Cons: nothing at the hotel just unfortunate not many restaurants in the town and only one open on a sunday which we were not aware of
Pros: I came for the weekend with my young daughter who just adored the pool! The staff were super friendly and helpful, the breakfast was delicious and the location, near lots of great restaurants, was brilliant.
Cons: Nothing- it was a truly superb weekend.
Pros: A hidden oasis and the proprietors were very helpful. We came on our motorbike and parked on the road, which was safe enough. Breakfast was fabulous.
Cons: No aircon or fan, although to be fair it was exceptionally hot.
Pros: Lovely charming boutique hotel. A place to stay when touring in this part of France. Delicious healthy buffet breakfast. Rooms facing a swimming pool in the garden so a place to relax and enjoy! Staff and managers treat you as guest. What else!
Cons: The hotel website as we cannot book on line. The wifi is a bit slow (as being in a small town in the countryside of France) but it was good enough to do all my professional stuff
Pros: The set up round the pool was nice, and the breakfast good.
Cons: The fact that there was no ventilation in the bedroom at night, ground floor. The room was really too small and pokey
Pros: Staff is helpful Room is small (very french style) Bathroom is clean. Breakfast is good.
Cons: The shower was not sealed from the room
Pros: Friendly staff, great breakfast, we were made very welcome!
Cons: Nothing, was all great!!
Pros: Family run with very friendly service and English speaking. The proprietor gave great advice about local attractions. I recommend the local beer stocked at the hotel. Very like a really good Belgian beer.
Pros: Staff exceptionally helpful. We arrived late after a stressful journey. A food order was phoned through for us and my children were allowed to use the pool for a minutes even though it was late. Only stayed one night so can't say much about the area or safety. But chatted to people who have returned several times. Nice little courtyards outside the rooms I would return for longer.
Cons: Parking facilities not great and not clearly marked where you can park Little noisy late evening but not the hotels fault.

Pros: Excellent evening meal with the owners, and very good value
Pros: Very welcoming hosts. Large room and very big bathroom. Lovely garden.
Cons: The room was rather dark due to having only 2 very small windows. But at least the thick walls kept it cool for sleeping after a hot day. Wifi is only available in the lounge in the main house but wasn't a problem.
Pros: Absolutely everything !!!!!! Claudine and Gerard made us feel very welcome right from the start. We booked an evening meal at short notice so we weren't sure what to expect. We not only had a fabulous 4 course meal but also a lovely relaxing evening with our hosts. They have a fantastic home and really enjoy welcoming their guests to share it.
Cons: Nothing anyone could do to improve anything at all. Everything was more than perfect as it is.
Pros: A large room within a very clean house, staff were very helpfull with a nice French style breakfast ,private parking and close to town.
Pros: Excellent hosts and location. Lovely large room, with open bathroom area and separate WC Beautiful gardens and outside area to eat and play. Evening meal was outstanding.
Cons: No air on and very hot
Pros: Situated in a group of very old and attractive stone farm buildings, very well modernised and spacious rooms, and a farm table breakfast in the main house with plenty of conversation. Evening meals looked excellent. A very comfortable bed and our room was wheelchair suitable throughout. The village nearby was very old and interesting
Cons: Need GPS to find it.
Pros: My room was very large, but still remained cosy with lots of thoughtful touches in the decoration and furnishing. It was very quiet at night so I slept very well. The proprietors were always available, and at breakfast they encouraged conversation among the guests at the table. The range of food at breakfast was extensive-and the jams particularly good.A walk around the wonderful garden started each day off well.
Cons: All excellent.
Pros: Tastefully restored historic property, extremely comfortable, good location to explore the area. Made very welcome by the owners, the only limitation being our very limited language skills, as most other guests were exclusively French speaking so we weren’t able to enter into conversation as much as we would have liked. Enjoyable evening meal (prebook). Would definitely stay here again if ever in this region again.
Cons: The only criticism is of our own language skills, certainly not of the hosts or magnificent property.
Pros: Great property, with use of carport for motorcycles
Cons: Nothing! All great.

