The restaurant was excellent.
The people at the hotel were the best part of this. Very receptive (at reception!) and nice. This hotel is really in need of a makeover of various kinds. The decor, the services "not" provided (no gym, spotty wifi, ancient elevator). The shower was awful (the bathtub was great) and the air conditioning had been turned off for the "year," even though it was quite sultry. We slept with the door open and were bitten by bugs.
Brilliant atmosphere, lovely rooms, wonderful heated pool and helpful charming staff. The Jean-Paul Hartmann experienece was fantastic. Certainly the best part of our French holiday. . Because the hotel is quite isolated I would have like the addition of a Spa, treatment unit, where massage was available. Also a small boutique shop with a few essential items like nail varnish, international newspapers maybe.

The rooms were well appointed with safe, mini bar, aircon, good bed and nice bathroom. Our suite was a good size with a nice view. The location was good with secure parking. There is a Michelin star resaurant as part of the hotel which we really wanted to try but we couldn't find any prices advertised which made us think it was probably very expensive and we didn't eat here as a result. I'm no penny pincher but 54 euros for a glass of Cognac at the bar made us think the restaurant was probably a little steep too.
Beautiful rooms & lovely atmosphere. pool & beach very pretty. Excellent staff & service. Would like an alternative eating arrangement. One does not want to eat Michelin every evening - also restaurant very expensive for eating every evening!
Calibre of hotel building, cleanliness, quality of continental breakfast. Charming setting on island in lagoon, with boats galore nearby. Restaurant, bar and room service all closed for the two days we were there. No notification of this closure. Unhelpfulness of staff in helping us find alternative eating place - sent us to a restaurant that was also closed! The road to reach the hotel was unmade and in poor condition.
The hotel was quiet and in a good location (as long as you have a car). The restaurant and breakfast were very good. The hotel is looking a bit "tired" these days and is in need of refurbishment. Our shower leaked badly, but obviously the hotel knows this and left lots of hand towels for mopping up. A pet peeve of mine: paying money to stay in a hotel, then having to clean up after each shower. Staff friendly and helpful. Cleaning floors! See above.
Nothing Very dated hotel, expensive facilities, horrendous decor
We found it to be comfortable and convenient. Very attentive staff. We booked for 1 night but actually stayed for 4 nights as we found it a nice hotel. The golf course was poor and the golf staff inefficient. We hired clubs which were about 50 years old and were badly cared for. The golf experience overall was disappointing and very expensive. We have played on some of the finest courses in the world for less money.
Basically only the position of it, the rooms were O.K. too but lacked facilities The staff were not very helpful, there was not a service around the poolside for drinks and snacks etc. The waiting staff in the Eagles restaurant for luch time food were downright rude and ignorant. We would not stay there again.

Nice pool, good location close to beach, but too far from town centre and bars/restaurants etc. Food in restaurant not great, limited choice and expensive small rooms, poor view, not the best for more than 1 night
We stayed at the hotel in late November - very much 'off season'. Although the web page boasted a choice of 3 restaurants, none were open in the evening and the bar was also closed. The hotel is away from the town so there was nowhere local to walk to.
The owners Sophie and Alain are probably the best hosts I've ever met out of the hundreds of hotels I've stayed at. They went above and beyond to assist us with all our travel issues (unrelated to the hotel itself) and made us feel like home. Room was not very big (the huge bed was probably 75% of the room) but probably pretty standard for France.

Nice basic hotel, clean & beds are comfortable. T.v with English channels. Good budget hotel for someone who will not be spending much time in room and just needs somewhere to sleep. On-site parking with no additional charge.
nothing At first we was try find this hotel about 2 h Direction is wrong. Very small room and bathroom It is smaller then on sailing yacht. In water was too much chlor smelling everywhere. Very noisy. This night was terrible.
That the security agent was king enough to help us out with the code of the door that didn't work. That it didn't have someone at the reception 24/7.
Beautiful location, exceptionally clean appearance, easy to find, realaxed atmosphere. Both a buffet dinner and an an a la carte menu were displayed outside of the dining room for a 7.30 p.m. start. We waited until the start time only to find out that the a la carte menu was not being offered. We only wanted a small meal and after having a drink at the bar, a drive downtown was not an option. The walk was a long way.
Idealy placed enroute to Spain. Affordable,Comfortable. To be highly recomended Limited directions but found easily by downloading the TomTom app for Buffallow Grills as one is ideally placed opposite.
The suite we were upgraded to was spacious, nicely decorated and very clean. Good location, nice pool and jacuzzi. Two thumbs up. We arrived late afternoon and needed some basic supplies - wine, bottled water, light snacks, cheese, bread or crackers, etc. The desk clerk told us that because it was late Sunday afternoon there was nowhere to buy anything. We decided to go for a ride into town and found enough places open to buy what we needed - including the main supermarket. She really put zero thought into how to help us solve our problem. On the other hand, we found most service employees in France to lack much interest in providing good customer service or taking any initiative. Just cultural I guess.

