Pros: The warm welcome of the owner. The quality in every details : from the decoration to the food. The fact that there is only 3 rooms, the intimacy of the place.
Pros: Very pleasant stay with charming hosts and excellent breakfast.
Pros: We were delighted by the warm and gentle welcome we received. The villa is exceptionally tastefully decorated with an eye for style and detail. Breakfast exceeded all expectations: everything was fresh and beautifully displayed on the table in a the one of a kind and stylish breakfast room. Definitely recommended.
Cons: Joigny itself was very quiet. Most shops and restaurants are closed on Mondays. That is also the case in nearby Auxerre. However, Sylvie arranged a table for us in a nice restaurant during our visit of Auxerre. So no problem really.

Pros: Pleasant Stay but the food was very much overpriced compared with other restaurants of the same standard.
Cons: Pricing in Restaurant
Pros: The staff and facilities really exceeded our expectations. The staff was friendly beginning with the email exchanges, continuing through check-in and dinner, and they were especially helpful when we ran into trouble getting transportation on Sunday morning. They even stored our market purchases (there's a great Saturday AM Market in Joigny) in their fridge overnight. It was a wonderful stay.
Pros: The food was outstanding
Pros: The staff was delightful and very kindly ensured there was Soya milk available for me.
Cons: For me the bed was a little hard (I like memory mattresses). We had no chairs in the bedroom and, as we only had cereal for breakfast, that made it rather expensive.
Pros: Beautiful Setting, lovely grounds by river, refurbished rooms, excellent restaurant, friendly staff
Pros: Nice location and the scenic view of the town and the river from the terrace.
Cons: Room was really warm. Airco couldnt keep up with the heat outside.

Pros: Spacious rooms - very helpful staff - excellent service -beautifully decorated.
Cons: Food and drinks are priced high but it is a 5 star
Pros: Spa was well appointed. Restaurant was very good
Cons: Room and terrace was small
Pros: The building and grounds are beautiful. And we enjoyed the most amazing dinner by Chef Jean Michel...so many courses so little time!!!
Cons: Nothing should be changed!
Pros: Place very historic and some of our friends rooms We’re nice
Cons: Staff not very friendly or accommodating. One man spent the entirety of our stay standing next to the desk Looking miserable. Our room was very dated and no view at all. Not like the pictures on the website! Breakfast very expensive for what it was. Felt like the staff constantly asked us if we were eating in the two Michelin star restaurant as though it was a prerequisite of staying in the hotel. No pool. Wouldn’t return.
When you stay at Hotel Le Saint Julien in Saint-Julien-du-Sault, you'll be 11 minutes by car from St. Jean Church. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. Free self parking is available onsite.
Cons: The meal I had was terrible. It was out in the middle of no where. The only reason we booked it was because we thought we had to catch from there.
Pros: Rooms were nice. Breakfast was basic but OK. At least the Railway cafe bar was open.
Cons: No mention when booking that the Bar and restaurant were closed for 2 weeks. Nowhere else to eat near by so went hungry. Other residents were very noisy at night.
Pros: My husband who’s a train enthusiast loved watching the trains just opposite but it might not be everyone’ choice

Pros: Perfect for a night pit stop, driving from Switzerland to Ireland. Large parking for a jeep and 20ft trailer. Clean room perfect for a place to rest. Very safe and quiet.
Pros: The staff were very helpful and polite, the rooms are very spacious and clean. The hotel is very tranquil and well located. would have liked the car park to be within the building but that is me being picky because the car park was very safe and the area too was very safe.
Cons: The car park but that is just me looking for something to moan about.
Pros: Good value
Cons: A bit on the edge of town
Pros: Spotlessly clean - no marks, stains etc. Easy check in (by 20h00), paid for the 3 nights and in the room within 5 minutes. Door code given for later entries. Tidy gardens. Disabled access from the guarded car park (small charge). A large (30+ cars?) car park across the road (free), suitable for a coach party. Varied self service Continental Breakfast served in adjoining Conference Center (part of the hotel).. With fresh crackly French baguettes, yoghourt, juice, tea, coffee, ham, cereals, preserves, etc. Rooms (18) large, painted white and ensuite on 2 floors (no elevator!). Quiet. Flat screen TV. Comfortable beds. No air-conditioning, but heating. Windows that open.
Cons: Location is at the edge of Joigny, a 3 minute drive and a 15 minute walk downhill from the centre, however apart from Market Days, plentiful free parking areas downtown. I was surprized that unlike anywhere else I have stayed, the room doors need to be locked with the key from the outside... Normally in most hotels, the doors lock by just closing them, but not here ... !! Not a problem, but nice to know.
Pros: Not a lot.
Cons: Room spartan and clinical with no comfort whatsoever. Requested upper floor got ground floor no nets pedestrians walk right by to exit or restaurant. No privacy. Restaurant closed. Breakfast poor not worth 9 euros per head. Completely overpriced generally.
Pros: This modern hotel is fairly basic with very clean rooms and loads of parking both secure and open. The breakfast was good but the Restaurant was closed for August
Cons: The Hotel is remote from the centre being on the very edge of Joingy.
Pros: Very comfortable and clean, very decent breakfast and the staff were very polite. Beautiful riverside town.
Cons: It was a bit of a trek from the station but if you're driving, this place is great.
Pros: Room basic but comfortable. Staff pleasant. Breakfast okay. Everything fine for a one night stay, at a good price.
Cons: The whole set up was very soul-less. Hotel is surrounded by residential blocks, and it is quite a walk involving steep hills to the old town.
Pros: Not much - just about ok for an overnight stay but wouldn't return.
Cons: An out of town hotel on an industrial site. No A/C and windows that open onto a 24/7 noisy industrial unit! Very basic and no info for the customer.
