10.0 Excellent
Pros: Christophe the owner was so fantastic. No effort was to much. Nice conversations, great breakfast but most of all his versatile and sweet personality. Thanks again for the wine, water and cake Christophe you gave us on our way home. We are your biggest fans!! Someday soon we will be back!! Chapeau!!! Big hug from Peter and Ina.
Cons: Nothing!!!!!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved the fact that we were the only ones in the house. Great views out the window of the water with swans on it and the chateau next door.
Cons: That we had to leave.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: At the end of our driving trip in Normandy, we made an excellent choice to stay in this very special place for two nights. Manoir de Livet has been lovingly restored by Christophe and Pascale who now enjoy being able to share it. They operate a café at ground level of the building, but when it closed at 6.30pm, we, as the only guests were entirely on our own - in addition to our delightfully furnished bedroom and bathroom, we enjoyed the use of the library and the peaceful terrace where we particularly enjoyed a picnic dinner. The Manoir is in a beautiful and peaceful setting overlooking Chateau de Saint Germain de Livet. Our hosts Christophe, Pascale and their three sons were very welcoming and generous.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The Location, private, tranquil, safe, peaceful and very unique
Cons: We liked everything, only wish we could have stayed longer.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Having the manoir for us, full privacy The renovation that was performed is extremely well done, the library next to the room in particular The room is very romantic The view from the room on the water and the castle
Cons: Nothing that we did not like, the place is wonderful both inside and outside The Manoir could be better indicated with some signs, I went into the castle to know where the entrance was => a sign that is more visible to indicate the entrance of the manoir would be a plus
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Incredible! Literally couldn't believe our luck! We had the entire property to ourselves, the view was the old chateau next door, the garden residents were 3 peacocks, 3 swans and ducks (the latter in the moat to the chateau). The room was fabulous, we could have happily stayed here for weeks. Christoph our host was great! Superb English and brill sense of humour, he didn't live in the property so just left us to it!
Cons: Nothing!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We broke a rule coming here, we never go to the same place twice, but...... We stayed here back in 2015 and it has been in our memories ever since so we had to come back This is a truly beautiful little peaceful hideaway, christoph is a fabulous host, he runs this place with his sons during the day making snacks and crepes, but when the visitors to the castle next door leave he leaves you all alone and the entire place is yours,!!!! After a very restful night christoph returned to make us a lovely breakfast served in the grounds with the company peacocks Do not miss the opportunity to share this experience, it is no ordinary hotel stay this is somthing special
Cons: Everything was perfect
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything ! The host was very helpful and kind , the manor is amazing and the view to the old Castel was breathtaking !

9.5 Excellent (59 reviews)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The entire experience was fantastic. The area is beautiful, making for a wonderful drive to and from. We enjoyed our room and the adjoining bathroom was great too. More than spacious for the 3 of us. The provided breakfast was overwhelmingly delicious; our host even cooked up some fresh eggs for us, on top of the apple bread, apple compote, local cheeses, baguette, croissants, jams, butter, juice, milk, and coffee. We also had the opportunity to tour the farm and chat, learning about the horses and everything else. We would 100% recommend this place! If we ever get to go back to Normandy, we'll be staying here again.
10.0 Excellent

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful small hotel in the centre of town- everything is a walk away. The perfect base for exploring surrounding villages. Our group booked 3 rooms and each was lovely- the architecture, decor and collectibles made it a truly French experience- but with modern bathrooms! Breakfast was fabulous- baguette, croissants, ham, eggs, bread, yoghurt, juices, fruits etc and brewed coffee. Paul and Alma are superb hosts- they even drove us to our wedding venue when the taxis were booked out and ironed a dress! Cannot recommend staying here highly enough.
Cons: A longer stay.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful old property with lovely antique furniture and very friends hosts
Cons: Cold!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly owners, pleasant to deal with and helpful.
Cons: There was no cheese at breakfast which I find unfortunate in a region such as Livaret, which is known for its camembert. Maybe provided with egg cups.
10.0 Excellent

