Pros: Very friendly people. Clean room and lovely old house with nice interior. I recommend it.
Cons: The stairways. But it’s a minor inconvenience.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Even though we arrived very late and in the middle of a terrific storm, the welcome we received was excellent and the troubles of our journey here immediately evaporated. The room was in an ancient convent and very well appointed; it was so interesting to learn its history from Isabelle.
Cons: There is a steep staircase which might be tricky for someone less physically able
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Our children loved playing in the garden. The proprietors were very welcoming, and made excellent recommendations for places to have dinner (the crêperie very close by is excellent). The room was very clean and comfortable. Very tasty locally made fresh croissants and pain au chocolat were brought in for breakfast.

Pros: Isobel was an outstanding host. Her house was filled with beautiful furniture and she made our stay very comfortable. The room on the top level of the house had an airy open loft feel to it, with exposed wood and high ceilings. She gave an excellent dinner recommendation and prepared a beautiful breakfast for us to enjoy in the main dining room. Thank you Isobel for sharing your home and your time. We will be sure to stay again if ever in the area.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is an exceptional place – will be going there again! The very pleasant and large modern room and bathroom were immaculate, the bed comfortable and a good size and tea/coffee making equipment was available. The house is lovely, situated in calm, quiet surroundings, despite being within very easy reach of the A20 motorway (with Paris being about a 2 hour drive north). There is an informal and friendly atmosphere and the incredibly thoughtful host was kind and patient and went out of her way to make our stay as easy and relaxing as possible. Breakfast was fantastic –homemade jams etc. - served in a delightful conservatory with flowers everywhere! The local town of Chateauroux, a 10 min drive away, has several good restaurants.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful house and location. The owner is very kind and helpful. We were given a fresh juice while relaxing by the pool and she offered some of her home made strawberry jam to take home with us. We booked for one night but ended up staying two, as we liked this place so much. Delicious breakfast and comfortable, clean and modern room. Beautiful garden with a lovely view over the country side.
Cons: Absolutely nothing.

Pros: What a gem this place is, we shall be returning for a longer stay in the future. Great tranquil countryside location. Bathroom could easily be out of a 4 or 5 star hotel, room size very good and is provided with tea and coffee making facilities Breakfast freshly prepared and our host was lovely, can't wait to return. Great restaurants in the local town take advise from the host, she has good knowledge.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: This was really good. Great relaxing location albeit at the edge of a commercial zone. The owner was very helpful. We arrived late and in the dark due to heavy traffic. We phoned the owner who ensured we knew where the hotel was and reassured us that the booking was secure.
Cons: Everything was perfect, would stay there again.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Super friendly hostess Interesting decor Small and convivial
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Charming old buildings with character but bedrooms very well updated, spacious and immaculately clean. Air conditioning in the room was a bonus in the 35 degree temperature we endured. The breakfast was super with an abundance of home made breads, cakes and jams. The owner, Sandra, is the most welcoming person. A great start to our holiday.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: This B&B has a very good location right off the A20. We stayed here for a night as it was a great location between Rocamadour and the CDG airport. The host was very nice and the room was clean and comfortable. The air conditioning was appreciated as well. There is a kitchen area where breakfast is served and we were able to use the fridge to store a couple of items which was nice.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Extremely clean Very friendly hostess
Cons: Milk should have been available for guests in the fridge without having to ask.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This was an absolutely superb stay. You seldom meet a more welcoming host than Sandra who went out of her way to make us feel at home. It is always the little touches that make difference. Our room was very comfortable, breakfast heavenly and being able to swim and sit in the garden in the French countryside ensured that we have some wonderful memories to take home. We hope to go back again soon.
Cons: Nothing at all!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very welcoming owner, nice place overall, excellent room and very good home-made breakfast. Will definitely return!
7.5 Good
Pros: Madame was very friendly. Our room was immaculate.
Cons: Having to check in after 5:00 p.m. on registration day. Having to put in the access code for the gate to open in coming and going. It was rainy and dark many times and very frustrating attempting to punch in the code. It's located on a busy highway. To get a quality meal one needs to drive into Chateauroux. I didn't realize we were staying in a Gite as Madame Sandy told me.

