The Maitre d was a charming stand out amongst the staff, he also had excellent English and joked kindly about the standard of my French whilst still giving encouragement to learn the language!!! Unfortunately new building work at the rear of the hotel meant that the "tranquility" expected was not there and we were awakened by drilling and or banging at 7:30am every morning other than Sunday. A real shame as everything else about the hotel was up to expectations.
service, food and wine were all wonderful. We stayed here last year and it more than lived up to our memories. Large extension planned for next year including luxury spa. Can't wait! The restaurant is one of the best we have found in the area - the gourmet menu is superb.
Everything - beautiful hotel, fantastic food and excellent friendly service. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a peaceful break in beautiful surroundings Only set meal available on dinner menu. Although this was a fantastic, gastronomic delight, as we were there for 3 nights, we did not want this every night. A lighter, a la carte option would have been welcome
An absolutely beautiful setting and very nice staff. None.
the room is beautiful, antique and very spacious and clean. the surroundings were also fantastic. the chef's comments when he found out we wouldn't try his food.
The service and the personalized attention, the setting, the view. It was an overall nice expierience!
The reception was very friendly, a cosy place with a nice restaurant and nice surroundings We made a reservation for a superior room with an upgrade to a deluxe room, however upon arrival the room was not even close to superior let alone deluxe! We complained and were given a deluxe room with an additional fee of eur 40!!
be very exact about services quoted, specially in the restaurant
Nice clean room and ensuite Food poor and chef yelling at staff in front of guests. Not appropriate
All inclusive package was excellent value for money
location and all inclusive
Friendly place all-inclusive deal meant we didn't spend much on extras. We were there 3 mights and all the time there was only 1 person on Reception - even at busy times, in a hotel with 97 rooms. So there were long queues, and the person on duty was over-stressed. This 1 person was doing check-in, answering phone, handing out list passes etc - and all at once! Their room planning was rubbish - they twice allocated us a room that was already occupied and it took ages to sort it out. Then we had to change rooms after the first night. We met other guests who had exactly the same problem. I suspect that taking all their bookings from online agencies - like Active Hotels - makes their rooming logistics more difficult, in that case they should have a system that can cope, and enough staff to cope with it!!!
We had a fabulous stay in Pas du Loup. The hotel is in a perfect location and the food was amazing. The staff were really helpful and the ski was great! The hotel was great - however Isola is a very quiet place. Perfect for couples and families but I wouldn't come here if you want mad nights out. Great ski, great food, very relaxing.
This holiday has the very rooms in the entire resort compared with other holidays in the area. The rooms are big and very comfortable. You can't check in to your room until 5 o clock.
I liked the good food and convenient winter sports and the hotel was warm and comfortable. Nothing
The Hôtel Club du Soleil Le Pas du Loup is a ski hotel with basic facilities for overnight stay. The room was not terrible but very basic in its offer. There were a large number of families with young children and this might not be acceptable to some prospective guests. Dining facilities in the 'town' were very basic and appropriate to the ski fraternity.
Allways alert personel. Perfectly situated in the skiing area. Food was sufficient and tasty. The hotels common rooms fireplace bar restaurant was a little noisy. Could recommend the fireplace to be reservated to calm activities.
the v iew lack of hospitality skills, no elevetor
Location, friendly owner, traditional decor
Authentic feeling in an older hotel, yet clean I thought the price was a high.
Hotel is on the central square in a wonderful little town. Breakfast good. Reception is on the first floor. Room a little noisy because of crowds in the square until early morning; however, this is also part of its charm.
Friendly and helpful staff/owners, warm rooms, heating ski storage, free wifi and free parking, great location Blankets and sheets instead of a duvet, badly regulated hot water when toilet flushed (dangerous),
Very nice village, lovely shops and restaurants, well-kept hotel, very easy car access to the skiing resort of Pra Loup. Little parking available close-by, we often had to search the streets for a spot and never managed to get a spot in the carpark in front of the hotel. We also got fined for parking on one street despite a complete absense of any warnings or "no parking" signs. The hotel has a ski adf boot storage room, however you have to go up to reception to ask for the key every time and the room is very cold, hence the boots don't dry out overnight. The owner of the hotel was very stroppy about taking ski boots up to the room, in fact he flew in a rage at the very mention of it, claiming the boots were wet and hence not allowed up there. Despite the fact that the shoes we were wearing on our feet were wet and muddy.
Great value, (nice breakfast), close to everything, very professional staff, great to have wifi in your room
Nothing 1. It's far from the ski lift. About 100 m walking with ski equipment (in ski boots). 2. There is no lift in the hotel. 3. Absolutely terrible breakfast (baget and croissant with cold coffee) costs 8 Euro per day/person
Close to Ski Slope and main village Small bath
free private parking, walking distance to restaurants, good breakfast, the hotel looks to be under refurbishment - the breakfast hall is very nicely refurbished, the rooms nevertheless are very basic with very little furniture very basic room, valberg is a winter resort, only two restaurants open in june
friendly and helpfull staff. Impossible to get a regular heat. It was very difficult to take a shower. Sometimes the water was very hot and than 1 second later it was cold.
Flexibility on arrival; supporting by planning next day trip. nothing to eat - only 2 restaurants in the whole village were open in June.
Decent breakfast Electricity went away 3 times, reception only open 8-20,
One of the few places open in Valberg during the summer, it had good location, close to everything, a good restaurant for breakfast and a small, but comfortable room. Ideal for our purpose of a one-night stay. No problems.
The hotel is convenient to stay at, you can walk to all the resturants and there is free parking The TV was very small, and no english channels
It was clean and tidy. Reasonably convenient foe the slopes, and reasonable priced, the bath was a strange sit up and beg bath but better than no bath at all. The walls were so flimsy that children and late arrivals could be heard.
The staff and the dining room No
Very close to the bus stop and slopes. Breakfast was good too. The room & bathroom very basic. Could do with a bit of upgrade
