Reasonably priced hotel with free wifi. Convenient for Le Puy (with car). Reasonable breakfast.
Large and clean room and free wifi. The hotel is far from the downtown, but I didn't have any trouble because I had a scooter.
New - built hotel. Absence of staff of the hotel from 22 all night long and careless about the room (absence of pillow case).
Reasonable situation on the outskirts of Le Luy. Fairly quiet hotel and good value for money Our room was spoiled by dirty marks on the carpet which could probably have been removed and would have made the room look better. Lower marks for housekeeping.
A good standard overnoght hotel in a commercial district not really, we stayed overnight
It was a pity that there is not a restaurant on site. When booking we didn't realise that the only place to eat was at Auchan. It is a car journey into town for an alternative.
Especially appreciated the warm welcome and the excellent local knowledge, advice and suggestions of the receptionist. The secure parking, comfortable room.
These are very friendly people, with a high level of general welcome & service and an outstanding restaurant.
Helpful staff, good restaurant. Twenty minute walk to town centre.
We enjoyed our one night at Hotel Brivas, the staff were friendly and efficient and the manager/owner was very personable. The bed was comfortable and the room was quiet. It's only a short walk into Le Puy, but we ate in the hotel restaurant which was fine, if a little expensive.
very friendly and helpful reception . room very comfortable and clean . good free parking facilities . good buffet breakfast . 8 out of 10 there was no town map available at the hotel . quite far from the town center .
Staff was very helpful. Evening meal was fabulous. Gourmet 5 course meal with great service. Breakfast had a nice assortment and was a step above the typical French Continental of beverage, bread and jam. Not an English or American breakfast, but it was nice. If the Sauna was operating and the Whirlpool Spa was water was warm then I would have marked them Excellent. They have nice faciliites but don't really promote their use and don't keep them heated/operating.
Good location at edge of city, relatively quiet. Plenty of dedicated parking. Very good restaurant - good selection of wines & food.
the only thing that let the hotel down was the lack of air conditioning on a very hot day
The hotel was easy to find located on the edge of the town. Plainly, this is a business focused hotel providing easy walking access (max 10 mins) to the town centre with all the restaurants, shopping and facilities one might wish. The hotel was very clean, quiet and reasonably maintained and breakfast was a good quality buffet style. Good comfortable bed. The decor in the dining room was very red (ceiling, floors, chaires etc) which was a bit 'challenging' first thing in the morning but that's a very personal observation which others may not notice.
It is in a quiet area although barely 10 minutes walk into the old town. It is possible to park the car right outside and it feels very safe. The room was quite large and comfortable. The buffet breakfast was good value.
Helpful staff. Good value for money.
Location and parking None
I was very impressed that I was phoned by a member of staff prior to my arrival to check my arrival time. This helped put my mind at rest as I was running late.
All the staff were very helpful No restaurant service at weekends
Close to Centre of old city no choice of menu in restaurant
The location is close to the city centre, the staff were friendly and helpful and the hotel prices are reasonable value for money The relentlessly modern styling leads to some absurd design results, such as a fully glazed south-facing wall - with no view, but a boiling hot room as a consequence. The walk-in shower wets everything but the person in it, and the absence of ventilation on the upper level meant it remained over 30C all night.
Excellent location, warm and friendly, nodern design, convenient, elegant, very good value.
Simple and basic but lovely big rooms, nice design, spacious bathroom and nice and quiet. Friendly and helpful. Good for a basic few days. bare floors a bit cold. Lighting in bathroom and room not in the right place.
Nice staff, they even waited for us being late in the evening.
Basic hotel with few facilities but offering good value for money. Easy walking distance from city centre. On arrival, my reservation was not known to the hotel. I was very lucky that there was still one unoccupied room in the hotel that they could give to me.
Nicely located in city center, good restaurant, friendly staff, free internet access.
excellent overnight stay. Bright modern pleasant hotel with everything required.
Convenient, clean as a whistle, and a very helpful staff. Stayed there twice and thoroughly enjoyed it. I love the bread in the morning. From the history to the Loire, Le Puy is a very nice place to visit.
We used this hotel for one night only as a stop over. It is an average hotel, nothing fancy about it at all. As we were there for only the one night it was just ok but would not want to spend more time there. Reception staff were very friendly and helpful. This is a bdget hotel nothing less nothing more.
