friendly staff, nice pool and garden, quiet location, good restaurant
The manager made us feel welcome from the moment we arrive, helped considerably by his great grasp of English (yes, I am one of those Brits who does not have a great grasp of French!). We ate in the restaurant a couple of nights but fended for ourselves for breakfast. This was not difficult as our room had a fridge for fresh juice and pastries which can be bought locally. The restaurant was very pleasant and the lady that ran it was again, very helpfull (ie. Had good level of spoken english!!). Our kids loved the pool and the resident cat and dog. All in all, we were very happy with our choice.
food dog in restaurant. If staff/you touch dog then table/food !
This place is a little gem of a find for a family holiday. Well located for beaches and exploring the area, but not prime location,so very reasonably priced. Welcoming hosts, where nothing is too much trouble. Easy access chalet style accomodation with a superb, well priced restaurant on site.
it was clean, economical nice location convenient en route stop.
The swimming pool was a bonus. We stayed here because of the reputation of the restaurant and we were not disappointed. Best oysters we have ever tasted at a very reasonable price. Owners very pleasant. Our room outside was in need of a complete make over. Odd bedside lamps, faded pictures on the wall, curtain hook off the wall, rusty towel rail. We felt 74 euros was over priced for a double room of this standard.
What a wonderful hotel. One of the best we stayed in on our tour. The proprietor could not have been more helpful and we had a lovely room near the pool which was warm and clean. Dinner in the restaurant was excellent and not overpriced for the quality.
indoor swimming pool
The proprietors were totally charming and very helpful. We were given an upgrade on our room as we were staying four nights. Breakfasts were in a beautiful conservatory and were delicious. The rooms opened out onto a courtyard which trapped the sun, and the design of the gardens and the surroundings was artistic. Swallows and sand martins, and the church bells were the only music to be heard. A beautifully quiet and restful hotel, with a splendid restaurant next door, run by another branch of the family. Due to the weakness of the pound when we went, it turned out to be a lot more expensive than we had planned, as meals were £20 a head minimum and breakfasts at £8 seemed a bit steep.
Excellent welcome from all staff. Room was great. Restaurant was outstanding. Pool was brilliant.
