It is in a convenient location, yet quiet from the road. It is near other restaurants and bars - and there's a pool
The simple buth delicious meal served by beautiful staff personel! The very nice pool
Relaxed friendly hotel with excellent food. My wife and I stayed here twice, once travelling South, and again three weeks later returning. The hotel stands in its own pleasant grounds and we had a peaceful night's sleep on both occasions. Staff were helpful and friendly. Some English. The shower! It was not possible to adjust it in terms of position and direction. The only answer was to remove the shower head and spray by hand, all this whilst standing in a slippery bath without support. But we still loved the hotel regardless of shower!
Good honest hotel which provides a good bed for the night at a reasonable price
Nivce hotel, good rooms and a good restaurant. Reasonable close to Ardeche and other sites of interest.
Staff friendly and room clean. The bed was the most uncomfortable bed ever,it was sunk in the middle and we both had a bad nights sleep because of it.The restaurant was closed on Friday night but staff told us of a nice restaurant a few minutes walk away, which was good.
They know how to welcome the clients. That's important Not really
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and quiet. The garden and pool area was well kept and inviting. The breakfast was enjoyable.
Location in town center and pleasant 15-minute drive along the river to Marcoule; owner is friendly and speaks english; free wifi; excellent value. N/A
Nice to go to the river/canyon with a canoe or a kayak. Need a car to go there, 15 min. drive from the place you can hire canoes.
Liked: convenient location in town; friendly and helpful staff; good breakfast; free wi-fi that worked well in the room. Not liked: very small room; shower fitting kept falling off the wall; unpleasant smoking smell in the hotel, though it had no-smoking signs posted.
Easy booking. Good, helpful hotel staff. Room was small, hot and overpriced.
The place is central, close to restaurants. However, we could sleep without any problem of noise. The city is wretched.
Convenient location in town, cheap parking, free internet, owner is friendly and speaks english. N/A
If you are going to visit Provence, this is not the place to stay. There are 1000 better places. If you're forced to be in Pt. St. Esprix for a reason then this hotel is as good as any other. Avoid the town all together, if you can.
Good position for exploring surrounding area. Very comfortable. Wonderful welcome from the owners who were very happy to offer suggestions for dining in the town and surrouding area.
Nice comfortable relaxed hotel and excellent helpful staff speaking english and scandinavian, good brekfast,
Overall, a descent place to sleep. The staff are doing their best to make you feel super but... ...the place is still an old hotel to stay. Clean but old looking and feeling.
Well located with good hands on English speaking owners(Managers). Good location in centre of Pont St Esprit
The bright, clean room; the charming, friendly service; great central location
Friendly greeting and warm hospitality - thank you!
The hotel was run very professionally with friendly owners and staff. The rooms were excellent, clean and cosy . Hotel is in a convenient location by the town square. Breakfast and coffee were extra good.
The friendly help of the hotel owners and an excellent breakfast. The fair but that was not your fault just poor timing of the party by our friends
The garden was a fabulous little retreat...so beautiful! I really enjoyed sitting out there and would go back just for that. The room was clean & had interesting decor and a large bath which was nice and relaxing (tip: you can buy lavender oil at vignerons coop at roundabout on way into BourgSt.Andeol for a nice aromotherapy bath.) The A/C worked and bed was comfortable. I liked all the cool old artifacts and furniture in this old converted building. The town of Bourg St.A was kind of sleepy, but sweet and near to Ardeche Gorges. I wish I'd stayed longer there and at this hotel, but I was heading south so only stayed overnight. The owner spoke English and gave info about local sights and how to get there. I couldn't get the wifi to work, but could just have been a service provider temporary issue, as apparently there is usually wifi.Parking for this hotel is in front, in above ground municipal parking lot next to the river, but the entrance to the hotel is hidden & around back (no elevator) so you have to carry your luggage up hill and around the block from your car.I parked illegally for short time, in the back alley to unload/load my bags but this annoyed some locals who yelled at me in French.C'est dommage ;) At first, couldn't figure out how to checkin because noone at the desk & noone around, wandered around ~40 minutes & even contemplated leaving since couldn't find anyone-then saw bell way up high above head on left of doorway~lookUp!
Our host Oliver was there to help us in any way and he indeed did so - we need medicine for my wife and myself and he took us to the chemist and doctor for prescriptions - he spoke about this 250 year huge home with great detail and respect - closs to lovely food - i had the best lamb meal i have had any where in the world - back next year. parking was in front of hotel and we could see our vehicle we had to go around the back to get to it - it was not a major problem - the surround country villages made up for one small inconvience.
It is only possible to like this "hotel" if one has a weird sense of humour or is desperate to sleep in a museum. It is really a very expensive chambre d'hôte. There was no swimming pool as listed on booking.com. There was no wardrobe or places to stand suitcases, or TV, or any other facility. Breakfast was good quality but very small rations and no choice.
