Pros: Beautiful location in the Ardèche mountains, very friendly hosts and nicely decorated room and bathroom. The room is under the roof of an old farm, renovated to keep its charm while providing all modern comfort. Highly recommended!
Located in Moudeyres, just 25 km from Saint James’ Way, Le Moulinou offers a lounge with a fireplace, a hot tub and a sauna. The property is set at an altitude of 1230 metres and Estables Ski Resort is only 4.5 km away. All rooms feature a view, wardrobe and a private bathroom with a hairdryer. Some have exposed stone walls and others have wooden flooring. A breakfast is provided each morning at Le Moulinou. Guests can also enjoy local cuisine in an evening meal prepared by the hosts upon request. Additional features include massage treatments upon reservation, a garden and a terrace. Hiking is popular in the area and Le Puy is only a 35-minute drive away.
Pros: This is a very characterful property and we had a wonderful welcome from our hostess. The evening meal and breakfast were both delicious and the rooms were well-furnished and comfortable.
Cons: Nothing. We were charmed by the place.
Pros: The quirky farmhouse that was comfortable but retained it’s history. The owner was very friendly and welcoming. The evening meal was very tasty with local ingredients and local cheeses
Cons: The dishwasher in the dining room which was loaded as we ate and was running noisily through breakfast
Situated in Saint-Julien-Chapteuil, this hotel is within 12 mi (20 km) of Le Puy Cathedral, Statue of Our Lady of France, and Musee Interactif Hotel-Dieu. Church of St-Michel and Musee Crozatier are also within 16 mi (25 km).
Pros: Stunning location, amazing restoration of a historical farm property.
Cons: Not ideal for pilgrims on the Chemin de St Jacques, because it involves a long tough climb at the end of the day.
Pros: Lovely setting away from town. Friendly dog. Pleasant if unusual room.
Cons: Flies. Flies at dinner — we were constantly swatting at them. Flies in our room: my husband was up early swatting at flies. The sauna and hot tub on the floor below raised the temperature in our room so we had to open the windows and the flies came in. The duvet with comforter was way too hot, so we had to keep the windows open. We would have asked to stay another night but for the flies.

Pros: The view is umbelievebable, make sure you contact the host before booking, she can tell you a lot about the place and if other people will be staying....
Pros: Super friendly welcoming by the owner:-) She speaks english which is a big plus! Very flexible and helpfull. Lovely location and surrounding landscape. Could absolutely reccomend for a relaxing weekend or longer weekend!
Pros: The room and bathroom were clear and nice, just the right thing you need after a long day's walk. And what was the best: the host is very friendly and speaks very good English - I very much appreciated it after a month in France without knowing any French. And the breakfast was perfect :-).
Cons: Just a warning for people without a car: There seems to be nowhere to get some food in the village - no grocery shop and the only pub is open only on Friday nights (unconfirmed!). Anyway, that's not a fault of the accommodation.
Pros: The breakfast ;)
Pros: Unusual building, interesting interior design, unique decorating choices, modern bathroom, nice breakfast, great location, friendly and helpful hostess.
Pros: It is a wonderful place to stay with charm and history. Just look around and see all the work that has transformed it to the peaceful place to stay.
Cons: There wasn't anything to dislike
Pros: Lovely wooden interior and home made breakfast
Cons: If there’s a prospect of arriving late and a need to dine on arrival, make sure to book a meal in advance. We were stranded in the evening and there was no flexibility or options to dine at the property or nearby!

Cons: Nothing really, but a kettle and cups in the room would be welcome for an early eau et citron!
Pros: A good local hotel, with an excellent country restaurant.
Pros: Very friendly - nice little hotel with an excellent breakfast

Pros: Initially the woman who ran the hotel was quite accommodating, but that soon ended.
Cons: We were told we could get WIFI in the bar, so we came down at night to log on. The code did not work so we told the staff (who were running the very under-manned restaurant) who told us they were "too busy" to help us. We all waited an hour until they finally came out to answer our questions and I was told "the code is correct, it is not my fault it won't work" without them even checking the piece of paper we were given to see if it was correct. The people above our room had children who screamed and jumped up and down until midnight. In the morning, after we had told them we needed to leave by 5.45am and have breakfast at 5.30am (which was agreed) We awoke to find no one around and finally a man arrived and told us he was told 6.30am.
