We arrived here (driving is tricky in Marseille!) and were pleased to be able to park outside to check-in. We then used the car park down the road which was reasonable and secure. The hotel bar on the roof terrace was closed which meant we could take our own drinks up there with glasses and ice from the staff. The view is INCREDIBLE and we sat up here for hours drinking wine and watching the port and the world go by. I am not sure where all of the other hotel guests were but we were the only people up there! It felt like we had a private terrace with the most wonderful view of Marseille (worth every penny!). The rooms were fairly tight as you would expect from a city hotel, but clean and breakfast was good. Staff all friendly, we would recommend staying here (roof terrace visit is a must!).

Nothing - was good value we think.

This is a merveillous place (tres belle) en French, the owners are really sweet, the mountains breathtaking, the lamb cutlets were perfect, the little creek also great for a swim. The only thing is that it is a bit hard to find. Don't go there for the big screen TV. Thank you so very much for your hospitality. Marc and Chloe

Nothing, this is obviously for travelers seeking a retreat away from the non sense of today, long walks, beautiful sceneries, tranquility and meditation, so, don't expect a TV, the internet doesn't work in the room upstairs but it does downstairs, completely fine with me.

The food and drink was excellent and we loved the personal service and range of local seasonal produce we had.

This place is a sanctuary. The wind was blowing hard when we arrived and seemed to deliver us to the top of the mountain, where we stared at the view for a very long time because it was so good we were unable to fully comprehend it. At no notice our hosts cooked for us the most beautiful and carefully made meal and welcomed us to their home not as strangers but as friends. A restorative 24 hours

    We liked everything

Our SatNav took us to the correct turn-off of the main road and then we just had to follow the long and windy road up the hill. At strategic points there are signs to point you the right way. Eventually we arrived at a B&B where we were immediately warmly welcomed by Rodrigo, who showed us around the property which the family has started to convert into a charming B&B. The location makes only half the attraction, but the views and peace and quiet are wonderful! The other half are the owners who are the friendliest and most accommodating couple we met on our “tour de France”. Our room was quite spacious, with a view over the valley, flooded in great colours in the morning - and it had the most comfortable bed. Such a great night’s sleep. And finally the food. Before we left the UK Stephanie had been in touch if we would like dinner as well (not included in the price) but worth the extra money. Sitting on the terrace overlooking the valley we went through canapés, starters, main, and dessert, plus a selection of cheeses, topped with a bottle of white wine. Everything freshly prepared from local produce wherever possible. And the breakfast was equally delicious and organic. We wish Stephanie and Rodrigo all the success for finishing off their work to turn this lovely old building into a very special B&B. We are planning to visit next year again.

If there was a niggle to be mentioned then perhaps that it needs a bit of tidying up.
