10.0 Excellent
Pros: Comfy, cosy, high quality furnishings and finish throughout. Feels like place that's been renovated, and is being run with love and care. Very welcoming and accommodating to my dog. Lovely breakfast.
Cons: It was very hot weather when we stayed so had the windows open all night, which meant that we had some noise from the road in the morning. The window were double or triple glazed and seemed well sound-proofed, so under normal conditions noise would be an issue at all.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Charming, formerly an old school house, sympathetically converted to Gite accommodation.
Cons: Nothing.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Original decor Off road parking for my motorbike very close walk to an excellent bar restaurant Quality produce for breakfast Very friendly

Pros: We really enjoyed our stay with Stefan and Barbara who make a big effort to make their guests welcome. Everything we needed was provided including a wonderful homestyle breakfast The additional evening meal of traditional regional fare available was also excellent. Very helpful advice about local features to visit. Thoroughly recommended
Cons: Nothing could be better
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Great breakfast, very comfortable room, really quiet place and friendly owners. Perfect.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very comfortable, cosy with Stefan and his Wife being very accommodating. Lovely countryside house with great breakfast and local/ homemade ingredients. We ended up staying another night as we liked it so much. Oh and the donkeys, sheep and dog were nice to see :).
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hosts are very friendly and they do their best to communicate with you even if they are not speaking fluent english. We were welcomed with a glass of a very tasty juice (local product) and we were given information for the most interesting places to visit in the nature park as well as a map with full explanation of the places of interest. The room was very clean, spacious and comfortable. Our breakfast was homemade but it was composed mostly by sweet things. Despite the fact that the B&B is in a farm with donkeys, we didn't hear those beautiful creatures at all. A very nice place if you want to go for a walk in the nature. We didn(t miss anything! We highly recommend it!
Cons: We liked everything :)

9.2 Excellent
Pros: A warm welcome from the friendly and helpful host, room was spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated, excellent breakfast (with pastries, jam and yogurt all home-made).
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The location was superb The hosts were very friendly The facilities were impeccable
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hosts were so friendly and accommodating. A delicious breakfast with home made cake and yogurt and fresh fruit. Delightful.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Excellent room and good breakfast. Safe parking.
Cons: Check in procedure is extremely rigid. The host insists that you must telephone her AFTER 5pm (will not reply to texts). This gives the added problem of a language barrier as the host only speaks French. Consequently we were left waiting outside for half an hour. We eventually phoned the host and she returned to the property. The restaurants in the town which appeared on online maps were mainly closed down.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Superb breakfast with more choice than we could manage including homemade pastries and jams. Room was lovely and bathroom at top hotel standard. Easy to find using SatNav. Situated off main road so no traffic noise. Lovely garden if weather permitting.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Stayed for 2 nights. Very gracious hosts. Nothing was any trouble. Very comfortable bed in a light, airy room with new ensuite. Great breakfast with home-made treats. Plenty to see in Fourmies and near-by towns. Would definitely stay here again.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great view from a room filled with character. Had a great stay and breakfast. Thanks.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Quirky decor
Cons: Needs better signage off the main road ie: the name of the B and B would help.
8.3 Excellent
Cons: No one around when we arrived. Took a bit of time to find someone. We left before breakfast even thou we asked for breakfast at 8am. We left at 8:30am without breakfast as we couldn't find anyone. This may have been a translation issue. The room was cold when we arrived and we had to ask for the heating to be put on. It's a lovely location and tastefully decorated.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location, very comfortable and cosy. Staff really helpfull and friendly
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The bed was extremely comfortable and continental breakfast delicious, very fresh with home made jams, local cheese and apple juice. "country farmhouse" decor. Nice bar area with pool table, and lounge/hall with splendid log burner.
Cons: The hot water was very low pressure-it took ages to run a bath- and a shower was not an option, although there was a shower hose and head, there was no where to attach it to. At busy times there was not enough hot water for all rooms. Wooden floors very creaky and noisy.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Unique and pretty
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This was a great country break with my family. The rooms were comfortable and well decorated, and the lounge area had a large wood fired stove. There are horses, goats and chickens on the property and our toddler loved it. The host was very kind and accommodating. Breakfast was great and there are nice local restaurants (a short drive away). This is a very rural location, which was exactly what we were looking for. You will need a car or bike
Cons: My only criticism is that the decking was slippery when wet
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Almost everything
Cons: Even though the property was warm and cosy, there wasn't really hot water in the shower