Cons: No aircon... But It is an old chateau
Pros: Great French breakfast. Super friendly and helpful staff. Classic, large chateau. Great pool.
Cons: Very disappointed that there was no coffee / tea maker / kettle, nor fridge in the room. Of all the 6 places we stayed in 10 days in north western France, this was the only room without these facilities.
Pros: Lovely location, excellent food and the staff were helpful and friendly creating a very good atmosphere
Pros: Beautiful and spacious room in the chateau. Diner is high standard. Location is perfect and quiet.
Pros: Eating dinner on the back patio was a highlight. A beautiful place in an idyllic setting.
Pros: A historic building nicely updated with very good staff
Cons: The Restaurant was closed on a Monday night with this not being obvious when the booking was made. There wasn’t somewhere alternative to eat within walking distance.
Pros: The Château is outstanding summer or winter. Sheep roam the grounds and are extremely friendly. We woke to heavy frost on the lawn almost like snow but the rooms are very warm.
Cons: There is nothing to dislike it is breathtaking. Try a stay here. Small improvement would be tea and coffee in the room and one British tv channel

Pros: Breakfast OK, nothing special. WIFI very good. Clean.
Cons: Automatic checking via computer and phone. Without phone assistance I would not have known how to check in and get security code to front door and room. Turns out the man assisting on phone was helpful.
Pros: the rooms look bigger in the photos , however it was fine for an overnight stay, staff were delightful.
Cons: just that the room looked bigger in the photos
Pros: Good location and parking. Excellent breakfast and checkout time.
Cons: No air conditioning meant a very stuffy room although reception did give us a fan.
Cons: En-suite a little small and tight
Pros: No comment. It was fair but not good
Cons: The reason I choose this hotel was because it had a restaurant. There was no mention of minimal numbers for weekend opening. A huge disappointment and will not return.
Pros: That it was close to supermarket!
Cons: Shower very small. Room extremely hot. We bought a fan.
Pros: The proprietor and staff were exceedingly friendly and most welcoming. Thus us the second time that I gave stayed in this Hotel as a result of how much I enjoyed/appreciated my previous stay. Breakfast was copious, delicious, fresh and great variety.
Cons: Nothing! I liked every aspects of my stay.
Pros: Very clean functional hotel, comfy beds, good shower, Tea and coffee making facilities, nice little patio for a drink or b/fast, town 10mn walk away. Bar on premises, friendly staff. On main road but rooms not noisy.
Pros: There may well be worse hotels than this one, but I suspect not many! The floor of the room was dirty, the bed was the most uncomfortable we have yet experienced and although there was a kettle and tea and coffee in the room, there were no cups provided on either day, -we had to go and ask at reception for both cups and milk. The breakfast on the first day was terrible, - hardly anything left and scrambled egg and bacon provided was lukewarm and unappetising. On the second day, when we went into the dining room for breakfast, they refused to let us sit at the tables which were laid, and tried to insist that we each collect a tray, cutlery and mug, and sit at unlaid tables. Again, the food available (at 08h45) was both sparse, lukewarm and totally unappetising. We then made very clear our dissatisfaction at such atrocious service and decided to abandon taking breakfast altogether, then we paid our room bill and left immediately. We think this place is run for the convenience of the staff and not the customer and should be struck off your lists altogether.
Cons: See the above.
Located in Challans, La Maison de Brigitte Chambres d'Hotes is in a rural location, within a 10-minute drive of Challans Notre Dame Cathedral and Salle des Noues Hippodrome. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Very peaceful and quiet as La Maison de Brigitte is down a country lane just outside Challans. Very kind and welcoming hosts, lovely French breakfast in the morning. Rooms very spacious - we had a twin room for the children and a double for us with a bathroom in between. Hosts were super helpful, even with finding a good cycling route for the next leg of our journey!
Cons: They had not received the message I sent through Booking.com back in February to request an early arrival between 2 and 3pm as we were travelling by bike. Someone replied to tell me it was ok but it wasn't them! So they were expecting us a bit later on and it took a little while to gain access to the B and B as it has electronic gates. Not the fault of the owners who were lovely and it didn't cause us any trouble at all as they were at home when we arrived. But just be aware that your messages might not get through! The pool was also rather chilly but the children still enjoyed it.
Pros: Beautifully maintained with lovely decor truly a lovely property . The breakfast is something else with the owners home grown fruit
Cons: There is nothing to dislike

Cons: No toileteries, no hairdrier, no tea or coffee facilities. Blankets on bed, need to be changed to quilts.