Cons: More toiletries
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The room was spotlessly clean, stylish and modern. It had all we needed. Especially enjoyable was dinner with the host family and two other guests. The food was very good, both for dinner and breakfast.
Cons: It was a bit difficult to work out where to go on arrival - maybe some discreet signage might help. The building and gardens are very attractive but the immediate vicinity is not the most interesting. We are of an older vintage and the doorless arrangement with the bathroom is not our preference.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Very welcoming, friendly hosts. Really quiet location. Good home cooking.
Cons: Nothing.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: A beautiful and remote location with stylish, comfortable furnishings and an excellent breakfast with fresh fruit and homemade preserves. A very friendly welcome.
Cons: It is difficult to find off the main road so better instuctions would help. A door to the en-suite bathroom would be prefered.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Spacious and comfortable room, large attractive grounds, and a heated pool. Generous breakfasts, served on the terrace weather permitting. Very friendly and helpful hosts, who can provide all the information you need about the area - although if you want a restful couple of days, you needn't leave the property at all!
Cons: Nothing not to like about the property itself, although as the name suggests there are limited places to visit, dine etc in the immediate vicinity. But the hosts are very friendly and helpful in pointing you in the right direction for local amenities and activities.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Attention of the hosts, with a relaxed approach. Quiet rural location. Use of swimming pool and grounds.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: We spend a night in the David Livingstone room, one of the two rooms in the annex, with its own private entrance. We were surprised to be welcomed in dutch. Owners are from Belgium. The room was very beautiful with a very comfortable king-size bed and a fantastic bathroom with walk-in shower. Tea making facilities, and a bottle of fresh water were available in the room. Abundant breakfast - not French at all - with some local and home-made touches.
Cons: Local payment by card not possible, luckily we could agree on transferring the payment via internet banking.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Just a lovely stop over on our journey South, great location. So peaceful.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The suite was massive! It spanned the whole of the first floor and was all wood floors and design items. The location was rural and the scent from outside was of apple trees.
Cons: The place was hard to find: I was taken directly to it by using the co-ordinates given on Booking.com's information, but there was no sign for "le But du Monde", just Gites de France and Table D'Hotes. A dutch couple arrived and we all tried driving down the farm track, but it did not seem to be there. We were right in the first place, but really, it should have indicated something.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Super friendly people, nice and warm place to stay. I recommend highly !

9.3 Excellent
Pros: Very helpful. We were travelling with friends, but unfortunately they could not be accommodated. However the proprietors were pleased to let them share an evening meal with us. It was excellent and the massive thunderstorm which started half way through did not faze them at all. Also it was prawns for the main course which my husband cannot eat they quickly without fuss brought him something else.
Cons: Tea and coffee making facilities in the room would have been nice but did not spoil our stay
10.0 Excellent

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Location superb - just off a main route Facilities are excellent - a swimming poll has been added since our last stay in Sept 2018 Food absolutely stunning Superb wine list, although a bit expensive

10.0 Excellent
Pros: This was a really unique experience with beautiful rooms and completely personal attention from the moment we arrived. If you want standard hotel experience then this is not the place for you. Be confident about just relaxing into the environment and being spoilt in a very different way. This was a stop over en-route to the South at the beginning of a 2 week vacation. It was a great way to move from work to holiday mode.
Cons: There was nothing we didn’t like but one of our group was a bit younger and probably didn’t appreciate the situation as much as the others. As such I would recommend definitely for over 18’s and probably a bit older than that generally.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: An great place to stay set in large gardens. Gilbert was a superb host, nothing was too much trouble. It is worth taking the trouble to arrange for an evening meal (24 hours in advance) as the food was excellent.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is a 5 star hotel with super friendly and helpful owner and staff. The suites are impressive and vеry comfortable. Dinners are excellent but have to be ordered in advance
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Incredible chateaux experience. We were royally looked after by the “Lord of the Manor” (his words) Gilbert. His butler was otherwise detained. As we were the only ones there we were given a large suite at the top of the chateaux, which has been beautifully and authentically restored (by Gilbert) and is full of period furniture, paintings and incredible detail. He cooked us a most delicious dinner (bouillabaisse de Marseille) which was surely Michelin star standard. Breakfast was similarly sumptuous. He was witty, charming and full of worldly wisdom, not surprising considering his previous experience as a business school professor. Difficult to find the words to convey what a wonderful experience this was for us.
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Full of character, stunning grounds and Mr Gilbert was a very welcoming delightful host.
Cons: Nothing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This was a fantastic hotel where every detail is attended to. The Chateau and its grounds, the opulent furnishings and the attentive hosts made this a really lovely experience.

