Pros: Beautiful property with an interesting history and surrounded by a wonderful park. Hosts are very sympathetic and always keen on giving you advices on things to do in the area. Diner at the table d'hote is a must. Highly recommended
Cons: nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I loved the place. It was so idyllic and peaceful - and easy to get to all spots. Patrick and Raphael were so kind and generous - and welcomed us into their maison with so much love. The food is amazing and I wished I got to stay longer. We will be back!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect setting, beautifully furnished, gorgeous park, peaceful and quiet, wonderfully kind and attentive hosts, plentiful delicious breakfasts and delightful dinner!
Cons: Rien! What’s not to like in fact love about the property!!

Pros: Incredible hosts, beautiful food, lovely house with stunning gardens! Would definitely recommend!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: If you ever thought you would like to know what it is like to live like a French count, try staying at Domaine de la Brugere. This classic 100 year old manor house and gardens have been brought to life by Rafael and Patrick, two cosmopolitan Parisian businessmen with a flair for cooking (Rafael) and story-telling (Patrick). With only three lovely rooms, guests share a discreet and intimate experience of life in the beautiful Dordogne countryside. Make sure to have at least one dinner at the property as Rafael is a wonderful chef who takes pride in using only local (and wonderfully fresh) ingredients.
Cons: Everything exceeded our expectations
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great hosts. Wonderfull manor house with lovelly rooms in gorgeous landscape. Perfect place for recreation. Peacefully and stylish. Good starting point to explore the fantastic perigord region. Thanks to Pascal and Raphael!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We were welcomed by our host Patrick. What a warm welcome with a glass of wine! Great tour through the beautiful house. Our room and bathroom where large, clean and beautifully decorated. The dinner, prepared by Raphael, was delicious and we had a very pleasant evening with our hosts and other guests. The breakfast, all fresh ingridients and again dilicious. Tips from Patrick where to go and explore the surroundings where all great. The afternoon we spend by the swimmingpool, in total peace and serenity. We described the house and garden as if walking true a fairy tale. Patrick made reservation in a cosy and romantic restaurant where we ate on the last evening. I can not think of one thing we would change accept that we didnt stay longer. Thanks Patrick and Raphael for your warm welcome and perfect stay in a historic and true fairy tale like domain. We hope one day we will come back.
Cons: Nothing..
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Our charming hosts made every effort to welcome us to their charming home with a welcome drink on the terrace in their beautiful garden. We stayed for 3 nights and each morning enjoyed a delicious continental breakfast in the rather grand dining room. For us the location was superb - only ten minutes from the relations we were visiting; so mostly we ate with our family, but treated ourselves to dinner at Domaine de la Brugere on the final evening: a delicious meal prepared by Raphael, and shared with both hosts, who made us feel like very special guests!
Cons: Everything was delightful!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This wonderful mansion house is set amongst a luscious green back drop, with rolling hills covered in large impressive trees, a wonderful lake and a waterfall which offers peace and tranquility. Inside the property the original charm oozes from the moment you enter, with three equally beautiful rooms all offering their own style. The suite has an impressive four poster bed and originally decorated bathroom. Patrick is the most attentive and enthusiastic host, he offers so much knowledge and warmth. Raphael is an exceptional chef and his passion and flair is demonstrated on the plate in an abundance, truly delicious food. The pool is clean and fresh and a great way to spend a lazy afternoon. We look forward to returning next year!
Cons: A very minor comment, but perhaps a tea making or coffee facility could be provided in the room or communally. Having said that, the hosts were more than happy to make a hot beverage when asked which was very kind.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Quite simply one of the best hotel / guesthouse experiences we have ever had. We have been lucky enough to stay in some of the best hotels in the world but this one exceeded my expectations more than any other. If you’re like me and you endlessly look for the best hotel in a region for your stay, just book this and save lots of time safe in the knowledge your stay will be exceptional. The house is beautiful, the grounds are lovely and tranquil, the pool is incredible (mini fridge nearby for your beers / soft drinks) and the food is carefully curated for the guests (my wife is vegan and her needs were kindly met). All in all, just simply a fantastic experience. Thank you Raphael and Patrick for looking after us.

6.3 Good
Pros: breakfast was very well catered for . A shame there was on evening meal available at the chateau Also we were not given the local restaurant as an option which served very very good food and amazing atmosphere
Cons: for the money the bedroom was really small The shower had a block which Bill sorted for us but the drains were smelly On the terrace and around the pool others hotel guests were not considerate with regards to how many chairs they were occupying and therefore we had little option but to sit in the shade. I have no understanding of why there are fire bowls and pits but no readily available wood to burn ( disappointing as this was one of the features that drew me to make my booking.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The welcome and hospitality is second to none. The breakfast must be one of the best I have ever experienced- definitely 5star plus standard. Room very well appointed. Bed very comfortable. Location superb, very quiet yet convenient for many of the Perigord verte attractions.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very comfortable accommodations with a welcoming atmosphere that made us feel at home in a chateau! Beautiful property with well appointed rooms.
Cons: Only tiny item I’d change is a hair dryer is needed in the room, although I’m certain one was available, if requested. Every need was taken care of and great care was made to make all the guests feel at home.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was fresh and healty. pool was lovely. Chateau is located in very rural area and was very quite and relaxing
8.8 Excellent
Pros: This is a charming chateau truly out of the rat race. We really enjoyed 5 days of pool relaxing and some outstanding dining experiences near the chateau. Bill and Gwen are both lovely and made us feel very at home and welcome. Not to mention 3 of the friendliest cats around!! We are honestly recharged and distressed after staying here and do recommend it. Everything is tastefully put together with boulles, board games and a well stocked honesty bar.
Cons: Pity the restaurant no longer caters for meals other than breakfast, but there are great options a short drive away. The mobile signal is rubbish and free WiFi not that great... but that was part of the off the grid relaxing vibe and we didn’t see it as a negative.

Cons: Nothing. Only it's location is hard to get to by small roads
10.0 Excellent
Pros: During my stay at B&B Au Bord du Monde I've got to know the owners of this lovely place as the nicest and warmest persons in France I've ever met. I arrived late in the evening what was no problem at all and was invited to join the late dinner with the family after a warm welcome. After dinner we shared stories together and I was invited by Sophie to join her morning walk for the next day through the forest with her 2 dogs that she and Dominique adopted after they were neglected by their previous owners. The energy, enthusiasm and joy of life that the two dogs showed when walking through the forest represents to me what Dominique and Sophie are all about as persons; nice and caring people who love to share their place. If you stay near Villars in France, a stay at B&B Au Bord du Monde is a must in my opinion.