This is a very modern, clean, and well located hotel if you wish to be close to the old town section of Le Puy. The staff is very helpful and there is parking available close by for a small fee.
Near railway station and with a good restaurant. Breakfast good - real orange juice.
The room was very nice, big, light and clean. Separate toilette and nice bath! I had a nice view to the place next to the hotel, It's easy to find. The hotel has an lift and wifi on the room. The staff speaks englisch and helps to find nice spots for i.e. fotos. I checked in very early (2pm) without problems. The price of the restaurant is, even with voucher, to high., You need to pay for parking (6EUR) but the hotels parking places have no direkt connection to the hotel.
Big modern room with huge modern bathroom (separate toilet area). It was like having two bathrooms. Excellent city location, close to all the old city centre. A/C. Buffet breakfast which was included was great. Free internet in the lobby. Kid friendly. Elevator. Late check in time (17:00). Had to wait until 17:30 for our room to be ready.
Modern, clean, well-equipped, centrally located. Room was a bit over-heated.
Well positioned in the centre of Le Puy. Easy access to the old town. Availability of free tea/coffee etc in quiet corner on ground floor (but no milk). Free internet access. Parking is not on site though it is very close. It is well secured. Clearer directions are needed in hotel description. It is very difficult to find the car park without prior instructions. The attached restaurant needs to be booked in advance to ensure a table is available.
Initially the woman who ran the hotel was quite accommodating, but that soon ended. We were told we could get WIFI in the bar, so we came down at night to log on. The code did not work so we told the staff (who were running the very under-manned restaurant) who told us they were "too busy" to help us. We all waited an hour until they finally came out to answer our questions and I was told "the code is correct, it is not my fault it won't work" without them even checking the piece of paper we were given to see if it was correct. The people above our room had children who screamed and jumped up and down until midnight. In the morning, after we had told them we needed to leave by 5.45am and have breakfast at 5.30am (which was agreed) We awoke to find no one around and finally a man arrived and told us he was told 6.30am.
A fun, slightly Bohemian place to stay with a welcoming, relaxed and lively atmoshere. Beautiful location, off the beaten track. Lovingly restored old building. Good food at a reasonable price at the restaurant (both dinner and breakfast recommended). Refreshing swim in the outdoor pool (with unrestricted opening hours). The children also liked the rare facility of having playground equipment. We were able to fit our family of 2 adults and 4 (young) children into one room, which was a bonus and helped make this a very good value place to stay. No frills (eg toiletries) and the bedroom had only one high up, small window but then the price was good so not really an issue. Normally I wouldn't particularly like having a campside immediately outside but the atmosphere was great here and it didn't matter at all.
friendly people, small scale, place to stay with children, clean, correct, .... No remarks (we only stay for 2 days)
The food and the relaxed atmosphere. No toiletries in the bathroom.
the friendly owners, the rustic ambience
The friendly owners. Excellent food. Tranquility and made to feel part of the family
Freindly and easygoing, good restaurant basic room
Location and food were great. We liked the whole atmosphere as it has been done out very nicely. Quite noisy in rooms
Fantastic views of surrounding area (from outside of the building). Very peaceful. Very good evening meal but flies everywhere. No window in room expect small skylight in ceiling (especially annoying owing to the inability to see the fantastic views!) Room layout was 2 story with a steep, high ladder leading up to a balcony area where the children's 'camp' style beds were. With young children this was not ideal as the wooden stair was very steep, and the only light switch for this area was at the top of the stairs. So the children would have had to get out of bed in the dark and approach the open stair to find it. If this layout had been made clear we would not have booked this accommodation. Room, although clean, was very basic and looked very "used". Ie. It looked as if only the bare essential room maintenence had been undertaken. Shower area particularly was in need of attention (ie. A good clean of the tiles) - This cannot be excused as "Typical French rustic charm"! Dinner was made a bit of an ordeal by the number of flies in the dining area - we resorted to covering dishes with our napkins to protect it whilst eating. We refused to eat the breakfast owing to the bread, butter, jam etc. being left out on tables for guests, completely uncovered, without any consideration to the many flies (as we witnessed) sitting on it.
Excellent food, family run, very helpful and sociable. Out of the ordinary and very memorable
Lovely people who owned it and very nice location Facilities extremely basic and didn't feel very 'clean' - grubby!