5.0 Okay
Pros: Location was OK but no restaurants in the immediate area apart from the hotel itself.
Cons: We did not appreciate the "Senior" definition on the hotel website. This is a residential care home that lets out spare rooms when not being used. It has the look and feel of a care home. This may not appeal to everyone. Our room was very basic and there was a constant throbbing noise from above in the bedroom. It was expensive for the facilities provided.
7.0 Good
Pros: Very roomy apartment.
Cons: There were only net curtains at the doors looking out onto the road with cars parked outside, which, in the evening, meant that you are rather exposed, especially in the bedroom. Also, there was a street lamp shining onto the bed all night due to the lack of a curtain.
6.3 Good
Pros: Big room
Cons: Its not a hotel, its a dormitory for the senior, weird,

Pros: Loved that the room was on the top floor even though there was no elevator. Wonderful cross-ventilation. Restaurant food and staff were outstanding. Was able to park overnight in front of hotel for 3 Euros.
Cons: Dinner didnt start until 7:30, but that’s France!
8.3 Excellent
Cons: Hotel was good for the price paid, with exception that only a couple of days before arrival I was notified by mail that on the arrival day the restaurant was closed, this being the main reason to stay at a Logis Hotel because it had a good cuisine rating. The manager on duty was extremely friendly and helpfull and took me to the railway station with all my lugage the day of departure. Hotel was OK even if no lift.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: comfortable room friendly staff and excellent food . Excellent location.
Cons: nothing
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Outstanding service alongside the owners attention to detail make this a very nice hotel to stay in. The rooms are comfortable, the bathroom was immaculate and we were well looked after in the bar! Breakfast was straight forward but delicious. We were passing through Chateaureux as we drove to the Dordogne region and wanted somewhere to stay for one night. This hotel is not a tourists hotel but a little gem nonetheless.

7.5 Good
Pros: It’s an ok hotel, nothing to criticise, everything went ok but we wouldn’t go back.
Cons: It has no character at all, the rooms are small, that’s ok but painted in very dark colours, furniture are black, all this makes the room to appear even smaller. There is nothing interesting decoration wise, the staff is polite but only the young man was very friendly. We stayed in another hotel in the South of France before: what a difference!!! Everybody was smiling at you, very helpful, paintings in the hall and hallways. Attractions, what to do were explained.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff were very friendly and helpful, nice meal in the restaurant, plenty of parking. Clean rooms and bathrooms.
Cons: Slightly strange to be in a light industrial estate / retail park but it is a business hotel not a holiday one.

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff and helpful. Room a good size with comfortable bed. Hotel situated on outskirts of town in a industrial/commercial area. This is fine as it’s all closed in the evening. We stayed here as a stopover coming back from Toulouse. Good mid point in France. Didn’t go out and explore surrounding area.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The room was clean with a comfortable bed. The staff were lovely especially the receptionist who checked us in. Food in the restaurant was good.
Cons: I couldn’t get my best western rewards because I booked via booking.com The complementary tea and coffee in the room was not good quality and there wasn’t enough for two people and no cups or teaspoons. I didn’t like the location in an industrial estate.
6.8 Good
Pros: Rooms were very clean and comfortable
Cons: The food and menu. Not a good menu for families esp with children. Also expensive.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Super comfortable bed

Pros: Very handy spot for a stopover. Easy access to town.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything else, especially Aircon in rooms
Cons: The card pay facility was not working. I have to travel into central of town and spent 30 minutes fin ING a bank machine to withdraw cash at a very poor exchange rste using my debit card which has now left me short of coach ft or the rest of my holiday
6.8 Good
Pros: Fair choice of breakfast items though it would be nice to see bacon and scrambled eggs like in B & B and Campanille.
Cons: Being able to cancel without charge when you find out that the restaurant that advertised such lovely ;looking food is closed. (This has happened twice) even though the ADVERTISING STATED OPEN 7/7. NOT IMPRESSED.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Conveniently located, clean, comfortable and reasonably prices
Cons: It claimed to have private parking but in fact these were spaces in a multi storey car park
