Pros: Hosts were very genuine and make us feel welcome and confortable Breakfast was outstanding
Cons: Could not be better
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This place is absolutely superb! We used it for a stopover en route to the Ile de Ré from the UK and it was an oasis of calm and comfort. With two teenage sons and a dog, the converted farm building with its double bed and shower upstairs and twin beds downstairs was perfect and beautifully equipped (gorgeous Occitane soap provided!) and decorated. The owners were incredibly helpful and very pleasant with great advice as to where to go to eat (which they then phoned and booked for us) and then providing a wonderful breakfast on the terrace the following morning. I think many people would use this as a base for the nearby Puy du Fou but quite honestly I think it would be a wonderful place for a break just to discover the local area and enjoy the hospitality. We were travelling with a trailer with bikes on it and there was plenty of space to park it (and leave it while we went out for dinner). Overall opinion from all of us was "we want to come back here for longer next time!" Merci M. et Mme Meilland - c'était merveilleux!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The welcome and friendliness - the wonderful unique property, the excellent breakfast and the beautiful surrounding countryside. This is an amazing place to stay. Veronique and Patrice are amazing hosts
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely rural French cluster of properties . The hosts were really friendly and approachable. They have managed to introduce modern needs such as wifi into their suites without changing the character. Good car parking and a lovely picnic area which we used twice.
Cons: We couldn't have had a nicer couple of days so no negatives.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Véronique and her Husband were excellent hosts and were very welcoming after a long journey, recommending dining options, helping us with the information about the Tour de France (which was our reason for staying in France) and offering beer! The setting for the B & B is very tranquil and the breakfast was really lovely, fresh fruit and juice, cheese, bread, croissants and jam. The weather was perfect and we sat outside. We had the garden room, it is a barn conversion, with low beams - beware if your over 5' 3"!! Everything was immaculately clean and the bed comfortable. Plenty of parking. All in all and delightful place and good communication about check-in time etc.
Cons: Nothing really - would only say, that the room is quite dark and due to being a barn conversion is a slightly odd layout but it didn't deter our enjoyment. There isn't anything in the village so you definitely need to travel for dinner. No air con in room but we expected that.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The countryside was beautiful. We had a huge breakfast. Véronique and his husband are very Nice people.
Cons: Our stay would have been better with sun. But never mind ! Everything was OK.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location , the place , owners . It was excellent .
Cons: No opinion.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nothing was too much trouble for Patrice or Veronique. They didn't realise my husband had walking difficulties (my fault!) and offered every help. They even laid a table for us to have our picnic supper!! Welcomed with a bottle of excellent artisan beer to drink under the cedars with a stunning view. Breakfast was amazing and what we couldn't eat they packed up for us to take with us! I want to go back and would highly recommend this for a group of friends or family or a couple. Breathtaking building with incredible adaptation to it's present use. Worthy of more than a one night stay but if that's all you have time for then make the time!!
Cons: If we could have stayed longer!!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: close to puy du foy, pretty rooms and location, great breakfast, friendly host.
Cons: nothing, not much there for children.

9.5 Excellent
Pros: The welcome was warm, the food memorable, and the quirky and charming presentation of this unique place to stay were memorable. Dinner was fantastic, and it's lovely to have an honesty bar and somewhere cosy to sit where one can take a drink and relax before a meal. Better still surrounded by interesting memorabilia and the blackboard you can write on in chalk (for those of us who remember how it's done!) The setting is extremely convenient for the motorway, although the village itself is unremarkable. Philippe makes lovely jams (particularly the apricot and thyme) and Alice was so enthusiastic. What a charming couple, would happily return.
Cons: All good!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I arrived earlier than expected on a public holiday and my hosts took this completely in their stride. The house is delightful inside and out. It retains the charm of the school that it clearly once was, with lovely pedagogical touches such as the chemical composition of glucose syrup inscribed on the blackboard! The room was beautifully decorated, spacious and high-ceilinged. The bed was extremely comfortable and the bathroom facilities spotless and well-functioning. Breakfast was a tour de force including local fruit juices and excellent pastries, eggs and cheese. I was sad only to be able to stay the one night!
Cons: Nothing

Pros: Beautiful and spacious room, good shower and delicious breakfast. Try the homemade grapejuice (jus de raisin)!
Cons: After a hot day, the room was very warm and did not cool down. There was a fan, but an airco would have been great.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Although only two of us we had a spacious family room which was excellent. The hosts welocmed us and gave us a wine tasting of the wines they produce along with explanation of why they were different and a quick tour of the press etc. They recommended a restaurant 7 km away Jean D'La Queue which whilst not cheap was a fantastic meal. Obviously came home with some of the wine!

Cons: Our room was over looking the street, there is a bar next door and talking went on til midnight making it a bit noisy. The shower was awkward to get the head to stay up. We only had 1 towel each and the room wasn't cleaned daily but we only stayed 2 nights so wasn't a problem. The room could benefit from a fridge as it was very hot on our stay and we were unable to keep drinks cool.

