Easy downtown and Capitol access. Seem like nobody is walking around looking at stuff. Lots of details that need not be overlooked. Room was tired and many things didnt fit right, lots of patches but no fixes. Ready for renovation I think. Sometime during the night the A/C stopped working. Turned room into a boiling pot. Window are an option but noise is overwhelming even 10 floors up.
This facility is located at the entry to Old Sacramento and next to the New Kings NBA arena which opens next year. Also, walking distance to the state capital, fabulous restaurants, Sutter's Fort, Crocker Art Museum, and other points of interest! Great staff! No mini fridge!
Valet and Front Desk were nice. Heard lots of people talking in the halls loudly and it smelled like smoke and I was in a non-smoking room
We enjoyed that there were so many restaurants and attractions within walking distance (ie. Old Sac and the Capitol). The employees were very accommodating. Thank you for assisting us in our downtown getaway overnight.
Location. Easy walk to plenty of restaurants and entertainment.
