Wide assortment of choices for continental breakfast. I wouldn't pay the full regular price. Try to get a deal somehow.
Everyone who worked there was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was a nice feature and my granddaughter loved the pool though it was small for an adult who wanted to do laps. I am planning to come to MN every 3 months or so to visit family and will book at SHS. A little noisy in the mornings, could hear people in the adjoining room talking.
very nice staff, super clean and comfortable rooms, impressive complimentary breakfast Noises could be heard easily from other units, including loud water running, voices, and stomping
I loved the room, the cleaning staff, and the breakfast was awesome! The room was nice and cozy and had plenty of space for my kids to play and not feel bored. The cleaning staff was very quick and efficient and dos a great job! Our check out was quick and easy! The girl at check in on 4/17/15 at night around 7 was rude and not helpful like a hotel check in should be especially after explaining how far we had traveled and how we accidentally made it to the wrong hotel. She was rude and didn't smile until we finally got our card verified.
A nice amount of space in a very quiet room! Blow dryer didn't work so a quick trip to the front desk for another dryer!
The hotel is in a great location and the lobby is well cared for. The room left something to be desired. There was mold on the bathroom walls, the shower/tub drain was broken off and the vanity sink didn't drain properly. Overall, the room just felt tired and could definitely use a refresh. If you have the option, I recommend you stay somewhere else.
I loved the full kitchen. We loved the 2 bedrooms. It was private. Wonderful and helpful staff. Uncomfortable furniture. No pool.
Having a full kitchen was an unexpected bonus, it helped me save on my trip. The room was NEW, the bed comfy and the staff respected by late 'do not disturb sign' that often seems to be ignored by other places I have stayed. Got a great night sleep and came back to a refreshed room. I wish there were a few more places to eat in walking distance, they are just a bit too far from the near by theater to walk in winter, but hey, near a great shopping. Their parking did leave something to be desired, I had to park quite away from my room, but could unload/register right by my door so that's minor.
Clean and maintained well. Friendly staff. Nice facility. In room coffee terrible. Bare bones rooms seemed business traveler oriented more the anything
Great location, was able to check in 4 hours prior, very accommodating Everything was great!
The rooms are spacious, well equipped and the location is amazing with quick access to 394 taking you wherever you need to go. Very quick ride into downtown (can see it from the hotel). The West End across the street has a grocery store, theater and nice restaurants within walking distance. The breakfast is really expensive so we walked across the street for bagels and coffee. It would be nice if they offered a mini version of the buffet, like one small plate for a reduced price. Our family of four would need to spend $80 for the breakfast buffet. The staff was not the nicest we have ever encountered but they weren't bad, just mediocre.
Everything was clean, staff was nice and helpful. I even got a warm cookie when I checked in. (although it did have nuts and I'm allergic) There was construction on the main entrance that confused the cab driver
It was quiet. Soaking wet bed. Literally. Disgusting. Not well compensated for this huge over site. Basic no frills hotel. Expensive breakfast.
Great restaurants, shops and movie theater across the street. 7 min drive from downtown. Sheets didn't get changed and when they took the towels they didn't replace them. Had to call the next morning to ask for replacements.
The location was convenient. We paid for a whirlpool room. The tub drained into the shower and with it brought up everything else lurking in the drain. We missed out on our plans at the Mall of America because of having to switch rooms as they didn't have anyone on to repair it and they spent forever trying to sort the problem out. The room we were switched to had blue tap holding together the edging of the whirlpool. Not very classy. We didn't even get an apology or compensation for any of it.
The staff was really friendly and the pool was nice and warm. The restaurant /bar was basically a bar. Me and my 5 yr. Old son didn't feel like we should even go in there. Not family friendly. Confusing, there was no host or signs saying seat your self or wait to be seated. The beds were alright. Although, a woman with hips such as myself, it was a bit hard. It felt like a big party hotel. Alot of the younger generation coming in and out. The pool was nice but pretty small.
Never again. I booked 2 beds as i had my kids. We got a king bed. One of my kids had to sleep in a chair. Their booking system can't figure out the difference they told me. It was all bad.
Staff and location and quiet!
Very clean and comfortable rooms. Doors close too loudly at night.
Very clean comfortable room for what i paid. The rooms looked new or renovated, it was very quiet, and top to bottom a great experience.
