room very comfortable. restaurant excellent !! location very good. checking in and checking out no problems ! good car parking. kettle etc in room ! toilet too small
Very convenient for the Autoroute not the easiest place to find as the signs are not very clear - it might be easier to say it's next to the canpanille! Room fine as long as you dont mind a toilet so small that you have to open the door in order to stand up from a sitting position.
This was a motel style new hotel, the staff were friendly and efficient. The room and bathroom facilities were all quite small. Situated in a group of 4 similarly styled "modern" motel like hotels. Very convenient for the motorway. to the motorway.
very friendly staff who tried very hard specially with the language barrier wooden decked path- very noisy when guests were walking past the room
Easy to find, friendly staff, excellent breakfasts- plenty of everything! Rather a lot of noise from the adjacent main road particularly at night.
Friendly greeting upon our arrival. Lovely bright and clean room. Tea making facilities.
It was close to the motorway The toilet was too small
Very new, very clean, pretty good food for the category of hotel Lat breakfast by 9.00 hrs but not just the last chance to have breakfast, everything removed from the breakfast buffet at 9.00 hrs including the coffee. Too much efficiency not enough respect for the guests still finishing breakfast. Not normal hotel practice, staff not trained properly. Could recommend for room and even dinner, not breakfast, better to go to the Campanile or other motel with a better breakfast policy.
very comfortable bed was not told that restaurant was closed Sunday nights, we needed a hot meal after a long day driving. Reception was also closed Sunday afternoon/evening, although the information board outside said it would be open from 17.00 hrs until 23.00 hrs.
The room was small but very clean and perfect for a short stay. We had to leave very early in the morning before reception opened and left a note explaining that we had not paid for meals. The staff were very understanding and helpful.
Lovely family hotel and resturant No English TV-breakfast could be more varied
At first site room looked a bit tired but we warmed to it. It has an excellent restaurant on the opposite side of the road split in to high or low cuisine to suit your pocket. Car parking to the rear of the hotel was useful. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Front faces onto a narrow street and traffic noise was quite penetrating. If you live in a city it probably wouldn't worry you.
The staff were very attentive and friendly Only a shower attachment to the bath taps, so no surrounding shield to prevent spillage to floor
Location and frienliness of proprietors Unfortunately to have ventilation the window needed to be open. The Hotel is quite near to a railway line operating The TGV and was quite noisy at times along with the fact that it is next to a church with bells!
We loved the hotel and its situation in the lovely village of Vivonne. The room and bed were most comfortable. We would have liked air conditioning and it was in need of a little up dating. The decoration was a little shabby.
Very friendly owners and staff and good quality restaurant/bistro. Vivonne itself is simply magnificent and I would visit again (and plan to) without hesitation. Thanks, Mia, for a lovely experience. Very slightly haphazard system of 'checking-in' at the restaurant (due to the late hour) but it mattered not a jot.
The owners were extremely helpful, their restaurant food and service was excellent, even the buffet breakfast was most enjoyable. Ww hope to say longer next time.
A charmng small hotel, comfortable and well-appointed. Dinner was delicious and worthy of more note in the Guide Michelin than it currently has. We have stayed there several times and it has never disappointed us. I would recommend it most strongly.
Good chef and excellent dinner Initial allocation of Junior Suite was a very gloomy and fusty tower room but had it changed. No lounge or bar and dining room closed on one of our two nights. No warmth of almosphere anywhere in the hotel. Probably nicer when it's busier and hotter
The bed was comfortable. The rooms were very small and the bathroom extremely small with no where to put anything, also the shower head was broken. The menu was for the cost limited. Infact after seeing the menu we decided to eat elsewhere. This wasn't because we couldn't afford it but felt that it wasn't value for money. The hotel photos are deceptive and a group of youths drinking beer and riding motorbikes up and down in front of the hotel at night wasn't ideal.
Location, welcome, calm, cleanliness A little pricey
Location excellent Menu very expensive
Beautiful setting and surroundings. Restaurant was severely overpriced. Staff were unfriendly and arrogant. Beware if you are not a fluent french-speaker, they will make you feel extremely uncomfortable at a very high cost to you. We will never be back and would advise fellow travellers to stay clear.
Lovely quiet hotel in the countryside. Not a lot in the area and the town is very small. The food in the restaurant was excellant although very expensive for a 3 star hotel. The room was cosy, clean but there is not a lot of room and it was expensive for 125 euros a night. Food and drink was expensive in the restaurant, although the food was excellant.Gin and tonic was 13.50 euros which is far too much to pay. Cheapest wine was around 35 euros.
The quiet, riverside location, the food and the small size of the hotel, which meant we were not just numbers. Driveway access was difficult as we have a low sportscar
Outstanding Restaurant! The evening meal was without doubt the finest we have ever had the pleasure of experiencing. The chef, a remarkable young woman with an exceptional culinary talent deserves the accolade of Rising Star. The Bathroom was small and dark.
A pretty place. An excellent chef. A mirror in the bedroom would have been good. Stairs to top floor a little difficult for older people.
The food and the general efficiency Slightly fading in parts. The check in clerk was a little cold and slow
Did not stay as totally unsuitable Situated near lorry park. Restaurant closed in evening of day we arrived; we were directed to a truckers cafe.
The room was comfortable and the facilities were adequate
Easy to find from Autoroute, food simple butgood
Pleasant experience Very difficult to find
the restaurant food The rooms were in need of refurbishment
We use this hotel for stopovers between Guernsey and Spain. Have stayed many times Nothing
access to restaurant.
Room clean and perfect for a quick overnight stay as we had to leave very early in the morning. No reception available until 0700
Having a restaurant on site - very handy with children They mistakenly thought they only had one room booked for us instead of two. However, we managed with blow up beds for the kids! They realised the mistake later in the evening but by that time the kids were asleep.
There was a Campanile restaurant next door and we were given 10% discount tickets on our evening meals. The purpose of our visit was to break the journey to the south west of France and we were very pleased with our choice.
Convenient location Even though all rooms were listed as non smoking our first room smelled of smoke, we had to move to another room. Bathroom very small.
Hotel had a modern interior and was exceptionally clean and tidy. It had a bar, restaurant and, importantly for me as a biker, lockfast garaging facilities. The food in the restaurant was good and inexpensive and there was a shop in close proximity. The hotel was situated well out of town, in the grounds of a filling station.
Comfortable bed Smallest shower we have ever seen , blocked washbasin , shower door handle hanging off .
The room was clean. The breakfast was just adequate. The situation was appropriate for an overnight stop on our journey. The accomodation felt like being in a "rabbit hutch". Hated the metal doors. Could not get a cup of tea on arrival except from a machine, which was disgusting. Window shutter broken, would neither open or close. Shower head holder broken, although good supply of hot water.
The accommodation was generally ok To far from town
nothing i'm sorry the hotel
Adequate hotel for overnight stop and very good breakfast Very poor lighting and uncomfortable bed
The room was basic as expected. We endured two sleepless nights because of noise, drunken guests running up and down stairs who refused to behave when told to by staff; the hotel has no sound proofing and was awful the first night it was staff talking and banging around at 4am, when politely asked to keep the noise down they got louder! The lightswitch fell off the wall and the explair in the shower did not work, even the lights were tempermental.