9.2 Excellent
Pros: Sweet apartment with a small lounge with open plan kitchen area and wc downstairs, bedroom and shower room up a spiral staircase. Lovely setting with fields all around.
Cons: There was a sloping ceiling in the bedroom so the head height was a bit restricted at one side of the bed. Perhaps a bit overpriced.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Elizabeth and Ivan couldn't of been more welcoming and helpful, this is a charming little place in a beautiful location.
7.5 Good
Pros: Staff is very friendly and gave us advice what to visit and where to go. Relaxing place. Fresh air (county side).
Cons: Parking facilities could be better. When you arrive in the night - like we did - it's difficult to park your car there. An additional light will be welcome.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Quirky, peaceful, clean air and the conviviality of the hosts. Food was home made. As a result of my distress call, Elizabeth had Yvon drive to us and we followed him via the best route to the premises. Yvon gave me a litre of petrol, next day and then Elizabeth and he led us in their car to the nearest fuel station (which was 9km away). These kind acts were beyond the call and were very much appreciated.
Cons: I did not find Chemin De La Sallette on Google maps. The premises were shown, but Google’s navigation tried to take my friend and me, who were on street motorcycles, with two attempts, to them via unmade, rocky tracks. I was very low on petrol and could not risk another sortie, so we mustered in town outside the Restaurant Le Tournebroche on the D4 and telephoned.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Quirky quiet quaint. Fabulous hosts, welcoming and friendly and the meal and breakfast was great.
Cons: Nothing

8.8 Excellent
Pros: The bed was comfortable and the shower very good. Everything was clean. The check-in staff were friendly and very helpful. There is a lift. For dinner we discovered the Restaurant Aux Acacias a few minutes walk away and had a very nice meal.
Cons: The breakfast was not worth the €12 per person charge, catering more to people who just want cakes and muffins - the coffee wasn't good, there were some boiled eggs and unappealing fatty bacon, no scrambled eggs or other cooked items. There was no fresh fruit salad or range of yogurts. The baguettes and croissants were the French supermarket variety instead of the local freshly baked ones. We have been spoiled by other hotels in France so were disappointed!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was excellent - reception staff brilliant.
Cons: Unfortunately the restaurant was closed for dinner we had to dine elsewhere.
6.3 Good
Pros: It was very close to all the locations and the staff was very helpful and kind.

Perfect for a stopover en route to the south-west of France. The bed linen is lovely and crisp with memory foam pillows being an addition that you wouldn’t normally get at this price range. We had ground floor rooms that had a connecting door which made our stay so much easier. The Kyriad staff are helpful and check in takes 5 minutes. To sum up, a fantastic, Premier Inn level, hotel, that’s great value for money.

9
9.0 Excellent (34 reviews)
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Incredible room - an extension on the house built on stilts with a good sized room and lovely shower room. The view from the decking (on stilts) was amazing. Lovely host and family. Enchanting sight pulling into the smallholding to see snow white rabbits hopping around - pets of the children. Breakfast in the main house made you feel like a personal guest of the family rather than paying guests. Really charming.
Cons: Not really fair to mention this as we did not mention at the time as we were staying only one night but we could not connect to wifi. I'm sure host would have done everything possible to rectify this but we did not give her the chance.

8.3 Excellent
Pros: The owners were wonderful in so many ways. The location was great and the property was all that we were hoping for. We slept like babies in the lovely and quiet setting.
Cons: We hadn't expected the village area(s) to be without support services like gas, even a small grocery or eating places. All had to be done when we were in a larger town which was okay once we realized it all. The room was upstairs and required the climbing of many and narrow steps.

Cons: Ordered 2 rooms. Was disappointed that the rooms were on opposite sides of the hotel. Could not request a change to this because there was no hotel staff (we did self check in, after hours). It would have been good if we were forewarned that we had been assigned rooms on opposite ends of the hotel before we arrived. It is very difficult to split the family into separate rooms far apart when our luggage is all packed together into one single bag.

3.3 Mediocre
Pros: Leaving , getting far away as poss
Cons: Rooms could do with a refresh , and come to that so could the rest of the hotel Breakfast is low and they kidnapped the room key once we went out and gave it back once we paid. Got woke up at 11.30 by reception on phone why I dont know. Hotel reception area locks up at night, breakfast was late by 30minutes as they open up for you . All in all look elsewhere terrible little hotel stayed in better for a lot less money I'm not just saying I stay in at least 15 hotels in france every year on annual bike tour
7.9 Good
Pros: Its location. Very easy to locate. Very near the BASILICA.
Cons: Vehicles are noisy but understandable because it's beside the road.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Great staff and the room was very functional and very clean, especially the bathroom. The location is excellent and there is parking provided at the rear of the building. Having read some of the reviews left by other British guests I would suggest they remember that this isn’t the Savoy Hotel - something reflected in the price - and that no matter where you are in the world, if you make the effort to speak even a little of the local language then life is a lot easier. Neither of us are fluent but we found the staff to be pleasant, helpful and amiable. To sum up, this hotel is a great place to use as a base to visit the fantastic cathedral and the rather wonderful town of Lisieux.
Cons: No problems whatsoever.
9.6 Excellent

Cons: Everything owner and staff very attentive
5.8 Okay
Pros: Location and price
Cons: Grim surroundings - shabby and dark. Noisy street outside. Breakfast disappointing. Only 3 croissants between four and when I mentioned it to the waitress she said she didn’t understand. A kind french lady on the next table gave us theirs!
