Pros: Location, Simplicity .
Cons: Zero
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Lovely room and welcome. Arrived in the middle of a torrential storm and couldn’t find it and owner ran in the rain to show me the parking. Also, knowing I had no food, and didn’t want to go out again, she rustled up some bread, ham and cheese for me. A really kind woman. And the place is so nice: comfy room, big bathroom, great (shared) kitchen and view of mountains from bed!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The lady who runs chez Dom is extremely friendly, and the accomodation was amazing - really beautiful and immaculate decor, and spotlessly clean. She went out of her way to help me, and the breakfast was also delicious. I would thoroughly recommend this place.

Overview Reviews
See hotel page Stphane Collet welcomes you to a former mountain hut turned elegant three-star hotel in the small mountain town of La Toussuire. Chalet-Hotel Le Beausoleil, The Originals Relais is warm and cosy at the heart of the Les Sybelles ski area at an altitude of 1750 metres. This is the ideal place to enjoy the mountains with a delicious restaurant and 19 rooms with a subtle Savoie decor. The spa is an opportunity to relax and recharge in a soothing spot.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Nice family hotel, modern and well equipped. Ideally located, you can go anywhere on foot. Good breakfast, with fresh pastries. Heating system for your ski boots.
Cons: It’s a passive building, which is great, but it can get very warm at night. If you don’t want to suffocate, you therefore need to open your window long in advance (don’t wait until the middle of the night, it’ll be too late). The fruit salad from a tin is a faux pas in an otherwise great breakfast buffet. Amex not accepted.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The family who run the hotel were really nice, didn’t speak much English but we managed to speak with our basic French!
Cons: Not ski in/out
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Nice general location & breakfast. Nice Bathroom Manager was very helpful with our late check in Excellent parking Free WiFi worked ok
Cons: Bearing in mind the height of this Ski Resort hotel, was hoping for a better mountain view. Some seats on the balcony would have been nice. Resort was quite in mid June, so best to eat earlier in the day (As we did!) before driving up to resort.

Pros: The house is in a quiet location, very cosy and well equipped with all the amenities one could hope to find for a short stay. We liked the kitchenette and the bed, which was very comfortable. We only had to stay for one night but we would have loved spending a few more days enjoying the quietness and comfort of this house.

Pros: Cosy apartment in quiet residential area with safe parking in front of building for our classic car. Very close to Col du Galibier, which we wanted to drive the next day. Well equipped, comfortable place with good wifi. Key left in safe place, after receiving instructions by text from host. Worked well.

