Pros: We were in France for 12 days and stayed at this property for 2 days, it was our favorite stay. The chateau and property are beautiful! The staff was friendly and welcoming. The room and bathroom were spacious and comfortable. One night we had dinner at the hotel along with the other guests which was nice after a long day exploring, the meal was delicious. Breakfast was served in the main dining room which was my favorite. The chateau owner Regis joined us and gave us the history of the property which was a real treat. After a long day of exploring Mont St Michel we came back and enjoyed a nice swim in the pool. Everything about this property was perfect!
Cons: Everything was perfect!

Pros: It was outstanding and the presentation of the dining room was 5 Star. The welcome to the breakfast by the Count really made the experience of being in a Château even more charming. Cons: Having to leave.

Pros: Nicely decorated and comfortable room, full of character. Beautiful old farmhouse renovated to a high standard. We booked the evening meal which was very nice. Excellent breakfast. Hosts very welcoming.
Cons: Nothing to not like but it is a fair way out of the village, fortunately our sat nav took us straight there.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The property is in a beautiful setting. We arrived on a damp cool day and there was a wood burning stove lit in the living room, it was most welcoming. The room was lovely and the bed comfortable. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. We left a washbag behind and they delivered it to Fougeres for us. Would definitely recommend this property.
Cons: Nothing
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very nice location away from the busyness. Very friendly hosts. Most remarkable was the silence. As we are mostly surrounded by noise it was remarkable to hear nothing besides your heartbeat. Ideal location to relax while having a nice starting point to visit the surroundings. Make sure you SatNav is up to date as it might guide you through some very small streets.
Cons: Due to the extreme temperatures it was unpleasantly hot in the room. Luckily you can open the windows and keep them open during the night. Due to the silence you will still have a reasonable sleep.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Big bedroom with a very comfortable bed. Beautiful gardens, well equipped room with communal area for relaxing with tea and coffee making facilities. Breakfast was fabulous with cossaints, meats, cheese and jams.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Isabelle is very warm and welcoming and gave us lots of good tips on places to visit. The house is quirky and beautifully decorated and the garden is lovely. The breakfast was delicious and served overlooking the garden. I am recommending this B&B to all my friends and family.
Cons: Nothing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I can't say enough about how great it was to stay at La Maison d'Isaphil. As 2 travel weary Americans touring the French countryside , I can't say enough about the hospitality of Isabel and Philipe. Meeting Isabel and Philipe and their hospitality became a highlight of our trip to France. Their home was beautiful and perfectly arranged so that we had our privacy but yet felt the comforts of staying at a home versus a corporate hotel. One of the highlights of our trip was having a fresh French breakfast and meeting the other guests for great conversation. In our case we met a nice English and Australian couple and we would discuss each others adventures and experiences in the French countryside. The fruit was handpicked from their very own garden and was fresh and delicious. Saint James is also very centrally located for day trips to the surrounding towns in the Brittany area, especially the Brittany-American Military Cemetery and the Abbey at Saint Michel. If you are seeking a quiet bed and breakfast I would highly recommend staying at La Maison d'Isaphil
Cons: Everything was perfect! We enjoyed staying here and meeting Isabel and Philipe so much that I consider them friends and hope to meet them again!

Pros: Facilities, cleanliness, secured parking, staff (even though language was a challenge)
7.1 Good
Pros: Everything was great. The apartment was modern and clean.
Cons: Room smelt a bit, even though its new it is an old persons home. My only real beef was that the corridor carpets were not cleaned in 4 days 3 nights, and were really dirty. Just note that all the staff are friendly and smiley, but none speak any English. Bring T-towels and cooking pan, a sharp knife etc. if you intend to prepare food or breakfast.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent Accommodation, although it is an Elderly Residency, the apartment was quite luxurious, with white robe and slippers, thick large bath towels, toiletries and lots of extras. Good Breakfast. Excellent parking in secured area. Friendly staff. Overall Very pleased.

7.9 Good
Pros: The host is really nice. He speaks no English but can call his wife if really needed. He tolerated us arriving after the latest check-in time, which we appreciated.
Cons: I would stress in the description of the house that there is a cat there. This can make a difference for those who have allergies to these furry creatures.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Nice local breakfast; bread and croissants just out of the oven, cheese, home made jam and more. Just what you can expect from a night in a farmhouse. Guests sleep on the 1ste floor, the owner lives downstairs. You stay out of the centre, 5 min. drive, inbetween woodlands and fields. Outside you can only hear nature, no noises of the busy world. Great welcome by the owner and the granddaughter. Will go again if we have plans in the aerea. (added photos taken from our bedroom window)
Cons: Charing toilet and bathroom with other guests, aldo very clean and not busy.

Pros: The atmosphere and location were amazing. It is a working farm with all the barns, animals, sights and sounds. We slept with the windows open and woke to roosters and had sheep walking past the kitchen window. The host was fantastic, very personable. He used to race horses nearby.
Cons: The towels were worn and some were hand towel size. There were no dishwasher tabs and no towel for drying dishes. We had a shortage of toilet paper. Not enough seating in the living room for our group of 6.

7.5 Good
Pros: We booked a 'last minute' overnight stay here and quickly received a confirmation message from the owner asking our anticipated arrival time. Our communications were limited by my lack of French but we managed adequately! The room was as expected for the cost. It was cleam, warm and comfortable with an en-suit bathroom. The room rate included a continental breakfast including an delicious apple cake cooked by the owner. We would happily book to stay here again.
5.8 Okay
Pros: The Lady was very friendly (when there..) , it is really very quiet and the breakfast was ok.
Cons: The place has a feeling of being a little abandoned ... the lady who runs the place is almost totally absent, getting the second towel (couple travelling) was no so easy, no hooks or trays in the bathroom ... And the place is really out of the way!!

Pros: Comfortable
Cons: Only speak French...

We have 2.2 acres of land, that incorporates a lovely colourful garden, and 1000m2 lake fully stocked with carp, tench and goldfish. We are in a quiet village in the heart of the rural farming community of Normandy, but on the borders of Brittany so you can explore both regions. You can choose a holiday seeing all the beautiful sights, relaxing and/or fishing. There is also a free pool table. Fully equipped kitchen, with (free) use of washing machine. Both bathrooms have shower, bath, sink and toilet. Included: Linen, towels, tea towels, dishcloths, cleaning products, vacuum cleaner, washing powder, dishwasher tablets, kitchen towels, toilet rolls, hair dryer There is a patio area with garden furniture and a barbecue (charcoal included) Free WIFI For fishing holidays this is wonderful for the family because it is a great lake for grown ups not too serious about 'the one that got away' and great for children already fishing or just starting up. For us women who are not interested in fishing there is plenty of garden to relax in, sun or shade, and plenty of places for retail therapy. We are just 7 kilometres to the market towns of Pontorson and St James. Both have shops and restaurants. There is an undercover area by the lake if it's too hot or raining. Can sleep 7. Extra £50 per week for extra person Nightly prices: 95 euros for 2 people, 18 euros per extra person per night. Bikers welcome
