good value for money the room service was a bit long
The hotel was bright and modern The situation - it was difficult to find. The restaurant was closed so we had to go looking for somewhere to eat
the possibility of a guarded parking the possibility to have two single beds instead of just a double one
the location in the heart of the centre we did not have a bath, only a shower, but the friends we were with had one, so apparently, there are different room types for the same price, they should at least mention this and preferably give you a choice (I would have loved a bath, after the marathon we did on Saturday!)
The bed was very comfortable and a very good shower. Our room did stink of cigarette smoke when we arrived. We aired it as much as we could and sprayed it with perfume, but in this respect it was fairly unpleseant.
The staff was very helpful. Luggage was not delivered at the airport for one of our group. They stored it for us even after we had moved on with our trip through France. We couldn't have been more pleased with their help. We would recommend this hotel to anyone.
The studio room was very nice, the staff were very friendly and the food was excellent!
We liked the decor, the updated bathroom, the helpful staff, the breakfast, free wifi, and a good restaurant for dinner. Didnot like to pay for parking garage.
Customer service was A+++. They were always helpful, cheerful, courteous & informative... Rooms were lovely, and location perfect - an easy walk to train station and market, as well as being next to the main street for shopping & boutiques. This was my third stay here, and I intend it to be my destination hotel when I visit again... Nothing to dislike...
friendly staff and clean and nic ehotel
The hotel was easy to find. Parking facilities good. Although this was on Nov.1., i.e. holiday in France with basically the whole city closed down, the hotel resturant was open and served excellent food.
good location, near Lyon
Good location. Easy access to freeways. Good restaurant. Very poor wireless Internet signal. Almost too low to be usable.
location to many shops/restaurant and businesses no
The hotel was clean and had a great restaurant as well the staff were very helpful.
An overnight stop driving to the Cote D'Azure was an unexpected highpoint of our holiday. Really good food and a comfortable room for myself, my wife and our 2 children.
We like this hotel very much, the rooms are big. There is free coffee and tea in the room.
friendly helpful staff
The accomodation was great .. room comfortable, dryer in the bathroom ... the restaurant was very good , the fish was cooked to perfection ... appreciate the light dishes presented in the menu
next to the motorway and quiet
We used this hotel as a stopover. As such it served us well. No negative points therefore but for a longer stay or a more touristic one I would likely choose a hotel closer to or in the center of Lyon.
staff very Helpful, Very Clean, very comfortable bed,Luxury Hotel
sauna and steam room
the staff were excellent and made us feel v at home. We arrived with a small baby and couldn't take advantage of their 2 star michelin restaurant. They offered a babysitter and then when we declined organised for us to have some of their amazing food from the restaurant as room service. My only comment on breakfast is at 25 euros a head they should include some hot dish eg eggs, bacon etc everything was cold and we were their in Nov. However the croissants, pain au chocolate were home made and delicious
Quiet room No possibility to have dinner outside
There was nothing that I liked about this hotel and therefore this section could remain blank. No restaurant on sunday evening. If this hotel has been refurbished as claimed then think again.
Generally what I expected but the three buffet menu was very good. I would recommend Balladins again.
The personal of reception
There was an on site restaurant which was great No Tea/Coffee making facillities in our room.
Pleasant place for an overnight stay. Within reasonable walking distance of interesting town with choice of restaurants.
Convenient location Shower didn't work properly and was very inconvenient
the room was very cool (thanks to the airco!). because of that you get a good night rest.
Nice and friendly staff. Close to the autoroute. Free parking space within the premisses. Little terrace in front of the building, annex to the restaurant. Keep in mind that this is a pass through hotel, located outside the city centre.
Not much at all really. The room where the bar was situated was quite pleasant. The rooms had seen better days. They were too small with little comfort.
open 24 hours ideal for through traffic French only TV. Economy on space
We only arrived at 3am and wanted to sleep. We had the "Do Not Disturb" sign on our door and at 9am the cleaning woman came in our room waking us all. It was impossible to go back to sleep and we were very upset!
The desk receptionists spoke English and were polite and helpful. There was some trouble with keeping the supplies for breakfast replenished for patrons. We had to ask several times for more ham and butter to be set out, after it had run out.
Unfriendly hotel staff. Did not let us watch the Champions League Final at the lobby, because one client eating at the restaurant at the other end (!) was recording the match and did not want to hear the score!!! We were told to watch the game in our rooms, but would not serve dinner there...
Its good location for a motoring tour. No lift to upper stories!