We enjoyed the stay , very nice breakfast. The images of the facilities on the web-site were slightly exaggerated- it was not as deluxe as it appeared.There was a shortage of toilet roll.

Nice pool and spa. The view was beautiful. I didn't like the fact that the hotel immediately charges your card for the entire reservation upon making the reservation and that all charges are placed on the account of the person who made the reservation regardless of the number of people in your group.

The view, breakfasts and the pool. The staff were also very helpful. We asked for a double but got two singles put together which is not the best. I liked the view in the room so I did not want to risk another room with a lesser view.
Checked in at 10PM and ate at Ledo. Went to room and young people all over-hanging out and running around. Cleaning staff all over-talking. Room dirty. Went to bed @11PM and pounding on door next to us and couple screaming and fighting and child crying. After 15 minutes of this, we pack up and go to desk. Wait 20 minutes and nobody comes. Go back to room and leave first thing in AM.
The Holiday Inn in Downtown Wilmington should be ashamed of itself. First of all, the hotel was completely misrepresented on the internet. The lobby, the halls, and the room were drab and not clean. The cleaning staff's equipment was present in the halls all throughout the day and night of our stay, but I do not think they were utilized on the rooms. The pool and hot tub were not heated. The staff was unprofessional and not courteous. The only positive thing I can write about this hotel is its proximity to Colonial Williamsburg and Busch Gardens.
HOUSEKEEPING: Lack of towels-No dusting/sweeping-Lack of Amedities. Door left ajar a couple of times after maid service. No HBO schedule for July.SERVICES: Elevator works only 5 of 7 days-Lobby's complimentary coffee only get filled once in the morning!-One ice machine of three works 30% of the time. One room got flooded and ran into the indoor pool (where did the water come from?
Not the Holiday Inn quality we are used to. Several things broken...elevator, spa heater, ice machine. Pool and spa water very dirty (cloudy and green). Coffee maker was only 1 cup at a time, no fridge (had to use a trash can as a cooler). AC stuck on low. Had to ask the front desk 3 times for pool towels, took over an hour.
I don't know where to begin. Staff was below average. The pool was very dirty, the water was green,cloudy and it smelled. The building is in serious need of repairs. On the upper floors their are stairs in the hall making moving your luggage quit a choir. We could not find a luggage cart. Some of the rooms side on the indoor pool and can be very loud. The windows did not close all the way in the room. House cleaning were cleaning rooms all hour of the night and day. Just don't stay there.
my widows faced the indoor pool, that was packed with kids from 9am to 11 pm.
We were very disappointed. The hotel needs major updates. The lobby, pool and other areas were very run down.
Hotel is outdated.Appears to have been a smaller hotel that they added two buildings to,resulting in what used to be an outdoor pool becoming an indoor,and seemingly open to the public based on how many people left the hotel lot after the pool closed.B'fast is only meal restaurant serves,so kids eat free is out the window after 11.No fridges in room,broken ice machines everywhere.Not what they show themselves to be in their info,I will not be back.
The elevators needed a lot of work, the elevators only worked half of the time. A couple of people got stuck in the elevator for a half of an hour they had to call the fire department to get the elevator to work and that wasn't the first time that happened. Also the breakfst was ok, the scrambled eggs could bounce they had a big assortment of food. They have temperpedic beds, and nice bathrooms but when you take a shower it would flood the bathroom and sink area. I would probably go there again if they fix all of those mistakes!
Well, when we got there the staff where nice. But the carpets to the rooms where very stained. It smelt like someting was damp and when i opend the room door, it stank. It smelt like mold or somthing had been left wet in there for days. My hubbie had to get a different room. It was much better but i would not stay there again with my family. Sorry to say as the staff where nice but it was just not kept up. I know it in an old town but if your offering a service, make it a good one. Thanks
This is the nastiest Holiday Inn we have ever stayed in! The red tile floors and many sections of carpet were absolutely filthy! The pool water was cloudy and puddles of dirty water surrounded the pool. The carpet in the room and the elevator looked like they hadn't been vaccumned in weeks. The bathtub had hair in it and there was mold on the shower curtain. I wouldn't stay at this hotel if it was free! We spoke with the manager soon after arrival, but saw no chnge in the 2 days we were there.
Mas Latour Lavail is a GORGEOUS renovated villa. It only has 5 rooms total so you practically have the entire place to yourselves. The owner lives on the property and is exceptionally friendly. The staff is so kind and helpful and went out of their way to help our group of 9 with three small kids. The hotel is out of the main city and you will need a car or taxi to access. It is down narrow roads (sometimes dirt) depending on which way you approach. I was a little nervous driving there at first given the roads, but was pleasantly surprised upon arrival at how beautiful it wad despite the remote location.
What a gorgous property and location. The staff was friendly and accomodating. We would stay there again. We wish we would have had more time to use the spa facilities. The breakfast was exceptionally expensive!