9.3 Excellent (73 reviews)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic location, exceptionaly friendly and very pretty room
Cons: nothing
8.3 Excellent
Pros: We liked the friendliness and warmth of our host, Veronique, who provided assistance when required, e.g visiting the wine grower next door with us, and and her offer of doing our laundry. We liked the entrance to the garden, the garden itself and layout of the room, with kitchenette and the large shower room. We enjoyed the quietness of the accommodation. The beautiful fresh tomatoes that Veronique supplied to us was a real bonus.
Cons: The lack of effective Wi-Fi was a problem to us as we run a B&B in the UK and our family is in daily contact with us via WhatsApp. A booster from the main house would help in providing a stronger Wi-Fi signal - The TV reception was poor. The remote location meant it is necessary to use the car to visit shops and restaurants; we visited the Tourist Information in Nantes to download Google GPS maps of the area. The main room could do with improved lighting (higher wattage electric lighting) as the room does not benefit from an abundance of natural light as it is an old building, although lighting in the shower room was very good.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Veronique was a very kind and welcoming host. The room was very large, with a good sized comfortable bed, a sofa, an eating area and a small kitchen. There was also an excellent shower room/WC. A generous breakfast was served in our room. Outside, in the lovely courtyard, we had the use of a table to sit at, eat and enjoy a drink. The accommodation was great for our overnight stopover but it is worthy of a longer stay.
Cons: We do not think anything could be improved - Veronique offers an excellent service to travellers.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Cleanliness, friendly, large room
Cons: No hairdryer. TV reception very poor internal Ariel.

Cons: Entrance to car park has pot holes which need filling in. It would be good to have hanging space/hangers for shirts in the room. Plenty of drawer space and hooks but hanging garments is preferable for me. I would have liked to have had a kettle in the room to make my own early morning coffee- or access to coffee making facilities.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I loved the whole set up, varied rooms, fabulous hosts. Great pool lovely location. Breakfast exceptional and great value for money. Will return
Cons: There was nothing i did not like about the hotel. My only point was that we travelled quite a lobg way to eat as it was a Sunday.. not the fault of the hotel.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was nice, location is a few minutes out of town but near the main road so quite quick to get to.Rooms were nice and cosy and nice and clean. I do not speak French ( i know my bad) and the owner and I communicated through the phone apps available. Wifi is free. Drinks were marked up on an honesty board on the fridge and you payed at check out.
Cons: we were charged 4 euros per person to heat food we had purchased from the supermarket for our dinner as no restaurants near by. Book in is quite late at 17.30hrs.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Lovely decor each room a different theme. Very clean and comfortable. Friendly hosts. Plenty of information and a map of nearest restaurants
Cons: 1st impression seemed a bit basic , so much better when in room. No air con , but it was unusually hot.

Pros: The owners were wonderful! The pool was warm. It was quiet and the room was lovely! They also helped arrange taxi with other guests. I would definitely stay their again!!
Cons: There is no refrigerator in room and a long walk to get food. It really wasn’t a big deal since I was there for Hellfest.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Warm reception from the owners. Clean and tidy accommodation. Comfortable bed. Good breakfast. Fantastic assistance from the owners when we had difficulty making a reservation for our next stop. Thanks again Didier for making the reservation for us.

Pros: The room was so nice, breakfast was made fresh and if you want anything Special, you only have to aks! THANK YOU, DIDIER!!!
Cons: It was perfect !!
7.0 Good
Pros: Room looked nice.
Cons: No one to check in or welcome you. We specifically booked this as it says there are 4 restaurants within 1.5 miles. This is not true. We eventually found a truckers cafe which was ok but not what we hoped for. The duvet had no cover, just a top sheet which is not acceptable. Too many rules everywhere of what to do and not to do (don’t eat or drink in the room, don’t take towels outside, clean the loo!!) The hot water ran out in the evening and the shower was useless and sprayed everywhere. Breakfast was poor. Overall the place felt like they had done it and now wanted maximum return for minimum effort. Would not stay again.
6.8 Good
Pros: It was ok but had to ask to have our beds made every day. After we brought ham and cheese for breakfast it was supplied. A safety rail on the steps into the swimming pool would have been very useful. We couldn’t’t use it because there wasn’t a rail.
Cons: The rooms were comfortable and the beds. As we were in the disabled room we had no door on the shower and a broom was provided to sweep the water into the shower!!! A floor that slanted into the shower would have much improved the situation.

Pros: The fresh fruit salad, homemade confiture, being able to eat in or have breakfast on our table and chairs just outside our room in the morning sun with a beautiful view of the gardens and pool and the hospitality of the host who was very welcoming.
Cons: May be a fan in the room as it was very hot when we stayed but there is nothing more that could have improved my stay, it was wonderful and restful.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful reception, after a long journey. As soon as we arrived we were offered a glass of wine from a local vineyard, tomatoes from the garden. The property has a truly homely feel about it and the open plan communal area was well designed and enabled us to cook an evening meal after a relaxing swim in the pool. The pool itself was the perfect temperature for a relaxing swim. Our lovely host then telephoned the vineyard to arrange a visit for us to purchase wine. Some fabulous artwork on the walls too. All in all, a delightful last minute booking in a quiet country village and a highlight of our holiday.

7.0 Good
Pros: Comfortable room. Proprietor friendly.
Cons: We arrived around 7pm. There is nowhere to get any food as the place is in the middle of nowhere. We had to manage with snack food we had with us. Breakfast was very basic. Basically bread and jam !