We were travelling as a family of four and they arranged joining rooms for us which was really great. Staff Helpful, Hotel Clean, 1 EUR for a short bus and train ride to city.
Very easy access, local public transport close by, excellent restaurant No lift and the restaurant was closed on Saturday night
clean - staff at reception wifi expensive - the socket adapteur was for sale only - breakfast expensive
very good beds :) nice room
Breakfast was good, recently renovated front desk and breakfast area the rest is literally falling to pieces. Room Carpet was worn out, very dirty looking rooms, Would not recommend staying here.
It was well positioned for Lyon giving excellent access to [public transport. Very warm and comfortable with charming and helpful staff
Good location, easy to find by car, very clean room
Functional, family room was a bit spartan
The hotel was very clean and the staff very helpful. It is quite close to the A6 motorway and extremely close (800 metres) to a large hypermarket complex including fuel and a restaurant.
Beautiful setting, green and fresh, in the middle of an industrial area you felt as if you were in the country. Did not eat in restaurant, but breakfast good. Nice relaxed atmosphere in whole hotel. Bed a bit hard for me, and as usual in budget hotels, not enough pillows.
Chosen for location to business being visited. ok 3* motel type accommodation. Comfortable & clean. On bus route from Lyon. Declined to take the pricey breakfast.
Service. In spite of a late arrival and a closed kitchen, the staff was willing and able to provide a delicious salad.
Good room-size, quiet, nice pool, great outside sitting area The price for breakfast is far too high
The room was well appointed and the reverse cycle airconditioning was excellent. Secure parking was available directly outside the room. The pool and surrounding area was relaxing with ample sunlounges and comfortable seating provided. Coffee/tea making facilities were availail on request. Staff were extremely helpful making the stay very pleasant.
comfortable .Good location
Very good quality of restaurant. Cooperative and very friendly staff of Restaurant and Hotel. Even if the rooms are front road, enough quiet. some difficulty for wireless connection (probably to many connections together!?
Booking via website Smile of employees Wifi system with card to buy at reception
Friendly staff, good parking, substantial breakfast with excellent coffee Unlike other Best Western Hotels I have stayed in, this one was rather more like a motel than a hotel and for this reason I find it difficult to put it into any of the 'holiday' categories listed above. For a city trip to Lyon it is a bit far away - a bus journey and 2 metro trains.
Clean crisp white bed linen. Bargain half price on room rate. Good food though variable quality and a bit pricey. My lamb was superb but my wife's steak a bit tough. Great swimming pool for our two year old to enjoy. The door could not be locked from the inside so we couldn't prevent our two year old from letting himself out. There was no shower curtain and the shower head was waist height.
the best stopover on your way to south of france
Wonderful owners were most helpful and friendly. The food was creative and outstanding quality. Our room had a great view. This is a gorgeous location in a small wine town.
Very pleasant room with views to the vine covered hills. A good welcome with excellent restaurant and adequate wine list. The lack of hot water at important times was rather off putting.
The Hotel was nicely situated and the staff were very friendly.
Wonderful location and beautiful food. The staff were very helpful.
The food is superb & although not cheap, good value for such professionalism & originality
The excellent food and friendly reception.Very recomendable
General ambience was welcoming and the staff were excellent. Plug would not work in sink. Once hot water was used, difficulty in getting cold. Shower head would not stay upright.
Excellent location for exploring Beaujolais contry. Rooms are simple. Food is outstanding. Superb cooking, but expect to pay for it. Hostess is very helpful and an expert on wine. Pleasant dining room with wood burning stove. Electric heaters in the rooms. With so few staying, it would have been good for the chef to have met his clients.
One of the nicest hotels that I have ever stayed at. Very comfortable with wonderful views. The hotel restaurant's menu was not inspring, but there is a good restaurant about 100 meters away.
The fine cooking, but not on this occasion We stayed at this simple village hotel at the same time last year and had a wonderful meal. Despite the rooms being very basic, we decided, once again, to make this our last stop on a tour of Europe. When we arrived, we were told that the restaurant was always closed on a Tuesday and no food or drink could be provided. We were told that an e-mail had been sent to warn us, but no e-mail from the hotel has ever been received. We were told that the local restaurant was open but we found that this too was shut. This is a fairly remote village and we had no option but to leave and, late in the evening, find an alternative hotel in the nearest city. Hardly what we expected.
A very friendly atmosphere and staff, made to feel very welcome and would return.
Very clean tidy, and all we needed
Close to the motorway therefore ideally placed for an overnight stop. Very easy to find. Bar not open until 7pm on Sunday.
Friendly welcome and nice restaurant with good cooking None