Although not an impressive building, this is a beautiful hotel with excellent facilities and services. The food is also of a high standard.
On the website we received a rate which was 50% of the standard rate, considering the quality of the hotel this was excellent value for money. Everything about the hotel was superb.
view from hotel / the seaside rooms on 2nd floor have a panoramic view over beach, sea and mountains. they also have a large shared terrace. the spa facilities are good / excellent and so is the breakfast room with nice sunny terrace on the beach side. from the outside, the construction style is not particularly appealing (modern hotel look, little charm) but the rooms are modern, well equipped and of good standard. bathrooms are on the small side for a 4 star but rooms are same size or larger than american style standard (which is significantly bigger than EU style). The rooms, staff and views are a plus. spa is of good quality too with good hamman - although hidden, and with spacious set up. The outside style is of a modern beachfront hotel - do not like the taste. In Canet you will not find a charming small or classic outlined grand hotel. The village is family tourism oriented and this hotel fits within but is surely the better choice within Canet plage.
The rooms were clean and contemporary. The beach adjacent was wonderful. The food was excellent. The advertised WIFI in the room never worked. The hotel did nothing to try to fix it.

Nice location at the seaside. In principle the hotel is acceptable its simply if you go half an hour further to Spain you get more value for the money. Pool and restaurant is pretty compacted together. In the hotel you have more the feeling to be in a hospital then in a hotel.

Helpful staff, tasty meal, very quiet location. Clean beach. Room doors have huge gaps - every sound from the corridor of even from other rooms was heard perfectly. No "natural" wild nature around - only cultivated palms and bushes.

The staff was kind and helpful and there was a fairly nice view of the beach from the room. The breakfast is served (allegedly) until 10 am but when we went there at 9.50 everything was already taken away! The rooms are extremely small.

We have stayed at the la lagune before and loved the food , the staff were always helpfull and very polite and had great sense of humour . the hotel is always very clean and we were impressed that the chambermaids cleaned behind the bed every day . we really cant fault it and think it deserves more than three stars it is certainly better than several four star hotels we use on a regular basis Small bath tub and small wc but that is the only slight faults
The hotel was well located for exploring that part of france. the pool facilities were good. It was not on the main beach at saint cyprein and as the hotel only provided buffet meals it was not convenient for visiting local restaurants.
Location The Hotel had just opened for the summer but the heated pool was not heated yet? The selection of food available was minimal
The massage at the Spa was great. And the free WiFi service.(once we got it to work.) The walk to St. Cyprien sur la Plage was 40 minutes and easy from the hotel. Lots of good resturants in town. To use the free WiFi you must download Mozilla Firefox (a free linex beased web brouser or something similar), Microsoft does not cooperate with most WiFi networks.
The hotel is in a good area, but the building works did affect the short break we had planned, the saw dust came down in the coffee when we had it outside The staff took no notice of our complaint, certainly not a 3 star nor at this time a 2 star establishment.
The surroundings, food, rooms and staff were fantastic. The staff were so accommodating, we were able to arrange a dinner party for 15 pesons with one days notice. Did I mention the staff were fantastic!!! A comment only, is that this hotel isn't central to the town (only about a 5min drive). this didn't affect us but may be of interest to others.

Very little, the room and bathroom were clean. There is a restaurant which is an enormous part of this hotel, it is run for the benefit of local business people but is the only on-site source of food for the hotel. Room service is only available when they say it is. The managerial staff at the restaurant clearly do not enjoy guests from the hotel eating there and expect the worst tables and cold service. The restaurant tables surround the pool on three sides, which is not shown in the pictures and you are not allowed to swim in the pool before 9am or after 7pm. If you swim between 12 and 3pm, expect an audience of local businessmen to watch and comment. The gardens shown also host functions, during lunch and in the evening. Basically, holiday guests are suffered but not really welcome
Food in restaurant was very good. Overall very nice room and hotel in general was quite nice.

The quality of the room was good. It was amazingly quiet and calm despite it's location on the edge of Perpignan. The food served up in the evening looked and smelt excellent, but was too expensive for our budget and we had allready had a big meal at lunch time!! However, we would have no hesitation to stay at the hotel again, and you never know we might even eat in the restaurant!!
staff were helpful. do not like ground floor rooms - i should have mentioned it on the booking. really nice though - private and quiet, will go back. hated the set menu at the weekend - i like a la carte - vegetarian and eat little. did not ike the constant hoover in the pool as i like to swim.

The best thing I can say about the Logis Mar I Sol was that it was clean, but it was very convenient for the beach, bars and restaurants of St Cyprien Plage The room was very small and shabby the shower fixing was broken so it could only be used as hand held, the shower tiles were cracked and stained. The bed was small and uncomfortable. We have stayed in many Logis hotels and this was very disappointing for a three chimney hotel.