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Excellent service and great restaurant. Rooms very comfortable.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I cannot speak more highly of this establishment. Francois is friendly and interactive and willing to go out of his way and assist, ensuring everything is ok. We had a medical emergency and the concern that François showed and the follow up phone calls, just to ensure we were ok was incredibly touching. The facilities are great, nice spacious rooms, nice dining area, lots of room for the family.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: There is plenty of car parking. The room was quite basic but very clean. We had a good evening meal in the hotel restaurant. There was a good choice for breakfast. The proprietor was extremely helpful as we needed travelling directions to visit places of interest. We thought it was value for money.
Cons: We thought maybe the towels could have been a better quality.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff v friendly and helpful
Cons: No evening meal available on the Sunday
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is delightful built in the style of US motels.room was comfortable and even had tea and coffee and a kettle. We ate in the restaurant over the road which was good food and reasonable price. Good breakfast which is in yet another building but a beautiful French house. Price was very good. Would definitely stay again. Also very quiet just out of town. About 2 hours from Calais. The owner is charming and spoke excellent English.
Cons: It didn’t worry us but there was a bit of a walk to dinner and breakfast and on a horrid wet day may not be too pleasant
Hôtel Château de la Marlière - Fourmies - Building

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely rooms, shower and set lovely grounds
Cons: Nothing
6.7 Good
Pros: Well presented Château with impeccably clean room and helpful charming staff.
Cons: The location is not pleasant and the property advert is misleading in that the gardens are small. For the price paid there were minimal facilities in the room eg no dressing gown, no hair conditioner and only a small single bin in the bathroom. Simple instructions on how to use the shower would avoid a flooded floor. We struggled to find a good restaurant nearby. We also struggled to find information on places to go walking.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A nice and calm place.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Garden was outstanding.
Cons: Unfortunately no room in the castle.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Spacious and well appointed family room with very modern bathroom. Convenient location.
Cons: no a/c but manageable with windows/fans but as not hottest day
9.2 Excellent
Pros: What a relaxing hotel! The room was comfortable and the parking and the security was excellent which allowed us to switch off. The town is pleasant and we enjoyed an evening wander. All of the staff were particularly helpful. The breakfast may seem a little pricey but the breakfast room is lovely and the range of food is good.
Cons: Coffee or tea in the room would have been nice because there was no facility in the annex we were in , lovely annex mind! Signposting maybe could be improved.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Fabulous breakfast
Cons: Bar closed on Sunday.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Totally clean. The bed was very comfortable. The room was newly equipped. The breakfast was very good.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: A stunning property decorated in a contemporary manner but still retaining the old qualities of the building. A stunning place to stay. Immaculately clean, immaculately maintained. Really friendly and helpful staff. Well away from the road, so traffic and general town noise wasn't an issue even with the windows open.
Cons: There is no restaurant at the hotel yet, although I hear there are plans for one. It didn't matter, as there are a few places in town to eat.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast great - location similarly
Cons: Quality of nearby restaurant food

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The house was a lovely original period house, made very comfortable, and located in a quiet rural village, - the setting was very pleasant, with a view of the church and garden, we enjoyed a very relaxing stay . We were very satisfied with the accomodation, and facilities, and enjoyed the breakfast, and very kindly, by arrangement we were able to enjoy an evening meal, which was prepared for us using local produce.
Cons: There was nothing that we did not like, everything was to our liking.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Charming hosts, spacious, comfortable rooms, spotlessly clean. We asked for dinner too, and it was delicious! Like breakfast, it was made with lovely, local produce. The house itself is beautiful: elegant and well appointed. It was well located for our visit to La Maison Forestière at Ors, and we found there were other places nearby to see, such as the Matisse museum, so we may well be back another time...
Cons: It was a perfect stop for us. Only the weather could have been better, but our hosts had no control over that!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly host, ample breakfast with delicious croissants, really peaceful location.
Cons: The shower wasn't too good but fine for an overnight stay.

7.9 Good
Pros: The staff and service were excellent. The room while obviously dated had everything we needed and was great value for money
Cons: The evening meal looked lovely and the dining room is lovely but the meal itself was very disappointing in terms of taste. Also on google maps there is a large lake next to the hotel but there is no access to it - not the hotels fault as they do not advertise it but worth knowing if you like to walk in hotel grounds.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful castle, calm surroundings, nice village, good restaurant
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The bed was extra long and the bedroom was almost a suite.
Cons: The decor was a little tired.

