Pros: It's an ideal place for those who love nature and hiking. The view of the house is amazing and the rooms are very good and cosy. The breakfast is very good with lot's of options and the owners are delightful!
Pros: It is all that one could wish for in a chambre d'hôte. Marie and Michel are charming hosts and our room and the breakfast - especially the homemade jams were perfect.
Cons: There is nothing not to like about Le Baluchon. The access road as a little challenging but part of its charm!
Pros: Incredibly beautiful place to stay - very helpful and friendly hosts
Pros: Excellent! Wonderful hosts that were caring, obliging, generous and included us in dinner with friends. A very happy stay. Magnificent views and location.
Pros: The whole ambiance was exceptional. Easily best continental breakfast with home made conserves, local yoghourt, wonderful muesli (including gluten free) excellent variety of teas - couldnt be faulted. Upstairs sitting room, balconies to take in all amazing views, and home from home (and better) comforts, making this an exceptional chambre d'hote. The owners made us most welcome and were extremely hospitable offering welcome drinks and little easter chocolates in the evening, without being intrusive. Village is well worth a walk around, in the sunshine very pleasant, and is a pleasant walk down to with restaurant/bar worth the walk back up the hill!
Cons: As another visitor explained, the drive up to the property is steep and narrow but forewarned is forearmed, and worth that slight worry. Once at the parking it is level and well laid out. Not something to put you off visiting.
Pros: The owners were very friendly, helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The evening meal was typically French and eaten with the owners in a very convivial atmosphere. Breakfast was superb, a wide choice. The views from our bedroom of the mountain were lovely and there were plenty of terraces in which to enjoy the weather and the views.
Cons: In my opinion, there was nothing to dislike about this lovely home.
Pros: The owners were warm and friendly and provided great food and excellent company.
Pros: Delicious breakfast. Home made delights. Nice staff. Helpful recomendations. Amazing surroundings
Cons: You must drive to another village to find any open restaurant. But Bagneres de Luchon isn´t so far and it´s nice so..
Pros: Fantastic hosts. Heather & Russell, couldn't have been more welcoming. The breakfasts were delicious, with so much choice; 3 course evening meals were beautifully cooked. Our bedroom was simply furnished, but very comfortable & the en-suite shower room was spotlessly clean with good quality shower gels, etc. Bathrobes & spa slippers were provided too. The village of Sarlechan was charming & good for short walks after dinner.
Pros: A beautiful house with spacious rooms. A super pool and decking. Communal dining with other residents. Good info on walks and other activities.
Cons: The location is a bit isolated but can be seen as a gateway to numerous activities in the Greater area.
Pros: Heather is a great host, she was very nice and helpful, told us about places to visit, helped us with everything we needed(let us use her sleds , helped with our laundry and many more). There is a playroom full with toys which our boy absolutely loved. The room was big and comfortable (with a fire-truck bed for kids) and had almost panoramic view of the surrounding area. Backyard has a trampoline and a large area that lets children to let off some steam. Breakfast with lots of variety. about 30-40 minutes driving to Le Mourtis and Peyragudes ski resorts. There is a horse farm on the way to Luchon (~10 minutes) which lets children ride a pony.
Cons: Notice that wi-fi is not available in all rooms (written in the booking). The toys in the backyard are a bit outdated. It's a country area, so after 19:30 almost everything is closed.
Pros: The food was excellent
Cons: The wifi connection wasn't great
Pros: 12 of us stayed with Heather and Russel while cycling from coast to coast across the Pyrenees. The chateau was undoubtedly the best accommodation we stayed in through the week, and was a real highlight of the trip. The property itself is hugely impressive, however it was the hospitality that really set it apart and nothing was too much trouble. Heather cooked us a fantastic 3 course meal, and dealt with the vegetarians and gluten free person with no drama at all. Russel kept the wine flowing! Breakfast was also great and kept us going through another long day in the saddle.

Pros: Beautiful natural environment and friendly staff/owners.
Cons: The diner menu was a disappointment and completely overpriced for what was offered. The 'salad' was just lettuce with nothing else and was were already a bit brown. They served us burned croutons. The breakfast was a bit better but nothing special. The room was stuffy and our bathroom was two floors down, which was not convenient.
Pros: The hospitality, helpfulness and generally everything else was great!
Cons: The windows didn't open so it was a bit humid at night.

Pros: Friendly, helpful staff. I had checked out of the hotel but was doing a race in the mountains and the owner said I could use the showers after the race, which was really kind. Breakfast was available from 0600. Incredible location and my room had a mountain view.
Cons: It was pretty basic, but I knew it was going to be. My room and the shower room were cold and I couldn't turn the heating up. The walls were very thin so I could hear the other guests talking, having showers, babies crying, the tv in the bar.... until after 11pm.

Pros: Unbelievable value for money. One of the best dinners I have had in France
Pros: Good food, other guests were likeminded
Cons: Only one WC near bedrooms
Pros: Meals are outstanding as were the views. Would highly recommend a stay and an wvening meal.
Pros: We had several single beds that were like firm Japanese futons; we love those. The staff was VERY flexible, which was a surprise because you know how the French tend to be. They did not nickel and dime us with everything. They often did not require us to pay for miscellaneous items and small meals.
Cons: If you are a light sleeper, do not accept the room next to the toilet room because all the people who slam doors, walk hard, and pee standing up will definitely wake you up whenever someone uses the toilet.
Pros: As a party of motorcyclists crossing the Pyrenees this was an excellent choice to stop for the evening. The accomodation is basic but cheap and good value for money. The staff are friendly and the food is good.
Pros: What a find. We booked blind from booking.com as it was nearest to our location. On our arrival through spectacular views through the winding mountain roads we were greeted warmly and despite having no French the hosts accomodated us. The menu was small and the food was excellent. Highly recommended this venue. Lovely dog and donkeys too. Fantastic establishment.
Cons: Everything. I have nothing to recommend.
Pros: Great location, newly renovated room (it seemed). Nice breakfast, good coffee, good a la carte dinner.
Pros: The owners were welcoming, food was excellent and room clean & comfortable
Cons: Our stay had nothing we didn't like.
Pros: Dinner was amazing! One of the best meals on our entire trip across the Pyrenees. We were a bit hesitant to stay at the top of a pass (Col de Mente), meaning we had to climb 9.3km at the end of the day, but it was completely worth it. I would highly recommend staying there. The views were also fantastic.
Cons: I had booked 3 rooms (2 doubles, 1 twin) and there was a little mix up in registration, however I think it may have been a miscommunication between them and booking.com because it happened a couple of times on our trip.
Pros: Budget accommodation with a surprisingly good restaurant. Family friendly and easy going.
Cons: Lots of flies . Maybe because of the donkeys living close to the Auberge.
With a stay at L'Abri d'Arlos in Arlos, you'll be 20.2 mi (32.5 km) from Peyragudes and 8 mi (12.9 km) from Station du Mourtis. Featured amenities include luggage storage and laundry facilities. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Staff very helpful. Meal was a bonus. Very clean. Good kitchen
Cons: Rock hard bed. Felt like a campsite, which is fine, but not what we expected.
