Pros: The family room and the garden where we had our breakfast
Pros: Nice, confortable, and extremely clean bedroom, large enough to fit 6 people. Really nice garden to relax after the trip and to have a very good breakfast in the morning.
Pros: Interesting old building and sympathetically furnished. Madame Sylvie was charming and very welcoming. We would strongly recommend taking the Table d'hotes evening meal which is an authentic taste of home French cooking.
Pros: Superb friendly welcome from Sylvie and Jean-Francois with an excellent meal.
Pros: Very beautiful place to stay. Friendly and kind people and good food. Don’t hesitate but book this place!!
Pros: Lovely old property and we requested beforehand Table d'hote as we weren't sure what restaurant facilities there were nearby. This was no problem for our hosts, andthey weren't fazed when we told them that we are both vegetarian which is an almost impossible ask in France - unless you want to live on Fromage de Chevre salade! but we were served the most amazing meal with wine and our hosts were so lovely. Very French, not for those who like to stay in chain hotels with no character!
Cons: Just having a curtain across the ensuite was a bit strange, but certainly only added to the stay :)
Pros: Very welcoming and friendly hosts. Excellent evening meal. Lovely garden. Quiet village.
Cons: Prefer a door rather than curtain to en suite but maybe this was because it was a very narrow gap.
Pros: Lovely accommodation with a very friendly and warm welcome from the hosts Sylvie + Jean-Francois. Great location for Le Mans.
Pros: The hospitality of Sylvie and her husband was outstanding. The place is delightful, modern plumbing and comfort situated in an ancient setting. Our dinner and breakfast were superb and the whole atmosphere of the accommodation was peaceful and comfortable.
Pros: The shower and Sylvies preserves
Cons: Decor a bit dark

Pros: Amazing house in a wonderful location. Quiet and peaceful.
Cons: Having to leave!
Pros: Beautiful place to stay, an oasis from the hectic world of 24H of Le Mans. About a half hour drive from the circuit. The owners were very hospitable. Breakfast was perfect and if you are staying a recommendation is to have a diner also, we had a nice diner! When we are coming back to Le Mans we will certainly stay here again.
Situated just opposite the lake in Mansigné, La Terrasse des Oliviers offers a garden, terrace and bar. Le Mans is just 45-minute drive from the B&B and Tours is 90 km away. Pros: Beautiful hotel in a beautiful location. Perfect for our over night stay on our journey from the south west of France, plus there is a huge car park where we could park our caravan.
Pros: Room spacious and clean, bed comfy. Lovely view from window of lake. We were well looked after. We went in October so for us it was really nice and quiet. We had a walk and picnic next to the lake. Definitely intend to go back again.
Cons: Would be good to put a mirror in the bedroom itself. There was a big mirror in bathroom, but that is not always best place for us ladies to do our hair and make up in a steamy room. Kettle and coffee in room would be an added bonus.
When you stay at Domaine de Bel Air in Cerans-Foulletourte, you'll be 15 minutes by car from Malicorne Museum of Earthenware and Ceramics. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: The surroundings are exceptional , we had a family room which was more than adequate for our short stay. Would definitely stay again. Ideal location for Les Mans as we went to watch the Motor GP Bike racing. Our granddaughter loved the horses in the field! Cost us a fortune in carrots and apples !!! But so worth it.
Cons: Most of the staff didn't speak english. Breakfast a bit disappointing .
Pros: The castle and grounds
Cons: I struggled with understanding the dinner menu but that's my poor French language. We had an excellent meal after it was explained to us.
Pros: Friendly staff. Looks pretty on the outside.
Cons: Dirty bath and clogging.
Pros: Everything was perfect for us. Lovely friendly staff. Quiet countryside setting. Nice indoor swimming pool. Nice breakfast.
Pros: Despite the dated and faded appearance, dinner in the restaurant was reasonable. We had booked rooms in 'Dependance' which looked modern on website, but we never found where these were and were given rooms in the main building which apparently were an 'upgrade'
Cons: Overdue for refurbishing and generally rather worn and faded.. reception manager seemed distracted and not especially helpful or happy. No lift for luggage.
An 18th-century mansion, Chateau de Montaupin is a B&B set in a 1-hectare park, 28 km from Le Mans. It features an outdoor swimming pool, a terrace and free Wi-Fi is available in public areas. Decorated with antique furniture, the rooms all include a fireplace, individual heating and views of the garden. The en suite bathrooms are complete with bath or shower, toilet, and free toiletries. A continental breakfast is served daily at Chateau de Montaupin, and you can also choose to share meals with other guests and enjoy traditional cuisine. The hosts can prepare dinner upon prior reservation. Chateau de Montaupin is conveniently located near numerous hiking trails and the A11 motorway is 30 km from the property. Free private parking is possible on site.
Cons: If you want the chateau experience in France, this is not it. It's a travesty that people renovate a 14th century building as though it were a suburban bungalow. There is zero comfort in the rooms, vacuums and boxes of cleaning supplies left permanently on the staircase landings. Despite being the only person staying, I was shown to a room through a door at the end of the sad dining room labeled WC and beside the laundry room. I won't go on with the negativity, suffice to say this is not a juxtaposition of fin de siecle and funky 60s. I left early.
Pros: Evening meal was superb, very well recommended, and Marie was a wonderful host. What more can one say just a fantastic location and very comfortable.
Pros: The pool, the host was welcoming and nothing too much trouble we were welcome to have a picnic in the grounds and the breakfast was excellent. Recently re-done room.
Pros: It is a wonderful old chateau, with loads of character and history. We had an amazing dinner, with wonderful home produce and loved the big table dining. Would definitely stay here again.
Cons: loved it all.
Pros: The hostess was wonderful and very helpfull. The evening meal and the breakfast was brilliant. The chatteau is 150 years old and is beautiful.
Pros: The Château was beatiful. We stayed in the separate ‘round house’ which was completely charming. The reception was lovely and the evening meal was fantastic. The children loved the friendly dog ‘Bobine’
Pros: Lovely, spacious family room, very comfy beds and great facilities
Cons: No where local to eat
Pros: Nothing at all, as soon as we arrived we counted the minutes until we left. But such late check in times (perhaps even designed to limit choice), you are simply caught out and have no option. The place smelled of the chicken farm, especially in the heat and something equally as bad inside the house itself (something dead). As I write this, our cloths and belongings still smell of the place.
Cons: Felt unclean, smelled and is located next to a chicken farm.. if you could smell this feedback you would vomit. Couldn’t wait to leave. This should be removed from all booking web sites, as people like us rely on a fair and reasonable standard of quality. This isn’t it! It’s far far from it in fact. Shocking, the photos and the manner in which feedback is presented is misleading.
Pros: We found Chateau de Montaupin easily, but probably should have asked for directions. Welcomed by Bobby (friendly black labrador...) Beautiful room and large bathroom. Excellent and very good value evening meal with aperitif, big range of starters, then main course, cheese, dessert, coffee, all with local wine.
Pros: Lovely owners. Good food.
Cons: Everything was good!