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast, location
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Locarion. Facilities. Restaurant. Breakfast. Staff.
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful setting and building. Surrounding area very nice
Cons: Flies can be a pain, mid summer. However as it's a rural location, this has to be expected.
6.3 Good
Pros: It was just a one-night stopover, so we have not tried the restaurant and did not have time to enjoy the surroundings which seemed very attractive. The bathroom was new and well appointed, the rooms were OK for an old home.
Cons: The room was not fully ready for us upon arrival, but it was quickly remedied. Our major issue was that the property hosted an all-night party and the music and yelling lasted until 4 in the morning. Needless to say, we have not slept well. We certainly overpaid for this night of hell. I would avoid staying here again, just because this is clearly a restaurant first and only marginally a hotel, thus, making it likely that our ordeal is repeated on any night without prior warning.

The landlord was very friendly, the breakfast delicious - in summary a very relaxing stay for one night. The motorbike were locked away in the landlords garage - but even parking outside would have been absolutely safe!
7.1 Good
Pros: The sympathy of the lady.
Cons: Missing details in the bathroom
7.1 Good
Pros: Breakfast was very good and all home made. The garden was pleasant. The recommended restaurant was great.
Cons: No air conditioning made the rooms very hot. With the windows open we were pestered by flies. To be expected from a rural location but a bit annoying. No card payments accepted.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Such a lovely welcome and so helpful.
Cons: Nothing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is spacious, located in an old industrial setting. Trelon has interest in its museum of glass-blowing, its chateau and access to the Route Vert Avesnois for walking and cysling. Plenty of other interest in the surrounding towns, villages and countryside.
Cons: Would have preferred better choices for breakfast . . .
9.2 Excellent
Pros: We loved the pool!
5.4 Okay
Pros: Nice room and bathroom
Cons: I specifically ordered an evening meal---either at the hotel or nearby. And confirmed that this would be available.I arrived at 8:00pm, wet, cold and hungry to br told that no food was available either at the hotel, at the nearby closed restaurant or anywhere else, This was a serious and unforgivable situation for a touring cyclist and could have caused ilness and serious fatigue!
5.0 Okay
Pros: Trelon is a small interesting place
Cons: See above
6.3 Good
Pros: Average breakfast
Cons: The room was near a church and the bells chimed every hour and half hour. We could not block out the sound of the bells as the room was so hot and didn't have any air conditioning so we had to keep the windows open. Restless night.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very large room, comfortable beds, large pool, old building with character, little park with playground and mini-golf
Cons: no airco, not as much secluded (in nature) as I hoped for, village was dead in the evening (only 1 open restaurant)
3.3 Mediocre
Pros: All I would recommend was the quiet location. Nothing else can I recommend. AVOID this hotel if you can.
Cons: On arrival, it was extremely difficult to park my motorbike. On accessing our room, we were immediately overpowered by the strong smell of sewage coming from the bathroom and permeating the entire room. My wife raised this with reception who, after making a phone call to the manager(??) then allocated us an “apartment” at the far end of the site involving carrying all our luggage AND the towels from the room as the apartment had none!!! The apartment was scruffy, dilapidated in places, and the flimsy walls made it sound like other occupants of a joining apartments were in yours! The main shower did not work, nor did the floor standing fan. Breakfast was no more than adequate with little choice available. On using the toilets in the apartment, they came close to overflowing each time they were flushed before then emptying. This is an appalling hotel in my opinion.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Room was large and clean. Off road parking for our car. Easy walking into Trelon village.
Cons: Key code for front door access was not given automatically - nor printed in room brochure Staff not always around in the early evening to ask for this information. Staff very pleasant and helpful but had very limited English. Breakfast was poor and prepared the evening before (and covered with clingfilm) no hot breakfast available. Cereals provided but only teaspoons available to eat it with

6.3 Good
Cons: They do not speak English basicly at all.
6.7 Good
Pros: The single bedroom with bathroom was OK for one night. Breakfast was good with reasonable choices. The restaurant for the hotel is about a 3 minute walk which is fine.
6.3 Good
Pros: Convenient for the place we were visiting
Cons: The restaurant for the hotel, which is located across the road, we were told was full, on arrival at the hotel (which was before 18.00 hrs.) I do feel that, as a guest of the hotel, tables should be allocated for guests. We have used the hotel before and have eaten in the restaurant, which is of very high standard.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing cottage! Jacuzzi was nice, you can really see the stars out there at night! The host was friendly and super nice showing us everything in the cottage....they didn't speak any English but it all worked out because of Google translate and both of our positive attitudes. Would definitely return in the summer!