B&B Hôtel Saint Jean de Maurienne - Sainte-Marie-de-Cuines - Building
8
8.1 Excellent (1,630 reviews)
Overview Reviews
Located in Sainte-Marie-de-Cuines, B&B Hôtel Saint Jean de Maurienne is within a 10-minute drive of Opinel Museum and Cathedral of Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne. Featured amenities include multilingual staff, a safe deposit box at the front desk, and an elevator. Free self parking is available onsite.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very efficient, no-frills accomodation. Clean, modern room. One access code for everything (room, premises after gate closes, WiFi). Location is convenient for road travellers, but not scenic. Grocery store nearby. Decent breakfast, outside seating available. Sign advertised gluten free breakfast options although I did not try it (brought my own bread).
Cons: Location could be nicer, but as said above, convenient for road travellers. Reception was intermittently staffed. My room had the toilet in a separate room, the sink in the bedroom itself and shower in a third room - strange, but no big inconvenience for a solo traveller.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Good breakfast and friendly staff
Cons: In the room, we could hear the cars driving by. Request a room on ground floor next time.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Basic hotel with small room, but ok for an overnight stop. Very close to the motorway and easy to find. Excellent breakfast. We did not realise that they served dinner, so we bought food from a supermarket close by. Room very quiet and bed very comfortable. Bathroom ‘zone’ very compact.
Cons: Bathroom was very small area in the room and meant there was little space on the right hand side of the bed. Bedroom was very small, and too hot even in October. Tried to turn down the heat but it made no impression.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast good - hot and cold option Room very clean and bed comfortable. Location for an overnight stay en route to Italy excellent. Restaurant recommended by staff was very good.
Cons: we are older guests and were a little bemused by the automatic check in procedure - probably just us though.
6.7 Good
Pros: Seems very new and in good condition. Check in staff on 20th September very helpful and positive.
Cons: Check out staff on morning 21st September not positive. Was given a long story about air conditioning working (which it most definitely was not). Staff then finally says 'usually we turn off air conditioning in middle of September'. Yes the thermostat works for turning the fan on/off but just having fan not aircon is the oldest trick in the book. Don't eat dinner here as expensive for what it is. As a cyclist craving carbs 'chili con carne' served without rice or pasta is a sin(!). Buyer beware in location : highway in a cutting in one side of hotel. 24hr lorry filling station and peage on the other side(see photo).
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Nice clean rooms and friendly hotel staff
6.7 Good
Pros: The staff was great and very helpful. We didn't speak much French, and the receptionist was very willing to take the time to help us understand details when we needed them. One of the maintenance men and the cleaning women also helped us out when our key didn't work, so we have nothing but kind comments regarding all the staff at this hotel. Rooms were simple (very small) but clean and functional. The breakfast was also small and simple, but very good and exactly what you'd expect.
Cons: The room we had was extremely small, probably the smallest room we've ever had. If it was for one person, it would probably have been fine, but for two people with luggage, it was very tight. Also, the location was not the greatest. If you're just stopping on a long trip for a night's rest, this is probably fine. However, the location is just across from a truck stop type of place, so it has lots of semi truck traffic constantly coming in and leaving the area. Also, not being from the area, it didn't seem very convenient for access to local restaurants. We found a grocery store and gas station nearby, but had to drive quite a way to find restaurants. Overall, this is a good place if you're looking for a small, simple hotel but not much beyond that.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very convenient to the motorway and the best cooked breakfast on our trip, along with the usual continental choices. Very friendly staff. Although the room was small it was well designed and the bed was big. Convenient petrol station and restaurant close by.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: We stayed last year at Chambre D’Hotes del Cols, and it remained one of out travel highlights of the year. So much so we visited again this year. GianFranco and Francesca and their wonderful family make you feel most welcome in their lovely home. The surroundings are beautiful with mountains all around; you can take time out to relax in the garden and soak up these spectacular views. Breakfast is superb fresh bread and cheeses with scrumptious pastries and very nice coffee. We enjoy staying here so much and know that we shall return without hesitation, when travelling to the Maurienne valley.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The owner, very friendly.
7.9 Good
Pros: The breakfast was really excellent. Such a wide selection of quality food. Cheese and Charcuterie was so good. :-) The genuine friendliness of the family throughout our stay made it so pleasant.
Cons: The room sizes at the top of the house were a little small for us.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Our third return visit, and it was just as good as the first, with a very warm welcome from Gianfranco and Francesca. Within minutes of arriving we felt at home and sat absorbing the beautiful gardens and surrounding mountains. Our visit incorporated the Tour de France, so the town was buzzing with cyclists and followers - an amazing experience. Everything was perfect with the accommodation and of course the amazing breakfast - fresh bread, croissants and pastries everyday.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The nice private back yard was incredibly relaxing after after a good ride
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The owners were lovely , made us feel really welcome. Ideal for cyclists , we rode every day , used the washing machine and loved the space to sort out our stuff. Bike shops and town in walking distance. Breakfast perfect for busy day.
Cons: Slightly tricky to find , driveway off the street
9.6 Excellent
Pros: A precious home-stay, I was warmly welcomed by this kind family! I was offered food, and an extra ride due to an early departure, these hosts are very thoughtful and will make sure that your stay is pleasant. I hope to be back!
Cons: The place can be a little hard to find when it's dark so make sure to read the additional arrival instructions you get after booking!
9.2 Excellent

5.8 Okay
Pros: The whole facility was a little weird but the people were friendly
7.9 Good
Pros: Set deep in the mountains Stunning views Lovely wooded bar area
Cons: Bit off the beaten track
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Fresh bread of various tipes for breakfast, reserved table in the hotel restaurant
Cons: Poor choice of dishes for breakfast, for example: only cool boiled eggs, no warm sausages, etc
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Perfect for bicycle traveller: ground floor rooms with nice terrace, where you can also leave the bike. Wonderful evening sunshine!
Cons: Nothing.
4.2 Okay
Pros: I stayed Sunday night and there were no services Key delivered from a box and no food for miles.
Cons: A bit of help on local facilities.
7.5 Good
Pros: Room was comfortable and had a nice balcony. There was a key collect unit for when reception was closed. Ate in the restaurant in the evening, the meal was "ok", but not great and wasn't particularly cheap either. But I would stay again and maybe eat out. Breakfast was fine, but at extra charge.
7.9 Good
Pros: The balcony and excellent shower

10.0 Excellent
Pros: We loved this hotel! We felt like very welcome guests in Flo's house, treated as friends rather than paying customers. The hotel is spectacularly stylish with a fabulous view of the mountains from the restaurant. We stayed in a new room which felt both comfortable and decadent. We used the (included) hot tub every night which is open to the sunset and stars then played scrabble or read by the open fire while having an aperitif before dinner. Part of our stay coincided with the chef's short break but Flo did her best to feed us her grandmother's recipes accompanied by much humour from us all! The chef is absolutely outstanding (sorry Flo).
Cons: I'm trying very hard to think of anything at all that we didn't like ...... OK, we would have liked somewhere sheltered from the snow to put our towel while using the hot tub!
