Pros: Very good location with the terrace view to the river side. The host is very friendly. Nice breakfast.
Pros: My husband and I could not have asked for a better experience. The couple running it were warm and friendly. The view from the patio deck was devine as were the breakfasts! We truly hope to return to visit this location again.
Pros: Perfect location right by the river with lovely terrace overlooking. Extremely friendly and welcoming hosts who were delightful and have recommendations for dinner. Very good breakfast in friendly comfortable and very interesting surroundings. Very attentive hosts. Great to have music playing at breakfast! Lovely place to stay
Pros: We thoroughly enjoyed our long weekend - the rooms were perfect for our needs (with air-conditioning) and spotlessly clean. Our hosts made us feel very welcome and ensured we had everything we needed. Located right on the banks of the Ardeche and opposite the beach area, it was very easy to pop down to the river for a quick swim before breakfast. Fantastic! We thoroughly recommend this property and we would love to return again soon
Pros: Friendly and super clean
Pros: The friendliness and helpfulness of the host and Hostess. The breakfast was great and wonderful area to eat breakfast or just relax overlooking the Rhône River.
Cons: We liked everything about it
Pros: We loved this hotel. Central to town and the rooms were comfortable and clean and good air-conditioning very quiet. A lovely new bathroom. Our hosts Laurence and Jean Claude were lovely and friendly and were very helpful and gave us good information. The terrace for breakfast was lovely overlooking the water especially on a warm day. The breakfast was served on terrace and we had a great selection of foods and Laurence home made jam was tasty we bought a jar to takeaway. Yum!! Thankyou for your hospitality in your beautiful village.
Located in Saint-Martin-d'Ardeche, B&B La Vieille Source is in a rural location, a 3-minute drive from Clos Delorme and 6 minutes from Domaine Saladin. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: The hosts were very welcoming and on arrival, after a very long hot day cycling the Ardeche Gorge which was part of our route, they offered us cold drinks and fruit. Unfortunately my partner was suffering heat exhaustion and was unable to ride the next day and Bernard very kindly offered to drive us and our bikes to the next accomodation. There was a lovely pool and the breakfast was excellent.
Pros: Very welcoming.
Located in Saint-Martin-d'Ardeche, La Vieille Source Gites is in a rural location, a 3-minute drive from Clos Delorme and 6 minutes from National Nature Reserve Gorges of the Ardèche. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: nice pool, good price and location
Cons: there is no way that this property is suitable for 7 people (we were 6, with 3 small kids). The living room convertible sleeper couch fell when we slept on it. Only one small bathroom. The guests from the lower level (yes the placed is cramped) complained we were making noise! we were all asleep after 9 PM but one of us visited the bathroom a couple of times during the night, which is the only possible source of noise we can imagine. Hey, we should be able to do that, shouldn't we? And I got a phone call with complaint about that from AirB&B in the morning. Disgraceful.
Pros: Spacious apartment for a family. Great facilities ie own barbecue and terrace. Pool area clean and a good size for a family. Owners were very friendly and offered help where needed. Good at recommending places to visit.
Cons: Another family with five noisy kids.
Pros: Extremely friendly host with lots of local knowledge. Nice and child-friendly pool. Easy location for exploring the countryside. The canyons, the caves and the river all within 20 minutes drive. Nice free parking in shade. Aircondition in the room, and a big terrace in shade outside. All in all a very good hotel.
Cons: Personally I would have liked a little bigger pillows. But then again, I could bring my own.
Pros: I have never come across such kind and generous hosts. We had a tricky situation at home with my son who was hospitalised due to a rugby accident. In spite of our language difficulties, they couldn't have been kinder Nothing is too much trouble for them
Cons: Nothing. At the end of the day, this kind generous couple provides as much as they can within the confines of the accommodation provided. I refer back to the adage that you get what you pay for in this world. If you are a large family -and there was going to be 6 of us you would need to know that 3 of your kids will be in a triple bunk bed, mum and dad in the main bedroom and the 6th on the bed sofa which would make it very hug a mug. But the accommodation has everything you could possibly want and even has the use of a pool and spotlessly clean-all for a little over 100 euros a night or so for the 6 of you. If you want more space together with the use of a pool -then you would need to pay considerably more to find it
