The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. This made the stay a very happy and contented one. No complaints
Liked the informality, comfort and economy. Its position was central to the small town it was in which itself had easy access to lots of beaches and villages. It was easy to find and lots of the townspeople used its cheap and cheerful restaurant small cheap rooms really were small, but had all you'd need including good lighting
Charming and very attentive couple running the hotel but no sign of any other staff. Superb food in the restaurant. Rather small single rooms, and tiny shower room, but good enough for an overnight stay.
It was excellent the room was of a good standard and the staff helpful and food first class.
Lovely hotel in just the right location for what we wanted.
The rooms were nice, so was the food. The price of drinks, and the few problems we encountered with malfunctions in the shower.
There was nothing to recommend at this hotel. It was dirty, poorly maintained, the furniture in the rooms was old and very worn. We had paid extra for a 'comfort' room - don't bother, the bath jets and controls were so full of limescale they couldn't work. The staff were particularly bad and failed to put right any of the problems with the room, they even claimed not to have any milk for the tray in our bedroom - this is a hotel with a restaurant attached!!! They also do not have private parking.
The hotel location is good, close to many points of interest. The bed was really comfy. All the features were contemporary: nice, big shower, translucent sink, pristine separate toilets. They had obviously made an effort in decorating and styling the rooms all in olive green and brown tones. A disappointment. We had selected this hotel as it was a 'Hotel de Charme'. When we arrived we were ushered into a brand new purpose bit building where they had managed to fit 5 rooms. Despite the rooms being well appointed, it was not the charming atmosphere we expected. Rooms like many visited on business purposes - comfortable yet without character. The first room we were given was huge with a beautiful open plan bath but too noisy (wooden stairs + banging front door) so we asked to change. Our next room was half the size, over-heated and full of mosquitoes! Service was indifferent and questions answered laconically. The expensive breakfast lacked of choice (and clean cups) with flies everywhere and staff busy preparing tables for lunch.
Hot croissants at breakfast. Friendly reception.
Rudeness of the staff!!
The room was big with a seperate toilet and shower room. The breakfast was meager, for 8.5 euros the selection was poor. The pricing of the drinks is hefty,9.5 euros for a whisky cola is steep.
Bunk beds in family room were uncomfortable
Good location for visiting D day beaches
God stopover location and accessible from main roads In need of refurbishment - and brightening up. Decor very depressing and public areas dowdy. Expensive for what it was - not just the room but tiny coffees were 3 eutros each
Friendly staff, good restaurant food and service and the best breakfast spread we had all week! Rooms were small and basic, but quite adequate for our needs.
The staff were friendly and helpful - location was good Evening meals weren't as good as other hotels stayed at during the week's holiday
Friendly reception. Open all night. Breakfast was very good.
+clean & tidy - excellent location
An excellent welcome from the charming owner.Secure off street parking allowing me to leave my valuable bicycles on their rack.Delicious food.
Liked the restaurant and the town.
Very nice and good value for money and an excellent location for the beaches
We enjoyed the quaintness of the "cottage-like" rooms opening off the courtyard/parking area. The convenience of the on-site dining room with a full service menu was great. Staff was very helpful and accomodating.
The hotel staff were very friendly and efficient. The room was clean and the food in the restaurant was very good. I was a little disappointed to be accommodated in an annexe instead of the main hotel building, although this was a very minor disappointment. The breakfast didn't live up to the quality of the main restaurant with limited choice and overall poor value for money.
Main Hotel was lovely and staff were friendly and helpful. Room was not in the main hotel but across the courtyard and 4 storeys up. The room itself was clean but obviously a smoking room. The most disappointing aspect was the shower room which wasn't particularly clean epecially the shower which was damp and mouldy.
The owner/manager was remarkable ... so hospitable, helpful, sweet and spoke very good english. It was in the greatest town. After a couple of hours there you felt like you lived there. Everyone was so friendly. We loved it! Pillows.
Good Menu. Good service. Tired and frayed at the edges. Wines were at silly prices.
Friendly, English speaking staff Room (#6) very dated and noisy (directly above restaurant dishwasher?),toilet smelled, the shower head was broken and only 1 tiny bar of soap supplied for 2 days. No aircon.
